Budget bottom up in CJ30

Hi experts,
I would like to ask if there is a possibility to revaluate values in cj30 in bottom up sequence. There is no bottom up check in budget profile maintenance screen (in planning profile such a check exists). Is the only possibility to use exit SAPLKBPB? Anyone try to do it? Thank you in advance.

Assign budget is three time of overall Budget in T-code CJ30

Dear Sir,
I am facing a problem in my one WBS of project that when i am seeing the assign amount in cj30 it is looking three times of my current budget but another reports like cje0 & ALR. reports it is seeing perfect value i can't understand how it's can happened.
Pls. advice.

Hi,
According to the SAP Performance assitant:
"Assigned consists of commitment and actual postings. In PS, it also includes plan values of assigned networks and orders."
so when you are in Tcode CJ30 goto EXtras>Availability control->Analysis.
this will help you understand the Assigned budget.
I will sugrest to Run Tcode:CJEN in case you have changed the AVAC settings after allocating the budget.

Config for Cost & budgeting at activity level and WBS element level in PS

Dear GURU's,
please suggest me how to do the spro configuration for budgeting and costing, here my requirement is I need to do cost planning and budgeting at WBS element level and Activity level. We two deferent types of projects.

Hi Bhanu,
Cost planning in projects can be done through two techinques:
I. Manual cost planning (at WBS level)
1. Overall planning (Struture-oreiented planning)
2. Detailed planning (Cost element planning)
3. Unit costing
4. Easy cost planning form
II. Automatic cost planning using networks and assigned orders
For customizing: Use transaction OPUV and enter the required entries for cost planning.
Budget can do only at WBS level. For configuration do the following steps:
1. Create Budget profile - OPS9
2. Assign Budget profile in Project profile - OPSA
3. Then allot budget to your project - CJ30

Budget availabilty control error

Dear Gurus,
I am facing problem while doing time sheet booking at WBS ELement. System gives error "Budget exceeded for the WBS (Error no:BP 603)"
The steps I follow are as under:
1. I created a project in CJ20N
2. Budgeted the project in CJ30
3. Released Budget in CJ32
4. The settings of the budget profile are such that when I release the budget, Availability Control gets activated.
5. Released the project
6. In CAT2, I post actual hours and give reference of the reciever WBS of the project.
Now, in CAT7, when I try to transfer to CO, system gives me the error:
"Item 001 WBS xxxx BUDGET EXCEEDED (error no. BP 603)"
Same thing happens if I try to settle a work order on the WBS and any FI posting
But it allows to post costs for Goods issue.
In tolerance limit settings, the usage is 100% and "All activity grps " is selected

It seems to be the budget is increased once ur doing CAT7.. so increase the Budget in the WBS element and try to post it again..

Budget assignment on WBS / Project

Hi Experts,
We are using WBS for the settlement of the Order.
If I to want to restrict on some specified Budget, where we can do that? WBS or Project WBS.
And, will it restrict error on Order settlement if the Budget of settlement is more than assigned Budget?

Hello!
You can allocate budget on WBS element. Then assign this WBS element in account assignemnt of maintenance order. If you
are exceeding budget limits then system will not allow you to post the actuals (Reservation, Service entry sheet, GR of PO for
non-stock items).
You may allocate budget in t code CJ30. You can also change the budget limit here.
Please reply if there is any doubt.

Budget Exceeded Issue - Activated budget profile for existing project

Dear Experts,
I have a Project and not using any budget profile, already actual data exist only in CJI3 no data in CJI5.
Now I assigned Budget Profile in that project.
While entering Budget in T-code CJ30, I can see values in assigned values for a wbs elements.
Example -
WBS Element - XXXXXX-02 - 2000 (Assigned) - Here Budget Profile not assigned in the project
Same WBS Element - Once Budget Profile assigned, when am assigning same 2000 budget am getting budget exceeded issue.
If I give 2500 I am not getting any errors, My tolerance as only Warning message.

Hi Pavan,
As soon you enter your budgeting fig the availability control triggers, this check your assignment with available budget.this the reason you are getting error as you say there are already actual posting in CJI3.In this you need to balance first the fig which is appear in assigned column in CJ30.
Its a good practice to give budget first release it & then start procurement,confirmation etc.
Check this in budget profile availability control.

Project System - Negative Budgeting

Hi All,
I know it's kind a weird but my client want to implement Negative Budget at the start of the Project. Their purpose is to project recovery of Costs for Constructions initially accounted as expense but may later be sold for profit.
Is their a way to input a Negative Value at the start of the Project using any Budget Transaction in PS (CJ30/CJ36/CJ37).

        The clent is investing first then he is get rvenue by selling product.
           For the investment you should create Investment project and take the approved budget by CJ30 and the release it by CJ32.And finaly make Asset for this by settelment.
                                                                                Then you should make the Coustomer Project for that you should get revenue .So CP you have to suggest.
                                                           The IP and Cp is two diffrent things.Suggest your client to do so.

Hi, When entering budgets for Projects/WBS (CJ30) and cost planning (CJ40) there is alot of duplication in entering the data. Does anyone know a way we could upload the required amounts in some way?

When you use integrated planning in PS you can settle this to cost planning!
When not you can create a LSMW for the upload and use one file

Budget Control: CJ30

Hi Experts
I use CJ30 for original budget proposal by project manager and CJ32 for release by Top Management.
Once after allocation of budget using transaction CJ30, subsequent additions or deletions shall be carried out using budget updates only (suppliment, return, transfer) etc.
But still i am able to edit in CJ30. Is there any setting to make the values uneditable for a wbs for which the original budget is released.

you can use user status to lock the original budget once the budget is realesed. Create user status with business transactional control Budgeting disallowed.

Send mail if original budget was changed ( CJ30 )

Hi,
Is there a BADI, Customer Exit or something else that allows me to send a mail to the project manager if the budget was changed in transaction CJ30?
A project member changes a budget in a subordinated WBS-Element for example. The project responsible has to be informed about that.
I don't mean availability control.
I've thougt about an workflow too. But I found no business object or an event.

U can try below soltuion.
If you have configured SAP connect ( Tcode : Scot ) , you will be able to send mails from yr SAP system.
Then you can decide whether you want change the standard program to trigger the mail while the budget is changed or schedule a custom program which checks whether budget has been changed and triggers a mail to concerned people.

i have assign a budget in cj30 when i am creating a pr or po the current budget is increased by the value of pr or po.
why system is behaving like that?
