[BUG] - 2x "Purchased on My Name's iPhone" sections ?!
I just synced my iPhone 4 to my MBP laptop's (10.6.5) iTunes app (10.1.1), and suddenly get TWO "*Purchased on My Name's iPhone*" sections under the "Store" heading in the margin of iTunes?!
So now half my iPhone purchases are under one section, with the other half under a second section, wrongly!
Same thing has happened with my friends/family over the last couple of days, all using separate iPhone 4's and syncing with latest iTunes version each on their own Mac computers.
Tried fiddling, dragging the lists from one to the other, quitting, and restarts, but all to no joy.
How can we get rid of this or join the two sections under one and delete the copy section. This is just SO annoying and various direct-with-Apple conversations some of us have had, really have NOT helped whatsoever; they are useless at Applecare and the Geniuses in store don't care either.

I've downloaded several thing, including Christmas songs, but do not want them on my iPhone anymore - but no matter what I do, every time I sync my phone, all my purchases revert back to the old names (purchased names, ie. "The Blue - EP" when I have renamed them to "The Blue") and then come up on my iPhone. Despire finding the song on my phone, swipping it to delete, it'll reappear later on.
I have also set up that only songs in a created playlist are to be on my iPhone, (these songs are not on it), yet they always appear.
How can I ensure the downloaded files DO NOT change names and stop going onto my iPhone every time I sync up?
Thank you.It looks like you're trying to play a track bought from the iTunes store (or does it happen with other songs too?). Make sure you are logged in with the account the track was bought with.

I purchased Apple Care for my Iphone 5 and now I purchased I phone 5S from different Carrier. Can I transfer the care or how do I cancel the exisitng care and purchase the new onw.

Changed name of iPhone, now will not sync with iPad.
I rebuilt my iMac. And changed name of iPhone. Now my iPad does not sync with iPhone. I purchased app on iPhone but does not appear on iPad. How do you set up iPad to sync with new iPhone.
Furthermore my iPad is not showing up in iTunes when I initiate a wi-fi sync from iPad. I see the sync icon spinning on iPad but do not see it in iTunes.
All this may be stemming from fact I just rebuilt my iMac. Prior to the rebuild he iPhone and iPads both synced with each other and the iPad would show up in iTunes when initiated sync from iPad.

any ideas please?Look on all you screens and inside all your folders. If you swipe to the right and type Passbook into spotlight search, it will show the name of the folder to the right of Passbook if it is inside a folder.

How do we split our iCloud accounts but keep one iTunes account so we can share purchased content for our multiple iPhones and iPads?
You can migrate a copy of the data to a new account, then delete the other person's data from each account. To do this, on the phone that will be changing accounts, if you have any photos in photo stream that you want to keep on the phone, save these to your camera roll by opening the photo stream album in the thumbnail view, tapping Edit, then tap all the photos you want to save, tap Share and tap Save to Camera Roll. If you have any synced notes that you want to keep on the phone, email these to yourself so you can create new notes in the new account.
Once this is done, go to Settings>iCloud, scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account. (This will only delete the account from this phone, not from iCloud. The phone that will be keeping the account will not be effected by this.) When prompted about what to do with the iCloud data, be sure to select Keep On My iPhone. Next, set up a new iCloud account using a different Apple ID (if you don't have one, tap Get a Free Apple ID at the bottom). Then turn iCloud data syncing for contacts, etc. back to On, and when prompted about merging with iCloud, choose Merge. This will upload the data to the new account. You will create a new icloud email address with you turn Mail to On.
Finally, to un-merge the data you will then have to go to icloud.com on your computer and sign into each iCloud account separately and manually delete the data you don't want (such as deleting your wife's data from your account, and vice versa). -
I have one apple ID for purchases and then my mobile me ID where I use for email. So I have set my cloud with my mobile me name, while keeping my purchases the original name. Will my purchases be recognized as purchases when backup is finished.
Welcome to the Apple community.
So long as you are logged into the iTunes Store, using the correct ID and password (settings >store), then you will always have access to your apps, books, music, TV shows etc etc bought via the iTunes Store on that account. -
i purchased two songs on my iphone and it did sync with itunes. Then i put the two new songs in a music folder and it won't sync the songs to the folder on my iphone. same phone same computer never had this problem before.
In iTunes, try signing out of your Apple ID & then back in: click on iTunes Store on the left sidebar of iTunes, click on your Apple ID on the top right, sign out, sign back in. Then try to sync your purchased music to your phone again.

I cant download my purchased music onto my new iPhone 5. I bought almost all my music through iTunes over my phone but it wont let me download "ALL"--I have to go in individually to each album. Can anyone help me figure out how to do a single "ALL" music download?

Thanks for your reply. Having read through relevant topics it suggests that if I sync my iphone with the correct account on my pc it should use that one thereafter. i will try both.

When I purchase music through iTunes from my MacBook Pro, my iPhone 4 iTunes app cannot detect those purchase to allow them to download to my phone. If I open up the iTunes app and select "purchased > music > not on this iphone" it tells me "All of your available music has been downloaded to this device." However, my purchases are not yet downloaded to the iphone and not available to download. If I go to "purchased > music > all > recent purchases" it will show me the purchases that were most recent the last time I synced my phone, but not the purchases since then.
Any thoughts on how I can remedy this and make all of my purchased music available on my phone without requiring syncing?

Fortunately, AirPlay does not cost anything as it is a streaming protocol used by Apple. Currently, the AirPort Express and Apple TV are AirPlay-ready. A number of other companies, like JBL, iHome, Denon and Klipsch are also rumored to be working on AirPlay versions of their products.
Your other option would be to get an AirPort Express and connect it to your Onkyo analog or optical digital audio input and stream from iTunes that way. I currently do this with my 10+ year old Harmon Kardon HT receiver. -

If it's an Audiobook, then it's probably in the Audiobook section of your iPhone. Have you set your iTunes to Sync Audiobooks with your iPhone?
Alternatively, if the Audiobook was imported into your iTunes Library as as Music, then it's going to be in the Music section of your iPhone. If so, then it will be in the Music section of your iTunes Library. To move it to the Audiobooks section, select it in the Library and choose File/Get Info/Options>Media Kind where you can change it.
You can change it to a Podcast, but since something is only a Podcast if it is delivered to your iTunes as a Podcast download (which is a process for delivering files without you having to go and find them), then your audiobook is not a Podcast and you may forget (in the future) how you obtained the book in the first place -
Do you need to use an email as an apple ID? We have a family email which is currently the apple ID so I can keep track of purchases but i have 2 iPhones and 2 itouches. Can all 4 devices have different apple ID under the same email address. Also I wanted to know because for the game center we wanted to keep track of each individual not just o e account. DID I MAKE SENSE

Open itunes, connect iphone, click File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
This will put the music on your computer. Listen to it. -

You can use the same Apple ID for both phones, you would then be able to use the purchased Apps/Content on both phones without having to pay again.
