Budget Structure: Create Posting Addresses

Hi
I have a unique scenario where in for one FM area "ABC", Fund is activated and made mandatory for BCS(IMG:Activate Account Assignment Elements in Budget Control System).
For another FM area "XYZ", the fund is made "not used" in IMG "Activate Account Assignment Elements in Budget Control System".
Now while creating Budgeting Addresses for FM area = XYZ, system does not show "Fund" in selection criteria, as desired.
But while creating Posting Addresses for FM area = XYZ, system shows "Fund" in selection criteria.
Now if i try to create Posting addresses by giving only Fund Center and Commitment Item, it throws an error "Enter Fund".
By deactivating "Fund" from global setting(IMG:Activate Account Assignment Elements), system does not show "Fund" in selection criteria but this is not desired as other FM area uses "Fund" attribute.
Please help.

Actually i got that thought once, but then thought that if there is some other way where specifically we can deactivate fund, just the way its getting done for Budgeting Addresses.
Also the second thought was about one to one internal assignment of Budgeting addresses and Posting Addresses, then system would take "Fund = Blank" and make the assignment.
I assume there will not be any other way to deactivate fund for posting addresses for one FM area and keep it activated for posting addresses for another FM area.

  • Budget Structure, Posting Address and Budgeting Address Error

    Hi All,
    I am having a big issue with Budgeting and posting of expenditure against budgets. Whenever, I try to create a vendor invoice for my system where FM has been configured I get the following error.
    FM account assignment Grant/Fund/Fund Center/Commitment Item/Functional Area/Funded Program cannot be posted in posting ledger 9A.
    Message no. FMBS123
    Please if anybody has any idea of how I can resolve this, I will be very grateful. I understand that it has to do with posting addresses and budgeting structure but I have searched so much and could not find a way to create a budget structure or assign the posting address to it. Please this is urgent and I will be very happy if it is resolved as soon as possible.

    Budget/posting addresses are maintained via FMBSBO/FMBSPO transactions. Before creating a new posting address you'd better consult with someone who has a grasp of your budget activities.

  • Creat ECM budget structure from current org structure

    Hi all ,
    When we are creating budget heirarchy using "PECM_GENERATE_BUDGET", we want to create it from org structure that is effective on a particular date and not for all org assignments.
    For example :
    For budget effective 01/01/2011 to 12/31/2011.  We may want to create Budget structure from org structure that effective 12/31/2011.
    ( The standard transactcion "PECM_GENERATE_BUDGET" creats structures for all the effective dates )
    Let's say, I have Org units Org1 and Org2 at the same level. Org3 reports to Org1 from 01/01/2011 to 11/20/2011. But effective 12/01/2011, Org 3 reports to Org 2.
    01/01/2011 to 11/30/2011 ->  Org3 reports to Org1
    12/01/2011 to 12/31/9999 ->  Org3 reports to Org2
    When I run ""PECM_GENERATE_BUDGET"" this generates a budget heirarchy, that shows Org3 reporting to both O1 and O2,
    whereas we want Org3 to be just shown in the hierarchy of Org2 ( effective 12/31/2011).
    I see that the FM  "'HR_ECM_GET_OBJECT_STRUCTURE" and "HR_ECM_BUILD_BUDGET_STRUC" generate budget structure, by taking the begin and end date of budget period( 01/01/2011 to 12/31/ 2011) into account  to create the org structure.  But we just want the latest structure effective on a particular date.
    Has any faced this kind of scenario/requirement as this seems to be the standard budget creation functionality.

    Hi - When you are creating budget sturcture based on org. unit the system will create budget structure on the basis of defined budget period
    Pls. try delimiting 01/01/2011 to 11/30/2011 -> Org3 reports to Org1 relationship and create budget structure. I feel you should be fine then.
    which EHP are you in? If you are using EHP 5 its give option to generate top down or bottom up budget structure.

    Is it required to create budget structure? and make Budget address check active in version. I understand  we can restrict the budgetable addresses. In what way does it serve the business purpose.
    I am thinking of implementing BCS without budget structure ( bud address / posting address etc.) in place. Am I going far off from the standard, Any suggestions?

    Hi Chris,
    Nothing is unstandard here; in 40% of projects I implemented FM in, the client preferred not to maintain budget structure following our advice as it was not in the business requirements.

  • Is there a way to use "*" in the Budget Structure BCS

    Dear Gurus,
    We are migrating from FBS to BCS (in ECC6).
    In FBS we had a Budget structure and we used the character " * " for the commiment items (the control is between Fund and Fund center)
    We activated BCS and we have now 4 axes with the Funded Program.
    We want to keep the control between Fund and Fund center and we planned to use " * " for the commiment item and " * " for the funded program.
    It seems impossible in FMBSPO and FMBSPO_MULT.
    We look at the Customizing, OSS but we did'nt find any clue.
    We try to fill the Budget structure with the posting adresses ==> we have more than 23 million lines (and it wasn't with all the master data), the processing time is unbelievable and we're afraid for the future (how to do if we create one new commiment item?)
    Was anybody already confronted with the problem? How did you deal with that point?

    The answer to your question is no.
    That said, and I don't want to risk my install at the moment to test it, I think you could go to the library directory, create a new folder (category) called "All Templates," copy all the individual files from all the categories into this one, and then select that category - thereafter that category should load.

    I'm new to Enterprise Compensation Management (ECM Module).
    I need to know how we create a budget structure for org units? How we assign amount to the budget structure.
    I found one program 'RHECM_BUDGET_GENERATE' which generates the budget structure, but it doesn't assign the amount. So how to assign the budget amount. Which transaction we use for the same ? or Is there any FM which assigns the amount to the budget structure? I am trying to enhance the program 'RHECM_BUDGET_GENERATE'  so that it assigns the budget amount also.

    I'm fuming! Same problem as I like to manually assign location data, esp as I just imported lots of old photos which I recently found on an old drive. They are now on new Photos app, but iPhoto, otherwise I would use the latter to assign geo data as before. It seems very complicated but maybe I could delete from iPhoto, somehow import in to iPhotos, then import from iPhoto to Photos. Would that work?
    Lots of my photos have ALSO lost their geo data and their face data due to the fact that somehow my new "Photos" library suddenly decided to put 4000 odd duplicates in the new library imported from iPhoto. I then ran a duplicate-finding application in the new photos library, managed to remove most of the duplicates, however most of the photos that then remained had lost their face data which took ages to put on in the first place!!! (Perhaps the ones I deleted had the location nd face data I wanted and the software kept the duplicate version. I don't know...)
    Plus I am having a nightmare with the new automatic uploading photos to icloud application that runs in the background if enabled.. It says its still uploading  but doesn't appear to have got past a thousand in last few days and just 'stuck' on this amount, despite saying it is uploading automatically. My iOS devices only show a fragment of what is on my mac.
    O well!

  • Budget Structure depth

    Hello All
    In the configuration for Compensation Management, while doing the Budget Structures,I  have made one budget object structure for the merit increase process.
    Do i have to make one budget for each of the org units involved for the full org structure?
    Or would one budget unit be enough which would have the org unit  as parent org unit ?
    I see the option for specifying the depth of the budget structure, what would I populate in that?

    Hi,
    Each Budget structure will have one to one relationship with the Org struture.
    So if you keep the Depth blank or 0, the Budget units will be created with one to one relationship till the lowest org unit.
    SAP recommends to create the Budget unit from Root Org unit.
    Once the Budget structure is created you need to fill the Budget values into the Budget structure for further processing ..and once the Budget is checked & released , its available to the Managers for planning.

    Say per exmple : in UAT phase project ... need to update posting periods with diffrent dates .. meaning of that  we need see all periods like monthly jobs ,yearly jobs also ...

    If you have several company codes and want your users only to be able to open and close periods
    (transaction OB52) belonging to their posting period variant (=company code). 
    First you configure the Posting Variant :-
    1) FI- FI Global Settings - Document - Posting Periods - Define Variants for Posting Periods 
    2) FI- FI Global Settings - Document - Posting Periods - Assign Variants to Company Code
    Second Step:-
    Goto SE11 copy the view V_T001B to ZV_T001B_000X (000X indicate the Posting Variant)
    In Change mode, tabstrips Selection Conditions Insert line 2 with
    Table     Field Name   Operator   Comparative Value    AND/OR

    Save your entries
    Third Step :-
    Goto SE54, Options Generated Objects -> Create
    Authorizations Group  FC31

    Goto SE93, Create a new transaction code ZOB52_000X
    Start object - Transaction with parameters (parameter transaction)

    UPDATE                           X
    Save your entries.
    Now, test your new transaction code ZOB52_000X which will only display the 
    Posting Variant that you have define in your table view.

              The variant for posting periods is defined for every company code. The name of this variant is identical to the company code name. Every company code is allocated to this variant with the same name.
    Path:   IMG > Financial Accounting > Financial Accounting Global settings > Document > Posting Periods > Define Variants for Open Posting Periods.

    delivery adress records can be created with transaction MEAN.
    the number is purely internal.
    In ME21N you can then search by name (you will certainly not know the number)

  • How to create Multiple Address for a single customer

    In tcode Xd01 we create on customer but there we can maintain only one address but sometimes a scenario can be that single customer can have different address .
    How to do that.Any exit is available to create multiple address with creation of single customer.
    This provision is given while creating a Business Partner.Tcode is BP .In this Address Overview tab is there and you maintain multiple address to single Busines partner.
    Same thing can we do for the customer.

    Unfortunately Customers have only one address. However you can use contact persons to store different addresses, or (in the Sales view) you can assign other partner functions with different addresses (e.g. one customer acting as the Sold-to partner may have different Ship-to partners).
    If these options do not meet your requirements, you could extend the customer master data with your own functionality and enhance transaction XD01 with your own screens for holding alternate addresses.

  • Issue while creating posting run in PRFI

    When i try to create posting run for a trip, i get an error message which is as follows: -
    " Table entry not found in table 706K. Argument
    108002     0000000000000000
    Prog. terminated"
    I had created 2 new expense types & when i was trying to create posting run for a trip having these 2 new expense types, i got the above mentioned error message.
    I followed following procedure for creating those 2 new expense types: -
    1) Create Travel Expense Types for Individual Receipts
    2) Created 2 new wage types by copying an existing wage type using table V_512W_T
    2) Assign Wage Types to Travel Expense Types for Individual Receipts
    3) Define Assignment of Wage Type to Symbolic Account
    4) Conversion of Symbolic Account to Expense Account
    Already referred: - Error While posting to FI.
    Please guide me in resolving this issue.

    Problem may be with  Define Assignment of Wage Type to Symbolic Account
    1)  Check again expense type and wage type assignment..
    2)  Then wage type and symbolic account assignment
    Also check weather problem is coming with both expense types or with single one..

    Can I automate the creation of a cluster in LabView using the data structure created in an auto generated .CSV, C header, or XML file?  I'm trying to take the data structure defined in one or more of those files listed and have LabView automatically create a cluster with identical structure and data types.  (Ideally, I would like to do this with a C header file only.)  Basically, I'm trying to avoid having to create the cluster by hand, as the number of cluster elements could be very large. I've looked into EasyXML and contacted the rep for the add-on.  Unfortunately, this capability has not been created yet.  Has anyone done something like this before? Thanks in advance for the help.

    You can try LabVIEW scripting, though be aware that this is not supported by NI. 
     Wow!  Thanks for the quick response!  We would use this cluster as a fixed data structure.  No need to change the structure during runtime.  The cluster would be a cluster of clusters with multiple levels.  There would be not pattern as to how deep these levels would go, or how many elements would be in each.   Here is the application.  I would like to be able to autocode a Simulink model file into a DLL.  The model DLL would accept a Simulink bus object of a certain data structure (bus of buses), pick out which elements of the bus is needed for the model calculation, and then pass the bus object.  I then will take the DLL file and use the DLL VI block to pass a cluster into the DLL block (with identical structure as the bus in Simulink).  To save time, I would like to auto generate the C header file using Simulink to define the bus structure and then have LabView read that header file and create the cluster automatically.   Right now I can do everything but the auto creation of the cluster.  I can manually build the cluster to match the Simulink model bus structure and it runs fine.  But this is only for an example model with a small structure.  Need to make the cluster creation automated so it can handle large structures with minimal brute force. Thanks!

    for printing company address .
    buy using joins
    like
    u have to define in form interface as.
    comp_adrc  like adrc.
    and in print program write the joins,
    and in compay details window.
    select the text window and in that give
    &comp_adrc-name1&
    &comp_adrc-city&..
    another method is u can also directly create the address node
    and in that at general attributes tab
    in ADDRESS NUMBER give the specific number
    or global variable which u can taken address in that.

              I installed TCS 4.0 licensed suite. Due to some reason I need to delete Adobe PDF from Devices and Printers. Since then I am unable to create post script file using framemaker. I have tried uninstalling and installing TCS 4.0 again, but all in vain. What should I do now?

    If you delete critical parts of Acrobat there will be problems. Try doing a REPAIR of Acrobat Pro (from the Programs Control Panel), maybe it can undo the damage.
