BT Wholesale unable to supply BB anymore on my lin...

I have had my BB with BT for the past 18mths.  It has never been a very good BB speed wise, butr when it has been at it's best it's been just about acceptable.  But on the 28th of this month had to have a Line engineer and a broadband enginer out to my property.  The line engineer was sent out by BT Wholesale to test the line.  He arrived at 9:15 and did his tests, said to me "the pair that I am on was the best that there are in the village and that he can't see why I am not getting a stable 2.5Mb sync" he left at 10:00.  Well I did do a speedtest before he arrived and the sync speed was 2648Kbps with a Noise Margin of 6.8dB and a Line Attenuation of 57.0dB (which is what it has always been) and a IPProfile of 2000Kbps.  At 10:38 I did another speedtest and found that the sync speed had dropped to 2464Kbps, the Noise Margin had increased to 10.5dB and the L/A was the same and the IPProfile had dropped to 1750Kbps.  When BT support rang me up I told them this and they arranged for a broadband engineer to come to y property that afternoon, so that a lift and shift could be done.  At 12:45 I get a phone call from the engineer and said he would be with me very soon, but he did not know what he was ment to be doing as all he had on his job sheet was a slow broadband issue.  Well I told him what I had been told.  When he did get to me, he said that he was unable to do a lift and shift as that required a different type of broadband engineer.  He just spent thirty minutes doing test and basically told me the same as the first engineer that I should be syncing at around 2.5Mb.  After he left I did another speedtest and found the following results, sync speed of 2464Kbps, Noise Margin 10.5dB and the IPProfile had dropped to 1500Kbps.  On the following day in the morning I did a speedtest and the results were, sync speed 1472Kbps, N/M 15.6dB, L/A 57.0dB and IPProfile 1250Kbps. I have been in touch with a number of people at BT support to try to get this sorted, being told that it will take twenty four hours before I would see any inprovements, so I waited and after tweny five hours no inprovment, so I ring them back up and get told after they have cheked with BT Wholesale that it would be another seven hours and sixteen minutes then I would see that my IPProfile would be up to 1750Kbps.  Eight hours later no change, so again I ring, the time now being 22:06 and I get told that they could not do anything as the department that is dealling with the problem is closed and that he would arrange for a member of the engineering team to give a call back in the morning between 08:00 & 08:30.  Now I don't know if BT staff are aware of the fact that, here in England people do have to go to work and if your self-employed then the lose is greater. 08:35 and no call back, so I ring up and basically got no where and said that I wanted someone to give me a call back after 15:00 that day, it was agreed that they would call me after 15:00, but oh no, driving down the road and mobile rings it's BT, iI told them to call me at 15:00.  Just after 15:00, get phone call and I get told that it has no been decided that BT Wholesale can no longer provide a broadband service down my line as it is not suitable and that BT will be stopping the service soon.  Now the big question is what happened on Monday of this week that suddenly made my line unsuitable for a broadband service and the biggest laugh is, BT Wholesale said that I should go to another ISP, if the line isn't suitable for a broadband service what would be the point of going with another ISP.

Yes I am connected to the master socket, it is the only one in the property.  I have ttried the quite test and checked out ok.
