BT Sports Not Working on Sky
Called up Sunday to add BT Sports, started a new 12 month infinity contract, gave over Sky viewing card.
Wednesday evening and sky box still says "Call to get BT Sport".....
Anything I can do?

BT Sport not working on my sky box

I registered for BT Sport at the beginning of July, and it has been activated, i know this cause I can access it on my phone, and computer, however it is not working on my sky box, I presume that the card no is wrong.
I have phoned the call centre but unfortunately they cant help me, they don't seem to understand my problem, and they told me to unplug my bt vision box, and when I said I have not got a bt vision box, he said he couldn't help me.
Could one of the mods look into this for me please

The "help" message on the bt sport page says call BT - you do this and after being passed around for over an hour I finally gor through to someone who said that I was set up on the BT system so it's down to sky !!! Oh, and by the way, BT you never rang me back when you said you would!
Tried ringing them and all lines were busy - maybe a few others had the same issue ???
What a farce, will try again later once I've calmed down... -
ITV appears NOT to be working on Sky Go this morning. There is a Big ITV MERDIAN sign on screen, so not sure if this is being upgraded, which is great if upgraded to my local area as could only ever see London news. Is this a temp glitch? Affected on both XBox and iPad.
It appears to be working now, however still don't get local news on GMBH. Will be interesting to see if get local news on main news programmes.

DSL AC68u not working with sky ADSL?!
Hi, I am in serious frustration here. Today my Asus DSL AC68u arrived and I've been trying for about 2 hours to get it working. I have 2 major issues:
1. The DSL line is reported to be "unstable" in the web interface and the DSL light keeps going out on the router itself.
2. The internet light does not come on AT ALL and when I try and go onto a website it does not work.
Please help, I have gone through the setup process twice, I tried setting up manually and letting it detect settings automatically as well and I have no luck. Remember, I am on ADSL, not fibre. My old Sky SR102 was working fine before I set it up with no issues whatsoever and I don't know what to do. Any ideas? Thank you.Thanks for the help people but I have doscovered I have problems. Just spent ages on the phone with Sky broadband and there are problems with my service but going to have to wait 72 hours whilst they perform tests and look in to it. Can anyone explain this to me please as I cannot get my simple little head around it. Sky told me they have boosted my line and I am now getting 7mb, something I have never had and still don't. I logged in to my router which also confirmed 6969kb and yet my internet is so slow its cringe worthy. I cannot load Youtube videos or play simple games on facebook and if I perform a broadband speed test with different website they report I am getting around 11 to 12kb. Which is right, was also being offered fiber which I cannot afford but whos to say I wont have trouble with that.

I have used Firefox for many years, about a week before Christmas I tried to used Sky Go for the 1st time in about 6-8 weeks and it wouldn't work. It was as if there was no player at all - no buffering, no error messages, just a white background box where the player is meant to be. I recently found out that BT Player also doesn't play. That too just acts as if there is no video player there. Both used to work fine, and both still do in IE and Chrome.
I have the Ad Block Plus and Flash Blocker add ons installed, but disabled for Sky Go. I have deleted and re-installed silverlight as per Sky's suggestion, and I have the Silverlight plugin "always active" in the plugins tab. The only changes that have been made since when they both worked last, and now, is updating firefox version, and changing my Internet Service Provider.
Any help? I really can't stand Internet Explorer, and I'd rather use firefox than chrome as it's what I've used and trusted for years.hi anthony81, can you try to totally disable flashblock for testing purposes once in the addons manager, restart firefox and see if it is making a difference?

It was working until one min into the game then the screen went blank but only got audio. Logged out but I can't login as I am getting a technical error message sating ID004.
It's not the broadband speed, but typical from BT - what is going on...iHi there Ak223,
The game is not available on the Sky app. It is available on the BT Sport app or on www.btsport.com

Bt sport not working but all Internet channels ok
For over about 2 months we have got the error message up ipc6011 whenever we try to watch bt sport. All other Internet channel work fine including catch up and you view. This is beginning to get frustrating as it is getting upto the end of the free months and we have barely watched any games. I have gone through the suggestions for the error online and it still doesn't work. Anyone have any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum and thanks for posting. Sorry you're having problems with the BT Sports service. You've mentioned going through the online help but can you double chack 'IPC' error codes on YouView and let me know if it helps. Ipod touch not working with sky wi fi
hi can anyone help me to set up my ipod touch wi fi connection. have only tried to sky and all i get is invalid passcode.

when typing in the sky password (key) after every letter, you have to press caps again (the shift key)
as the whole or most of the sky passwords are written partly or completely in caps
so basically you need to press the caps key more than once because caps doesn't stay on -
Bt sport not working on iPad Air iOS 8
It installs, I can enter my login details, accept it to use my location but that's it. It then just hangs with the bt background there. I've uninstalled, reinstalled, reset the ipad to no avail. I can't watch the live content via safari as it directs me to install the app, which isn't working.
Any ideas on a solution?
TaWorking fine on my iPad air yesterday... With iOS 8..... I also used it before and after installing the 8.0.2 iOS update.
Did you have it working before on iOS 7 before upgrading to iOS 8 ? -
Record button not working on Online Sky Guide

Sky+ HD remote - certain buttons not working
My remote has suddenly stopped working properly. the following buttons aren't working : TV guide, sky, select, i, and the directional buttons. pretty annoying so has anyone got an idea how to fix it please?
IDoes the light on the remote or the box flash when you press any of the buttons you mentioned if not you may want to try resetting the remote.See below.
As the title says how to reprogram Sky remotes (and reset them to factory defaults which can cure non operating remotes. All remotes have at least 8 different modes (HD have 12). Obviously standard remotes do not have the Sky+ function buttons but recordings can be played from the planner by highlighting and pressing "Select" twice and stopped by pressing "Backup" - no pause, FF, Rewind or Record buttons (but recordings can be set from pressing "record" on the box.
For most remotes Version 4 and later (white label inside battery cover)
1 Press "TV"
2 Press and hold "Select" and "Yellow" together until red led in remote end flashes twice (On HD remotes "Select" and "i" together) - if it doesn't flash twice then remote cannot be reprogrammed (clone or too old)
3 Press "0" to operate standard box, "1" for Sky+ and on HD remotes "2" for HD - remotes in Sky+ mode will normally control HD boxes as well
4 Press "Select" - red led should flash twice
5 Press "Sky" and away you go
Any remote in Sky+ mode will also operate HD boxes BUT this can be stopped in some remote and box combinations in the following way (it certainly works on Amstrad DRX890) boxes but NOT Thomson HD boxes)
1 Press "TV"
2 Press and hold "Select" and "Blue" together until red led in remote end flashes twice - if it doesn't flash twice then remote cannot be reprogrammed (clone or too old)
3 Press "1"- There are 4 different modes here 0, 1, 2, 3
4 Press "Select" - red led should flash twice
5 Press "Sky" and away you go

Imap not working (sky mail)
Hi,
I am having issues with my mail on my iPhone 4 iOS 4.3.3
I use IMAP from sky, and I have checked all the settings multiple times with the sky support, however I keep getting the following error
Cannot Get Mail
The mail server 'imap.tools.sky.com' is not responding. Verify that you have entered the correct account info in mail settings.
These details are correct, as I have not changed them. This just stopped working, I did not do an upgrade.
I have deleted and readded my account multiple times, and also been working with sky to get this issue sorted, however there is not a problem there end, so I must be doing something wrong, or my phone is not working properly.
Does anyone have anything additional that I can do?

ColinFurther to my earlier post today. Deleting my BT a/c in mac mail yesterday and adding back as new A/C did not work and both my A/c and my wife's continued to time out. I finally went into the a/c settings once more, deleted my password and re-entered it and saved the change. Surprise surprise, this re-established imap contact and downloaded all my folder contents once more. Not only that, it restarted my wife's e-mail in her logiin without the need to delete and re-enter her separate E-mail password. My password is the master for using BT Broadband and somewhere this had got lost/ corrupted in requesting imap mail to our iMac. I hope this is a permanent solution and hope this helps others whose imap service fails.

BT Sport activation not working
I have just switched to BT phone and Broadband. When I try to activate my BT Sport for use with laptop / App the automated checker keeps telling me I do not have Broadband. Clearly I do have Broadband with BT, so why can I not activate BT Sport?
I can see on the forum I am not the only one to have had these problems. I have tried some of the solutions suggested, but it does not work. Phoning BT has so far meant a 20 minute minimum wait for an answer on each occasion.
I am regretting leaving Plusnet, who were brilliant at customer support and responded promptly both by phone and online. But I am where I am.......so anyone any bright ideas what I can try?
Thanks from frustrated in Somerset!Well, I managed to find myself in contact with the Executive Level Complaints team. My problem was resolved and BT Sport is now working. I received excellent support from the ELC and can only say they did a great job.
I hope some form of training for the rest of the BT support team comes out of this. The ELC found the problem and fixed it very quickly, just a shame their normal support operation wasn't as efficient.
Anyway, for now I am a happy BT customer. -
Yahoo/Sky email not working
My Yahoo/Sky email has stopped incoming mails into my iPad for no reason. They are still coming into my iphone as normal. I have tried deleting the account and reloading it again. It will send emails but not allow them into the Inbox. They are not going into the Junk either. Any ideas how to reinstate. (Simple answers please!!)

Assuming you have fed all the correct information into your iPad to set up Sky/Yahoo mail, and say you have done this several times to try and get it working
Then perhaps like me you will have to completely re set your iPad.
I found that repeatedly inputting the email settings had corrupted something somewhere
Even Sky confirmed my settings were correct but only a complete re set made things work
If your iPad is not accepting your settings I found this to be due to misinformation from Sky
All I can say in a simple way is that when you are filling in the appropriate setting up boxes, Always put your user name as your FULL email address.
If you dont do this and merely put your name ,then it will not work
Sky dont tell you to do this
