BTFON Login

I keep getting invalid userid or password error when trying to sign on to the BTFON landing page.
I have tried opting out and opting back in using my primary btopenworld account on the ipad2 and this works OK its just the landing page sign in which keeps rejecting. So unable to use the iPad2 via Wifi on BTFON hotspots.
I have downloaded the BTFON ipad app but this will take my uid and password and show me hotspots but thats as far as I get. Trying to log onto the web I get the BTFON landing page then the login error.
I have tried all 3 options (Bt broadband, bt openzone and bt fon) with the UID and pass with same error on all.
It just seems that the BTfon login verification does not match up to the database used to opt in to the service.
Anyone have any ideas on how I can have the access details checked with BTFON?
Thanks
David

when you log in to BTFON try using your btinternet address and not your btopenworld address.  you have botha as all BT customers do but BTFON seems to prefer the btinternet.com address
so sign in is the same just sibstitute btinternet for btopenworld
password is the same

  • Changing BTfon username & password

I understand that BTfon login is dependent on the primary e-mail address, and its password. As unfortunately when my BB deal was set up, the operator couldn't spell my first name correctly. This has resulted in a dormant address which I never use - the address used normally must be a dependent one. However, BTfon requries the primary (i.e. mis-spelt) username, etc, and there is no way I can find to change that name, or the relevant password. Could someone advise, perhaps?

I have the same problem, a miss spelling of my wifes name who was the bill payer ( now changed to me but no idea why BT had got the name wrong), but despite lots of time trying to change it and conversations with BT, it seems to be unchangeable.  One conversation with BT suggested that it could be done at a small charge of just under £300  !!!  The last complaint did result in a slight breakthrough in that when I open BT Yahoo, for a split second it does have my name, but then reverts to my wifes miss spelt name, so when I send BT Yahoo emails they are from someone who does not exist.  Can't understand why this is so difficult.

  • S620 htc Windows mobile E-mail or password invalid...

I have a s620 htc and I can use my mobile phone fine when connected to my own bt router  using the normal SSID. However when I try and use BTfon insetad even in my own home it wont work. It does get to the btfon login screen and asks for my user emaill address and password. But as soon as I put it in and click login it states  "e-mail or password" invalid.
I know my email address i.e [email protected] and I know the password.
I can connect using BTfon on my laptop device fine with the username and password. But I do exactly the same on the phone and it fails. I have even changed my btinternet password to something simpler and does exactly the same. Logs in ok on my laptop but my phone wont login. I press the capital button and make sure the number is correct but still no joy.
Is there anyway I can try and hook mobile phone to my pc and edit anything to hard code the user name and  password. I cant seem to find a windows mobile app only android and I phone. I assume I only have to get this working once and it willl be automatic after that
Very frustarting as only got the phone for a small bit of browsing when out and about.
I have tried password several times and I know what I am inputting is correct

Any help is worth a try.
I did try that too as so difficult to tell with Windows 7 mobile not being that great, as on the laptop you can easily see which buts need just user name and which ones need full email address.  Its really odd if i get to a certain pageon my phone I can log in and check my BTfon status so accepts all my user name and password on that. But its the very first screen my phone hits when I try to go on the internet, then I click btfon login. I then try and put the details in that screen and just no joy.
I dont mind stripping windows mobile off this phone but cant find an alternative o/s

  • Reinstalled iPod BTFON app won't let me log in

After much frustration with trying to connect to BTFON and Openzone hotspots using the BTFON app on my iPod Touch 4 (the usual "temporarily unavailable", "out of memory", "no connection to the internet" stuff) and trying all the tips suggested by others (closing background apps, forgetting the network etc) in desperation I decided to try deleting the app and reinstalling it.  Now it won't accept my login details although they are correct.  I also tried reinstalling via Sync from my computer - same result.  I've tried clearing the login and password fields in the app, still the problem exists.
I've emailed BTFON support and received no reply save a request to fill in their customer satisfaction survey, and rung the helpline and got cut off.
    So can anyone help please?!!
    Thanks
    Richard

  • How to use BTfon after purchasing BT Infinity?

So we switched from BE (landline and internet) to bt infinity, during signup we specified our own gmail address
When i try to login to befon it wants a bt email - how do i find out what mine is?, my bt shows our gmail address, but using this address on the btfon page doesnt work.
    ideas?

You have to use the @btinternet email address with BT FON. While you specified the gmail address to be on your account to be used as the primary contact, FON and Openzone require you to use the email address provided by BT

  • Unable to logiin on BTFon Homepage

When attempting to login into the above homepage ( url http://www.btfon.com/ )
Question A:-  is my user name and password to login to above the same as for logging into BT Yahoo Homepage ?
ie BT Yahoo email address followed by password
Question B:- If so why does the page not show an underscore when I type it in as part of my email address and
    not give me access?
    Mike

Its the same as your primary e-mail account ending in @btinternet.com.
I can see an underscore "_" when I type in an e-mail address with on in. Its possible that your display settings are hiding it.
It can sometimes happen if your screen resolution does not match the native resolution of your display, especially on LCD screens.

  • Blackberry 9300...access to BTFON

I have a Vodafone Blackberry 9300 with BT Openzone access as part of my Vodafone contract.
I also have a BT Total Broadband package for my home landline & internet access.
I don't seem to be ale to access the BT FON service even though I am entitled to free access to it via my BT Broadband package.
The customer service team at BT have advised me to enter the required email address & password in order to log in the BT FON but it just isn't working? Do I need some kind of APP for my Blackberry?

Same problem with my Blackberry 9700 being unable to access BTfon. It can connect to the hub but no login or internet access. Just waisted 30 minutes waiting to get through to tech support only to be told 'well if you have cleared the cache and history on your device then theres not a lot I can help you with'. I asked the guy when is the app being released for the blackberry and the reply was ' what app?'.
Coming on top of shoddy customer service, duff information, being given the wrong internet and phone package that I signed up for, refusing outright to amend my package, the Blackberry issue is the icing on the cake. Ive been with BT for 3 weeks now and I'm weighing up just paying the extra just to get shot of my 12 month contract. The first and last time I will ever sign up with BT again unless there is a complete rethink on their customer service and tech support and actually put the customer first. They seem to set a low standard and fail to achieve it. As long as mugs keep signing up they'll keep taking the money and remain the same.

  • BTFON APPS DOWNLOAD FOR BLACKBERRY

  • Unable to connect Ipod 4th Gen to BTFON or BTOpenZ...

I have an ipod 3rd Gen which works fine, but have just started using a 4th gen IPOD and when I click on Settings/Wifi then select BTFON or BTOPENZONE, it then goes to a login in screen (welcome to the hotspot)  with 3 options at the top (Total Boradband, BTFON, BT Open Zone). I click to select one of them, and then login using my btinternet details, but nothing happens when I select Total Broadband, the screen just refreshes and I've not connected. If I select BTFON or BTOPENZONE, then it says login failed.
The ipod works fine using my normal wifi connection on my Hub but I cant connect to BTFON or BTOPENZONE which show in the list.
I have opted in as I only became a BT customer 2 months ago, and as I say, it works fine on my 3rd gen ipod.
    Can anyone help?

I should have mentioned it, but when I get apps from the app store, I don't get them from my computer, I get them from the wifi connection in my home through my father's Apple ID. This is the only way anything purchased from iTunes gets onto my iPod, because the rest of content ( music) is promotional mixtapes.

  • OZ Auto Login

    Hi,
I have installed easywifi on my HTC Touch2. I am now able to auto login to OZ without entering my user name and password every time.
However it requires online registration where your details are securely kept, and where you can also add other wifi hotspot accounts.
I can confirm it works ok but will only login to OZ and not BTfon.
Has anyone else used this app?
Do you think this is all above board? After all, Easywifi by Devicescape now hold my login details.
    Thanks
    Del

Thanks Ray for your reply.  It wasn't until I got the thing working that I though of the possible security risk.
I have found it to be a very useful tool.  It takes the hassle of searching for available networks, and if OZ is a one of them, it logs me in automatically.  I have also only just discovered this morning, if you leave easy wifi running you can use it to log you back out of OZ once you have finished.
    Thanks again

  • Checking login status.....

My Iphone connects to BT Fon and BTopenzone hotspots readily enough but I cant browse. Doesn't matter where I am always the same.
I've installed the BTFon app, added my user/pw but it just sits there with 'checking login status...'
The BTFon site says I am opted in but my Home Hub says BTFon not active.
I called BT on 0800 022 3322 and after a short call in which the guy said I was doing everything correctly he transferred me to.....0800 022 3322
the next guy then told me that bad weather had caused a problem with the iphone app!
    what a joke

Never get to the bt landing page - connect, get ip address, cant browse, no landing page.
I've spent hours trying to use btfon (from pc, iphone and android) - never works. Told by a BT fon engineer that the homehubs send out a ssid and let you connect/get an ip address even when they are under high use and cant provide service. So you waste time connecting to homehubs that have no available bandwidth.
Also told to use a 'premium hotspot' but of course how do you identify one when they have the same ssids as all the home hubs?
Every call to BT comes up with another excuse; we've got service issues, our iphone app needs fixing etc
I've had infinity for 15 months and only evr managed to logon to a btfon once. Having access to wifi hotspots is supposed to be a feature of bt broadband but in my experience it doesn't work and BT cant fix it.
Roll on bt wholesale offering fibre broadband to 3rd parties, I'll not be sticking with BT.
    Hi.
How strong is the signal you're getting ? I've used BTFon without problem recently, using a small android tablet. However when the signal was rock bottom, I couldn't do anything despite being connected.
When you do connect, have you tried going to www.btopenzone.com ?
There is a possibility that the fon connections you've managed to connect to are in constant "full" use, so you wouldn't get any real bandwidth as the host will take it all (by design).
However it does actually indicate from your info that you've not actually "logged in". Although a connection may be granted, you still need to provide your primary email address/password in order to access BTFon - and that is either by the App or the landing page.

  • SSO requires double login for partner application

I'm having some trouble with SSO partner applications, when I login to a SSO protected application, the login works fine, but when I try to navigate to another application I'm presented with the login page again, the sso cookie seems to be working since clicking on the login button without entering the user credentials works. For example, I log in to portal and from there I navigate to a forms application that is on the same server and the same port (portal: https://apps.mydomain.com:4444/pls/portal --> forms: https://apps.mydomain.com/forms/frmservlet?config=app) I am presented with the login page and after clicking on the login button without entering any information everything works fine. This is happening for all the middle tiers that are connected to the same OID. Any ideas on what can be wrong on my configuration?

    Hi Andrey,
    The problem sounds really wierd.
Can you check your SSO settings for your Portal ECC system? I mean, please check the User Management/Administration properties in your System Adminstration of Portal System that points to ECC.

  • Partner application configuration is missing error on SSO login page

We have APEX 3.1.2 setup as a partner application and an application within APEX setup to use SSO for authentication. Following a link to the APEX application redirects to the Single Sign-On page, as it should, but it also shows "Error: The partner application configuration is missing or expired." I type in my password and username, click the Login button, and (if I entered my username and password correctly, of course!) then the APEX application is shown. So, I cannot figure out why we're getting the no_papp_err error and I have not found any solutions to that issue on Metalink or anywhere else on the Internet. Any ideas? I'm concerned that we have a misconfiguration somewhere that is causing this error and will affect any other partner application we setup in the future.
We're on Oracle Portal 10.1.4, SSO 10.1.2, and SSL is setup on both infra and mid tiers.

Did you try checking the partner application entries on the SSO-login server page?
please login as orcladmin or some other user with membership in, i beleive, iasadmins group. verify that for this partner application, what you see here corresponds to the application URL. it looks like your login page call may have issues. so check for login url too.
also check the ORASSO.WWSSO_LS_CONFIGURATION_INFO$ for entries corresponding to Apex application.

  • Partner application access to portal login info

How can an SSO partner application (Java) tell whether or not a user has logged in to Portal?
I need to log activity in a public application servlet, so I'd like to log the user as PUBLIC if not logged in or as their actual userid.
I don't seem to have access to this info until the user has visited a secure part of the app.
    Any pointers would be appreciated.
    Thanks

    DIY answer ...
The cludge I used to get round this was ...
Make a PL/SQL item which displays a Login or Logout link as appropriate, based on the current userid from portal.wwctx_api.get_user.
The login link goes to a secure portal page called FORCE_LOGIN, passing a URL parameter called nextPageURL which contains the URL of the next page to show after the login is complete. You can use portal.wwpro_api_parameters.get_value( '_pageid', 'a'); to help build the current page URL if you want to retun to the current page.
The FOIRCE_LOGIN page contains a PL/SQL item which builds an IFRAME whos src is a URL to my app servlet ForceLoginServlet, passing on the nextPageURL parameter. Use portal.wwpro_api_parameters.get_value( 'nextPageURL', 'a'); to help with that.
The ForceLoginServlet is a secure servlet (set up in web.xml) so that forces a silent authentication to my app. All the servlet does is display HTML to redirect back to the URL in nextPageURL.
Horrible! But it does the job.
Anyone who know a better way of doing this, please tell me.
    Rob
