Bug 452193 does not fix my problem
I found via cor-el that my system had been shifted from 3.6.7 to 3.0.10. I later updated to 3.6.8, no change. cor-el suggested I check at "http://kb.mozillazine.org/locked_or_damaged_places.sqlite". I did that and found Bug 452193. That led me to a post by Gervase Markham on 2009-11-26.. I am told to "move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places_to_b_and_h"". Then come instructions, In Thunderbird etc which I followed except in the last sentence, there is no "Manually Run" as a dropdownat the top. So I Clicked OK anyway. I then followed the rest of the instructions without a problem. I have since done an exit and reopen firefox without a change in blank Library screens. Please advise. Thanks,

The 5.0.1.23 update for Bridge CS6 does NOT fix the problem of constantly re-caching layered TIF files.

At that time I also submitted a bug report via photoshop.com, and received an e-mail response from Adobe support confirming the problem had been replicated in their lab and promising a fix in the next update.
I've since tracked several other reports of this bug and related cache problems.
I assume that, at best, we will have to wait another 6 months or more for the next update. How can I assure this bug will be addressed?redcrown on guard wrote:

Thank you for this bit of information. Maybe it means I can stop the deactivations/uninstall/reinstall/reactivate cycle to try yet another solution. And hopefully, this will stop the re-caching problem with other than tif files.

When I connect my iPhone to my PC it is not recognised and iTunes does not open. When I connect my iPod to the same PC everything works perfectly. I conclude that the problem is not on the PC or with iTunes. Switching off and rebooting the iPhone and the PC does not fix the problem. Any suggestions??

I cannot download and use Itunes successfully. Message MSVCR80.dll is missing. Reinstalling does not fix the problem. I also get a error 7, Windows error 126.

I have iMove 11 and photos turn very dark when I drag them into the project. Changing colour white balance does not fix the problem.

PE 13 crashes due to incompatible video driver detected. Running on Win 7 SP1 with ATI 540v video card/driver. Deleting bad driver file in adobe program data does not fix the problem, it simply replaces the text file and crashes again. My video driver is just fine. Any help out there?

Your video card driver may be fine for something, but just not compatible with Premiere Elements 13/13.1.
For those with the display card error, the answers include
a. assure your video card/graphics card driver version is up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the card -
if necessary consider a driver roll back.
b. determine in Device Manager/Display Adapters if the computer is using 2 cards instead of 1
c. delete the BadDrivers.txt file
the rationale for that deletion is found in post 10 of the following older post...principle applies to 13 as well as 9.

Have you looked for computer ATI card settings that might be more compatible with Premiere Elements 13/13.1?
When is the program crashing - just opening a new project or rather crashing if editing a particular video format at the Timeline level?

I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

I recently upgraded Firefox and now I cannot use it if I want to watch something involving Adobe Flash because it crashes. I read your article and made sure I am up to date on all programs through Firefox check page. I reset the timeout on the adobe flash to -1 per your article. Your article states it may crash and just re-load it. I have done all your advice and it still will not run. I am now using Windows as my default browser because I don't have time right now to research this on my own and solve it. I don't know if you are aware that the fixes you suggested are not fixing the problem.

My iPhoto has a constant spinning pinwheel. Even Forced Quit does not fix the problem. Any advice?
My iPhoto has been doing this for the past 4 days. The pinwheel never goes away. I have forced quit countless times and still it does not work. I have looked all over the internet but have yet to find a solution that makes my iPhoto usable again. Can anyone help? Thank you!
A little background: I have a feeling I started the problem as I pulled out my camera's memory stick in a rush before I had ejected it on the iPhoto program.You tv probably has 2 seperate inputs, DVI and HDMI. You will need one these adapters if you want to connect via HDMI however on a machine as old as yours neither the HDMI or DVI will only output video, not audio.

Windows 7 Home 64 bitThank you, the step where I went to tools, options and then selected a product for the application worked. It was a problem with .pdf files. I don't understand how all of a sudden it changed from what had worked all along, but, I changed it back from xps viewer to adobe and all is working fine.

If it truly is ALL apps (including the preinstalled apps) that will not open, try a reset and see if that helps.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
If only the third party apps will not work, then Meg's advice should work. -

10.5.4 does not fix wifi problems
Sadly, after installing 10.5.4 I can confirm for me, the non-reconnection of wifi after sleep is still as broken as it was in 10.5.3
Mine will still only reconnect if Bluetooth is off.
Another Apple disappointment.It sounds to me you have file corruption or an improper setting in your firewall, router, or network preferences that is causing the issue. Perhaps if you gave us more details about your network connection, hardware/software/IPv6/Channel setup/MTU size/number of shared computers we could give you more details why the issue may be happening.
