    Within the last four days, I have been experiencing troubles with my iPod 4th Generation.
    It has suddenly developed the problem where, when trying to use the internet, the wi-fi maintains connection - however, often the iPod does not seem to be able to connect with the server that it is trying to access.
    This works for every application on the iPod, including iTunes, App Store and Safari.
    I have tried fixing this by:
    Clearing applications from memory.
    Restarting iPod.
    Turning the iPod off, then on again.
    Turning off the internet modem.
    Factory resseting the iPod.
    I recently updated the iPod to iOS 6. This would be around five to six days to go.
    Also, if it helps, the modem is connected to a Time Machine - not sure if network traffic going through there is the problem.
    Any sort of help is appreciated, as the iPod is effectively dysfunctional.

    Has actualizado tu iOS a 7.1?  Se supone que una de las cuestiones que se arreglaban con esa actualización era el reinicio espontaneo de algunos iPhone,
    Si no lo has hecho, lo puedes hacer yendo a Ajustes > General > actualizaciones de software o conectando tu terminal a la computadora con la que normalmente sincronizas y dandole al botón de actualización.  Te recomiendo que con atenrioridad hagas una copia de seguridad o en iCloud o en la computadora.
    Una vez actualizado el iPhone, apagalo y vuelvelo a encender.
    Si sigue dando problemas despues de eso, vuelve por aquí e intentaremos ayudarte.

    La verdad yo no teng un Ipod Touch 5, yo tengo el 4 pero aun asi te puedo ayudar ,, Mira la cosa es esta , Los 5 mb que utiliza son del software ICloud (la nuvecita que te ayuda a estar en contacto con tus amigos mandandoles fotos y cosas asi. Para mi eso tambien es muy molesto pues yo no uso el ICLOUD.
    Y tu otra pregunta,, cuando tu eliminas una app y la borras se elimina completamente de tu Ipod no te preocupes.
