Bug anytime I use brush related tools.
Everytime I use a tool that use paint brushes my shortcut on keyboard becomes unavailable. Brush Tool, Stamp, Eraser .... The only way to get out of it is to select another tool then everything comes back to normal. It makes my workflow extremely annoying and I wonder if anyone else has the same issue and/or anyone has a solution?
I tried:
Not using my Wacom.
Reinstalling Wacom software.
Uninstalling Photoshop + Delete preferences.
Reinstalling Photoshop without Sync Settings.
Sync Settings.
All comes down to the same issue.

PS CS5 -crash using brush + grass tool
New Mac running Snow Leopard and CS5. 2560 x 1920 resolution on an Apple Cinema display. As soon as the user selects the brush tool and then the grass tool and starts filling up the screen, it crashes. It crashes every time like this. All updates have been applied. Also there are no third party plugins being used. For what its worth, the user has a smaller secondary monitor running at 1920 x 1200 (but its not being used when the crashes happen).

Getting stroke lag when using brush/pencil tool...
Hello, pretty new to Flash CS6. I've been sketching in Flash all day and running into a weird problem. When doing quick brush strokes, every 1 out of 7 or so does not register. My tablet lights up telling me I'm applying pressure, but it skips the stoke on screen comepletely. After doing a quick test in Photoshop CS6, I didn't have any missed stokes, even when done very quickly.
I'm using a 2011 MacBook Pro i7 with 8 gigs of RAM. Tablet is an Intuos4 with updated drivers. Thanks in advance.
-AndySorry for the impatience, but I could use some help here. I animate in a sketchy style and it's very irritating when ~20% of my lines don't register at all. It seems like a very simple fix I am overlooking, but I lack the knowledge to figure it out on my own.
I've googled to the ends of the internet, but only found similar problems in Photoshop, which doesn't help me here. Is there some default brush setting I am overlooking? I am getting complete misfires with an empty stage, no applications open and only 2% of my CPU taken up.
Again, sorry for being hastey, but I've been drawing for hours and this is crippling my workflow -

This issue is reproducible on some specific devices only and is being investigated and tracked internally.Any progress on this will be conveyed.
Meanwhile if it is not a problem for you could you please uninstall the driver for tablet and Flash(Use CC cleaner tool) and re-install the latest version of drivers for your tablet and also Flash Pro CC 2014 from Creative cloud. reboot the system and check if the issue happens??Because most of the times updation of the driver has helped resolve the issues related to brush.

Proper Use of the Healing Brush & Patch Tool
When using the Patch tool and Healing Brush tool to smooth skin, I cannot seem to avoid "grabbing" dark coloring from the clothing as I get close to the edge of the skin. I have the sample source anchored in the middle of an area far away from the clothing edge, but if I get close to the clothing it pulls from that color and "bleeds" into my healing area.
I've tried to view tutorials on the Healing Brush, but haven't found anything that addresses this specific condition, just standard "how to" stuff.

it works like this.

if the angle of the clothes do not match you can copy a section and paste and then rotate the section to match and use it as the source for
the patch tool.
BTW the idea is that you have to include the contrasting areas so the do not cause a blending. even if the darker area needs no repair. -

Apple Trackpad freeze when using brush tools
Apple MacBook Pro Retina, OS X 10.10 Yosemite Beta 1
I've just downloaded Photoshop CC 2014 Trial. I don't use mouse or tablet, but I use Apple Trackpad. When I start using Brush, Clone Stamp, Quick Selection Tool, etc cursor freezes between movements. In previous version of PS (14.2.1) everything is fine. I've made a video to show you this problem.

P.S. Sorry for my English.I've just reverted back to the previous build of Photoshop CC and the problem is fixed, so I'm gonna wait till the next release of Photoshop or the final version of Yosemite and give it another shot. My friend tested the same Ps version on his iMac running Mavericks and it worked fine with the Magic Mouse, so it's definitely some kind of incompatibility issue between the current Ps CC build and Yosemite.

Why when I use Brush Tool on a layer mask, I must click on somewhere else then I am able to see my effects of my previous brush on my mask.
If I don't click click on somewhere else, I cannot even see my current brush effects
This kind of problem really slow down my work flow. So if you guy know the solution of my problem, please let me know.
ThanksUpdate your graphics driver/ turn off GPU usage in the performance prefs. You have an issue with hardware-based transparency handling most likely. Otherwise you could have an issue with your input device, but since you have not provided any system info, we can't really know anything.

With SVG, it's the same.

PSE6 Error when using Brushes or doing "too much"
I get the error " Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0 (Editor) has encountered a problem and needs to close" anytime I use the brush tool or if I try to do too many layers (I'm doing digital scrapbook pages) I'm running Windows XP SP3 and have 2.7 GHz processor and 3 GB of Ram. I recently added 2 GB of RAM when I thought the issue was memory related. I've reinstalled PSE but it still freezes and then errors out.I watch CPU in task manager when I'm in PSE but never go to more than 60% even when I force the error to occur.
One of the guys at work said he thought there was an issue with SP3 and older Adobe products. Can't tell you how long this has been going on (pre SP3?) since I only recently started using PSE for more than just simple photo editing. Hopefully, some expert here will be able to give me a solution. Thanks in advance.You say you've reinstalled, but have you deleted the prefs? Reinstalling doesn't affect those. Quit the editor then restart it while holding down ctrl+alt+shift. Keep holding the keys till you see a window asking if you want to delete the settings file. You do.

It's an old installation, 2.1.4. I'm running OS 10.9
That is the problem. Aperture 2 is not fully compatible with MacOS X 10.9; the crop-tool, the Loupe, some brushes no longer work reliably in the newer MacOS X version. And I really doubt, that there will be bug-fixes for Aperture 2 on Mavericks. These incompatibilities started with MacOS X Lion, and have gotten worse with each new operating system release.
To run Aperture with Mavericks you will need to update to Aperture 3.5. for full compatibility.
Do you also have older plug-ins installed, that might be incompatible with Mavericks? Check with the developer's website, if there are updates for any plug-ins. -
Contrast brush (or tool) diameter small, even at max setting.
A few days ago during use, the contrast brush (or tool) became much smaller, even at maximum size setting. Other tools are not affected. I've rebooted several times, even had a hard crash (spinning beach ball), but after restart the problem remains. The diameter of the tool on screen is somewhat relative to file size, but on average the maximum diameter setting offers a contrast tool diameter of about 1 inch…maybe 1 ½ inches. On a 27 inch monitor, that's not much. What can I do to achieve a "reset" on the diameter of this tool?
The Brush is limited to 1,000 pixels in normal use, but when constrained is limited to 200 px. In the Brush HUD, make sure that "Detect Edges" is not checked, and that the Brush range is set to "All". (Brush range is set on the Action Menu {click the gear icon on the Brush HUD}.)
Let us know if that resolves your issue. -

I'm using PS CC 2014 on a 64 bit Windows 7 PC. Photoshop is unusable due to the brushes/eraser tools freezing.
Anyone else have this issue or know how to fix it, or how to revert to Photoshop CC using a Creative Cloud subscription?
If this helps, all other cc 2014 programs are running perfectly - as was the previous version of Photoshop.When exactly does your brushes/eraser tools freeze?
Do you use any Wacom or other brand tablet? If so, have you checked for an updated driver? Disconnect Wacom and use a mouse instead and check.
Disconnect all the external devices and then retry.
Install all the PS updates. Help > Updates
Try resetting the PS CC preferences and check if it's an issue with corrupt preferences : http://forums.adobe.com/thread/375776
Try to open PS CC 2014 in Plugin Disabled mode and check the same. For that Press Shift+PS CC 2014 icon and hit Yes.
Restart your machine and retry.

Photoshop CS6 - Screen flickering when using brushes with new MacAir 2013

A number of users experience severe screen flicker in Photoshop CS6 when using any of the larger brush type tools (cloning, eraser, brush, spot healing, burning, and dodging). As many on this thread are experiencing, it is awfull and unusable! The flicker is screen wide black boxes, sometimes the whole screen goes black. It only seems to happen when we put the cursor over the image to edit.
Hardware: MacBook Air 13", Haswell 1.7 GHz, 8GB, 512 SSD Software:
Photoshop CS6 v13.1.2 20130105.r.224, OS X v10.8.4 (and perhaps others)
Looks like a CS6 is not compatible with teh new MacAir. Please look into this and advise.

I went to the Apple store and brought myself a more recent MacBook Air (13", 4/256 FYI, they were out of the 8/512 model). I can't reproduce *exactly* what you're showing, but got the flicker to happen by resizing the cursor. Also, while painting, the screen seems to stop updating except for the cursor -- not only is Photoshop unable to draw, but other applications stop drawing as well. And a few times it hasn't even updated the cursor (while all other apps seem frozen). That's not normal.
When I see the flickering, I frequently see the menubar and other UI elements draw at the wrong location on the LCD, then black, then redraw in the correct location -- repeat in different positions and lots of "static" until I stop changing the cursor. That's more evidence of a hardware or and odd driver issue. The odd thing is: it doesn't happen all the time. It's possible that the one we have at the office also shows the problem, but we didn't test long enough.
I'm trying to reach out to my hardware contacts at Apple - but it's a weekend before a holiday, so we may not make progress immediately.
One thing that would be useful here: the model of MacBook Air that you have that shows (or doesn't show) the problem.

Tiger 10.4.6 spinning pinwheel after update
We have had 15 machines all not boot after updating to 10.4.6. They reboot the machine and get the spinning pinwheel and cannot get past this. We cannot even get to single user mode. Has anyone else had this issue and how do we fix it?

Having problems setting alarm time since daylight savings time change today
Since the change to Daylight Savings time this morning, I am unable to set my alarm correctly. I set it to 2:40 a.m. but the time on the alarm shows 3:40 a.m. I have all the proper settings correctly done. I have powered down the phone numerous ti
