BT Sport Picture break up

I know picture break up is a common problem but I haven't yet seen an answer.  My router is too far away from the TV to allow ethernet connection so I am using the BT mains cable adaptors which I know is "not recommended" but I have no choice.  I have a smart tv so why can't the connection be by wifi?  Recently moved from Sky but beginning to think that was a big mistake.

That's interesting.  So to be sure I understyand correctly are you saying that if I link the sky box/card back up again I can swap the BT sport service back to sky delivery without the need to subscribe to sky?  Sounds an excellent solution.
In your position , I would telephone or even try Live chat. They would need to stop the delivery to your YouView box and then you should be able to get it enabled for the SKy satellite system.
One thing I should point out though is the HD on YouView is of a Higher definition than what SKY Use. I use both and BT Sport HD is far far better quality than SKY sports HD.
And yes, you do not need to subscribe to SKY. All that is needed is an ACTIVE Sky Card, but SKY can in the future charge for a new card.

I am making a movie from still pictures. I used no theme and then started adding pictues. When I played it back, all was well. Then I added a few more pictures and some sound. When I play iot back it plays just so far and then the sound continues, but the screen turns green or the pictures break up into colors.

Sorry, everyone.  I think I may have figured out what it was all down to...........
I had left the IDE ribbon cable plugged into my third HDD, with the power cable unplugged.  I did this so as not to endanger my years of work on the third drive, until Windows had setup.  I have in the past, accidentally chosen the wrong partiton to format, so this seemed a good way to avoid it from then on.
This was not a problem on my old system, but it seems this system doesn't like it.
I must have left the drive completely unplugged, the times Windows did setup.  Amazing really.  I couldn't see the woods for the trees.
Anyway, I'm sorry to have bothered everyone with my problem.
    Cheers
    Marcus
edit :   Sorry Syar2003, I didn't see your reply until I had posted mine.  Many thanks for taking the time to try and help me, it seems as though I may have sorted it now.  I am using IDE drives until I can afford SATA.  But many thanks for the heads-up on the NF4-SATA compliance, I'll be sure to bare that in mind.
I didn't actually check the NVRAID/IDE ROM version before updating the bios, so I have no idea if the revision was changed when Liveupdate flashed the Bios, I'm afraid.  I didn't know they would be updated at the same time.
    Again, cheers

  • Why do my pictures break?

I keep getting the broken picture icon when I try to perform various procedures, such as resizing, sharpening, adjusting contrast and brightness, or desaturating or changing  to black and white. I can't seem to get any rule of thumb about why it happens. Sometimes it happens with one thing, sometimes, another. Does anybody
have any idea why this is happening?

Yes, that is what happens. The photo seems fine until I try to save it, then it breaks. Do you know whythis happens? I did everything the way the tutorials said, to resize, and other functions, and still thepictures break. I tried lowering the resolution and I've cleared a lot of hard drive space on my computer, which meets the requirements for the program. Nothing seems to work consistently, although I've donesome very nice improvements and resizing on quite a few photographs.

Are you saying that the picture is not broken until you try to edit the picture? When you save the picture it shows up as broken in Organizer?

  • 'Full Screen' view picture breaking up or pixelating? Any suggestions as to why this may be happening?

When switching to 'Full Screen' view I'm finding the picture breaks up and/or pixelates? Any suggestions as to why this may be happening?

    Tony,
The images are are all in the range 8-14 mpixels. File sizes are ca. 5MB and ca.12MB for RAW images. I'm not sure whether RAW images are giving this break-up of the Full Screen view or purely JPEGs. I will look into this when the problem recurrs.
I'm certain the problem is not occurring due to zooming, but is apparent with normal, but edited images when I switch to Full Screen. It is an intermittent problem. When it occurrs shutting down A3 and restarting does not seem to resolve the problem, but I believe rebooting my iMac does - at least for a while.
As a relatively new user I'm afraid I don't really follow your Point 2. In A3 Preferences, the Previews are set to "half size". Are the Master Images not just the unedited version of the photo in Split View that I am looking to view in Full Screen?
Certainly, if/when this problem recurrs I will try pressing M in Split View, and then viewing the Master Image in Full Screen to see if the problem disappears. However, I don't really want to view the original image, but the edited image.
Apologies if my responses are rather simplistic, but any further suggestions would be welcome
    Alan

  • BT Sport Picture Quality has the quality been set ...

    Hi
I'm enjoying watching the Norwich v Aston Villa match by mirroring it from my Apple TV to my 42 inch screen . I have no blocking issues with picture now which means that the capacity issue has been relsoved thanks. Looking at the players close up the picture quality is "good" but when the picture zooms out and when you have small people on the screen the quailty of the picture moves to "low" (Large areas of constant green).
Looks like some form of picture quality algorithm is being used to reduce the image quality.
Can BT please comment on this please?
If the quality can be improved a little more I would appreciate that.
    Thanks
    Brian

    - do have HD channels 101 to 104 but thought they were delivered via Freeview; there is no problem with the picture on these channels.
No, on a BT Vision+ box channels 101-104 are HD channels delivered over the Infinity broadband connection. You can see the 'bTV' symbol displayed after the channel name for them when you change to them. On the BT Youview box then come over the aerial as Freeview HD channels.
If you are getting a good picture for channels 101-104 over Infinity then surely that proves that there is absolutely nothing wrong with the HomeHub, the BT Vision+ box or the cabling.
I have no idea why you would get problems with the picture for channels 507-509 (and possibly 510-512 if you get them in HD) if 101-104 are working fine. That sounds like a problem at BT's end?

  • Encoded picture breaking up with vertical lines (interlacing?)

I've exported a video (720 x 576) from FCE. It contains a lot of fast-moving action from an athletics event so I'd expect a bit of picture distortion on the version I've published to YouTube which you can see here:
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfUdF_D-I20&fmt=18
You'll see vertical lines appearing at certain points and I wondered if anyone knew if it was possible to avoid this happening?
I have a feeling it's something to do with the interlacing of the video. Would that be right?
    Thanks for anyone's help.
    Mark

David, I am of course referring to the HORIZONTAL lines. Clearly I don't know which way is up today, which is the result of a late night edit to get that film finished in the early hours.
When exporting from FCE, there is an option to deinterlace the source video. Should I check this box and will this solve the problem?
I'm not at home just now so I can't try it out until this evening.
    Thanks for your swift reply.

Apologies for the issue and the experience that you described above. As JayInAlg mentioned above, this condition can and should be corrected. The link below provides some general information on this condition:
    http://forums.comcast.com/t5/XfinityTV-and-Equipment/Pixelation-video-and-audio-dropouts-One-Moment-Please-S0a00/td-p/2361331
To be clear, for video issues with the TV signal like what you described above, it is almost always a local signal issue, bad cable, amplifier, splitter or outside the home issue.
I have asked a colleague to review your account and reach out to you so that we can get this condition resolved. A technician visit may be required to resolve.
    Thanks for your patience.

  • BT Sport Connection to TV via Intel Wireless Disp...

Has anyone been able to successfully connect the BT Sport online player to their TV using Intel® Wireless Display (Intel® WiDi) on Windows 8.1 on their pc/laptop. When I try the player immediately stops and shows the error codes 6025 and VC019. I have tried the various suggestions I have read on the Forums and BT Help such as re-setting the clock and unticking and ticking the "Enable download and updates to components required for protected content playback" tab in Playback on Silverlight but all to no avail.
Or is it just a case that BT blocks screen mirroring, like 4oD for example, on their online player. I would have doubted this though as I have a tablet with Miracast and can mirror the BT Sport App to my TV. However there is quite a lot of buffering and picture break up. That is why I wanted to use Intel® Wireless Display from my laptop in the hope that these picture issues would be resolved. I appreciate that I can use an HDMI lead but it does rather defeat the option of having Intel® Wireless Display.
Any help or comments on this issue would be very much welcomed. Thanks

Hi pottyperson Thanks for getting back to me. As a last resort as it works with your Windows 8 I have tried yet again to connect my laptop to my TV by both HDMI lead and by Intel® Wireless Display. And I have finally found the problem. It lies with the Intel® WiDi and not the HDMI port. If I connect my laptop to my TV using the Intel® WiDi the BT Sports stream immediately cuts out. And then if I connect the HDMI lead it still cuts out. I have discovered that I need to actually go into the Devices Settings on my laptop and disconnect the Intel® WiDi Display (my TV). Then if I re-connect my laptop to the TV by the HDMI lead only then hey presto it works!!! So you are right in saying that it probably had nothing to do with the HDMI DRM issue so yet again I have been given duff information by BT Sport Technical Support. It must be clearly down to Intel® WiDi compatability issues. I can live with that. The performance is better anyway using an HDMI lead rather than wirelessly as there is no lag or picture break-up.
If however anyone else has actually got Intel® WiDi to work with BT Sport I would be interested to hear from you. Thanks

  • Pictures in drop zones look mushy

I have a menu in DVD SP with a movie in the background and a number of text based buttons, I am trying to place my clients logos on the menu as well and I am creating drop zones for the logos and placing them where I need them. Trouble is they look mushy, when I make them the small size I want them to be the pictures break up and don't look clean.
Is there a preferred format for the logos, I have tried jpeg and tga.
I have tried the same thing by making them real small in FCP and exporting that as the B/G movie, but still mushy.....
    Any help appreciated!

Something you may want to consider is making the whole thing outside of DVD SP (Photoshop or otherwise), DVD SP is not a good scaler plus what you are doing (workflow with text and the rest) means DVD SP is also compressing the menu.
In some instances DVD SP re-encodes menus and they can look poor - check out the manual DVD SP 4 (Pg 230 of the PDF) for certain instances (not all) where menus willl have to be compiled/rendered - try to avoid them if possible.
You can acccess the bits and pieces used by DVD SP for working outside DVD SP

  • Why do forms break up when doing a ctrl zoom?

    Hello,
When I do a ctrl-zoom (holding down ctrl then using the mouse to zoom in) then as the screen gets smaller, why do certain forms and images break apart? For example on www.theatrebuddies.us why do the pictures break up onto separate lines? This doesn't happen in Internet Explorer but makes me worry there is a problem with the HTML/CSS?
    Many thanks!
