Buffer over run QT 7.1.6

Hello,
I have updated quicktime to the latest update but am now experiencing some problems. Some of my quicktimes wont open. They crash on opening, with an error message but the message disappears to fast to read. But if I load quicktime by itself and go to "about quicktime" I can cause it to crash each time with a buffer overrun message.
Is there a simple way to revert to the previous version? I am working on a project for a client and it is my rendered files that I need to be working on right now.

I'm getting a buffer overrun error message as well with this same version on WinXP SP2.
Tried opening up a .mov file and boom....it crashed....
Don't know why...Just a heads up...

BUFFER OVER RUN

WONDERING IF ANYBODY OUT THERE HAS RESOLVED THE BUFFER OVER RUN PROBLEM WITH QUICKTIME ON VISTA SYSTEMS. SOMEBODY HELP. CAN'T PLAY MY DIGITAL VIDEOS.

I have Quicktime 7.0.4 installed on my new PC with a Intel 640 processor on a ASUS P5LD2-Deluxe.
If I want to watch a video from apple.com/trailers

Everytime I can hear a quiet cracking in the sound
if I play back the video while QT is loading the rest of the video.
The cracking sound always disappers when the load-process had come to its end.
So I´ve updated all updatable, of course the Realtek HD-Audio-Driver (on the Intel HD-Audio-Bus), too !
This made it worse than before.
Now it can happen that the video stops in the middle because of the buffer overrun.
ALL OTHER applications are working fine.
For example I can hear music or reports with winamp while downloading big files without any disturbing sound and ugly error-messages.
I think now the Apple developers are asked !

we are getting "buffer over run detected!
program .. \Business objects\Crystal Reports 11\crw32.exe"
A buffer over run has been detected which has corrputed the program's internal state. The program cannot safely continue execution and must be terminated."
This is occuring when we are trying to generate stand report creation wizard using Crystal XI R1.
can any one help me here?

What happens if you create the report manually?
And how are you connecting and who's driver. ODBC, OLE DB, or CR Oracle native drivers? If ODBC who's ODBC driver are you using?
Oracle 11g is not in the supported platforms list so if there is an issue in our Cr Oracle driver we won't be able to fix it.
You could upgrade to CR XI R2 for free: Start off woih the full build SP4:

Then apply SP 5 and SP 6:

Do not uninstall XI R1 before installing R2, use your XI R1 keycode.
Then you should have 11g support...

Buffer over run detected

Every time I try to open QuickTime I get a message saying "A buffer overrun has been detected." and because of this it won’t let me run iTunes. This problem started around the middle of November after months of working fine. I have tried to uninstall, reinstall, and update, but nothing works. It won’t even let me remove QuickTime from my computer (a windows xp).
Some one please help me. I won’t my iTunes back, and I am sure iTunes would like me to continue to by their products . But at the moment, QuickTime is preventing costumers from using your store.

Buffer Over run when trying to view downloaded Video

I've recently downloaded a video from iTunes. When trying to play via iTunes, it crashes after a moment, giving no error but a windows error of "iTunes has encountered a problem and needs to close"
I have tried opening this file through QuickTime and I get this error:
"A buffer overrun has been detected which has corrupted eternal state. The program cannot safely continue exacution and must now be terminated"
I have:
1. Uninstalled/Reinstalled both iTunes/Quicktime
2. Updated Motherboard chipset drivers
3. Cleaned out all references to both Quicktime and iTunes
4. Cleaned out all Registry entries involving quicktime.
Since all these were "fixes" to this question before, I thought maybe there was one I was missing.

QT Buffer Over run

Hi !
I'm using here a powerline network with Netgear solutions, everything works fine but streaming video from a distant hard drive to my macmini (TV connected) shows some buffer errors.
I'm not sure the problem comes from the powerline network as I'm able to copy a 1H30 video (in mpeg4) from HD to Macmini in only 10 or 15 min, I should be able to read it in 1H30. no ?
I'm quite sure all those problem could be solved if I was able to change the QuickTime buffer settings but I don't see where I could do it. I saw a buffer setting in QT preference but it seems to only concerns the internet streamings.
Any idea ?

IDVD6 Buffer under-run through View Image

Higtherto a fair run with iDVD6 but suddenly, no matter what I've tried, when I eventually have run through the creation in iDVD then saved to Image View the complete disc build carries right through to the end then closes with the box message tellingme it has failed through buffer under-run. A waste of approximately 11 hours.
I'm employing OSX.3.9 for the job with my undermentioned spec. The film is a holiiday one of 58 mins 30 secs, and I'm working in PAL with a Pioneer 109 and -R disc.
Maybe I should know what is buffer under-run and maybe it's something I'm doing along the line but I haven't a clue.....

Apologies - read it as 'when burning from' and confirm that I get as far as having already saved as Disk Image.
I've a number of times gone over the lengthy process of saving from FCP through FCP Movie then iDVD to Disk Image followed by spasmodic print results to disks during this present difficulty. Last night I had one result from Toast 6 and another result from Disk Utility followed by a string of complete failures in the way I have already reported - that fatal "The drive drained its buffer without underrun protection."
I've used Disk Warrior's Optimiser to optimise both my HDs which showed a noticeable difference to the storage graphs. Turned the computer off and on again. Resaved the film in the way described. Gone through the process with Toast and Disk Utillity, and produced one good disk from each. All followiing attempts have ended in failures as described and those attempts have included switching off and on again, not just restarting. My startup disk has 42gb free space and the storage disk containing the edited material has 47gb free space.
So yes - the problem shows from the Disk Image starting point. When I got a result from Toast 6 followed by another one from Disk Utility I thought I'd cracked it. Maybe there's a clue in noting that the failures occurred again after once more using Disk Utility.

Firewall blocks jnlp

On certain web sites the page opens then over runs to a blank screen with the same address and stopped showing on the status line

When trying to access certain web pages the browser finds and loads the page then 'over rides' to a blank screen. The page address doesn't seem to change but the tab shows continued 'loading' The status bar at the bottom shows either 'stopped' or 'done'. return re-loads the page then over runs again. Reload does nothing. Usually its a hyperlink from one page to another. It seems random.
Recently it has started to over run into a 'search' type page ie. local yellow pages, local cable company, heavy equipment sales, and things like that.

It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. Error Buffer Under Run iDVD4

I've downloaded successfully my project in imovie (40mins) and while burning in iDVD, after 4 hours, in the step 4, the following error message came.
"Errors were found during the burning process. The recording device found illegal request. Buffer under run.(0x21, 0x02)"
Only this project I couldn't burn. All the other projects I was able to burn without problem. Appreciate anyone help. Thanks.

I hope its not '/' in the first line.
I have come across a problem where I had / in the first line following the sql commands. That gave me the same error which you are facing.

Our SIT env is 10.2.0.4 RAC in AIX 5.3 (OPatch version: 10.2.0.4.7)
In SIT we’re getting this same error message (but not in DEV or UAT, same version db, but single instance).

I saw metalink has reported this as a bug:

I saw 10.2.0.5 patch can fix this, is there any better way to work around?

It is highly recommended you go to Oracle Client 11.2 or Open a SR.
The Oracle White Paper about SCAN said:

TrackedMessages_Copy_BizTalkMsgBoxDb job is over running

Hi, we have a application which is running on BizTalk server 2004 and uses SQl server 2000. It was working fine for past couple of years. From past 6 month we noticed that
TrackedMessages_Copy_BizTalkMsgBoxDb job is over running and fails. It happens whenever there is an suden overload in the no of messages coming to BizTalk server. Also Application is stopped working. We are forced to reboot all the servers
once to get back to normal. But this wasn't happened before.
TrackedMessages_Copy_BizTalkMsgBoxDb is scheduled to run for each and every minute in SQL server agent. Now a days if the messages coming to BizTalk increases then job is taking around 4-5 hours also not getting complted. we are forced to
cancel the job and run it again. Also some time fails.
Can someone please help me on this......

Based on my research, the TrackedMessages_Copy_BizTalkMsgBoxDb job may fail with deadlock error. To work around such issues, locked processes should be killed in BizTalk Database SQL server. And also you may need to apply the latest service pack on

Buffer Under-run Error

Instaled QT-Pro in my production machine that is not connected to the internet. When starting QT it kind of sticks on the "Loading" screen. If I click on the screen It says "Switching". I can still open a movie though and play it but when I try to export it as anything it gives me a Buffer Under Run error and crashes.
Where should I look? I have reinstaled it and the same file works fine on my other machine.

Finaly figured out my problem after doing some searching. At least with me anyway I had the videos I was working on in the root directory of the drive I was using. Apparently QTP likes them in a folder. Now it all works great.
Let me know if this is your problem too.
