Buffer from Skip-To Point

I have a video that loads using the FLVPlayback component. It's several minutes long and when you skip to the middle before it's loaded, it seems to load everything up until that point before it starts playing. Is there a way to have it start loading from the "skip to" point (like YouTube does)?

Not if you're using progressive download. YouTube is streaming and why you can skip to any point in the video. If you don't want your progressive video to stop playing, try using an flv as opposed to a f4v. With a flv the video will continue playing from the same point. i.e it will not stop and wait for the video to fully load the middle point before playing again. Of course it won't jump ahead to the middle (like YouTube) since that part of the video isn't yet loaded, but it will keep playing the video instead of stopping and waiting for that section to load before playing again.
The problem is that it can be confusing to the user why the video won't skip ahead and instead just keeps playing from the orginal spot. You can throw up a "buffering animation" to let the viewer know that that this section of video is not yet loaded.

Typically the playback controls are an all or nothing
situation. If you are using Captivate 3, someone familiar with
programming Flash could create a widget that you would drop into a
slide to turn the playback controls off for only a single slide.
But if you are using Captivate 4, there is a new scripting
capability. Actually, one of the Community Experts here posted
something earlier in the week that shows you how to do it. I'll
look up the thread and post the link below in case you are using
Captivate 4.

I do not like iCloud. How can I convert back to the previous version? If not available, then how can I stop songs from skipping during play? (Only started happening when iCloud installed).

Controlling PO incoterms/delivery address from SO shipping point

Hi,
We want to be able to create sales orders with individual Purchase orders ( Purchase orders created with sales order as account assignment - one PO for SO/SO Item )
We want to select freely between multiple shipping point in different countries within the same plant ( in free trade zones )
What is the best way to ensure that the purchase order reflects the different shipping point ? As this is DDU, the Vendor needs to know where to send the goods. You could imagne that the Incoterm 2 would be dynamically set according to the shippingpoint, but the Incoterms in the PO are static - header from vendor master, item from inforecord. Also is the PO delivering address not updated.
We are afraid that the vendor sends the goods to one place and the DSP will attempt to pick up at another ...

All i need is 2 W/days for picking and 2 W/days for loading from the shipping point. Do i need to delete duration also? i have deleted the workign times. Also , i do not need anything from Routes as well. I maintain duration , do i need to maintain them in days for all the possible routes ?? Since my pick/loading times are based on shipping points only , do i have to maintain this data for routes and wt grps ?

On the new iPad I tried to restore from iCloud backup point but was told I was unable to do this as the new iPad needed to have the latest running system iOS 7 loaded. Is there a way I can do this so I can get my iCloud backup or do I need to go back to Applestore and get an iPad preloaded with iOS 7?

If you feel comfortable you can do the Update to iOS 7 yourself and after you have successfully done that... then Restore your iCloud Back Up.
If you are not comfortable in doing it yourself... Then go back to the Apple Store and get them to do it.
They will be Happy to assist you.

Merging clips from an In point without cutting

Hi, I've got a lot of clips to sync but unfortunately no obvious sync points so I kind of have to find my own. The problem I'm facing is that some of these sync points I'm using are halfway through a clip and if I merge them via In point Premiere automatically cuts everything before it (likewise merging via Out point cuts everything after). Is there some way of merging clips but keeping the duration of the sources? Sorry if this has been answered before. I've tried to find information on this but couldn't.

EDIT: In case I haven't worded this properly, my problem is when I create a merged clip from sound and video (or a multicamera sequence), the resulting clip begins from the In point. Nothing before the In point remains.

Context
Live music event. Audio: Line out from the audio desk to an external recorder. Video: 2 DSLR's. No timecode, no clapperboard. I have to sync the songs together. I COULD layer them and move them frame by frame until it sounds right, but that's inaccurate and a lot of work. OR I could find a nice peak in audio as a sync point, mark an In point and merge. This point might be in the middle of the clip though and the resulting subclip will be missing the first half of the song.
I don't get why Avid doesn't have this problem but Premiere does.

Packet drop when clients moving from one Access point to another

HI All ,
I am new to wireless . I am using WS-SVC-WISM-1-K9 wism module and using 5 Access points . When my clients are moving from one access point to another we are getting packet drops .
Kindly anyone suggest me what all configuration i need to verify on the controller for Proper client roaming so that i can resolve my issues..
Please let me know in case of any explanations requiered .

For radius authenticated SSIDs, you need WPA2-aes or wpa1-tkip-CCKM. It depends on what the client supports.
For pre-shared key, any WPA should be decent enough for roaming speed.
If you're on WEP ... no comment.
If you covered the above point, check if it's not a coverage problem. If the 2 APs coverage zone are not overlapping there will be a hole where you don't have signal and logically will have packet drops.

Clearing out TEB to replay from a previous point?

How can one clear all the text entered in the TEB varables, if the user has to restart from a previous point?

Although you can change the value of the variable to an empty variable (null variable), I suspect you want to see that reflected in the TEB. That is not possible with the default TEB, you'll need this widget (free) from Jim LeichLiter:

The JMS-Provider sends a JMS-Message. The message is entirely in the wire and is still flying to the consumer. Before the message arrives to the consumer, the network connection fails, so the client does nothing know about the send message.
From the server’s point of view the message was successfully sent but not acknowledged yet. The server waits for an acknowledge and doesn’t undertake redelivery, because the consumer session on the server is still living.
From the consumer point of view the message was not sent so the client has nothing to ack, so we have some “deadlock”.
The question is – how does server recognize such situation (short connection fail, deadlock) and what does it undertake to guarantee the delivery?

A message is unlikely to simply disappear on the wire without at least one end of the socket getting an exception of some kind, and if the socket is simply hanging for some reason then most JMS providers would have a means to detect this (e.g. by sending periodic packets down the wire to check it is still alive).
But ultimately, if a persistent message is sent to a consuming client and the message is not acknowledged (or the transaction committed) then the server will eventually redeliver it. JMS doesn't define exactly when an unacknowledged message is redelivered, but it typically wouldn't happen until the consumer in question has closed.

Error 0x80070002 when Task Apply OS has "Access content directly from the distribution point" checked

When I check "Access content directly from the distribution point" for the "Apply Operating System" task in my OSD Task Sequence, I get the failed error 0x80070002 at the step when running the sequence from WinPE.
If I uncheck it, I don't get that error or have any problems.
I've ensured that in the properties of my OS Image in the Data Access that "Copy the content in this package to a package share on distribution points" is checked, and that I Updated DPs.
Am I missing any other settings?
The reason I'm trying to do this is because the "Download" speed of the WIM is incredibly slow. I already installed a hotfix (KB2905002) that fixed this for my Dell systems, but it's not speeding it up for another computer model I'm imaging in
the same way. The Dell computers, after I installed the server hotfix, will downloading the .wim file at 1% per second. However the HP thin clients I'm imaging download at about 1% every 15 seconds, and I'm not sure if that's due to their hardware or what.

The error means file not found. So you need to check the smsts.log to see which DP it is accessing, then go to that DP to check the Shared Folder smspkg to make sure the file is there.
For the download performance issue, there are various reasons. You need to check your Switch bandiwidth and if the NIC driver is up to date. If downloading locally is slow, Accessing directly could be slow too.
