BT stack installation on Satellite A200-23U

Hello!
Then I install Toshiba Bluetooth stack, setup manager stops at 5 point in progress bar and never ends, I solve this problem by renaming bth.inf.__. (__ added automatically to this file during installation) into bth.inf, BUT there is another problem are shown: all drivers installs successfully, but system always 50% cpu loaded, right-click on blue icon in tray causes unclickable menu, and after all ALL Bluetooth drivers automatically remove from windows device manager if I wait about 50 minutes
I think that some process in my Vista deletes this drivers after 50 min from my system but I don't know why it can be! Maybe OS want to install her own stack and that's why delete my Toshiba drivers...
Any answer can help me!
P.S: I tried almost everything (different stacks, fnf8 key, so. please, don't tell me usual answers like: newest version of stack and so on), just remember - this problem isn't standard and have maybe some interesting and unusual decision
Waiting for responses to any above-shown problem that I have with my Bluetooth.

Thank you for your reply!
Yes my notebook equipped with bluetooth cause about 5 times i succeessfully install drivers i made it so: install BT stack and then it on 5 points, i install bt monitor and about 1 time in a day this trick can complete! After that i connect bluetooth mouse and it works, so i make the decision that i have bluetooth in notebook (bluetooth mouse work perfect), BUT after 50 minutes Vista automatically remove my devices from the device manager! i try to install again but nothing... it looks like very strange for me! maybe there is some process that stops driver installation or process that remove my devices!
I fighting with bluetooth already about 14 days ?))) i just want to use my bt mouse but it is a destiny that i can't do that! Today i reinstall vista from reanimator dvd, but that doesn't help! I want to install vista ultimate or XP sp2 to solve this problem but something inside me screams that it also can't help me with bluetooth )
Call to ASP - yes it can be my last chance but i don't sure that it is a real hardware problem ) cause 1 time a day about 50 minutes my bluetooth work perfectly... but of cause if i don't find the decision of problem i will call to them
More than that, in this forum was 2 guys with the same problem, and in my country (russian forum) i find other 1 man with such problem, so there are only 3 people with this BT problem

    Hi!
Where I can find BIOS update for this notebook for Windows XP?
    Thanks.

    > Is it possible install other similar BIOS for XP from the Toshiba American driver page? Are there some forecasts for appearance of BIOS XP update on the Toshiba European driver page?
I would not recommend installing different BIOS updates from different notebook series on the Satellite A200-23U.
The point is that a wrong BIOS or not compatible BIOS can damage the ROM module or the motherboard!!!
    I would not risk this!!!
Fact is that you should update the BIOS only with the version which was designed and published especially for your notebook model.

  • Satellite A200-23U - DVD-ROM problem after firmware update

Hi! I have A200-23U (TSSPcorp CDDVDW TS-L632H). I update firmare first to TO02, then to TO03. None errors was shown. After reboot my device is locked (doesn't open/eject by button or by any software) and ImgBurn (for example) can't find any writers. In system devices now it's shown as:
IDE\CDROMTSSTCORP_CDDVDW_TS-L632H________________*BOOT*____\5&1AC5D6C0&0&0.0.0 (I think there must be *TO03* but no *BOOT*)
What's wrong and how can i fix it?
PS Sorry for my bad english .)

I won!! TSL632H_TO??.exe - it's just SFX-archive that can be unpacked by WinRAR (for example). And then we got SFDNWIN.exe program and firmware dump file (*.bin) separately, which can be used to upload firmware without any checks (compatible/non compatible).

  • Satellite A200-1FL: Bluetooth installation issue on Win 7

    Hi everyone,
I have a Toshiba Satellite A200 1FL (PSAE6E) with Windows Vista and I've just installed Windows 7 32 bits (not update nor upgrade).
The problem is that when I try to install bluetooth stack, it installs everything ok but the driver.
    I picked version 7.10.12 for Windows 7 32 bits from http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/?page=download.
The driver installation window shows up and the progress bar doesn't move.
I've waited for a long time and nothing, no response, so I have to cancel.
Nevertheless the software was installed and when I try to start Bluetooth config or any other tool, the same happens: The driver installation window shows up and nothing.
Also I tried to follow order install instructions from toshiba download drivers page guessing which drivers match each options.
May anyone know why is this happening?
Am I missing something or is there any known issue with the Bluetooth driver in Windows 7?
    Thanks in advance,
    Jorge

The situation happens to me even when the wifi is on. The default SO of my laptop was Windows Vista. I formatted everything but the recovering partition and installed Windows 7. Almost all the drivers and software available at the Toshiba drivers page for Windows 7 seem to work fine. Even some of the drivers mented to Windows Vista
Anyone has any other idea? I discarded hardware because the wifi works fine and the driver installer is capable of detecting when the device is on or off.

  • Cannot start recovery installation on my Satellite A200-28P

I am trying to restore my Toshiba laptop Satellite A200-28P (Windows Vista Home) using the product recovery disk supplied with the laptop, no matter what I try to do I cannot get it to run, the only thing it will allow me to do is restore the laptop to an earlier date. I have full admin rights on the laptop, there are no virus's or any other malware on it, all this seems to have happened since it updated with windows vista about two days ago, have uninstalled the updates but that had no effect.
I cannot find the recovery console any where on the laptop yet I know it was there before. I have tried many of the solutions found on the web but none of them work. I did use the recovery disc about 2 1/2 years ago when the laptop crashed and it worked fine then.
    Any help apprecited

I cannot remember anymore how it was with A200.
Have you got recovery DVD only or you were also able to start HDD recovery installation using F8 at start up (Advanced boot options > Repair my computer)?
Anyway, your problem description confuses me.
If you use recovery DVD as bootable disc there is no repair console or some options.
When recovery installation starts you can just see menu where you must click on next.
Please check my lats posting on http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=61124
Can you see the same when notebook starts to read recovery disc?

  • Satellite A200-1CR: Can I install Vista using my Vista installations DVD?

    Hi
I would like to have some answers in my questions......
I have satellite A200-1CR (PSAE0) and I want to install vista on my own....not with the recovery DVD but I have some serious questions....
    1) May I have problems during installation....(SATA drivers, etc) ,problems with BIOS or Toshiba has no such restrictions?
    2) Is it problem if I erase the secret partition (winre) and what is its use?
    3) If I do a clean install with my DVD with my vista....if I want in the near future can I use the recovery DVD I have got or not?
    4) In drivers section for my laptop for each part has 5,6,7 either 8 drivers for win vista...which one is the proper or it's all the same?
    5) In general what do you suggest? Are there any reasons why not to do my format??? I have done a lot of formats in desktop but never in laptops.
Sorry if tired you with my questions, and sometimes my bad English....
    Thank you in advance........

    Hi
I think I can answer some questions lets start with
    > 1) Vista DVD has SATA drivers but WXP doesn't. Do you think the possibility not to recognize the HDD is high? I can't understand where you mean to install the HDD drivers.....
As Gipsyman already posted you need the Intel Matrix Storage Manger. If you use the XP then this driver must be installed from the external USB floppy disk drive. You have to put the sata driver on the diskette and should include the SATA driver while the
Windows XP setup is running. I think you have to press F6 to include the driver.
But if you dont have a external USB floppy drive then you could create an own XP CD with the SATA driver. To create a new XP CD you need the freeware tool called nLite (google for details).
If you want to install Vista then you could include the SATA driver from the USB stick.
By the way; this forum provides more as enough details about Intel Matrix Storage Manger and nLite. Use the search option!!!

  • Satellite A200: Bluethooth Stack & Flashcard does not respond

My new A200 gives me a headache. After receiving the following message: Thank you for evaluating the Bluetooth Stack for Windowsby Toshiba. The evaluation period has expired. Please obtain a license for this version of Bluetooth Stack for Windows by Toshiba" I downloaded the Bluetooth stack Multilingual from Toshiba's homepage. It does not work, I receive still the same message and cannot use bluetooth anymore.
The second message I receive always is "that the Toshiba Flashcard does not respond" then Vista is looking for a solution but does not find anything.
The third problem is to include a second monitor. One time only it worked fine, but never again. I cannot control the second monitor via the Notebook, sometimes I cannot extend it, sometimes I can but the second monitor works in slow motion. I use a Targus docking station.
    thanks

    Hi
This message is meant for developers of third-party Bluetooth adapters, but may appear if you are using such an adapter with the Toshiba Bluetooth software 'stack' -- rather than with the adapter manufacturer's stack. The third-party Bluetooth adapter may work with the Toshiba Bluetooth stack, but only for a 30 day evaluation period.
If you are using an 3rd party Bluetooth adapter, obtain and install the correct Bluetooth stack from the manufacturer of the Bluetooth adapter.
If your notebook was already equipped with the BT card then you dont need to obtain the BT stack version from any other 3rd party manufacturers.
You should be able to download it from the Toshiba page, from your Satellite A200 download area.
I have also received some issues with the Vista Flash cards.
Seems there was a bug in old version. But dont worry; the new version was already released on the Toshiba page!
However, it looks like you have messed the whole OS because the switching to external monitor does not work too. So maybe you should recover the notebook with the Toshiba recovery CD and then update the Vista FlashCard utility.
    Good luck

  • Re: Error by installation of Windows 7 64bit on Satellite A200 1AS

    Hello,
I get an error by installing Win 7 on my Satellite A200 1AS:
    Status: 0xc000035a
Info: Attempting to load a 64-bit application, however this CPU is not compatible with 64-bit mode
But by searching on Toshiba Webpages for compatibility of Win7 on Satellite A200 I find always it should be possible to install Win 7 64bit if Serial No has a 7, 8 or 9 on second position. My Serial No. starts with 57...
Could somebody help me to find out the error reason.
    thanks
    Dieter

Well the notebook seems to support the Intel Pentium Dual-Core Processor T2080
Here are some details from Intel about this CPU:
    http://ark.intel.com/products/29740/Intel-Pentium-Processor-T2080-(1M-Cache-1_73-GHz-533-MHz-FSB)
The Instruction Set is 32bit and the CPU does not support Intel 64 Architecture
+Intel 64 architecture delivers 64-bit computing on server, workstation, desktop and mobile platforms when combined with supporting software. Intel 64 architecture improves performance by allowing systems to address more than 4 GB of both virtual and physical memory.+
So it could be possible that you will need to install Win 7 32bit instead of 64bit

  • Re: Satellite A200 - After Win7 installation SD card reader doesnt work

    Hello,
I have installed Windows 7 on my Satellite A200 and now cannot find my SD card reader.
Where can I find the driver for that?
I did not find it in the download section from Toshiba.
    Rob.

    Hi
The drivers for SD card reader is called Flash Media Driver.
The Flash Media Driver is for your Bridge Media Slot. This slot lets you insert either a SD card, Memory Stick (Pro) or xD picture card.
If such driver is not available for Win 7 then you should take the one released for Win Vista.
    Cheers

  • Satellite A200-1AX: very grainy videos after Win 7 installation

    Hello.
I have a toshiba Satellite A200-1ax and it use to have Vista when i got it.
I got rid of the OS and installed XP, thous installing the BIOS update for XP.
I've recently installed Win7 and everything is good. The only problem i have is with video files.
Every thing i watch is very grainy.
I've installed some codecs and the catalyst for Win7 beta and thing's got a bit better. Still pixelized though.
But HD video files don't work at all. It's the same as having a video card that doesn't support HD.
The audio races ahead of the video.
I haven't changed anything with the BIOS.
Could the problem be from there? Should i run the BIOS update for vista?

I use ti have Xp on the laptop and the same videos where great. Now they are grainy.
    HD doesn;t work properly.
That's the only problem with this OS...
Use to have vista, but i don;t want to go back to those memories :D
PS - i gave the copy of win7 to a friend, he installed it and the videos are OK with him.

  • Satellite A200 - Flashcards are not working

    Greetings
I have a Satellite A200-1M5 PSAE0E runing on Windows vista home premium 32-bit. I accedently removed the bluetooth driver then re-installed it again but it disappeared from the flashcards (Fn+F8 toggels the wifi only).
I tried to re-install the bluetooth driver (bluetoth stack and bluetoth monitor) but nothing worked. I was advised my Microsoft team to un-install the flashcards and VAP and re-Install them again and I did, but unfrtunately the flashcards disappered but in the same time the functions are working (Fn+F2 changes the power plane Fn+F6 dims the screen backlight ) but the flashcards does not apears. I've re-installed the flashcards utilities, bluetooth monitor, bluetooth stack , extended tiles for windows mobility center and even the value added package but nothing is working yet.
I was wondering what should I do now?
Is there any way to turn on/0ff the flashcards ?

    Hi faraferoo,
In which order you have reinstalled all tools and Bluetooth driver?
I have checked the Toshiba driver download page and for Satellite A200 I have founded the installation instructions document. This is a list for the recommended driver installation order.
So step by step: Now remove all Bluetooth stuff, Value Added Package and Flash Cards Support Utility. Restart the notebook and clean Windows using CCleaner. Restart the notebook again. As you can see in installation instructions document you should install the tools in this order:
    1)Bluetooth Stack
    2)Bluetooth Monitor
    3)Toshiba Value Added Package
    4)Toshiba Flash Cards Support Utility
Please try it again with this order and post your result. It should work after this.

  • Re: Satellite A200 unable to connect phone - No Bluetooth

Some years back I bought a Satellite A200 (PSAF6A-OWOOIN) running Vista, which my daughter has since upgraded to windows 7.
Previously the notebook had Bluetooth connectivity to my mobile phone (not that I ever used it),
however (now that I do need it) I can no longer connect, or even find any bluetooth software.
I have searched for a suitable download, but the only one I could find, would not run/start due to an incompatibility ????
I real need to be able to connect my phone to my computer, as we have video that we wish to forward to the police on disk.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi
First of all it would be really interesting to know if BT is enabled on this notebook.
Can you see a small BT icon in the taskbar?
What happens if you would use the key combination FN + F8?
This key combination toggles between the Wlan and BT and enables/disables the connectivity.
In case you cannot enable the BT or the icon does not appear in the taskbar, visit this Toshiba BT portal https://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/bluetooth/ and download and install the latest Toshiba BT stack for the Win 7
