Budget Updation (commitment,actual) after cost transfer

Hi Gurus
we are going to start one project by next month.For that we are finalizing wbs element etc.this project will be in separate plant.
but initial expenses like land acquisition,statutory expenses are already booked against cost center.now we want to transfer the cost in cost center in to wbs elements.I know this can be done via KB11N. But the problem is when i am transferring cost budget details in CJ31 are not updating.means there is no effect in budget (commitment,actual,assigned)
My client wants to update commitment,actual in CJ30 after cost transfer from cost center to WBS
Can anyone help me on this?

Hi Hari,
The expenses transferred to WBSE will be in the form of actuals which can be seen in "Assigned" tab of txn. CJ30.
As per my understanding costing is already carried out in your project & you have used it for budget generation & these actuals were not a part of earlier costing then you can manually update the project cost & copy it again as budget in CJ30.

Ashis,
Company code is not changeable once planning, actuals, commitments or budget values exist. This is independent of the trx you use to change it: it will not be able in CNMASS, in CJ20N etc...
You need to undo any postings before changing the company code.

Configuration for FMTB transfer commitment/actual totals to FI

We use transaction FMTB to transfer commitment totals to FI. Based on specified value types, such as purchase orders or funds reservations, the transaction will reallocate between unallocated fund balance and reserve for encumbrances.
In ECC 6.0, the functionality of this transaction has been expanded. In addition to the above transfer, it can also be used to transfer commitment/actual totals to the Budgetary Ledger. The Budgetary Ledger requires that the Budget Control System is activated. We do not use this functionality. We only wish to continue with the original functionality described in the first paragraph.
The program underlying transaction FMTB has changed, from RFFMTOBL in 4.7, to RFFMTTTOBL in 6.0. The configuration for the transaction has also changed drastically. We have tried everything which makes sense to us, but transaction FMTB is unable to find relevant data in the system. The message is "No suitable records found." We have looked at the contents of table FMIOI and verified that the data does exist in the table for the correct accounting period.
Are any of you familiar with this transaction in ECC 6.0? If so, can you please give me some guidance as to how to configure this transaction? Please be as specific as possible.

Thank you both for your suggestions. I have examined each of them and they do not appear to be related to the problem.
We have a programmer looking at the transaction in debug mode. We do not have a solution yet, but we have found something which may be causing the problem. The program appears to be trying to join two similar but unrelated fields in different tables.
It appears to be trying to join value type FM_WRTTP in table FMIOI (Commitment Documents Funds Management) to BCS value type BUKU_VALTYPE in table FMBL (Funds management budget document lines). Since the values in these two fields will always be different, the join will always return no values.
We have not yet figured out why this is happening.

Ipod will not update from library after transfer from one PC to another?!?

I recently transfered my itunes library from one PC to another using the ipod hard drive and according to the directions listed on this site. All went smooth and roughly 12GB of music transferred. After all music was successfully transfered to the library on the new PC I reconnected my ipod via USB hub and the dialog box popped up asking if I now want to associate my ipod with this new computer. I replied Yes.
As expected the program then deleted all 3000 songs off of my ipod and was supposed to then upload all the songs from my library (all songs were checked) back onto my ipod. For some reason all that happens is it says "update complete" and no songs transfer. I now have 3000+ songs in my library and ZERO on my ipod! I've checked all the default settings to be sure it is set to automatically update, all songs are checked and the box is checked to update checked songs, etc. I've shut down and restarted my PC and even tried several different USB hubs. Also, if relevant, when I connect my ipod the computer itunes recognizes it and it shows up on the itunes screen, but just for a few seconds. After it says it has successfully updated my ipod (I wish...) the little tab which shows "Chris' ipod" then disappears and itunes acts like it doesn't even know a device is connected.
I'm lost - I'd really appreciate any feedback anyone can provide. Thank you in advance!

In iTunes Preferences, did you update the iTunes Library to the new location? In other words, are you pointing to the correct location on the new harddrive for your iTunes Library?

GarageBand error after data transfer that states "This song requires a newer version of GarageBand. Please update to the latest version of GarageBand before opening this song". Please Help!

I recently had a data transfer from my older mac to my newer one. After the transfer I logged into my new account and opened up my GarageBand. It worked perfectly fine, however when I logged into my old account with all my older data that I just transferred over, I could not open my GarageBand files and there is an error that states "GarageBand error after data transfer that states "This song requires a newer version of GarageBand. Please update to the latest version of GarageBand before opening this song".If anyone could please help me with this issue, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank You!

When you transferred your data from your old mac, you may have accidentally transferred an older GarageBand version and either overwritten your newer version, or your old account still has the old GarageBand icon in the Dock.
Search with SpotLight, if you have more than one Garageband version on your new Mac (type "GarageBand" into the SpotLight search field). Does it list more than one GarageBand version? Then delete the older GarageBand.app.
What GarageBand version have you been using at your old mac, and what is the version on your new mac? If it has been bought recently, it should have come with GarageBand '11.

FMJ2 - Transfer of Budget linkedto commitment

Dear All
We only want to carry forward the Open P/O with their budget to next fiscal year.Then I expected that budget linked commitment must be simultaneously transferred with commitment amount when I ran FMJ2 transaction.
But, while the amount of commitment for open P/O has been transferred successfully, the related budget amount for that open P/O was not transferred at all.
So when I run "FMRP_RW_BUDCON" transaction, it shows like this.
Consumable Budget Consumed Budget Available Amount Current Budget
=============== ============== ============= ===========
0 1,000 1,000- 1,000
As you see, the available amount has negative value.
Could anyone advise me where I have a problem for this?*

System pass the budget entry by taking the document type ( MBCF) and Budget Type CFWD in sender & receiver year.
I also run the transaction FMAVCREINIT - Reconstruct , but result remain same.
New Year Result Consumable Budget= "0" Consumed Budget= 1,000, Available Amount=1000- Current Budget=1000, Available Amount is Negative
previous year report, the result are Consumable budget =1000" Consumed Budget = "0" Available Amount ="1000" Current Budget ="0" in this year 1000 become available for consumed.

Will Project Budget be available again after settlement to AUC/final asset?

I would like to know if my project budget will become available again once I settle costs to AUC and to Final asset (or settle directly to final asset w/o AUC).
Letu2019s say my original budget for WBS is 5000, cost was posted to the WBS u2013 4000, now I settle the 4000 cost to AUC (and eventually from AUC to final asset). Will this mean the entire 5000 will be available again since the cost has been settled from WBS to AUC (and eventually fixed asset)?

If you have Budgeted WBS element and than after you does any cost postings against that WBS. you budget get consumed by that actual cost.
however, WBS element is capturing cost for the period of project duration that cost has to transfer to FI/ CO , finally so, at the period-end we does the settlement & transfer taht cost to cost center , PA , asset etc....
So, no point that after settlement your budget will be your initial budget.

Error in Commitment Check - see costing log

I've encountered error when saving after release of wbs. "Error in commitment check (see costing log)", this error hinders me to create PR for several wbs. please advise how to resolve this issue.

I looked everywhere in CJ20N to find this Costing Log and I can't find it or figure out how to open it!!
in my case here I deliberately caused the error by assigning a budget of 95% of the plan --> the plan is all commitment items (material components)
but I want to check that so called costing log and see the errors in it.

And next message says, please disconnect and insert a SIM card in the iPhone, but I tried by different SIM cards.

Authorized reseller or not, it's a gray market phone that must have been bought in the US and shipped to Saudi Arabia. Are you sure it was an authorized iPhone reseller, or was it a general Apple reseller who is not authorized to sell iPhones? Whatever it was, they are violating their agreement with Apple, and, as the phone has FaceTime on it, they are violating KSA law.
However, the good news is that it will work if you remove the Verizon SIM and insert a local SIM - unless they phone is actually a used phone that is locked to some other former owner. Are you sure you have a proper Internet connection? Make sure your iPod is connected to your computer, and you have an Internet connection.
Don't even get me started on the iPod Touch 5G, I actually own an iPod Touch 4G, and I've considered a lot about if I should get the new one. At first look, you might be sold by the features Apple has on their iPod Touch page. It has a taller screen that's a 4-inch Retina Display, has a much better camera with a flash, and comes with iOS 6 preinstalled with Siri. But the real breakthrough comes with the new connector. It's called Lighting, and it's much smaller. But if you have a dock connector that comes with some cars, and maybe a set of speakers or docking stations as alarm clocks, I encourage you not to get the new one. The usage of your old connectors requires a $30 adapter, which is a ridiculous price. And who knows how secure the adapters will be with your docking stations? I personally think Apple has crossed the line. If they are to put a new connector with their new products, they should ship with an adapter in the box, at least at first. This is why I strongly encourage you NOT to get the new 5th generation iPod Touch.
Sorry if I went a little off-topic there, but I wanted to get my point across. For your updating to iOS 6, I reccommend you check out other discussions in the support comunity, and see what other contributors have to say. Or go on Google and search your error messages, possibly someone might've already went through the same problem as you did. I really hope this helped!

So you have these podcasts downloaded and stored in your iTunes library is that correct? However, they will not sync with the device? Are these video or audio podcasts?
How is your Nano currently configured to sync podcasts? You can check this by viewing the iPod's Podcasts configuration tab in iTunes. To view this tab, plug your iPod in and select it from under the Devices section in the left hand pane of iTunes to bring yourself to the Summary tab that now shows to the right. Look for the Podcasts tab along the top and select it. Here you can configure how and what Podcasts are synced.
If you do happen to make any changes from under this tab, be sure to hit the Apply button to sync the updated changes to the Nano.

Budget Category: "Commitment"

Dear Experts,
I need to control, separately but parallel, budget for Actuals and budget for Commitments - for example:
Commitments are to be controlled as multi-year budget, while the Actuals (of these commitments) are to be controlled as annual budget.
Can this be done by defining both budget categories "Payment" and "Commitment" for the same FM Area ?
(I prefer controlling with FM-BCS module only - without PS).
Can you suggest detailed documentation about using "Commitment Budget"?

Hi. You can try do in the next way(It's not a standard solution but works).
Switch budget as overall.
Use FM account assignment e.g. funded program .
Then 1. for Commitment use FP=C1,
and for 2. Actuals FP 201001-201012.
For 1, upload budget only with FP=C1 and commitments (derivation and badi FMKU_BUDGET_EVNT will help you),
For 2 you need to derive FD from year and period, here 2010&01 for first period,and Upload budget with this FD
Also AVC check via FD.

BAPI or FM to update Commitment

HI GURUs,
I have a scenariio where PO is not created in R3 system. It is created in other software. We want to update commitment and budget checking aginst WBS element, as and when PO with WBS is created in other system.
Can anyone suggest any BAPI or Function Module?

Hi,
The model I am thinking is that, as soon as PR with WBS element is created in other system, the commitment is to be updated in SAP R3. Same way, when GR is created with respect to this, the commitment cancellation document is to be updated in SAP R3.
The only difference here is that, PR is not created in SAP R/3. Due to this reason, direct commitment updation is not possible, as there is no triggering poing behind this. But thinking of the way to create commitment in SAP R/3, as soon as PR is created in other system.

Itunes 7 freezes after i transfer songs to ipod

I have a very old ipod. I've had no trouble transferring songs before itunes 7 came out. After I transfer one song or multiple songs itunes locks up and ctl alt del to shut down itunes. Anyone else with this problem ? Any ideas on how to fix it ? Thanks.

I've installed all vista updates and the other day installed the new version of itunes 7.3 and now i can transfer all info to ipod. However, I have now just been attempting to burn an imported disc and during the intializing period it pops the blanks disc out and says an unknown error occured(2131). Any ideas
