BT Vision - Download Query

Hi forum-I have a DVD/VCR player and have about 80 recordings on BT Vision. Can anyone advise me whether it is possible to download(transfer) the BT Vision contents to my DVD/VCR player? Not a techy so sorry if this is a stupid question! Thanks.

Yup. Plug the auxiliary SCART on the Vbox into a SCART input on your DVD/VCR and set it to record from that input.
If you are using an HDMI lead between the Vbox and TV make sure and change the aspect ratio on the Vbox to 16:9 rather than the HD ratios while you're doing the recording or you will find the recording will be distorted.
BT Vision -> Settings -> TV Settings -> Screen Aspect Ratio
I have also found that if you're using HDMI and switch the TV off while doing a recording (e.g. overnight or when you're out) there can also be an issue, so best to unplug the HDMI in those cases, so best to unplug the HDMI from one end completely.
It is good practice to back up your recordings as a disk failure, software failure or update could wipe them out.

This sounds like you are not using an anonymous user or alias users ..??
When you download into Excel, the cookie for the MIME handler is not held. This means that the system needs to verify the userid/password again. Check out the SAP Notes 516884 and 487456 - there are some other SAP Notes referenced in these that may also be helpful if you still have a problem.

WebGui: Download Query-output to excel

Hi everyone,
We are using ITS 6.20 patch-level 10 (level 16 will follow this week) in combination with R/3 4.70 Ext. 1.0 and we experience some system behavior that is not really user-friendly.
When calling a query (tx sq01) within WEBGui you've got the possibility to get the output as an ALV-List. Within the list you've got a button to download it to a local file as a spreadsheet. But when doing so the user has to confirm several screens for 'technical reasons'.
Does anyone know a way (or a workaround) to avoid this 'technical screens'?
Moreover the downloaded file should be a real XLS-File but it is a tab-separated text-file. Does anyone know how to get the same XLS-ready file within WEBGUI as you can get it in SAPGUI?

I'm trying to download a query however in this version is not longer possible, I'm ussing the report RSAQR3TR in versión 6.0.
Is there any way to download it???

The option is only available in the standard area (client specific)

for downloading and uploading abap query follow stepps given below
DOWNLOAD ABAP QUERY
1. Go to SQ02 .
Select Environment -> Query Areas..
Select Standard Area (Client specific)
(If Query does not exist in Standard Area then You will have to copy that Query From Global Area to Standard Area.)
For Coping Query From Global To standard first select that query from list.
2)Now select Environment-> Transports
3)In next screen select Copy Global to standard radio button.
Check Overwriting allowed (only with import/upload/copy)
Remove Check for Test Run
Select Transport InfoSets and queries radio button
Fill Infoset and Query with corresponding names.
4)Now Press Execute button.Copy Log will be displayed.
Now Query exist in Global & Standard Area.
5) Go to SQ02 .
Select Environment -> Query Areas..
Select Standard Area (Client specific)
Select Infoset from list.
6) Select Environment -> Transports
7)Select Download radio button
Check Overwriting allowed (only with import/upload/copy)
Remove Check for Test Run
Select Transport InfoSets and queries radio button
Fill Infoset and Query with corresponding names.
8) Click on Execute button
Now It will ask you to save file.save it.
Now Open another system where you want to make copy of that infoset.
UPLOAD ABAP QUERY
1. Go to SQ02 .
Select Environment -> Query Areas
Select Standard Area (Client specific)
2. Select Environment -> Transports
3)Select Upload radio button
Check Overwriting allowed (only with import/upload/copy)
Remove Check for Test Run
Select Transport InfoSets and queries radio button
Fill Infoset and Query with corresponding names.
4) Click on Execute button.
It will ask you for the place for uploading file.
Select that place (from where you downloaded file).
Now infoset & query is uploaded.Log will be displayed.
5)Go to SQ02
Select Environment -> Query Areas
Select Standard Area (Client specific)
SQ02 -> Infoset -> Generate.
Enter Yes.
6)Go to SQ01
Select Environment -> Query Areas
Select Standard Area (Client specific)
Enter your Query Name.
7)Click on Execute button

Download Query execution to a File - APD

Hi,
I would like to download to a file the execution of a Query. I thought in APD, but I am facing an issue.
The layout of the query is the following (and as I expect to be in the flat file):

Hi Fredrico ,
APD will not be very helpful in your case as it cannot change query output format .However if you want it in mentioned format you can use function module RRW3_GET_QUERY_VIEW_DATA which will provide you t_cell_data (columns ) and t_axis_data (rows) that can be further changed into your desired format and can be written into a flat file .
For this you need to write a Report program in se38 and need to execute this function module .Later on you can convert your output as per your requirement and can write it to text file (either in your desktop or application server ).
This will be very efficient if your query have structures etc and also efficient in terms of memory .
If your requirement is for passing query output to non SAP system then it is very helpful.
Let me know If you want to go for this .I can help in writing program .

I have create a page that will query a database and then

Downloading query results in background

Hi -- I have a simple query that I would like to run on a daily basis to download information for a 3rd party system. Two questions:]
(1) I would like the output file to automatically overwrite the previous day's file. When I run the query in dialog mode, I am notified that the file already exists and provided with the option to overwrite it. But when I run the query in background mode, it doesn't overwrite the file. Does anyone know how I can force it to overwrite? I should note that I am using the 'File store' option under Output format.
(2) Every line in my output file has an extraneous '0' at the end of the line. In fact, it's like a whole extra output column, always populated with '0'. Does anyone know how I can get rid of this? It's happening if I specify the file as a .xls or as a .txt file.

Hi,
You cannot download files to a pc in the background. There are many posts concerning this topic. Use the Search button for more information on this.
Without seeing your table structure it's a bit hit and miss, but I would say you may have an extra column in your table.
You should use the 'private file' option with enhancement SQUE0001 to dynamically store query results to files in the background.

Vision downloads

I'm not very technical and am just wanting to clarify that when using the YouView box but going onto Vision Unlimited that the free programmes you select do not count towards your downloads. My little lad is constantly selecting the kids programmes and it's suddenly dawned on me that there may be hidden costs!! Maybe I'm just too cynical! Thanks for your help.

The usage of any on-demand feature via the youview box (including itv-player, bbc iplayer, milkshake, NowTV which are not via the BT Vision Player) does not count towards your download usage.

Mail downloading query

I don't own an iphone (yet!) but am wondering if anyone can explain how mail downloads on the phone. From what I read, i gather it downloads part of a message and then only downloads the rest if you open the message. The reason I ask is that i want to know what data plan to go for. If, for example, I have a mobileme account and receive 1GB of email per month including attachments, etc. do i need to allow for 1GB of data coming down in mail alone, or can i somehow stop large files downloading in their entirety to limit the amount of data i need to allow for. Thanks!

Email attachment download query

My apologies if this question has been answered before.
I've been running a few tests on my iPhone 3GS. I have 5 email accounts set up on it. 3 of those accounts are pop, 1 is an imap account (gmail) and 1 an exchange account.
The pop accounts will completely download attachments (even if MBs in size) where as the Exchange Server and Gmail accounts will only download the email text and allow me to choose whether I download the attachment or not if the attachment is too large (usually > 100kb).
My question is, how can I get the Exchange Server/Gmail behaviour to occur on the pop accounts? I do not want attachments of over a few hundred KB downloading automatically on the pop accounts!

Are you certain your PC is not infected with a virus or some malaware? Have you run these programs to clean your system? You may also want to clean out your temp files, cookies, history, etc. See if that helps. Also which browser are you using when these issues occur?

Upload and Download Query From one System to another ?

I am working in an Upgradation Project ( From 4.6C to ECC 6 ).
It seems Queries cannot be coppied from 4.6 C to ECC 6 .
Can anybody tell me how to Download the Queries from 4.6C and Upload to ECC 6 with detail steps.

Hi,
1. Executed the program RSAQR3TR with ' Export ' option for user group,Queries & info sets .It will store all the entries as Data cluster into one TR ( source system ).
2. Now move this TR to new System
3. And again execute the program RSAQR3TR with Import option by providing the TR (source System ).
now it will store all the objects into new TR . ( target system ).
you need to re-run the program with option ' Copy Standard Area -> Global Area' after import.
Please check the results with 'test ' option before moving the queries.
Even , you can try with Download/Upload options with RSAQR3TR.
