Budget checking for Purchase Order

Hello All Experts,
Project Availability control: Tolerance limits
on All activity groups - warning message for 101%
on Purchase requisition - warning message for 101%
on Purchase Order - error message for 101%
1. Now we created a project with 5000 budget and Availability control activated.
2. We assigned material to activity and created Purchase requisition for 6000. Here system issued message there is error in commitment and allowed us to save the project.
3. We created Purchase order for 6000, system is allowing to create, that is any thing less then PR value, even though it is more than 101% and suppose to give the error.
How do we over come this situation and make the system to look Budget value not the PR Value.

Hi,
you have maintained activity groups ++ so system is considering All activity groups first for budget check instead of individual activity groups(PR,PO...). remove the ++ activity group and maintain individually(PR,PO,GI...) and check.

    We have NO problems with budget check for the SC. But when we create a PO and exceeds the budget no message are displayed. The only thing that happens is that the PO gets status "error in process". But if we change the PO (still exceeding budget) we receive a correct message. Is this a program error?

    Did you do budget check while creating sc? what did it says?

  • Budget Check in Purchase Order Delivery Schedule

    Hi there,
    I have created a Purchase Order with 50 units to be delivered in year 2009 and 30 units to be delivered in year 2010. An internal order is assigned to the purchase order, system prompt error message due to no budget maintained for year 2010.
    Just wonder if it is possible to have the budget availability control check deactivate for year 2010, but still active for year 2009?
    Please advise.

    The overall is not selected. It is now checking annual budget, but due to year 2010 has no budget assigned, therefore, system prompt error message due to budget exceeded. I.e., 0 budget in year 2010 vs. the planned delivery of 30units or $30,000.
    Anyway to set the system not to check budget for year 2010 but do check for year 2009.

  • Budget check for PM orders with main and sub-projects

    We have a scenario wherein we have created a main project and a sub-project. We have linked the sub-project to main project. We have also assigned budget to the main project. We have created a PM order wherein we are trying to enter the costs by entering the hours of work. We have configured the budget profile and set the tolerance limites and assigned to main project. The requirement here is we need to have have costs check againt the budget that been available in the main project. But the system is checking the budget of the sub-project. Please share if any specific setting is required to check the budget of main project instea sub-project.

    I also double checked, you are right there is no forum for PM, I dont think I could suggest much since there isnt a dedicated forum, but you can try posting this query in the ABAP forum probably some abap'r who has worked with PM module should have a look. Also if possible try to connect with one of the moderators out here and ask for assistance in starting something for PM

  • Budget check for PO based on delivery

    Hi,
    Can some guide how to configure budget check for purchase order based on supply schedule.
    This could be that you have raised a Purchase order for 12 Quantity and the delivery of the same is at 1 per month for 12 months.Budget should  be checked for one quantity for one month and not based on Purchase order which is for 12 quantity.
    We are using Former budgeting.

    I'm afraid you will have to create 12 items within the same PO and assign different delivery date to every one of them; then, the budget will be affected accordingly.

    Hey Gurus,
    We are running the availability check for Purchase orders and the user group is wondering if there is a standard Missing Parts report in SAP similiar to transaction CO24 for Purchase Orders so that they can view all of the Purchase orders with missing parts.
    As a side note,  we are using subcontracting purchase orders.

    Hello all,
    When attempting to do funds check for Purchase Order the following error occurs.
    ERROR
    Procedure PSA_BC_XLA_PUB.Budgetary_Control returns an error without any details to the calling procedure PO_ENCUMBRANCE_POSTPROCESSING.execute_gl_call.Please contact your support representative.
    For this issue i did below steps:
    1. Navigate to System Administrator Responsibility > System > Profiles
    2. Set the profile option "PSA: R12 Upgrade Date" with the date format as mentioned below:
    MM/DD/YYYY HH24:MI:SS
    I changed like this 04/01/2011 02:32:37
    close and reopen the applicaiton. still its giving the same error.
    Please guide me to resolve this issue.

    Please find the logic.
    ATP quantity
    Specifies the available quantity from each receipt that can still be used to cover further requirements.
    Use
    The ATP quantity is calculated as follows:
    Initially, the ATP quantity of a new receipt is the complete receipt quantity. During the availability check according to ATP logic, the system only takes into account receipts that lie before a requirement. A requirement first reduces the most recent receipt (and thus the ATP quantity of this receipt). If a rest quantity remains for this receipt, this quantity is the new ATP quantity for this receipt and it can be used to cover a further requirement.
    If one receipt does not completely cover the requirement, the system reduces further receipts and their ATP quantities until the requirement has been completely covered.
    If no further ATP quantity is available to cover a requirement or if a requirement can only be partially covered, then this shortage quantity is displayed in the requirements line as a negative ATP quantity.

  • PO 'No goods receipt possible for purchase order'

    Hi gurus!
    While trying to make Confirmation of a PO in the SRM Portal the user is getting the error 'No goods receipt possible for purchase order'
    The scenario used is Classic, so PO is replicated directly to the R/3 system.
    Any idea why this is happening?

    About PO type i think it's EC (doc_type?), in R/3 is shown as EBP PO
    I checked in backend system, in the item details > Delivery and the 'Goods Receipt' is checked.

  • Problem in creating a SyncBo for Purchase Order BAPIs

    Hello Everybody,
    I am trying to create a smart sync application for Purchase Orders.
    I have used standard bapis like BAPI_PO_GETDETAIL AND BAPI_PO_CREATE1.
    I have developed my own wrapper functions using these std bapis. For the PO creation i only plan to insert the necessary and mandatory data. The problem i face is that some of the tables in the create bapi which are mandatory for a PO creation are freezed in the SyncBo.
    Tables like POITEMX, POADDRDELIVERY, POSCHEDULE and structure POHEADERX are all required for the creation of a PO. Without this minimum data a PO cannot be created.
    After i have created the syncBo, on the mapping screen i can only see these tables under the create BAPI. But i am not able to perform the mapping of their fields. These are non-editable or i must say that they are freezed.
    And if i cannot map them then i cannot pass data for them from the client. Although i can do the mapping for the table PO_ITEM and the structure PO_HEADER.
    I hope i am able to expplain my problem. Kindly get back to me if i am not clear. Any sort of help is welcome.

    Hope you are aware of the prerequisites for creating the BAPI Wrappers.
    If you want to insert some data into the Business Object, then you have to include
    GETLIST, GETDETAIL and CREATE Bapi Wrappers.
    I think in your case,
    You might not have mapped those fields in your GETLIST Bapi Wrapper.Just check whether you have mapped those fields that are necessary for PO creation in your GETLIST and GETDETAIL BApi wrapper mapping screen.
    Those fields you have mapped in the GETLIST and GETDETAIL BAPI wrappers will be visible (for selection - checkboxes will be editable) in the mapping screen for CREATE BAPI Wrapper.
    So first of all, you have to map fields there in the mapping screens for GETLIST and GETDETAIL Bapi Wrappers...

    While doing return to vendor transaction using BAPI 'BAPI_GOODSMVT_CREATE' error 'No goods receipt possible for purchase order 'PO#" "Lineitem"' was encountered. As checked, all data are correct including the plant, sloc, PO#, stocks, batch.
    Please kindly advice on how to resolve the issue.

    Few things which immediately comes to my mind.
    1. Check if the PO is released?
    2. Check if the confirmation control is properly set in Confirmations tab of item details of a PO.
    3. Check if the Goods Receipt indicator is ticked at item level of PO.

    My guess, is that this material is not really maintained in the Plant '1001', to be on the safer side, get the exact values from EKPO itself, also check if this material exists in the table MARC for the plant and storage location.

    Replace the above hardcodes to something like this to get the actual value from EKPO.

    Is the WBS is not released or blocked.
