  • Have set Yahoo Mail as my mailto yet when I try to "send a link" I get a Yahoo sign in page and am then taken to my inbox. How can I get an email box to send the link?

I can't get Firefox to send either photos out of Picasa or "send a
link" using my Yahoo!Mail option. Have set Yahoo as my default
and have set Yahoo as my mailto using tools/apps. When I
use "send a link" I am sent to my Yahoo sign in page and it takes
me to my inbox. How can I get a blank email form to come up?

Typing in additional text seems to get the job done.  This seems to be a feature of the latest IOS update, I have never had the problem before the last update.
I use the box with the arrow just to the left of the URL block at the top of the page to send myself links to pages of interest.  Adding the extra text seems like a pointless step, but it does work.
    Thanks.

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
There are reports of TV Shows missing from users screens, initially it looked like this might be an issue in the UK only, but it may well be more widespread. It appears to be an issue that can't be fixed by the user, you will need to wait until this is resolved by Apple.

  • From the bookmark toolbar cant sign out with the Yahoo "sign out" icon.

From the bookmark toolbar I can't sign out using the Yahoo "sign out" icon anymore. Deleting cache & cookies didn't help. I always use my own PC. Any help is appreciated. Thanx.

If you have bookmarked a specific link to log out and that link is no longer working the you need to delete this link. There is no guarantee that such a specific link keeps working and in such a case you need to abandon it and see if you can come up with a new link, but best is always to use a button or link on the website to log out.

  • Which is the specific item inside the "Clear History" settings of Firefox 3.6.13 that, if checked, prevents or deletes the 'Yahoo Sign In Seal' ?

My Yahoo Sign in Seal gets deleted from the cache or wherever it is saved in my computer after I close Firefox (3.6.13) and I don't see it again when I restart Firefox and browse to the Yahoo login page.
I used to have the 'private browsing session' checked. But after unchecking it and unchecking all the items in the 'clear history' section, the Sign In Seal problem is resolved. But I want the maximum possible Privacy settings that this Sign In Seal can withstand, ie the minimum possible sacrifice of privacy in relation to the Seal. My question is, how can I do that ? Is there any specific checkbox - unchecking which (and not unchecking all the others like what I've done now) will prevent the Seal from getting deleted ?

You can't use Private Browsing if you need to preserve or access specific cookies. In Private Browsing mode the cookies from a regular session are not available. Firefox will create a new set of cookies for every Private Browsing session that are removed if the PB mode session is ended.

  • Firefox always opens 2nd tab for Yahoo sign in

I had to reset Firefox to try to fix another software issue (which it didn't fix btw) and after the reset every time I open Firefox I get a 2nd tab for Yahoo asking me to log in to my Yahoo account even though I never sign out. I check the Keep me signed in box, enter my password and click sign in and then the next time I open Firefox I have to go through the process all over again because the Yahoo tab opens up AGAIN! I'm using the Yahoo Mail Notifier extension for Firefox but I've used it for years with no problems. I saw somewhere else that someone suggested going into the Options and the Privacy tab and under History making sure it was set to Use Custom Settings for History and that Use Private Browsing Mode was NOT checked and that Keep Cookies was set to Keep Until Firefox Closed with an exception for Yahoo. But mine was set to Remember History. However, when I set it to Use Custom the Private Browsing Mode wasn't checked, the cookies are set to Keep Until they Expire and there's a box to Clear History when Firefox Closes and it's NOT checked. Does anyone have any suggestions for what might be causing this? It's really frustrating!

Thanks, that was the culprit unfortunately. I really loved that button :-) But having to log in every single time is just too annoying.

  • Login can't be remembered on yahoo sign in

ever since upgrading to 24.0, before this, never a problem, i have gone through the list of cookies, and my settings, according to the articles written are in compliance.
I would have responded to another person who wrote the same issue, but this entire ordeal, has led me here instead.
Can someone please help, or is this a bug issue and will be fixed soon?
    Thanks.

hello mary3504, is your question that you're not automatically signed in when you visit yahoo after a browser restart or that the firefox password manager doesn't remember your username/password for the sign in form?
    '''no automatic sign in'''
<br>please try all the steps at [[Websites say cookies are blocked - Unblock them]]
    '''password not saved'''
<br>websites can specify if browsers should be able to save username/passwords (through the autocomplete="off" attribute in the login form in the html source code) - this is also the case at yahoo. you can either [https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/remember-passwords/ install an addon] or [https://www.squarefree.com/bookmarklets/forms.html#remember_password use a bookmarklet] to circumvent this restriction.

  • IE 8 Update = No BT yahoo sign on/off option?

I ran the executable to uninstall my old bt yahoo browser. On doing so it also deleted the BT yahoo Broadband sign on and off software. Consequently I now remain constantly signed in to my BT yahoo broadband account and have an active connection at all times with no way to disconnect. Signing in and out of my BT Yahoo email account no longer has any bearing on connecting to and disconnecting from the internet.
I am worried that this will result in my breaching the terms of my usage agreement. The BT Yahoo icon in the customized IE8 browser provides no option for signing on and off. How do i log out of my account and disconnect from the internet?

    If I was you ....
    I'd uninstall everything BT ....
Maybe except for the hub software, if you use one.
And either get the latest version 8 IE browser .... or the latest Firefox browser. (preferred)
Let windows configure your network, not BT software.
Save all your logon details before doing anything ....
And get CCleaner to clean your mess up afterwards ....   www.ccleaner.com
It's free, powerful, and effective. .... if you have a mess already .... makes sense to do it.

  • Yahoo Sign-in Seal keeps disappearing

When BT Yahoo introduced a sign-in seal, I saw it as another good move to improve security - after all, some banks have a similar stage.
But over the past week or so, I have found that whenever I log on, my seal has been replaced by the blasted red 'x'. So I set it up again - correctly, I believe! - but it is never there when I return. It's the same effect as hiitting 'OK' rather than 'Apply'.
    Anyone else having this?
If I had the time I would move away from BT Yahoo, as I've mentioned before.
PS Is it a co-incidence that around this period, I've heard the 'error' sound when powering up, but there hasn't been an error message window? How can I check this start-up error?

This has been raised before - try a search for "sign-in seal" in these forums. The sign-in seal depends on a cookie. The answer may be that your computer is not accepting cookies or is deleting them.

  • I use a yahoo sign-in seal and with firefox 7 it doesn't stay saved. How do I fix this?

Prior to updating to the new Firefox 7 I had created a sign-in seal that yahoo provides. This is an added security feature so that you know you are on the legitimate yahoo site signing in. In the past each time I would go to yahoo to sign in the seal would be there. Now with the update it is not saved. I would need to make the sign-in seal each time, which defeats the purpose. Are there settings I need to do in order for this to be saved all the time?

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode? <br />

  • The Yahoo sign-seal does not display in my newly upgraded firefox even after resettign it in yahoo. It works until I restart firefox

When I log into Yahoo I'm supposed to get a "sign-in seal" to verify the location is real. Since the upgrade firefox does not show the image. I reset it in yahoo and log out and log in and the seal is there but if I close firefox and then restart it the seal is gone. If I use IE8 the seal is still there. What needs reset in firefox to keep this security feature working?

That is a know problem caused by specifying the text color as transparent in the stylesheet.<br />
Removing that color rule or specifying a color like black (#000) should fix it.

  • Drop down menu is missing a yahoo sign in pages

I have several yahoo accounts and it used to be I could put in the first letter of my ID and a drop down menu would appear with my previous IDs I signed in with and I could click on it, now there is no drop down menu and I have to type it in each time. How can I restore this function.
    Thank you

I have the same trouble with Firefox v.24.0 It occurs on Windows XP, Windows 7 Pro, and Windows 7 Enterprise.
@foodie2 - your workaround definitely works and is far less painful than changing settings which could affect other sites. Great idea!

  • Yahoo sign in seal missing

I'm running Firefox on an imac, no seal will display I can't even upload and save a seal, text or graphic. This issue started today. I have checked to see I was on a legitimate yahoo site. I even added a new yahoo account, the same issue no display or uploading problems I am at a loss to explain the seal issues.

How is that seal saved on your computer?
Is that an image file or a Flash object?
    Are there cookies involved?<br />
In the case of the latter, you need to make sure that you allow cookies for the domains that Yahoo uses.
