BUDGET LOGIC TO BE IMPLEMENTED AT WBS LEVEL WITH 10% TOLERANCE

Budget Logic check at each WBS level allowing 10% tolerance and the project level budget to remain constant
The project structure or the project hierarchy is not fixed. The requirement is that the released budget should be allowed 10% above the present released budget. Also despite this change the budget at the project level should remain constant. The 10% surplus has to be adjusted from the other WBS if they have spare budget and if thereu2019s no surplus budget in any WBS then the system should throw an error. Available budget has to be checked against the PR/ PO creation each time so ensure that Purchase is not made in excess to the budget allocated. Procurement happens thru MM/PS both

You can activate Budget availibility control aginst Overall Budget / Released Budget.
Infact, Budget availability control functionality is designed at WBS level only.
All you need to do is create required Budget profile and assign the same to your project profile.

Raw Materail Quantity blockage on wbs level

HI Guru's
I am currently on the ETO based project where in on a particular WBS i may have no of production orders. Now client want the quantilty blockage for the raw material consumption in the order.
I know through availabilty control i can block the cost consumption.
Over here client want for a particuler production order the raw material quantity as well as the cost shud be blocked at wbs level.
ex raw material-- 2000kg and budget for production order -
5000000
so do we have any concept for the same?

Logical design to implementation & vise versa?

Does Designer support transfering logical design to implementation...and vise versa?
Does Designer support transfering logical design to implementation...and vise versa?
Is Oracle Designer a pure modeling tool doesn't support transferring logical design to implementation...and vise versa?
Or there's a way to pull existing oracle database table structure into Oracle Designer and shown as diagram? The database and designer are same version 9i.
And the other way around...to make the design of table structure from Designer model diagram becomes the real tables in database?

Designer supports transferring logical design to technical design to implementation and retrofitting implementation (an existing database structure) to technical design and retrofitting technical design to logcal design.
So the answer to all your questions is YES.

I have create two activities(one internal and other External) under one WBS Element.
I have complete the process of confirmation(for Internal activity) and Purchase process for external activity.
Now i can see both the planned and actual costs of those activities.
Now i want the see the costs at WBS Level, which is now happening.
pl guide me, where i can see and what will be the process.

You can see all the Reports in project system under-
Logistic->Project System->Information System->Financial->Varius reports are given there
you can use Report-

How to implement Bursting(Row level security) in Xcelsius

Hi,
We are using Xcelsius 2008. We have created xcelsius dashboard using Qaaws but for authentication in qaaws we are suing enterprise authentication and default user.
Now in my dashboard i have one combo box wich gives data fro diffrent states, now i need to restrict the user to see the state values. I implement the row level security in universe, when i create webi report and view that reprot in infoview, the row level security works. But when i publish the dashboard to infoview the row level security doesn't work.
We are uisng XO 3.1 with SSO on IIS. So how and what are the diffrent option available to implement the row level security in Xcelsius Dashboard.

Were you able to implement ? I have a requirement to use the same dashboard for 5 regional users.
Row level security works.
combo box intial value is Global , when I login as North America user, combo still shows Global but it will have the value of North America.
i am curious to know how you implemeted this?

Copy project description (defined in WBS Level 2) automatically to activity

Hi Gurus,
How to copy project description (defined in WBS Level 2) automatically to activity name/description?
For example:
WBS element (Level 2): "Telephone System Replacement"
When create a new Activity, the description will be: "Telephone System - xxxxxxxx"
The first 16 characters "Telephone System" from the WBS Level 2 are automatically populated to Activity Short Text field.
How to realize that?

In OPSN, I am not sure which one to choose: Network Header or Network Activity, for my case. Looks like there are no standard substitution fields available. Could you please check it out for me? If no, how to use an exit? Is this exit the same as a user exit used for enhancement?

My probem is that The budget is consumed two times of WBS element . The
first consumption is purcharse requesition (ME51N) and before the
second consumption is funds precommitment .
For us the wbs elements WBS are statistical budget .
how do we consume one times ?

Settlement profile WBS level 3 to level 2

Good Day All,
Please advice, is there any configuration to automatically create settlement receiver to WBS to WBS .
We have requirement which is to make automatically generate settlement receiver from WBS level 3 to WBS level 2.
Our structure for example :
Proj Definition
WBS level 1
WBS level 2
WBS level 3 (automatically generate WBS level 2)
Is there any configuration in settlement profile or default rule?

Write authorization of ACL at WBS level

Dear All,
We activated ACL (No inheri.) at WBS level.
According to my understanding in "write" authorization, we can just change the PS object but we can't delete the object.
We assigned "Write" Authorization to one user, but he is able to delete the object.
Please guide for the same.

How to load Cj01 create project for WBS level 1,2 and 3

Dear All
I want to load the project for WBS element.I had used IDOC project01 for the same but I am getting error as 'SaveReplica'method was not called up via ALE.I am presently trying with LSMW recording for tcode CJ01 in order to populate the
wbs levels 1 ,2 and 3 since the hierachy is not fixed i:e there is no limit as to how many 2 or 3 wbs levels are there so how shall i proceed with recording.If any body has migrated Projects for WBS elements please do share me.In my recording i am getting error 'Do not enter a level greater than 2'.is it that i have to carry t recording for each level seperately.
Tried with Bapi Bapi_project_maintain and all Bapis related to it most of the cases i am getting
error as to no initialization created though having executed Bapi_Ps_Initialization.

Hi Somnath,
The BAPI, BAPI_PROJECT_MAINTAIN should work for any levels of requirement..and you dont need to initialize it. First, go through the documentation given in the SE37 transaction code. It will explain all. Just concentrate on the reference number. If you see in the example given there, two wbs elements are being created.
Then you have to use methods like create,save...unlike other BAPI's.
Just go through the documentation once.

If we assign Functional area at project level, can we change functional area of WBS?
if it is possible then is it possible to assign/change functional area of WBS after releasing the same?

Hi Surej,
FA in project is in Basic tab and FA in WBS is in Assignement tab. Both functional area for Project or WBSes could be different. All this functional area could be changed. However, please note if you changed the FA once the data is posted into the WBS, the system will give a warning message not to change the FA. This FA in master data is to ease data entry. The FA will be copied over to FA area field during data entry. In fact, you can change the FA during data entry.

I am agreed with your answer but when we looking at WBS window at the bottom you can see the tab called "Planning Resources" . Can anybody will suggest me what is a use of that funcnality & how we can use that (Note:- There is no option for assignment in that tab)

How to implement copy paste functionality with IE

I am working on jdev 11.1.1.6.0, I have requirement to implement copy & paste functionality with IE Browser in ADF table. I have followed below link to implement the functionality.

I can't tell. What I can tell is that the code in the sample you reference for sure doesn't cause this - but it doesn't help you I guess.
