Any ideas when this will be fixed?

  • BT Infinity Usage Monitor not updating.....hmmm???

This happens at the end of every month.  I'm starting to think it is an actual ploy from BT to stop users from knowing how much broadband usage they have left?  The usage monitor normally starts acting up around the 25th of every month....then you get an odd day where it works then it then it stops updating completely.  This leaves a BT user in a vunerable position.
A, Scared of using Internet - Not wanting a penalty charge by going over your limit!
B, Not allowing the BT user to use their full amount of data that they are paying for = saving BT money = ripping us off!!!
SORT IT OUT BT.......IT'S JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

A lot more in this thread regarding the usage monitor,

  • IPhone 6 Battery Usage setting not working.

When I go to my setting and check my Battery Usage setting it states: "Battery information will be available after using iPhone for a few minutes". I've been using it for hours and I get the same response when I go to the setting. I've turned off my phone multiple times to see if that would resolve it, but it hasn't. Is anyone else experiencing this behavior?

    Hello.
I have the same problem. iPhone 5, iOS8.0.2, used for a few days - still no usage statistics, only "Battery information will be available after using iPhone for a few minutes".
I tried restore iPhone (DFU) without restoring backup from iCloud/iTunes, resets, hard-resets, erase all settings, drain battery to 0% and charge to 100% overnight etc. - nothing helps.
I wrote to the Apple about this problem.
Here is the page that you can use to contact with Apple and report a bug - https://www.apple.com/feedback/iphone.html
Please, give the title of "iOS8 battery usage statistics not working" (or something like that), choose the "Bug report" and describe the problem. Perhaps it will make that Apple will eliminate this problem in the next version of iOS. More report - greater chance.

  • IPhone 6 Battery Usage function not working

Battery Usage feature continues to read; "Battery information will be available after using iPhone for a few minutes" even though I have now had the phone and used it for one week. Using iPhone 6, 64G, IOS 8.0.0.(no iOS updates have yet been applied)
A few days ago I attempted some suggestions posted by others. One of those was to let the battery drain to zero then fully charge. This had no affect on the Battery Usage feature. Another suggestion that i tried was to close all open apps on phone, then shut down phone and then turn back on. This did not resolve the Battery Usage issue either.
Is apple aware of this issue? Any help would be appreciated.

  • Activity Monitor not working correctly / not listing processes

When I open Activity Monitor, it does not display a list of processes. The CPU usage works in the bottom of the window as does the disk usage. None of the other graphs display any graphing/data.
I have rebooted, relaunched AM and I selected "all processes" but it still doesn't show processes.
I used the terminal command "top" and can see processes in the terminal window.
    thanks for any assistance,
    Harold
    imac 2.8 dual core/24"/2gb/os10.5.5

Thanks for the quick reply. I couldn't find the activity monitor preferences file you specified, in the Preferences directory. Here's what I've done: I rebooted from an older backup image on my external drive that I made using superduper. The activity monitor app worked from this disk image. I copied the AM app into my current drive, where it showed as a copy.
I rebooted, and attempted to use this copy. It wouldn't let me due to file permissions problems of some sort. I opened the current version of AM and now it works.
I'm not sure what fixed the problem, but Activity Monitory now seems to be working OK.
    thanks,

  • External Monitor Not Working With Macbook Pro

My computer was working fine with an external monitor, then my computer froze, and I had to hold down the power button. When I turned it back on, my computer would not work with an external monitor. I've tried different cables, so it's not the cable. The monitor is being detected by the computer, but nothing is showen on the external monitor. When connecting the monitor to the computer, the computer's screen goes blue, then turns back to normal. I
I cannot reset the SMC by removing the battery, I do not have the confidence to remove my battery, and do not have the time to send the computer to someone else to do it.
I also tried updating my OS from 10.7.4 (Might've been 10.7.3) to 10.7.5.
My computer is a MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid 2010), running OS X 10.7.5 Lion.
I need to get this problem fixed ASAP, any help is appreciated.
    Kind Regards,
    Sergee237

I forgot to mention, I'm connecting the monitor via MiniDisplay -> HDMI. I've also tried USB -> HDMI and USB -> DVI -> HDMI but none of them seem to work.

  • Server monitor not working (hardware monitor)

Just finnished installing my brand new maxed out Intel Xserves. And the Server monitor isn't working.
    This thread:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=643361
Didn't solve my problem. hwmond is running on the Xserves but each server line just says "Waiting for response". My /System/Library/ServerSetup/SetupExtras file doesn't even HAVE a Disabled key. It has Label, OnDemand, Program, ProgramArguments and ServiceIPC keys, but no Disabled. And the hwmonds is running anyway.
I have opened server monitor on the xserve itself and tried to open it to itself with no luck. I have configured Lights out management by choosing Server->Configure local Machine and added another IP there with different login, but I can't connect to either IP. Firewalls are all turned off.
Running /System/Library/ServerSetup/SetupExtras/hwmondSetup just says "already loaded"
Server Admin works, I can log in and edit services. Workgroup manager also works.
When i run the hwmond as root on the server, it says "Failed to communicate with the front panel" which could be due to hwmond already running, but I can't turn off the process since launchd (?) launches it again.
When I choose "Configure local Machine" the password I entered is always blank, but maybe that's by design.
Since these servers aren't installed yet I have them in my office and their IP's are temporary, so I read this:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106830
And it says that for this environment I should set the hostname to "localhost" in /etc/hostconfig. Done. Nothing changed.
I've googled this and searched here but found nothing. I'm running out of options... What should I do?

I set the server on a desk and do a fresh install off a DVD with the "erase HD" option. Then I install and configure the software I need (Software update, Sophos, power options, etc.) I did not configure LOM at that point, because I wasn't sure how to do it, and I needed to deploy the server. (luckily LOM was easy enough to set up after it was deployed.) Once the server is ready, I connect a FireWire HD to it, which has OS installed on it and boot from that.
That way my server is just an attached disk, and I use Disk Utility to create an image of it, which I then deploy on other servers.
I've had an issue with the G5 XServes where such a method required relatively simple modification before the server monitor would work:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=301046
But, I've not had to do that with the Intel XServes.

  • Server monitor not working

    Guys,
I have server monitor installed on a 10.5.8 client mini to monitor our 9 xserves and it works fine on all the older ones (all G4 or G5 xserves running tiger or panther) but will not detect any of the 4 new Intel Xeon xserves running 10.5 (mixture of .6 and .8). In each case it alternates between reporting "Software is not installed properly on server" and "CANNOTLOAD_BUNDLEERR".
I'm assuming this is something specific to 10.5 - some sort of SNMP setting or something perhaps? Obviously I've checked the passwords, I'm using root username/password for each one, all the servers are on and available, and like I say, it's working fine on the older ones.
Anybody had any experience with this and know the answer?
Further info: 3 of the servers (of which one is 10.5 and not working) are on the local network (local to the monitoring mini), the remaining 3 10.5's are each on other LAN's to which I have a currently working VPN. In each case the 10.5 machine which isn't working is on the same LAN as an older machine that is, so I know that's not the issue.

The Intel XServes seem to operate differently than the old G5 units when it comes to LOM. Mine has been giving me a bugger of a time getting Server Monitor to work properly, but right now it seems to be functioning..
Have you gone to Server Monitor on each of the Intel units and set up the "Configure Local Machine" from the Server menu? It should reject you if you enter the IP address of the Ethernet connection to your LAN - you have to use a different IP address. Configure only the information for 'Network 1' with the info for your LAN.
It may be purely anecdotal, but it seemed to start working for me after I enabled the firewall on the server, leaving all the ports on the LAN open and shutting everything down on the other address groups.

  • Why does Server Monitor not work with non-Xserves?

Does anyone know why Server Monitor does not work with non-Xserve computers? We acquired a Power Mac for a server, based on there being no apparent difference except for the obvious. Turns out there are some differences after all.
Do Power Macs lack some hardware components or is this just a software thing?

God question, unfortunitly I dont have the answer but I would also like to know why the software only works for X-Serve....Is there any 3rd Party Software that is similar to "Server Monitor"?
    Thanks

  • External monitor not working after ML upgrade

I have a late 2008 Unibody Macbook and normally use it in clamshell mode with a Samsung 2043NW monitor if I'm in the office. Previously working fine in 10.5.8 through mini display port adapter. Upgraded via fresh install of 10.6.8 to ML, and the monitor flickered on occasionally but otherwise would not work - when it did display it showed the same resolution as the macbook screen i.e. 1280 X 800 instead of 1680 X 1050.
There's a thread here related to this: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2387462?start=15&tstart=0  but this software was not the answer. I can now view the screen, but it is still being sent a resolution of 1280X800, rather than 1680X1050 (i.e. a fuzzy mess). It also will not work in clamshell mode at all, and just goes to sleep when the case is shut.
Anyone have a solution for this, or have I been 'obsolesced'? Does anyone have a unibody Macbook that DOES work with an external monitor?

OK, now here's an interesting thing - the macbook has begun to work in clamshell mode. This is REALLY weird. Tried again this morning in the hope of getting back the monitor control icon in the toolbar and it booted straight into clamshell mode with the lid shut.
When I first had this running 10.5 it would only work in clamshell mode if you pressed the power button and immediately closed the lid before the screen lit up grey. More recently it has been perfectly happy to enter clamshell mode after a period of use normally, just plugging in the monitor and shutting the lid. It would be nice if this behaviour were to start again soon.

  • External Monitor Not Working after 10.9.3

I have two Macs which are not working with an external monitor anymore through the thunerbolt port. I have tried different types of connections (HDMI and DVI) and two different external monitors in an attempt to determine the issue. The only common denominator to the issue is the update to 10.9.3 OS X. I have also reset PRAM and changed between mirroring and non mirroring to no avail.
    Mac #1:
    MacBook Pro8,1
    Intel Core i5
    2.4ghz
    Intel HD Graphics 3000 512MG
    External Monitor: Resolution 1920X1080 @60hz
    32 Bit Color (ARGB8888)
    Main Display: Yes
    Mirror: Off
    Online: Yes
    Rotatino: Supported
    Mac#2:
    MacBookAir6,2
    Intel Core i5
    1.3ghz
    Intel HD Graphics 5000
External Monitor: No information as it's not connected at this time.

Well low and behold I tried clearing PRAM again and I reset my monitor to factory defaults. Reconnected my monitor and the thing works now. Very strange but I'm Happy that it's working again. *WHEW*

  • Monitor not working

Monitor stopped working on my Pavilion G series just after 3 yrs.  I plugged another standalone monitor into the video port and it worked fine. Initially I could also see a faint outline of the desktop on the monitor, so assume it was the monitor that burned out.  I replaced the monitor and still cannot get a picture.  Any suggestions?
Already bought another laptop but wanted this for the kids, although I dont want to keep dumping money into to this piece by piece.

    Witch model is ?
If your monitor is using inverter it has some chances the problem to be at the inverter.
If you monitor is not using inverter and is using new monitors LCD with Led panel or is led monitor then your connector at your motherboard is static burn.  You need to replace the motherboard.

  • Unityconnection Port Staus Monitor Not Working

    Hi ,
Port status monitor is not working. unityconnection version 7.1.5.
We enabled the port status monitor & given the PC IPaddress.
Enable Remote Port Status Monitor Output
IP Addresses Allowed To Connect For Port Status Monitor Output (comma-separated)

I'm assuming you have an IP addressed filled in and it's just not on your screen shot...
    What version of rPSM?
rPSM uses port 5000 to communicate with Connection (this is noted in the help but I should probably put some static text to this effect on the login form for clarity).  Make sure it's not being blocked between your client and the Connection server.
Beyond that there's not much that can go wrong - it's simply getting text streaming off that port once your client has been registered (Connection wont talk to any client that doesn't have an IP that matches in the list there).
No DB or other connections are needed or are in use.

  • Final Cut Pro 2nd monitor not working properly?

Been here before a long time ago, can't remember how it was resolved.
Working in a new edit suite, FCP Studio.  Two new Samsung monitors (not my choice).  I want one to be my playback monitor.
    I set:
Final Cut Pro > Audio/Video Settings
    > Digital Cinema Desktop Full Screen
    > View > External Video > All Frames
But all I'm getting is a black frame on the 2nd monitor.
They've also got one of those very flat alluminum keyboards ... where F12 becomes a sound control.  I'd love to know how I can change the function key to work as an FCP action / 2nd monitor toggling on and off.
That's two questions.  Would be most appreciative of an answer for either.
    Ben

    Hey Andy,
I did the first half of your suggestion, but not the second half.  Heading down to the studio this morning ... set up in a tiny white chapel looking out across the silvery North Atlantic ... and will try the second half of your suggestion.  Will also see if there are two graphics cards installed in the Mac Pro.  Will also check out the Window > Arrange in FCP (something I should have checked first off).
I talked to a filmmaker who previously worked on the system, only to discover he never uses the second monitor as a full screen, but rather as a large 'bin'.  Interesting.
If worse comes to worse and I can't solve it I suspect I could size the canvas window to super large and drag it over to the second monitor.
Will post back when I've tried the latest suggestions ...
    Thanks you mucho guys,
    Ben

  • 3 DVI monitor not working after upgrade

I have three monitors connected to my new Mac pro via Active Minidisplay port to DVI adapters. They are all Dell 24" (1 2407,and 2 2405) they worked fine on 10.9.2 but after the upgrade to 10.9.3 only two monitors will work now. Verfiied that I was following Apple's document on connecting the three monitors.  If I Disconnect one of the two working monitor the previous blank one would automatically go active.

This issue is caused by a bug in OS X 10.9.3. The following steps have been reported to resolve it in some cases (not all.) If none of them works for you, the only other option is to revert to 10.9.2, which can be done by restoring a pre-update backup. You may prefer to wait for Apple to release another update, but I don't know when that will happen.
    1. Reset the System Management Controller.
    2. Reset the PRAM.
    3. Install the Combo updater.
