BT Sport 2015/16 Season Query

I'm currently weighing up whether to move from Sky back to BT. One of the main considerations Is whether or not BT will offer BT Sport 'free' with BT Broadband. I assume BT have yet to make an announcement regarding this. Does anyone know when BT are likely to announce this or indeed have any inside info on what they are likely to announce.

NFL Mobile app

It was announced today by verizon that more everything customers will receive premium features for the NFL Mobile app for free for the 2014-2015 NFL season instead of the $5 subscription fee in years past. I installed the NFL Mobile app on my elipsis tablet and after 2 hours on the phone with verizon i was told this app in incompatible with the verizon elipsis. I was able to watch videos that are included with the app, but i wont be able to tell if i can watch football games on this tablet until football season starts. Does anyone else have a better answer for me?

Premium features on the NFL Mobile app can only be activated for Smartphones. The app does not have a live games option on tablets.
Below is a snippet I copied from the application information available in the Playstore.
"Verizon customers can upgrade to Premium Features on their smartphone for access to NFL RedZone on Sundays, and watch LIVE local Sunday NFL games in addition to Thursday, Sunday and Monday nights...."

How to Cut, Label, Save sports clips (40Hours, 500GB, 1080p AVCHD Source) for creating season highlight video in Premiere Elements 13?

I have filmed all of my son's basketball games this season and we are heading into the playoffs soon. I would like to find an efficient way to cut, label, and save video clips to create a highlight movie for the team banquet.
All video is AVCHD and saved on hard drive. A few games were recorded with a Sony camcorder 1920x1980i30(*.mt2s), the rest with my Canon DSLR1920x1080p30(*.mov). I will have about 35 or 40 hours of video by the end of the season. Probably around half a terabyte.
I own licenses to the following video editors.
Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11.
Adobe Premiere Elements 13 that I just purchased bundled with Photoshop Elements 13.
I struggled with burning AVCHD disks with the Sony software, so did the Adobe trial and everything worked great so I bought it.
I went through one game and clipped the highlights, but can't figure out how to label them, or export them as individual highlight files. I guess I would be OK doing this all in a single project if I knew that it would work, and if I could find a way to label the clips so that I can arrange them without having to preview the clip every time.
I am open to using other tools if they don't cost too much, free would be awesome since I don't do this professionally.

Yes, while I couldn't spend much time today at work reviewing the link ATR provided, at a high level I like ATR's approach as well, and it definitely is advantageous for that use case and rendering only the final product. My use case is a bit different. My son's high school webcasts each match which I then pull off their Youtube channel (with their permission, of course) and use their camera angles and their play-by-play guys commentary (again, with permission) to augment my video (which are closer to the action and much better quality than theirs, I must say). The kids get a kick out of hearing the play-by-play guy yell their name when the score or make a great play. So that is why I produce my clips separately. To me it is cleaner and I can store them for later use outside PE or any other project.
Anyway, regarding the actual shooting of the video. I've been doing this for awhile and there are two elements that are a must for any soccer shoot: a good solid tripod with fluid panning ability, and height. Getting above the action (like atop bleachers), for the most part, is an advantage most of the time. That is why professional sports are shot from above. While I do like to take a few minutes of every game to get on the sidelines and film at field level (this adds a bit of variety to the finished product, and you can't beat the ambient sounds you get when the players grunt and groan), you just can't capture the flow of the game from that angle.
The purpose of your video will dictate your composition. Are you trying to always focus on one player (one particular forward, back, midfielder or keeper) and get their every move (for the purpose of say, college recruitment purposes), regardless of where the ball or action is? If so, you'll want to stay tight on them, but not too tight - know where the action is and use the rule of thirds here with your subject player always in the left or right most third. Let the action, in this case, the ball, enter from the opposite third your player is in to allow the viewer to see a glimpse of what led up to your subject being engaged with the action. If your subject is a keeper, that is the easiest position to focus on of all. When filming just a keeper, I like to set my tripod up along the touch line about 30 yards from the goal line (again, elevated if possible), compose the shot using thirds again so as to let the viewer see the passing action as the goal is attacked. Its great to get a clip of the keeper making a save, but it can be much more impressive and entertaining to a viewer to see how it all unfolds and the choices the goalie has to make to be in the right position to make the save.
If your intent is to film the action where the ball is, regardless of the player or team that has the ball (like most professional sports coverage), it is much better to cast a wide composition. As you mention, it is difficult to find that sweet spot between being too far out and missing the intimacy, or being too close in and simply giving the viewer a headache as the shots zip around as you try and follow the ball. I've found the sweet spot for me is to shoot always keeping a quarter of the pitch in view. This allows for tight enough composition to keep the viewer engaged with the action, without having to jerk the shot around so much as to make them throw up. Soccer is quite fast paced at the high school level and there is quite a bit of "switching the field", where a wing will lob the ball completely across the width of the field to the opposite wing. If you are in too tight, you'll have to pan very quickly to the receiving side, and if done a lot, will not make for very entertaining viewing. There are other examples of why you shouldn't be too tight, but you get the idea.
I've probably written too long a post as it is for this forum, but I hope I've given you some things to consider on your next shoot.

NBA Playoffs 2015 on BT sport

Hi Im a massive NBA fan and following playoffs as well also one of the reasons ive got BT so
i could watch NBA but now when tryed to look up for games so i could record them it appears there is none in near week! Just recently in program list there was quite a few of the games but now cant find any...Where are they, is BT Sport going to show them? Thanks

I watched the Cavaliers vs Bulls game last night on BT Sport which was a classic game and afterwards when I was eagerly checking the BT Sport schedule for when the next game would be I was shocked/confused/gutted to find ONLY the following listed:
Wednesday 30 May: Draft Lottery - 1.30am (BT Sport 1)
Friday 26 June: NBA Draft - 12.30am (BT Sport)
Does anyone know if that really is the end of BT sport's game coverage for the season? Really really poor service if it is. It would be like stopping the premiership coverage with a month to go. If I'm wrong, does anyone know how to watch the games on BT Sport? If I'm right, can someone from BT Sport please add to this post and explain the "strategy" behind this? As I can't imagine a more frustrating plan of sport coverage.

What does the KZSF Season Pass include? (as of July 25, 2015)

I was thinking about buying the Killzone Shadowfall Season Pass (as of July 25, 2015). What content DOES it actually include? What content ISN'T included in the Season Pass?
Reason I'm asking is because based on the store description, it's very vague. I'm not sure whether to buy the Season Pass or the Insurgent Pack.

I would just get the insurgent DLC, the season pass also gives you voices, skins for bots, spolight moves etc but you can buy this in game with valor now that you can win in game (you don't pay for it). I think you can but the insurgent DLC with valor as well but it is random what you get when you buy a box with valor so it might take you a while to get all the guns, abilities etc.

Can someone confirm if i have got this right. I have BT TV essentials but my exchange is not infinity enabled.
Does this mean i can only watch BT Sport on my laptop?
Also, is there any advantage of me switching to Youview before i can get infinity?
Getting confused with the bombardment of info.

In fact there is a big disadvantage. The Youview box doesn't have a viewing card slot.
From what BT have told us to date the only way of recieving the BT Sport channels through the Youview box will be using Infinity.
With the BT Vision+ box customers in non-Infinity areas should have the option of using the viewing card to receive the over-the-air transmissions as pointed out in the previous post.

Unavailable sport channels in SD (playoff season)

I have only had Fios for 2 months and now the local sports channels Yes, SNY amd MSG are gone on my SD set top. Spoke with Verizon and they tell me I have to pay for a tech to come to my home? Just installed should they have not checked the wiring? All I want to know is wht is it only these 3 channels?

I don't believe BT ever completed a wholesale agreement for the HD versions and of course Sky have appealled the need/validity of the Ofcom decisions.
The Sky Sports 5 (SD) would appear to be a seperate agreement between BT and Sky.

5500 sport query

Hi iv recently bought this nokia phone, and was wondering if there was any way of setting the alarm for more than 1 day.
ie monday thru friday , rather than having to manually set it every night.
also does it have auto keylock rather than manual, most nokia's iv had you can set the phone to keylock after a few seconds

NBA League Pass 2014-2015 Season

Any chance that Verizon will bill the $199 Early Bird discount in 4 monthly installments instead of 2? When I had the subscription in the past, that's what they did. When I was going to order it today, the website states that it will be billed in 2 installments. I chatted with a Verizon rep online and she said they can't override the 2 installment selection to 4. I was going to make the purchase via Verizon, but I may go through NBA League Pass to order and just watch through my Apple TV. It's $50 cheaper. Thanks.

Yes, it is the nba digital package. I have an Apple tv and also Amazon fire tv, so the $149 digital only plan allows you to pick 5 teams to watch, I believe. I only want the Cavs games as I'm a Cleveland transplant living in Tampa.

Still waiting for BT Sport and Entertainment packa...

My Infinity BB and BT TV was installed on 02/02/2015 and I should have had with it, BT Sport and the Entertainment package. Calling every two days since 04/022015 has resulted me being told that the delay is due to the Order Dept. and I would have it within 48 hours of the call. I had also ordered caller display after the installation and my last call informed me that my order for all these items would be complete on 18/02/2015. The caller display arrived as promised (no failed order regarding this) but still no BT Sport or Entertainment pack. I rang on Thursday (18th) to be told there was a fault with the order and it would take, surprise, surprise, 48 hours to correct it. I have just tried to access these channels now and have been told they need to be set up and give a phone number, staffed by people in the UK (sales?) I rang the number to be told that my order had failed and promised me a call from the Order Dept. on Monday, another, 48 hours. Where does the onus lie regarding informing of a failed order, is it up to the customer to discover this for himself when he doesn't get the packages he is paying for, or is the failure flagged and the Order dept. contacts the customer? If the latter, this is definitely not happening.
Dealing with BT should come with a health warning as my current weapons grade BP pills are no longer working; it’s like banging your head against a brick wall. Is it too much to ask to get to see at least one Premiership game before the season ends in May? I had been with my previous provider for 13 years prior to changing and the number of times I had occasion to contact them could be counted on the fingers of one hand. I would still be with them as well if it hadn’t been for my son wanting a faster BB connection, half the speed I am contracted for by the way.

MotoGP races on catch up for 2015?

Is there anywhere to view Moto 3 / 2 / GP qualifiers and most importantly races on BT Sport Catch Up this year? They were all available last year via the app and I have found races from last year which are still online but Qatar 2015 isn't there yet. Don't have Sky so can only watch via the BT Soprt app and can't always watch live, please help!!

It is pretty infuriating at this point, they did this for much of last year. It's not like there's any editing time required, they don't upload qualifying and they cut the races down to just that, none of the full show or extras which I'd personally quite like to watch. Also the sound levels were often pretty off last year for numerous races, you'd think they'd sort these things out before uploading.
Either way this is pretty disgraceful for a sports upload, considering we have to go 2 or 3 days (or more) avoiding sports news so we don't get spoilers, I've already spoiled 2 of the 3 races for myself searching the BT Sport site to see if they moved the videos of full races elsewhere.
I never thought I'd miss British Eurosport's poor online service but the first race of the season not even uploaded by wednesday of that week, surely we deserve better than this? Watching MotoGP online was the only reason I got BT internet in the first place..

IF statement in Query

Hi
I have a query / recordset that would be looking at 12000 rows in a database and 10 different variables and potential filters chosen by end users.
Should I put 10 wild card / url Where statements in my recordset query or should I put IF statements in my query.
ie.
If URL colname then ",and BetType= "xzz"" .
Is that the most efficient way to run my queries.
I will be running about 10 recordsets on my page all looking at these url variables so it will be a busy page.
If that is the answer can someone please tell me how to insert the if statement - i've tried allsorts but it wont work.

That part of the query cross tabs my data into three columns - not intended to confuse the issue. I'd have the same problem with a basic query.
So Here is a very basic version:
I want an IF statement to go around: "WHERE Distance = 1000" and "AND Class = 1"
That I believe will reduce the effort on the MYSQL Server as it wouldn't be running a bunch of wild card queries and would only run if there is a URL paramter delivered.??
I just don't get how to put the IF statements in PHP.
