BTV 251

Hi - Anyone had this or can help with it:
BT TV working fine then one night press the You View button and select BT Logo  a diolog box with BTV 251 appears.
Ring India (20 mins later) went through the script
Latest software installed - yes
Internet connected - yes
Power everything off
Reload BT infinity Modem
Reload router
Turn on You View Box
Reset Factory Settings (loose all recordings!)
Change cable at the back of router for alternative outlet
All that loads now (after pressing BT Logo again) is kind of advert that will take you nowhere if you select the options from it.
Then India tell me that its a next level support group that is needed.
Without notification about and hour later BT TV works - OK so far! (First fix)
Next day press BT Logo back to BTV 251.
Ring India again ask them to skip the script just get the server at BT to authenticate my You View box
India say - 2nd Line Don't cover this 24 hours so can I wait till next day (no not realy but what can I do!) I thought there was 24 hour support on this?
OK next day arrives - today Sunday and it works!  2nd fix:

It you're getting a BTV503 error message on new look BT Vision, or a BTV251 error whilst trying to load On Demand content from BT Vision on YouView please accept our apologies - we're working to get this fixed asap.

Sorry Nigel but its not fixed and when it is (by BT 2nd line who only work in the daytime) the issue comes back !
What can be done to stop this again  - sterp 1 I suggest give the Indian guys the access to fix the issue when I ring!

Hi LichfieldColin,
I've had a look at this error code and it maps though to a HTTP 500/504 error message. I have seen this in the past whereby a customer had not accepted the youvew service terms.
Please can you try the steps from this page? http://support.youview.com/articles/Self_Service_FAQ/resolution-for-YVM102-1370338045715/?q=resoluti...  - I know it is a different error code which is displayed on screen but it could be the same root cause.

  • Error YVM5001 and BTV 251

    I've had our BT supplied YouView Box for a few weeks but tonight I tried to set up the mobile app on my iPhone and the YouView Box did not provide the 8 digit code when I selected the connection in Device Management, I got an error message YVM 5001to say it could not connect but it was connected to the internet and when I tried to cancel it the box actually locked up and I had to restart it.
    I have checked the software and it is the latest version with one exception
    Manufacturer software:    8.7.0 
    Component Software:      1.1.11 
    Platform Configuration:    257 
    ISP Configuration:           1  (On my box this says 27)
    I have tried to manually update but all I get is a message that the software is up to date.
    When I tried to select BT Vision from the main menu I got error BTV 251
    This has worked in the past but today was the first time I tried it since the last software update at the beginning of December
    Anyone else with this issue but more imprtantly a solution?

  • YouView Error BTV-251 & Vision Plus Charging For c...

    I run both boxes by Ethernet cable, the vision box started to charge for content so naturally thought my account had been disabled.  Went to the vision box and got the dreaded Error BTV-251.  Tried rebooting the box & my hub.  Tried to update the software manually, still no good.  
    Phoned India.  After a few tests, eventually got to the maintenance mode to download the software from scratch.  Went through the setup mode and now all is fine.
    Went back to the vision box and it is still charging for content.  Powered off and did a soft reboot.  Hey presto everything is now back to normal.
    For those that don't know, to access the maintenance mode, power off with the switch at the back, as the circle light goes orange press Volume- and when the option to enter comes on press the power switch, all on the box.  It then goes in to the mode where there are 5 or 6 options.  I had to select the 4th one.
    The one strange note I need to watch is that the software for the last week has been saying it has updated everyday! which is weird and could be part of the problem.

  • BTV 251 Error

    I've just had infinity installed today.
    My Youview box shows BT player and the BT logo.
    I don't subscribe to any TV packages at the moment but I should get BT sports, but when I try to access it I get BTV error 251.
    All other demand players work fine.  I've done a maintenance mode reset but still get the message. I have seen others with the problem on here and tried what they say to do, but still get the error.

    But when you add up the costs and commitment (£5 month - min 12 months and one off activation of £35)  you realise that you just a well take up the package that includes a free box.

    you can probably do that online or alternatively over the phone if the online system doesn't offer you the combination you want.
    You should be able to get an Essential package at £5/month  or the Entertainment package at £7/month   (plus the one off activation fee £35). 
    Remember when ordering your TV package to add the BT sports pack - free but needs to be ordered.

    you will see all the (standard) tariff products that BT have.
    You can I believe continue to use your existing retail box and as it has compatible software the services that you subscribe to should be available on that box.

    I'm really sorry about that can you try these steps and let me know if they help?
    If you still see the error message then try restarting your equipment by following these steps:
    First, restart your BT Home Hub
    Wait for the broadband light on your Hub to go blue
    Restart your YouView box, using the power switch on the back of the box
    Now check if you still receive the error
    Check your software version is up to date. To do this go to Settings > Device Management > Software Update and press OK
    Check your On Demand players are up to date. To do this go to Settings > Device Management > Update On Demand Players and press OK

  • Control G/L account and Cost Center for movement type 251

    Dear Friends,
    I would like to use mov. type 251 for GI for sale and like to control over G/L account and Cost center.
    The G/L account is by default from the valuation class of the the material and if the user will enter wrong G/L
    we had done the customising in OMJJ movement type 251 - Account grouping - Unchecked the check box of column
    "Check account assignment" - Impact is " the system always uses the G/L accounts or account assignments determined automatically"
    I also made default cost center for G/L account and plant wise through OKB9.
    Now I would like to suppress/dispaly the G/L account and cost center - for same I had done Setting in Entry control menu of OMJJ for 251 of field Account control - Value  - "-" field is suppressed. But it is not working.
    Please advise to solve this situation.

    Yes, I have checked in MB1A earlier. We have separate node for Field seletion layout for Enjoy transaction MIGO for mvt type in which the G/L account (KONTO) an Cost center (KOSTL) have only optional or required entry selection.

  • Account determination for movement type 251

    Hi!
    While checking account determination for logistic movements, I find that according to standard customizing, movement type 251 is related to account modification VBR. You can easily see this: OMJJ --> Check movement type --> type "251" --> Select "Account Grouping".
    Now my question: what I don't understand is why VBR and not VAX. GBB-VBR is the transaction key + account modification for internal goods issues (such as consumptions of material) and it's accordingly associated to movements types 201, 261, etc. which seems logical to me since these are internal GI's.
    Now, 251 is IS-Retail movement type to reflect a POS sale, "GI for sales" as the short text indicates, so it is not an internal goods issue but rather an external one, not different from movement type 601, which is a normal sale and is associated to GBB-VAX. GBB-VAX is the transaction key + account modification for sales goods issue.
    I know I could easily copy 251 to create another movement type and assign any account modification to it, that's not the issue. The only problem is that I must explain to my client how account assignments work, and I cannot find a single reason why in standard SAP IS-R an external goods issue (251) is associated with an internal goods issue account modification (GBB-VBR).

    2) then come one step back
    and clik on  gl accounts  there u will find many gl accounts 
    find gl accont no which u have noted in step 1
    there u can find transaction keys
    by doing this u can find which are transaction keys for a perticular movement type

  • BTV getting slower and s l o w e r and s l o ...

    Hi,
    With every upgrade my Silver BTV is getting slower. I used to occasionally get the "Recorded TV is working. Please try later" every now and again, but now I get it almost every time I set up a recording or delete something. I think my record for this to be on the screen is over 20 seconds but 5 - 10 seconds is quite normal. I have done a soft reboot (and obviously BTV decides to do its own really annoying reboot around 7 am some mornings when I want to be able to rewind live BBC Breakfast to 6 am- WHY DOES IT DO THIS?) . This does not help but it least it fixes the other extremely annoying bug where it thinks it is running out of disk space and starts deleting programs when it really has no need to!!!

    The box does not reboot itself at 7am every day at the behest of BT that is not normal behaviour.
    I think you really ought to fo  a hard reset and clear everything off your hard drive and see if it solves your problem.
    If it does not then you are I think looking at a slowly dying box which needs to be replaced.
    Factory Reset
    Switch off the Vision+ box at the mains socket
    Hold down the front panel OK and down arrow buttons
    Switch on the power to the Vision+ box
    Allow the box to start up (about 15 seconds)
    Release the OK and down arrow buttons
    The Vision+ box will then contact the servers to get a new copy of its firmware
    This will take around 30 minutes

    Word documents don't have a fixed page layout; Word reflows freely if it wants. This isn't normally a problem unless things like typing page numbers is done; avoid that.

  • Using a black BTV box on a YouView account

    Hi, 
    I have a YouView box from BT and subscribe to the essentials package (even though there is nothing really packaged to speak of!)
    I've recently been given a black BT Vision box. I thought it might be 'just work' as I effectively have a BTV subscription and of course BT Broadband. However that seems to not be the case. It powers up and pops up with an error saying something along the lines of 'don't try to use the box before your activation date'. Annoyingly it won't work as a basic freeview box either. It seems crazy that BT have stopped them working as even a basic receiver. 100s if not 1000s of them will probably end up being landfilled because of their pettiness. 
    Does anyone think I will have any luck getting this to work? I guess calling BT isn't going to get me anywhere? Should I just rip the hard drive out, sell the remote and junk the rest?

    It actually updated itself several times when I plugged it in. It doesn't seem to have made any difference. Although the updates didn't come immediately one after another. There would sometimes be a couple of reboots in between. I may fire it up again and see if there are any more.

  • BTV Config For Viewing In Another Room

    I'm intent on getting the best workaround for my AV set-up at home so I can view BTV in the bedroom.
    At the moment, I'm using BTV HDMI & Optical out via an AV receiver to my main television in the living room.
    If I were to run SCART - SCART to the second room, would BTV output via SCART, if I changed the screen aspect ratio settings to 16:9 Standard Definition before going to bed?
    I'm thinking this may provide me with a better solution than BTV SCART out to a video recorder and the video recorder RF out to the bedroom telly, which, incidently, DOESN'T have any HDMI inputs (only SCART, DVI-I and RF).

    Hey guilbo a quick update to let you know the BTV box does indeed output via HMDI and the SCART at the same time.
    To date, I'm sitting on the fence regarding which way to go as I'm having great difficulty trying to get BTV to display component via my Sony STR-DG700 receiver and onto the TV.
    I'm waiting on feedback about my receiver woes (via another forum) before I move this forward.
    Incidentally, my bedroom TV when connected to the BTV SCART output appears to display 1080i via SCART. As you'll see via the attached picture, the options I have for my bedroom TV SCART settings are:
    AV1 Signal Type - Video/RGB Auto or S-Video or RGB or YCrCb or YPrPb

    Although my iMac should be idling, the processor is reving up to over 70%. Culprit is a process called md import, process id is 251...it uses over 20 MB of real memory and 90 MB of virtual memory
    Parent process is launchd (1)
    How can I find out what that is?

    Yes. As C Ogle says, this is the spotlight indexing process at work. It fires up every time you boot from a different volume, too, and indexes everything afresh on any other drives that may be connected, unless you turn it off. You are seeing it because you have been going through your attempts to get that external drive to boot I would guess.

    Thanks a lot for the response.
    That parameter is right now set to "0".
    But on reading the documentation for that parameter, it says you should change it only if SAP recommends you to do so.
    We checked in our other systems as well and all that is set to "0" as well.
    Will that be Ok to change the parameter to a different value?
    If yes, what is the value to be used?

    I thook over the function of the WSUS admin.
    We have WSUS 3.2.7600.251 running on a Windows Server 2008 R2.
    We only have XP , VISTA and Seven clients.
    In future we will have Windows 8 clients and Windows Server 2012.
    1. How can I update the WSUS to the latest version? Can this be done by Windows Update on the server or is it a manual KB?
    2. I want to setup a downstream server. That gets the approvals from the main server. Do the servers all need to have the same version? Cause the new server has all updates via Windows Update so the main server needs to be updated right?
    3. I have done a cleanup on our server. This reduced the Data of WSUS from 270 GB to 150. The WSUS metadata export is now 50 mb instead of over 2GB. Does the database needs to be optimized now?
    4. I have 27000 updates in the WSUS for XP, VISTA, 7 with 7 languages is that normal?
    4. How long will WSUS 3.X will be supported?

    WSUS 3.0 (SP2) + KB2734608:     Build 3.2.7600.256
    WSUS 3.0 (SP2) + KB2828185:     Build 3.2.7600.262
