BT Server Down Often

Hi
I reported a problem to BT two weeks ago that broadband keeps dropping
Today it was down from 10am until about half an hour ago
No problem with my laptops connecting to my modem and modem connected to Internet, I even reset to re connect just to e sure.
BUT when trying to access the internet it fails for hours then all of a sudden ok again
I cannot run business on this leve of service I hve to go to sky but i nee to keep my btinternet email addy for a while I probbay have to pay
shat a rip off

No my point is that the wireless works fine which is what i tried to explain to the Live Support
FACTS.
1.
When Internet is not working I can still type IP address of my modem into browser on latop and modem appears in browser.
2.
When internet is not working the modem shows internet status of 'CONNECTED' and I can talk to the modem and change password etc from my laptop
Therefore I conclude that there is nothing wrong with the wireless connection between my laptop and the modem.
3.
If I then reset the modem from my laptop wirelessly - I can see the modem status on my laptop move to disconnected and then connected again as it resets.
4.
The only thing that does not work at this point is if I try and type a web address into the browser such as www.bbc.co.uk etc........the message is that server not connected BUT my modem is connected to the internet
5.
At some point later [hours] the internet will start suddenyl start working and website appear.
I conclude from this that:
a.
My laptop talks to my modem ok with no cable therefore NO PROBLEM WITH WIRELESS
b.
My modem is status is connected to internet NO PROBLEM WITH PHONE LINE
c.
Websites can not be accessed THEREFORE something between phone line and world wide web not working
d.
Worl Wide Web suddenlyy bcaomes available for the next week or two with no problems even though i have changed nothing i.e. I came home from work on friday and wenmt onto internet no problem all day saturday, sunday morning not workling all day then at 10.30 at night starts working - all this time modem connected and nothing changed my end
Now I have tested many systems in my time and there may be technical things I do not understand BUT for the live support to tell me they can do nothing until it goes down again and i have tested with a cable from my laptop to modem smells of B******t........Nothing changes my end and it goes up and down this suggests problem is other end it is logical.

Iam facing an issue with Aironet WAP's. Some of the WAP are going down often. This WAP are powered on with power injectors. As a workaround once after remove and reconnect the patch cable from patch panel to the power injector WAP will come up.

Once after reboot the WAP i would be able to access the WAP ,associate and passtraffic.
While WAP is down its powered on and iam able to console and could see all the radio interfaces are up, there are some logs for AAA radius server authentication failed ,find below

Hotmail server down?

Is the Hotmail server down because my NM is online, but won't sync the new emails to my inbox...even though I know there are new ones there. Not only is the syncing process EXTREMELY slow, but it will often go offline on its own accord. And I'm never notified of new emails in my inbox unless I manually sync it.
And the Inbox is sync enabled, I made sure I checked that before I posted anything. Has this happened to anyone else before? I've tried going offline, rebooting my phone and then starting it all up again but it still continues to do the same thing.
Any suggestions? I'm dumbfounded

We are currently working to resolve an issue with Windows Live Hotmail accounts in Nokia Messaging. Windows Live Hotmail require mobile phone users to resupply their password every 90 days for security reasons. We are investigating an issue some users are experiencing where their password is expiring much sooner than 90 days, resulting in a “Problem with your email” message appearing in the inbox.
Nokia and Microsoft are working to resolve this. In the interim, users experiencing this issue will have to enter their password again to get their Hotmail syncing properly. To resupply your password, follow these steps:
E75, 6710, 6730, N86 8MP, E52, E55, or E72:
Go to Options -> Settings -> Mailbox settings -> Password and re-enter your password.
Touch devices (N97, 5800, X6):
Go to Options -> Tools -> Settings -> your-Hotmail-address -> E-mail password and re-enter your password.
All other S60 phones:
Go to Settings -> your-Hotmail-address -> E-mail password and re-enter your password.

I've been getting the same message for like an hour now. Since everything was working fine a few hours ago, and nothing changed on my end before it stopped working, I'm guessing it's something on Apple's end. They probably already know about it by now, and are hopefully working on fixing it, so there's probably not much we can do but wait for them to fix it.

Health Service Heartbeat Failure Alert for Generated when one Management Server Down,

I have Two Management Server, every one manage about 100 server, when one Management Server goes down unexpected, I receive 100 Alert for 100 Server Health Service Heartbeat Failure.
My Question, why when the Management Server down, it send that all Managed agent Health Service Heartbeat Failure?
Is there a way to change this?

SCOM 2012 agent will autofailover when primary server is down. You can check the failover management server by using the following powershell cmdlet:

Production server down with corruption error

OS : Solaris 10
Database : 10.2.0.3.0
Our production server down out of sudden.Below are the errors :
ORA-01242: data file suffered media failure: database in NOARCHIVELOG mode
ORA-01122: database file 1089 failed verification check
ORA-01110: data file 1089: '+DGVICTORIA/dixie/datafile/undotbs2.1222.702393987'
ORA-01200: actual file size of 2580481 is smaller than correct size of 3932160 blocks
My database is in No Archive log mode.
Size of the database is more than 1 TB.
Please help me to bring the database up.

Yes this is true that no archiving is very dangerous. But because of space crunch we thought for no archiving.

We are facing a strange problem in our staging environment. It has two Sun one Dir. server 5.2 running in multi-master mode befind a load-balancer.
A Connection Pool has been defined on the Application server for the same with minConn=5 and MaxConn=80.
Load-balancer has a timeout value of 30 mins.
Now when, the Application runs a search operation on the LDAP , it throws the following error sometimes, however, most of the time it works without any problems.

its working fine in the development env. where we are not using the load-balancers and the ldap is used in stand-alone mode.

We're having a similar problem... I was wondering if you ever got to the bottom of this. In our case too most of the time everything runs okay... it's only once in a while that one starts seeing these errors.

Informatica server down frequently

Why the server down?

HI:
          I use the jsp code like the accessories in this mail, the
          jsp import a dbquery class ,the .java of the class also in this mail. And
          when I run the jsp call the class and run it
          the weblogic server down , and the server show me a message like this :
          # An EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION exception has been detected in native code
          outside the VM.
          # Program counter=0x1000a94b
          and in the browser, the OS also show me the application program java.exe
          run error.
          I ues intel PIII 550 cpu, and the OS is WinNT4.0, sp6, the weblogic
          server I use 5.1 edition, Sp4. jdk1.3 edition , jsp1.1 edition
          and I also give the startweblogic.cmd file to show you my java run
          environment.

          The same issue for us.
          The same solution : switch to Oracle Thin Client.

Urgent-- Server down?

We're having trouble accessing the server. Is the iTunes U server down?

WLS -JDBC sql server 2005, if sql server down bringing down entire cluster

Hi ,
From 4 WLS we connect to 4 indivudual SQL Servers 2005 (non clustered) , if one sql server goes down it is bringing down the 4 WLS servers. Tried all the possible parameter tuning in WLS nothing helped.
Is there any solution, if there is one sql server down can we mark the bad sql server down and don't create STUCK threads to all 4 WLS.

Hi Weinstein,
when one sql server went down we saw the SQL server SHUTDOWN in progress. We use the DRIVER weblogic.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver. When one server is going down connection pool is keep going to the same server and creating stuck threads.

A. ODBC 3.0 Service Pack 1 introduced a new API, ODBCSetTryWaitValue, to prevent the ODBC driver manager from connecting to an unavailable server repeatedly. ODBCSetTryWaitValue takes a DWORD parameter and saves the information in the registry at the following location:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Odbc\Odbcinst.ini \ODBC Connection Pooling\Retry Wait
Once the diver manager detects a bad database server, it returns an error message and marks the connection with the time. From that point until the RetryWait value expires, the driver manager returns a failure without trying to reconnect to the database server

When sending the data to DB using JDBC,the data is not effecting in Data base because of Java Server Down.
Is there any Procedure for Rollback the data.

There isn't any rollback functionality in XI.
U can try resending the data from XI.

When I try to log in to icloud on PC it says server downi

I installed cloud on my pic but when I try to login it says server down or problems. I can't log in on anything and I paid for cloud. Also new iPad update not available on my iPad. Grrrrrrr.
