BT Yahoo account suspended
Hope someone can help. I was accessing my emails this morning, but a few hours later and my password did not work. I tried to reset my passwork and it said that my account had been suspended. Why? How do I get my emails?

Welcome to the forums.
It's not spam, it's a crazy system behaviour - which is also copying to email addresses that have nothing to do with BT.
I have many email addresses from old legacy days, so it's obvious that something is wrong.
When BTSport started, I initially got their weekly updates on one email address, then it was randomly sent to any of the sub accounts on my main account. They have since stopped, probably due to the amount of complaints - and this is on mail accounts not transferred to BTMail.
Frankly the sofware coders are getting things badly wrong - it's a pure software issue, not a "server" issue.
These emails can cause many people to be scared in that the implication that someone has altered the password. This should be investigated ASAP, and a statement exactly why it happened.
I am still waiting for the replies why other faults have happened, it's not good enough that people are not told the reason.

Cannot send email from yahoo account on iPhone 5
I just got an iPhone5 and I couldn't set up my Yahoo email as "yahoo"--it would not allow me to complete the process despot multiple attempts. I had to set it up as an "other" account. I can receive and read emails on my phone, but when I reply those messages will not send. They go to the outbox and an error message pops up that says" the email account has been rejected by the server" Does anyone have advice on either issue: setting up yahoo properly and/or sending email from phone?

I can't send email from my Yahoo account using my Iphone 4S
My Yahoo account was hacked yesterday so I reset the password and removed the cell phone number from my account (I have been getting weird text messages lately and thought it might be linked). I am able to receive emails but not send them. It gives me a message that "A copy has been placed in your Outbox. Sending the message content to the server failed." I added my cell phone number to the account this morning. I removed the Yahoo account from my phone, added it back and restarted the phone. It is still not working. I checked the SMTP setting and it is correct. Any suggestions?
Hi. Did you change the password on your Yahoo mail on your PC ? This is the correct way to do it. Changing the password on your phone isn't good enough.
Use your PC to access your mail account then go to your "account details" to change the password. Once you have done this successfully go to your phone and delete and re-add your mail details.
I guess you are using BT Yahoo. Got caught with that one a week ago.

I have tried everything and get this same error message on my iPhone and iPad. Yahoo account works fine on pc. I can receive emails and use Internet on apple devices but cannot send mail. Thanks.

I just got my iPhone from Movistar Venezuela and I've found I'm unable to send email using my Yahoo account. However, I can receive Yahoo email just fine (paid $20 for Mail Plus subscription), my GMail account can send and receive perfectly, and I can go surfin' Safari with no problems too.
The error message I get is "Cannot send mail: an error occurred while delivering this message". I called Movistar Customer Support and they said everything was fine on their end...
In typical Apple fashion, the error message is so simple I have no idea where the problem is. Does anyone know how can I get more information and how to solve this annoying problem? My Yahoo account is actually my primary account...

Acabo de comprarme un iPhone de Movistar en Venezuela y me encuentro sin poder enviar emails con mi cuenta Yahoo. 5) Ve a la cuenta problematica

I think I solved the issue, temporarily at least
1) Delete account
2) Create again
3) Go to settings
4) Go to Mail, Contacts, Calendars
5) Open problematic account
6) Go to SMTP
7) Add a new server
8)
Name: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
User name: do not leave blank
Password: do not leave blank
SSL: Yes
Autentication: Password
Port: 25

Go to mail preferences>accounts, make sure your outgoing server (SMTP) is set to the right network, not none.

How do I send an email from my Iphone to a "group" that I have established in my Yahoo account?
So I have bought a couple of apps on my iphone and would like to transfer them to my itunes library, but not sure how.

When I plug in my iphone and try and sync the two, I get a warning from itunes that everything on my iphone will be wiped and everything from my itunes library will be moved to it.

I just got safari and love it but am having 1 problem. I have 2 yahoo accounts one personal and one through small business. For some reason I can get into the personal one but not the small business. On other browsers I can get in to both fine but not on safari.

Since a few days I am no longer able to attach certain files (ppt, pdf, jpeg) in my emails on my yahoo-account. I click the attach button, go to my file and select it - and then the signal keeps running and running, and the file doesn't attach. Sometines I get an error message, but not always. The files are not very big ones (3 or 4 MB) - well below the 25 MB that is the maximum. Some files do attach - I cannot figure out why the others don't.
When I use my husband's PC, I can attach the "problematic" files without any trouble. When I work with gmail on my Mac, again no problem.
I tried the help desk of yahoo, but they could not solve my problem up til now. Is this a Mac problem, or a yahoo-problem ? I don't know where to look for a solution, but at this point I am pretty desparate because I cannot work without both !
Has anyone a suggestion what I can do about this ?

I have intermittent problems attaching files in Yahoo mail and this is usually the reason. I'm also using an iMac (10.7.3) and this is likely the problem.
It is generally a Yahoo issue rather than a Mac problem. -
I am having trouble setting up an additional yahoo account on my 4s. I have one setup already and it works fine. When I start setting up the account I put in the information and touch next it doesn't verify the account. It gives me a pop up window that says verification sent to yahoo mail.
Contact Microsoft. They provide support for their products. Or look at the Office for iPad support website.

This started happening at first later into my yahoo account. Now it happens immediately when I go to my inbox. I thought it might be an overload of files in yahoo but I notice it does not happen in safari. I am using macbook 10.6.7
There is a very long thread here in the forum on this problem.
One possible cause is your proxy settings. If you check this deeply buried dialog, you may be able to correct it:
orange Firefox button ''or'' classic Tools menu > Options > Advanced > Network
Click the "Settings" button and choose either "No Proxy" or "Use System Settings" option, and OK the change. See whether that helps.

I have Exchange and Yahoo accounts on my iPhone 4. At least 1 email I send from out thru my Exchange account fails to send and it simply refuses to leave the outbox. The only guaranteed way of sending it is to change the sender to my yahoo account. Note that is ONLY occurs on replies to existing emails, never new emails.
It is only certain mails that fail. Even if I delete the mail and write another reply it will still fail.
Could it be content related? It happened on IOS4 & 5.
I've asked one of the staff in the Apple shop and he said he's seen this before but doesnt know the answer - not really helpful if you're trying to work off your iPhone :-(Thanks razmee209.
I would agree with you if I still couldnt send the reply by changing the sender to my yahoo account; but as I mentioned before - whenever the mail fails to send, I can ALWAYS send it by changing the sender to my yahoo account.
I agree that it must be something within the original mail, but why does it trigger a failure if I reply from my exchange account and not my yahoo yahoo account.
I can delete the Exchange account and re-add it, but it makes no difference. I've also rebooted the phone but again, no difference. -
