BT Verve 450 - setting up 2nd base set

I am trying to setup a 2nd base set - I've tried the manual p63 to p66 - it talks about selecting a base set so you can register an extra handset but cannot find instructions to set up 2nd base set in first place.
When 2nd base set is set up, what happens with incoming calls - how do you transfer to handset registered to other base set?
Also I believe you can have hand sets registered to 2 base sets - how does this work?
Please help.

I just did a google search and it refers back to BT forums, including my post of December 2012
"using bt verve 450 phones with multiple base sets
 on ‎13-12-2012 0h09
We wish to have more than 5 handsets & understand that can have multiple base sets from 450 download booklet but no instructions/info how the expanded system will work -
how should multiple base sets be setup? I presume each base set would have to be connected separately to incoming line?
Would one act like an "exchange" for incoming calls? If so how would you redirect them to a hand set only registered to another base set? (BT booklet states cannot transfer calls between handsets registered to different base sets!??)
If passed a call to a dual registered handset could call then be forwarded to another handset only registered to that 2nd base set? So - what function would 2nd base set have?
Would out going calls be affected if from handset only registered to 2nd base set?
Will all phones on all base sets ring when external call rec'd?
Please note this is a purely domestic setup - just wish to stop having to run about the house etc when calls rec'd for members of the family.
Please help, thanks, gxsangha"
Does anybody use BTVerve 450s in an office situation where you may have had this requirement - I cannot be only person to want to use multiple base sets & dual registered handsets???

  • BT Verve 450 - Loses year setting on power-off

    Ah,  now found out how to start a topic!
    Verve 450 quad set.   Every time we have a power cut, the date partially resets.  Time OK, Month OK, but year resets to 2007.   I find out when the answering machine says message received eg: Saturday instead of of Friday.  Correct the year, stores OK, then resets to 2007 on the next power cut.   Is there a firmware fix?

    Hi Clive,
    Many (many) years ago, part of my job entailed dealing with BT Shop queries and (if I remember correctly) when it came to replacing faulty equipment and working out if the product was still in warrantee we usually went by the date the issue was reported to us.
    In this case, as the warrantee date has passed chances we wouldn’t have been able to offer a free replacement as it’s out of warrantee (even if the issue occurred before it expired).
    Things might have changed since then though and it’s still worth contacting them about it, but I can’t make any promises I’m afraid.
    Let us know how it goes.

  • BT verve 450 base settings help

    Hope some on can help??
    Recently bought  the Verve 450 every thing works fine accept the base unit/answer machine. I have caller display so everything works from the point of view. What I cant seem to do is change the time and date on the answering machine, but the hand set is showing the correct time
    I have tried re registering the phone etc but nothing seems to work.
    Pleas help......

    Hi Chockie,
    the answer machine should be set automatically if you have the caller display (as your handsets are showing corrcet time it is likely the phone has a problem, or has got out of synch with the handset).
    Try setting the time manually -
    press menu and scroll 'Redial' to 'settings' and press OK.
    Scroll 'calls' top 'clock/time/alarm' then ptress ok,
    date/time is highlighted, press ok.
    the default time is in 24hr clock, to change scrol with the 'phonebook' or 'sms' button to choose 12 hour clock.
    similar thing for the date formatt either  day/month or month/day using the 'phonebook' or 'sms' button.
    use 'calls' to scroll to to 'enter time' and input the time, same again for the date. then press ok to save (on page 10 of the user manual).
    If this doesnt work, try disconnecting the unit from the power and line for 10-15 minutes to reset.
    If this last tatic doesnt solve the problem, then the phone is faulty and if under warranty take it back to wherever you bought it from.
    Hope that helps.

  • Basis Setting for Process chains

    Hi
    Can you please let me know what is the basis setting that needs to be done..
    Not to Prompt while creating an process chains in Quality and Production system.
    Thanks
    Kiran

    Kirun,
    In QA  & Production system client setting should always be closed(No changed allowed)
    SCC4>Clinet setting>No Changes allowed
    SE06>System Change option>Not Modifiable
    You should create a process chain in DEV system  & then transport it in QA & Prod.
    Hope it helps.
    Thanks

  • What is BC SET in SAP BASIS related to SAP Security.....................

    Hi All,
    Please explain me what is BC SET in SAP Basis which is related to SAP Security.
    Can anyone explain in detail...
    Thanks Much.
    Swapna.D

    Hi
    Prerequisites
    You want to create a BC Set from a transport request. A transport request containing Customizing data must already exist.
    This Customizing request is a change request with which you can copy and transport the changed system settings.
    The BC Set is based on the data in the Customizing request. You can copy all the data records in the Customizing request into the BC Set, or select a subset.
    You can subsequently edit BC Sets created from transport requests.
    Procedure
    Enter the Customizing request number and Continue.
    You can search for requests with the F4 help. The request type is Workbench/Customizing requests. The request status is changeable or released.
    You get an overview of the transport objects in the transport request. To put a transport object in the BC Set, flag the row Copy.
    The Status column tells you the BC Set-compatibility of the transport object. It can have the following values:
    ·        green traffic light: The transport object can be put in the BC Set.
    ·        yellow traffic light: BC Set creation or activation problems are possible. Check whether all data records have been put in the BC Set, after you create it.
    ·        red traffic light: Table entries exist, but they cannot be interpreted. They cannot be put in the BC Set.
    ·        Cancel: The transport object cannot be interpreted or put in the BC Set.

  • Set button state base on the state of items in list

    Hi everyone,
    I'm making an application that helps user to manages their file.
    In my application, I have a list of files and a button Delete all.
    I want the Delete all button to be disabled when all files in my list are hidden.
    Can anyone help me please ?
    Thank you :)

    >>I want the Delete all button to be disabled when all files in my list are hidden.
    Add a Hidden property to the class that represents a File in your application:
    public class File : ViewModelBase
    private bool _hidden;
    public bool Hidden
    get { return _hidden; }
    set { _hidden = value; base.RaisePropertyChanged("Hidden"); }
    ...and bind the Command property of the Button to a RelayCommand (DeleteCommand) and make its CanExecute method return true only when there are at least one File object with the Hidden property set to false:
    public class ViewModel
    public ObservableCollection<File> Files { get; set; }
    public RelayCommand DeleteCommand
    get { return new RelayCommand(OnDelete, CanDelete); }
    private bool CanDelete()
    return Files.Any(f => !f.Hidden);
    private void OnDelete()
    //delete....
    >>I wonder if the button state can be changed when an item state changes or not :)
    Call the RaiseCanExecuteChanged() method of the DeleteCommand whenever the Hidden property of any File object in the Files collection is set to a new value.
    You could do this by hooking up an event handler for the PropertyChanged event of each File object in the view model class like this:
    public class ViewModel
    public ViewModel()
    this.Files = new ObservableCollection<File>();
    //load files....
    foreach (File file in this.Files)
    (file as INotifyPropertyChanged).PropertyChanged
    += new PropertyChangedEventHandler(item_PropertyChanged);
    this.Files.CollectionChanged += Files_CollectionChanged;
    private void item_PropertyChanged(object sender, PropertyChangedEventArgs e)
    if(e.PropertyName == "Hidden")
    DeleteCommand.RaiseCanExecuteChanged();
    private void Files_CollectionChanged(object sender, NotifyCollectionChangedEventArgs e)
    if (e.NewItems != null)
    foreach (object file in e.NewItems)
    (file as INotifyPropertyChanged).PropertyChanged
    += new PropertyChangedEventHandler(item_PropertyChanged);
    if (e.OldItems != null)
    foreach (object file in e.OldItems)
    (file as INotifyPropertyChanged).PropertyChanged
    -= new PropertyChangedEventHandler(item_PropertyChanged);
    public ObservableCollection<File> Files { get; set; }
    public RelayCommand DeleteCommand
    get { return new RelayCommand(OnDelete, CanDelete); }
    private bool CanDelete()
    return Files.Any(f => !f.Hidden);
    private void OnDelete()
    //delete....
    Note that this requires the File class to implement the INotifyPropertyChanged.
    Hope that helps.

  • Can't set up Airport base stations with new MacBook Pro

    i have a brand new, late-2013 15" MacBook Pro running Mavericks. my attempts, using this machine, to set up my sixth-generation, 802.11ac Airport Extreme and my brand-new, whatever-generation 802.11n Airport Express purchased yesterday at an Apple Store (that means it's the current generation, with the power cord) - these attempts all fail with Airport Utility saying it's joining the base station for about a minute and a half, after which it stops trying and says, "An unexpected error occurred. Please try again."
    i can set up both of those base stations effortlessly with my iPhone.
    furthermore, i seem to be able to use this MacBook Pro to set up my fifth-generation, 802.11n Airport Extreme just fine - even when it's all the way across the house and my attempts to set up the sixth-generation one, which is a foot away from my MBP, are failing.
    why can i set these devices up with my iPhone and not with the newest, best, fastest, fanciest, most powerful laptop Apple makes?
    thank you.

    mmm...okay. thank you, Bob.
    for now, i've got the base stations configured via my iPhone, and once configured, my MBP can see and use them just fine. it just irks the **** out of me that my brand-new top-of-the-line MacBook Pro can't handle this simple task, and should have to use a wired connection to set up my base stations (how archaic!). it may be the only device i have with me one day when i want to set up an Airport base station (okay, that's unlikely, but it's the principle of the thing, dammit).
    are we sure this is a matter of bugs in Mavericks, and not a hardware problem with my MBP or something?
    many thanks.

  • Connecting Non-BT handset to BT Verve 450 base uni...

    I have an elderly relative coming to stay and he has a "Doro PhoneEasy 100w" to help with his poor hearing and failing eyesight.
    He has asked if I could connect his second handset to my BT Verve 450 base unit to help with any phone calls he receives or makes.
    I've looked in my user guide but can't see any instructions on increasing the number of handsets that can be registered to the base unit.
    He assures me his handset is "GAP" compatible.
    Any help and guidance would be very much appreciated.
    Ruth.

    Just did a quick google search and yes his handset is a GAP compliant handset but I am not sure how to get toe Doro handset into registration mode. it should be in the menu somewhere.
    Once the handset is in registration mode, press the "find" button on the BT verve basestation until it beeps and it should register the phone to the base station.
    I think the process is the same for the BT verve handsets to the BT graphite ones I have reigstered a GAP handset to my graphite 2100 basestation

  • HELP! How do I configure an airport extreme card , so I can set up AEX base

    Hi
    I have had an iBook for a few years now with an Airport Extreme Card installed but not configured. Have just bought s/h Airport Extreme base station (cone shape) to go wireless, but am having MAJOR probs configuring the AEC to start with so I can set up the base station!
    It is asking me for a Client ID, to set Airport to DHCP?? this means nothing to me...
    How do I configure the card initially??
    Can anyone help, PLEEEASE??????

    purplemouse, Welcome to the discussion area!
    There is absolutely nothing you need to do to configure the AirPort Extreme card. After you install the card and boot the iBook, the OS recognizes the card.
    It is asking me for a Client ID...
    What is asking you for a client ID? This is not a normal prompt. What application are you running?

  • BT Verve 450 twin won't ring out ! HELP PLEASE

    we have just been on holiday for a week, phone was working fine when we left however on our return the phones will not ring out when a caller ring us ! all that happens is the screen flashes up and says silence on the bottom of screen then goes back to standby screen, the caller thinks its ringing out when it isn't. can anyone tell me how to solve this issue ?
    i have re set handsets and base to default and tried everything i can think of , its driving us nuts !!

    If you search the community for Verve 450, you will find many problems and solutions.
    A display of "silent" would suggest volume turned down to low, or ringer muted.
    I assume that you have powered the base station down for a while, then powered it up again. This will reset any locked up hardware.

    I was unable to set my outgoing message. The handset would show empty battery and then switch off for about 10 seconds! This occurred on all handsets, with full, new battery and even if plugged into a charger!

  • Verve 450 Answer Machine Stuck on Answer Only.

    Hello,
    The problem I have is that even though the answer machine has been set to Answer and Record, when you ring you only get  "Hello, your call cannot be taken at the moment and you cannot leave a message, so please call later", and you can't leave a message.
    It used to work fine, but has just started to happen.
    The phone has been switched on and off, the answering settings switched on an off....any ideas anyone?
    Thanks

    Hi Lisab,
    If you answer mcahine message capacity is full then any answer machine will revert to the Announce only mode. You need to delete some messages from the Verve 450.

  • BT Verve 450 keeps cutting out

    Hi
    I have a BT verve 450 duo and whenever I pick up the phone from the base unit when someone is calling the phone goes dead. However, if the same phone or the second phone is on the other charger phone there is no problem. I am sure there is a problem with the base unit. Any ideas?
    Kind regards

    Its odd that both handsets reset, but it could be a bad batch of batteries.
    I assume that when you received the phones, the plastic tap that isolates the battery supply was still in place?
    Did you remove the tab on both handsets?
    Have you checked that the batteries are makeing contact inside? Take them out and then put them back in again.
