BT1 and BT2

Why arent BT showing a screen on these channels advertising the fact that Sky Sports 1 & 2 will be shown on these channels and pricing info on how to get them?
Its the perfect chance in the few weeks till they launch on 1st August to get FREE advertising on the Freeview platform.
Like ESPN do when their channel is off air.

Quite true,
Maybe BT have an agreement with Sky not to 'freely' as such advertise this.
Who Knows!

  • Question about submitting a button upon pressing "Enter"

    HI everyone, I am using 11.1.2.1.0.
    I have a Panel Form Layout with 2 buttons (let's say, bt1 and bt2). I would want to auto trigger bt2 when user press "Enter".
    Is using javascript the only to implement this ? If it is, how(where) shall I place the javascript code if I want to achieve proper placement of codes.
    Thank you.

    i have a idea , without using javascript
    let i consider you had jspx page in that you had af:command button/command toolbar button
    choose that button go to the propeties pallete in that, you can found access key property give value say as E
    run your page in mozila ffx > 3.0 press alt + ctrl + e it will trigger what you what?
    based on browser key will differ.
    but somtimes my idea will not match/suit with your requirement so
    i have another answer drag and drop the af:resource from the component pallete under jspx root
    <af:resource scripttype = "javascript">
    //here js code
    <af:resource>
    <af:commandbutton>
    use some listener to invoke your javascript say as clientlistener / serverlistners
    <af:commandbutton>

  • Scheduling-thread level or process level?

    I have a question(perhaps a basic question) on scheduling. Suppose there are processes P1 and P2 running on a multi cpu box and each process has n number of threads running in the same priority level.
    Which statement below is correct?
    The scheduler schedules a process, say, P1 with a time slot(say, T1). During this T1 slot, only threads inside P1 will then scheduled for time slots of duration T1/n(for each threads) ?
    OR
    Scheduler schedules a thread for a given time slot errespective of which process it belongs to. For example, thread1 in P1 in time slot t1 and thread3 in P2 in the next time slot t2 etc. (t1 and t2 being equal duration)
    Please respond and enlighten me with your answer.
    Also, a link to any relevent documentation in this regard would be highly appreciated.
    thanks,
    -rajesh

    Hi Saurabh,
    Thanks for the info. I think, I am looking for something else. lI am still unclear about in which level process level or user thread level, scheduling takes place. I afraid, I haven't made my original question clear and so, here is it with more detailed explanation:
    Basically I need to know in which level scheduling takes place, in user thread level or in user process level. To be more specific,
    There are two process A and B. Process A has user threads(created by using pthread_create) at1 and at2. Similarly, B has the user threads bt1 and bt2.
    Assuming that the cpu time slice is T sec.
    The question is:
    Schedular schedules the process, say,
    Process A gets scheduled for time slice of Tsec and during this time intervel, at1 and at2 threads will get their share of time slice of T/2sec each
    or
    Schedular schedules user threads, say,
    at1 will get scheduled for T sec and then say, bt2 will get scheduled for the next Tsec etc irrespective of the processes they belong to.
    which one is true?
    Could you please clarify this a bit more? Or guide me if I misunderstood ?
    thanks,
    -rajesh

  • Pairing 5800XM v.50 with midland BT2

    Hello gentleman,
    I've a particular issue with the helmet-set midland BT2. Basically, I'm trying to pair the device with my nokia 5800XM with latest firmware v.50. When I find the BT2 device, first of all, my nokia require no password. Then, connects and recognize it as headset, working fine for the first minute. After that, starts tof disconnect-reconnect the device. Also, seems creating issues with communications with the 2nd BT2 (intercom set).
    I've took my old Motorola, paired the device, asked for password (0000) and is working completely fine, as it's supposed to be.
    So... any idea how the Bluetooth is doing this? The device is quite brand new firmware and I've hardresetted just 2 days ago. Calling Midland assistance seems they have general trouble with NOKIA devices.
    Looking for a reply
    Have a nice day
    Regards
    Carlo

    Hello Carlo, I have a 5800XM and BT2 intercom too, but I have another kind of problem.
    I've updated the 5800 to the last FW to solve the agenda issue (it loose the time!!)
    Before this action, the BT connection was good (calls and player).
    Now, when I disconnect the BT closing the intercom or going out of range of the BT connection and not close it from the phone, the 5800 freeze (I have to remove the battery!), this kind of problem is frequent.
    It is occasionally with the headset SBS I use (this occurs when I reject or end a call from the BT headset
    So I think the problem is the BT managing of the phone and not in the intercom
    Hope this help you

  • OPEN LETTER TO NOKIA: Fix Bugs Now or We're Ditchi...

    Dear Nokia
    After many years struggling with Windows Mobile's constant bugs that Microsoft are reknowned for, I finally bit the bullet and bought an E71 made by the king of mobile phone manufacturers... or so I thought... Nokia.
    I have been utterly astonished and devastated by the number of extremely obvious bugs with this device and am shocked beyond belief that Nokia is allowing itself to tarnish its own previously good brand image by putting out untested phones with software that seems to have been written by a 12 year old boy as his first project.
    I have tried posting the issues on these groups, but no solution. 'Wait for a firmware update', or 'hard reset your phone and lose all your hours worth of customisations', seem to be the standard replies. I have emailed your support, who cannot even read and send irrelevant replies. It is no wonder the bugs do not make it past them and get forwarded to you, and therefore no wonder you are not fixing them.
    Worse still some of these bugs go back to phones before the Eseries according to my Google searches. You have knowingly carried forward bugs from old phones to new flagship ones. It is utterly unbelievable.
    This is an open letter asking you to resolve the following bugs within 30 days via a Firmware update for the E71, or I will be returning my Nokia E71 under the UK Sale of Goods Act 1979 as it is "not fit for the intended purpose" (such as making a simple Bluetooth call or using WiFi), and "not of satisfactory quality". I urge other users to also return their Nokias if they are forced to endure such bugs beyond 30 days of this notice.
    Here are the bugs I am experiencing, which I have seen multiple other users report, and I am sure other users will reply to my open letter confirming they will also be abandoning the Nokia brand in favour of something more reliable.
    1) Bluetooth Disconnects - see http://tinyurl.com/3q9hmk
    Excerpt: "My headset (Plantronics Voyager 510) disconnects every 10 seconds, then reconnects, then disconnects, then... I can leave them just inches from each other and they'll go through this strange dance.
    Furthermore you cannot answer an Internet VoIP call using the headset's answer button, but CAN answer a cell call.
    Then I get in my car (JVC KD-BT1) and make a call, and 2 minutes into every call the Bluetooth connection is dropped and the call transfers to the handset. Very dangerous."
    2) WLAN Ghost Access Points and clunky behaviour
    The WiFi integration is a mess. There are so many different ways to connect, via WLAN scanner, via Tools, via Internet Phone, and the outcome is that even though you are only within one access point, multiple access points get created. E.g. if I connect to 'WiFi' and define an access point, if I later connect via a different route, I get a ghost access point 'WiFi(01)'. Do this for a week or so at home and you end up with these access points:
    WiFi
    WiFi(01)
    WiFi(02)
    WiFi(03) and so on...
    Try to delete one of them, and all 4 disappear. Experiment too much further and try to tidy up, and suddenly anything to do with WLAN access slows the phone down 1000%:
    - Click WLAN Scan and the Home Screen freezes for 3 minutes
    - Try to enter Internet Phone and the status bar freezes
    - Try to connect to Email and it fails to ask for an access point and just gives up
    Then you have to work out how to restore WiFi(01)... etc. to how they were before, and only then does the freezing stop.
    Hard reset is not a solution - it just happens again before long. I have better things to do with my life than constantly configure my phone settings after each hard reset.
    3) View Interrupted Downloads, if only I could - see http://tinyurl.com/6jeuvt
    After a failed download, every time I reboot the phone or close Web, the phone asks 'View interrupted downloads?'. If I click yes, it just takes me to the Bookmarks. There is no 'Downloads' option in Web's Options menu in the E71. It is impossible to make this annoying popup go away. Unless you hard reset and lose all your settings and data.
    4) A2DP is always on - see http://tinyurl.com/5nat3r
    Excerpt: "I get in the car and the phone connects to my JVC KD-BT5 stereo. All audio is again routed through the stereo's A2DP source. But if I listen to the radio, I don't hear the phone audio, and again miss out on SMS alerts and more!
    This is the only A2DP phone I know that doesn't let you choose whether each Bluetooth headset is also a 'Bluetooth Audio Device'! Even Windows Mobile had a checkbox for that!!"
    5) Diabolical Camera Quality
    The camera quality is appalling. The amount of grain must be a bug. Nokia will lose sales on this compared to the Blackberry Bold which has a lower-res yet better quality camera. Also AutoFocus should be Auto (!) not require pressing the 't' key.
    When I try to find a repair centre at http://www.apps.nokia.co.uk/clubnokiaservice/ your website is down. Even the link to find a solution is bugged!
    I am amazed that some of these bugs relate to older Nokia phones like no. 3 and that a customer has to go to these lengths to try to get Nokia's programmers' attention.
    If other users agree, they will reply here and let Nokia know.
    Yours frustratedly,
    A new (soon to be ex-) Nokia customer

    I have no comments regarding the above issues, but have a few of my own. I know some 'features' with some of the phones are hard to distinguish from 'bugs', so I'll just list a few glitches I feel are obvious bugs. My phone is the Finnish version of E71-1.
    The e-mail hardware shortcut button on my E71-1 is giving me the "Feature not available. Reverting to default setting" error if the button is set to open up the Create New E-mail screen when held down for a second or two. All other settings that can be set-up in the Mode Settings work normally. Note that the default action *is* to open up the Create New E-mail screen when the button is held down. Hard reset doesn't help.
    In the Gallery if I rotate a picture that I've for example shot in portrait orientation (E71 has a landscape screen), the new orientation doesn't get saved. After exiting the image viewer the image has reverted to it's original orientation. As-is, the feature doesn't make sense to me at the moment. This is quite an old 'feature' dating back to the E61 at least.
    Connecting my Motorola HT820 A2DP-compatible stereo headset to my E71 is giving me grief. The audio keeps cutting off even though I keep my cellphone in my shirt pocket. To be exact, for some peculiar reason the phone either pauses the music or goes fast forward if I have my hand between the headset's receiver and the phone. After doing so, occasionally the pitch of the music has hightened, like an LP playing too fast on the turntable. Listening to music while keeping the phone at the opposite side of my body to the bluetooth headset is nearly impossible, because my own body mass is apparently enough to block the signal (I'm 80kg, 185cm). I've had no problems with connecting to other A2DP media players (e.g. Palm TX PDA, Bluetooth 1.2) to my headset.
    The video camera's zoom is still jerky (a bug with my ex-E61i) and the jerkiness gets recorded to the video file. Last time I tried recording video I found out that the phone had lost about one minute from the beginning of the recording. I'm getting a feeling that the E71 is underpowered for these kinds of tasks - but is it really?
    I have some old programs and themes that I used in my previous phone the E61i in my 2GB memory card. After inserting the memory card to my new E71 and starting the phone up, it tries to install the applications to the new system. The installing fails, but this isn't really the problem. The problem is that the phone suggests installing all the remaining "untrusted" programs manually, and even after successfully doing just that, the phone still attempts to install the new software after every single reset. To "clean up" the memory card of the remnant software and files that cause this behavior I had to search around the net for in-depth knowledge about the Symbian filesystem and folder structure. Asking the help desk about the problem only results to such answers as: "Do a hard reset." "Don't fiddle with the memory card folders." "Format the memory card and your phone."
    All I need is the phone to tell which files are causing the problems, or the ability to simply turn off the automatic installer at startup. The worst kind of error messages are the kinds that don't help at all.

  • API : EventHandler and ugly code

    Hello,
    I'm playing with javafx2 api since I 've been disapointed by flex and silverlight api.
    My reference is forever the swing api and I want to know how to write beautiful code which will respect all best practices (pmd,checkstyle, findbugs, javancss)
    The problem is the genericsable class EventHandler ...
    In swing I can have a class that implements MouseListener and ActionListener interface, So if my control implements these interfaces I can have an actionPerformed, mouseMoved .... methods which will process all actions.
    public class MyClass extends JPanel implements ActionListener, MouseListener {
    mybutton.addActionListener(this);
    mycontrol.addMouseListener(this);
    public void actionPerformed(ActionEvent e){
        if(e.getSource.equals(mybutton)){
             // mybutton stuff
    public void mouseMoved(MouseEvent e){
        if(e.getSource.equals(mycontrol)){
             // mycontrol stuff
    }The JavaFX2 API use the same approach but since the eventHandler use a custom generics type, I must implements EventHandler (without type <XX>) and do a lot of cast everywhere to fill the gap.
    mybutton.setOnAction((EventHandler)this);then
    public class ControlPanel extends Region implements EventHandler<Event> {
    bt1.setOnAction((EventHandler)this);
    bt2.setOnAction((EventHandler)this);
    progressbar.setOnMouseClicked(this);
        public void handle(Event event) {
            if(MouseEvent.class.equals(event.getClass())){
                f(event.getSource().equals(progressbar)){
                     //stuff;
            }else if(ActionEvent.class.equals(event.getClass())){
                if(event.getSource().equals(bt1)){
                     //stuff;
                }else if(event.getSource().equals(bt2)){
                    //stuff;
        }IN fact with javafx2 it's more difficult to write code not using anonymous class which will be a very big problem for software maintainability and source code quality.
    Moreover the SetONXXX method which have a Runnable argument need anonymous class or dedicated inner class to manage threading priorities and I don't see any solution to make it cleaner.
    It would be nicer to use a custom Runnable class which have some fields used to identify the source and the kind of event.
    At the moment, a javafx2 developers have 2 options :
    _ Write a lot of anonymous class anywhere in its source code, the class will be unreadable because the code is not organized (components initialization, action processes, business logic)
    _ create a huge amount of dedicated class (runnable and eventhandler) which all reference the main control ...
    JavaFx2 code will be more complex and can be less adopted or misloved ....
    What do you think about this ?
    Edited by: Seb on 27 août 2011 00:15

    I do like a good architecture debate, everyone gets so passionate! :)
    Pure OO or otherwise, I feel your pain Sebastian: inner classes can be painful to work with. As mentioned above, (IMHO) this is mostly a result of Java's syntax being a little clunky in this area. What you really want to do is pass in a method pointer like this:
    void buildView() {
        Button myButtton = new Button();
        myButton.addActionHandler(onMyButtonAction);
    void onMyButtonAction(ActionEvent event) {
        // do custom event handling
    } But obviously Java doesn't support this at a language level. It does support it via Reflection however and in Swing (and now in JFX) I've often created a helper class that would let me bind the action to the method via Reflection (using inner classes internally - but this is all hidden under the helper).
    void buildView() {
        Button myButtton = new Button();
        bindAction(myButton.onActionProperty(), this, "onMyButtonAction");
    void onMyButtonAction(ActionEvent event) {
        // do custom event handling
    } Your code is now much simpler and more readable but the big (BIG!) drawback is that you lose compiler safety - it is up to you to decide whether this is worth it or not (I'm sure purists will passionately hate this idea but I'm all for 'developers choice').
    A simple implementation of the helper code would look something like:
    public void bindAction(ObjectProperty<EventHandler<ActionEvent>> onActionProperty, final Object target, final String methodName)
        final Method method = target.getClass().getMethod(methodName, EventHandler.class);
        onActionProperty.set(new EventHandler<ActionEvent>()
            public void handle(ActionEvent event)
                method.invoke(target, event);
    }I've left out exception handling for simplicity. You could obviously add a bindMouseClick method, and bindXYZ methods for all the other events that you want to handle.
    There's also an [url http://download.oracle.com/javafx/2.0/fxml_get_started/jfxpub-fxml_get_started.htm]emerging option with FXML, that does similar action to method binding. When you define your button in the XML you add a onAction="#myButtonHandlerMethod" and the FXML binder will bind this automagically to your method (I imagine using reflection like I have done above). It's still pretty raw and you have to build your UI layout in XML (a plus in some people's eyes, a negative in others) but it's worth a look. I haven't seen Mouse handler stuff in there yet but if it's not there yet, I imagine it will be added before too long.
    Like all free advice, take it or leave it :)
    Enjoy,
    zonski

  • Warnings and observations- need some explications and opinions

    Hallo,
    I'm new to Java and using Eclipse for coding. I copied the following code from a book, but Eclipse gives me some yellow flagged warnings (not critical). There are few I can't understand. This would help me a lot in understanding Java better, as I couldn't find answers. Thank you.
    warnings I get:
    1) The serializable class Window does not declare a static final serialVersionUID field of type long     demo.java     teste/src     line 10     Java Problem
    2) The static field BorderLayout.CENTER should be accessed in a static way     demo.java     teste/src     line 29     Java Problem
    interesting observations:
    3) If I delete setDefaultCloseOperation(JFrame.EXIT_ON_CLOSE); and setContentPane(ca);, the program works as before. Are they necessary?
    4) Which Layout do you use? Border layout looks for me very unuseful if you can only add 5 buttons, you can' arrange tham ore leave spaces between. Do you use Gridbag Layout in application ore what other, so that I know which is the best
    5) I also get the warning : The local variable win is never read     demo.java     teste/src     line 6     Java Problem. Is there any problem IF I have warnings in my code? I don't need to do anything else with the win variable? Should I add some parameters to the variable or leave the warning message.

    1. You simply haven't defined the static long serialVersionId variable (not really necessary).
    2. blm.CENTER should be BorderLayout.CENTER (No biggie but should definately be changed).
    3.
    part a. The default action is dispose on close, but since your program does nothing other than this simple GUI it will also exit at that point. So, in this case, it doesn't matter, but is better to set it, if that is what you want to have happen.
    part b. since ca is defined with getContentPane(), using setContentPane() is not needed.
    Judging by the stuff shown, if this is a true copy of the example from the book you used, and not edited by yourself, then I would say to find a new book. These things may only be warnings, and no real big thing, but in a book they are signs of disaster. As it will either cause bad habits in the person using them, or even cause real problems in other areas. If they are this sloppy in such a simple example, I would hate to see anything more complicated from them.

  • Applying and Removing Filters

    Hi,
    I have folowing code:
    var obj01:MovieClip;
    import flash.filters.BlurFilter;
    function aplicaGlow(act:String):Void {
    var glow:GlowFilter = new GlowFilter();
    if(act == 'on'){
    glow.color = glow.color=0xffffff;
    glow.blurX = glow.blurY=10;
    glow.strength = 2;
    else if(act == 'off') {
    glow.blurX = glow.blurY=0;
    glow.strength = 0;
    obj01.filters = [glow];
    aplicaGlow('on');
    // aplicaGlow('off');
    If I use the "aplica on/off", everything works. But now i
    have following chalange:
    I must apply/remove this filter on mc's, thru buttons, which
    are inside mcs.
    For example:
    If the user hits bt1 (which is inside mc1), mc1 receives the
    glow filter. If the user hits bt2 (which is inside mc2), mc2
    receives the glow filter and the glow filter of mc1 is removed.
    I hope that I war clear enought.
    Thanks,
    Peter

    have you tried putting the code for your btns inside the
    movieclips and using _parent to target the movieclips? if not, try
    that.

  • Need advice on bluetooth driver and software download

    *PLEASE HELP*: just bought a Nexus bluemicro pro bluetooth v2.1 dongle. and ive damaged the disk it came with when I was opening the packet.
    The disk says: Toshiba bluetooth driver and software bluetooth BT1.2/2/0/2.1.
    Does anyone know if there is a download for this online somewhere or will I have to go out and buy another one? I'm not clued up when it comes to computers and would very much appreciate any advice and help.... I;m using windows vista so it would have to be compatible.

    On Toshiba support and download page you can download Toshiba BT stack but it is for usage with Toshiba notebooks.
    You bought non-Toshiba product so for download contact Nexus or visit Nexus support page.

  • Where to download driver for the SD BT2 Bluetooth adapter for Win7 x64?

    Hello,
    where can I download drivers for the SD BT2 Bluetooth adapter for Win7 x64?
    Thank you.

    I agree with bluecat.
    BT SD card is not on the market for years now and this device is not supported anymore so I think you will not be able to find driver to get it work with Win7.

  • PC Sync fails with USB2/BT2 dongle connection to N...

    I have a problem with syncing my N2760 phone.
    Its BT connection works fine with the headset but PC Sync, after working sporadically on the first day (it took 6 tries to load my 530 Outlook contacts on to the phone) no longer works at all.
    I have 2 BT enabled computers, a Vista Home Premium Sony Laptop using a Bluesoleil USB2/BT2 dongle and an XP Pro workstation using a Broadcom USB2/BT2 dongle with Widcomm software. In both cases the BT stacks are listed as being supported by PC Suite.
    On both machines PC Sync runs for a little while then the sync fails with a message suggesting I check the connection. The phone also partially locks up and the screen just displays the battery and BT symbols, the rest is blank. It won't come out of this condition even if I remove the battery and/or simm card. After 15 minutes or so it recovers by itself.
    The PC Suite version is 6.85.14.1

    I think the information I'm looking for is whether anyone has been able to get reliable performance from PC Sync using a BT dongle. AFAICT there are 3 supported BT stack families, Widcomm, Bluesoleil amd Microsoft. The one I haven't tried is MS - would it be worth my while looking for a dongle that's supported by MS?

  • MSI MS-3871 WLAN 802.11b/g/n 1T1R+BT2.1 EDR Combo Slim Module Error

    I installed the Intel MSI MS-3871 WLAN 802.11b/g/n 1T1R+BT2.1 EDR Combo Slim Module on my motherboard running Win 7 Pro x64 and MS Office Pro 2007.
    The software/drivers for the module added Bluetooth features to the Office 2007 applications.
    Every time I reply to an email for the first time, I get the following pop-up error box:
    Custom UI Runtime Error in Send to Bluetooth
    Quote
    "Error found in Custom UI XML of "Send to Bluetooth":
    Line: 1
    Column: 143
    Error Code 0x8000405
    Failed to find Office control by ID
    ID: FileSendMenu"
    The error box has two buttons: OK & OK to All
    I can disable the pop-up error box by unchecking "Show add-in user interface errors" under "In all Microsoft Office Programs:" in Tools/Options/"Other" Tab/"Advanced Options..." button. I can also disable the "Send to Bluetooth" option in all Office applications.
    I'd like to know if there is a solution for this issue other than turning off the notification of the add-in user interface error or disabling the feature?
    How do I troubleshoot this issue?
    I have the latest Intel drivers installed. The drivers for the Bluetooth side of the module are from Motorola and the drivers for the WLAN 802.11bgn side of the module are from Ralink.
    Bluetooth Devices:
    Bluetooth 2.1+EDR USB Device
    Driver Provider: Motorola, Inc., Driver Date: 22-Nov-10, Driver Version: 3.0.0.285
    Network adapters:
    802.11bgn 1T1R Wireless Adapter
    Driver Provider: Ralink, Driver Date: 27-Jul-10, Driver Version: 3.1.4.0
    Bluetooth Network Adapter
    Driver Provider: Motorola, Inc., Driver Date: 16-Jul-10, Driver Version: 3.0.2.266
    Ports (COM & LPT):
    Bluetooth Serial Port (COM5)
    Driver Provider: Motorola, Inc., Driver Date: 30-Jul-10, Driver Version: 3.0.2.259
    The offending driver is very likely the Bluetooth: Motorola* Bluetooth 2.1+EDR USB Device Version 3.0.2.285.
    The Intel Download Center indicates it's valid for all OS and the following Intel products: DP67BG, DX58OG, DX58SO2, DX79SI, DX79SR, DX79TO, DX68BC, DX68ZV, DZ77GA-70K, DZ77RE-75K, & DZ87KLT-75K.
    This driver also causes issues with Microsoft Office 2007 & 2010 applications when you copy to the clipboard and paste from the clipboard. It will copy text and paste as a black blob.
    What are the chances of getting an updated driver from Motorola?

  • Streaming Audio A2DP and Airport solutions or Quicktime Broadcaster...

    Hi everyone,
    (first post for me, I hope this is not the wrong place for this)
    So here it is : another topic about audio streaming, sorry about that.
    What I want to do : Since all my music is on my Macbook with Leopard, I want to be able to stream less or more in real time some audio from iTunes, and maybe later if possible audio from movies or else outside iTunes. The stream has to be played on my stereo speakers that are currently plugged on my desktop Windows computer.
    I know there is couple of solutions for that, and here is what I tried :
    The airport express was the first easy thing, worked quite good but couple of things could have been better :
    - This imply that you put on your network a 54G device (trying to avoid that to go fully N)
    - You can not really use something that is not on itunes (Airfoil enables it, but still limitations) About that I ll be glad to hear from you if someone tried to stream from a movie with that - issues with a/v sync?, etc..
    Then I thought about using A2DP, but the Leopard support seams not reliable, so I did not try to buy an A2DP receiver - that has an audio output for your speakers. There is couple of them on the market (http://sonyfanboy.wordpress.com/2007/05/27/new-sony-a2dp-bluetooth-receiver-tdm- bt1/), but some reports indicate that the sound is bad, the range is poor, and it interferes with the wifi. - any comments on that would be appreciated! - also - do you have an a/v sync if you play a video this way?
    The third solution is the one I am using for now. Not perfect, but the better for me so far:
    I am using a combination of Quicktime Broadcaster, Soundflower and Soundsource to create a virtual sound card that stream everyhing that is sent to it. On the other side my desktop computer receives the stream via either Vlc or Quicktime.
    This works quite well since everything goes through the existing network (My desktop has a 100mb link to my router). I had to look for the right settings for quite a while, and sometime Quicktime broadcaster has strange behavior (stops responding while launching or closing, or when starting or stopping the broadcast). But once it is launched and broadcasting, it is solid - the broadcast can sometimes be on for couple of days without me noticing it. Since I am using vbr, the stream is going down to about 15Kb/s when no sound is played on the macbook.
    Still, It would be nice to have a solution that is more flexible, maybe with no latency to watch movies, and maybe something that does not need my pc to be started and to run a client to play the stream.
    So I am looking for some insights about similar solutions : maybe one of this internet radios that would pick up the broadcast, but also that would output the sounds on external speakers.
    That s it, I am done typing. Sorry for my English and this (too long) post. Again, comments appreciated.
    The problem remains here the latency (at least one second even with all cache or buffer turned down) - so you can not stream the audio of a movie that you watch on a wireless device.
    Vincent

    The audio found on a CD is recorded using 44.1 kHz.
    Your DV camera records at 48 kHz only because that is the setting used in .dv files.
    It's a waste of bandwidth to use such a high setting. Heck. You probably don't even need "stereo".
