Hi,
It seems like a Windows Server problem, not an Exchange Server problem.
What’s the version of your Windows Server and Exchange Server?

  • Installing Exchange 2013 on Windows Server 2012 R2

    Now that SP1 has been released, it is supported to run Exchange 2013 on Windows Server 2012 R2
    But since it is not yet possible to download Exchange 2013 with integrated SP1 (slipstreamed), is the following installation procedure supported:
    - Install Exchange 2013 (without SP1) on Windows Server 2012 R2
    - Install SP1 on top of Exchange 2013
    If this is not supported, can someone tell me when the Exchange 2013 with integrated SP1 (slipstreamed) download will be released?

    yes the SP1 is the full product. if you need step by step instruction to migrate to this new version you can get info here : http://buenoflex.com/install-exchange-2013-sp1/

  • Problems installing Itunes error message - Hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run - Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel

    Can anyone help? I have been trying to install the new version of Itunes for ages my new iphone wont activate on the old version!! Keep getting the same error message -  Hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run - Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.
    Please Help!!!!!

    That particular key can sometimes be hit by malware, liam, so just to be on the safe side I think we should try a malware scan first.
    Try downloading and installing the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware. Update your MBAM definitions and then run a full scan of the PC. (Takes about 2 hour on my Lenovo.)
    http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
    Does the scan find any infections? If so, please paste the contents of the log file for the scan in a reply here so we can have a look

  • Error During Exchange 2013 Mailbox Transport Role Install On Server 2012

    I was installing Exchange 2013 on Server 2012.  The server is not a DC, but is a member of a domain with a 2008 R2 functional level, and I was logged in as a domain admin.  There has never been an Exchange instance on this domain.  I got past
    the prerequisite checks, and the installer showed 15 steps, so I walked away.  When I came back, I saw this:
    Step 8 of 15: Mailbox role: Transport service
    Error:
    The following error was generated when "$error.Clear();
              $maxWait = New-TimeSpan -Minutes 8
              $timeout = Get-Date;
              $timeout = $timeout.Add($maxWait);
              $currTime = Get-Date;
              $successfullySetConfigDC = $false;
              while($currTime -le $timeout)
                $setSharedCDCErrors = @();
                try
                  Set-SharedConfigDC -DomainController $RoleDomainController -ErrorVariable setSharedCDCErrors -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue;
                  $successfullySetConfigDC = ($setSharedCDCErrors.Count -eq 0);
                  if($successfullySetConfigDC)
                    break;
                  Write-ExchangeSetupLog -Info ("An error ocurred while setting shared config DC. Error: " + $setSharedCDCErrors[0]);
                catch
                  Write-ExchangeSetupLog -Info ("An exception ocurred while setting shared config DC. Exception: " + $_.Exception.Message);
                Write-ExchangeSetupLog -Info ("Waiting 30 seconds before attempting again.");
                Start-Sleep -Seconds 30;
                $currTime = Get-Date;
              if( -not $successfullySetConfigDC)
                Write-ExchangeSetupLog -Error "Unable to set shared config DC.";
            " was run: "Unable to set shared config DC.".
    The only option on the screen was exit, so I did.  I checked the start menu, and there were two new Exchange icons, but I did not click them.  I ran the installer again, and it detected an incomplete install, the only option was to click next to
    finish the install, so I clicked next.  This time, I eventually got the same error, except the screen showed "Step 8 of 15: Mailbox role: Transport service."  I did install some Exchange 2010 prerquisites on the server before Exchange Server 2013
    came out, and I can rebuild the server and try the install again if that would be best, but I thought I should post here first and try to work through this since the product is so fresh.  Any suggestions?

    I've tried three times since my last post, following
    http://msexchange2010.info/archives/2330 as closely as possible the most recent time.  I am consistently getting the same error that appears to imply I don't have write access to the domain.  I don't understand this, because I am using the
    same domain admin account I have been using all along.  Nonetheless, here is the powershell output starting with the first Exchange setup.exe step (all other steps were already performed, all available updates were installed, and the server was rebooted
    prior to this):

    I am cleaning out in ADSI and rebuilding the server for now, because the server is behaving oddly (not as oddly as it was with 6GiB, but oddly, nonetheless).  I probably won't try to install Exchange again before tomorrow.  What should I do to prevent
    encountering the above again and/or if I encounter it again?

  • Perflib and MSExchange Common Error on Exchange 2013

    Hello,
    I am getting two error messages (in attachment) again and again on two newly installed Exchange 2013 SP1 servers with combined Exchange roles. I found a lot but could not find and solution. Please guide how to resolve the issue;
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,

    Hi,
    For the first error, please try the following steps to check this issue.
    1. Write down the name that is mentioned as [module] in your Event ID 1023 message.
    2. Click Start, click Run and type Regedit [enter] (If you do not have a run option just hit the Windows key + R)
    3. In the Registry browse to the key:
    HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\ServiceName\Performance
    Where ServiceName references to the [module] name you wrote down in step 1.
    4. Under the Performance branch check the entry that says “Library”.
    5. Check if the file exits in the folder that is referenced in the registry Library entry.
    6. Search the computer for that filename to see if it exists on other locations.
    7. Compare file size and versions of the files that are found. If the DLL from step 5 is older/lower version then the ones in other folders you might want to rename this DLL and copy a newer one to the folder.
    If you are unable to find the DLL anywhere else on the computer check the original media (CD/DVD) you installed the product from to see if the DLL exist on there. Copy or extract it to the folder where the Perflib expects it.
    Then start a Command prompt and type:
    REGSVR32 [path][file.dll] – where path and file.dll refer to the complete path and filename of the file you just copied.
    And refer to this document

  • Setup Error Reinstallin Exchange 2013

    Trying to reinstalling Exchange 2013 after removing Exchange from ADSI, IIS, Registry, and Active Directory. Receiving the following error when attempting AD Prep. ERROR: Method Not found:  Boolean Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Mime.MimeAddressParser.IsValidDomain(System.String,
    Int32, Boolean)'. and the setup fails.  This occurs whether I try Schema Prep, ADPrep or just trying to load Exchange.  This is a lab environment.  Any suggestions to correct the install?

    When I look at the Schema with ADSI edit, I still see all the ms-exch attributes from the initial Schema Prep that was conducted. Both the Schema Prep and AD Prep was conducted successfully, but when Exchange 2013 SP1 combined was loaded, OWA never worked
    right and I was having issues connecting properly with SP 2013.  I did use a similar blog about uninstalling Exchange, that went into more depth that the one you listed.  Here is a copy of my Exch Setup Logs when I attempt to run Prepare AD:

    Hi,

    Any quick help will be highly appreciated!
    Many thanks

    Hi,
    Are you using a Single domain cert by GoDaddy, if thats the case we cannot add more than one domain to your cert. I believe you have added the outlook anywhere domain name to your cert since your outlook anywhere connection is prompting any errors.
    You have two options, one is purchase a UCC Cert and add all URL's required or Please have a look on these below Virtual Directories on the exchange server and modify the the URL's so you will not get the Cert errors.
    use the shell to view the internal and external URL's,
    Get-ActiveSyncVirtualDirectory | fl internalurl,externalurl
    Get-AutoDiscoverVirtualDirectory | fl internalurl,externalurl
    Get-ECPVirtualDirectory | fl internalurl,externalurl
    Get-OabVirtualDirectory | fl internalurl,externalurl
    Get-WebServicesVirtualDirectory | fl internalurl,externalurl
    Change all your internal URL's similar to the external URL's, use the Set command as the example below.
    Get-AutodiscoverVirtualDirectory -server EXCHANGE | Set-AutodiscoverVirtualDirectory -ExternalUrl ‘https://mail.domain.com/Autodiscover/Autodiscover.xml’
    make sure all your servername.localdomain.local URL's are changed to match primary certificate name.

  • Certificate errors with Exchange 2013 and Outlook 2013

    Hello, I wonder if someone could help.
    I've recently set up a network with one Windows 2012 domain controller and one windows 2012 server running Exchange 2013.
    Clients run Outlook 2013 and are all one the same Lan. Outlook's setup wizard finds the exchange server automatically and sets up the profile. However if I choose the manual setup and enter the server
    name and user name it does not find the server.
    When I check the server name in Outlook it shows as
    [email protected] rather than the real name of the server: AYCEX01.AYC.local.
    When Outlook is opened there is a certificate error saying "The name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site." and another error saying "There is
    a problem with the server's security certificate. The name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the target site mail.ardfernyacht.co.uk. Outlook is unable to connect to the proxy server. (Error code 10)
    The external address by which users connect to OWA and active sych is mail.ardfernyacht.co.uk. The
    certificate which is used is one automatically generated by Exchange.
    Any suggestions you may have would be appreciated.
    Many thanks,

    Self sign cert wont work With autodiscover.For that you need 3rd part or from Your own CA.
    Please follow this guide to install CA in Your domain:
    http://careexchange.in/how-to-install-certificate-authority-on-windows-server-2012/
    Please follow this guide to request New cert in Exchange 2013:
    http://exchangeserverpro.com/create-ssl-certificate-request-exchange-2013/
    Your cert must contain external hostname of Your mail.domain.com
    Also configure Your Virtual directories to contain internal and external hostname:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/mvpawardprogram/archive/2013/03/18/virtual-directories-exchange-2013.aspx
    Regarding servername when using autodiscover,it should automatically resolve mailbox guid instead of servername.
    Please check if Your DNS is setup With autodiscover.domain.local (which is pointed to Your Exchange server)
    Hope this helps!
    Please mark as helpful if you find my contribution useful or as an answer if it does answer your question. That will encourage me - and others - to take time out to help you. Thank you! Off2work

  • Is it ok to install Exchange 2013 on Windows Server 2012 Standard?

    Hello everyone,
    I'd like to know if it is ok/safe to install Exchange Server 2013 on Windows Server 2012 Standard?
    As I started doing some research and noticed a page where Microsoft states they don't recommend running Exchange on Server 2012 Standard, and recommend making 2 different servers one for Active Directory and another for Exchange.
    On that page they also listed some features that wouldn't work in case of Exchange is running on Server 2012. And that it may put a larger data load if setup this way.
    I am hoping someone knowledgeable can explain and tell me if it is safe to use such setup or if it is better to use something like SBS 2011 Standard instead, which has Exchange included?
    Has anyone installed Exchange 2013 on Server 2012 Standard successfully and used it for more then several months without problems?
    Also just to give an idea on my background, I've been in IT field fairly long but haven't really updated to newer versions much and mainly used SBS 2003 and 2008 only with a few clients so haven't used 2008 too much.
    Thanks in advance.

    Few things to note.
    There is
    NO SBS in 2012
    All you need is a Std edition of Windows for Exchange 2013, as there is no difference in features between Std and Datacenter as far as Exchange is concerned.
    For 10 users, you can have one box with both AD and Exchange. It is not MS recommeded, but it IS supported.

  • Exchange 2013 - External Windows XP/Outlook 2007 Password Prompt

    I have an Exchange 2013 server and everything is working correctly internal with XP clients that are connected to the domain.  My problem is that the Windows XP computers that are connecting from outside of the office that aren't connected to the domain
    and have local usernames and passwords keep getting the password prompts.  I put in the correct domain\username and password and it connects.  The if I close and reopen it asks me for the password, I have saved the credentials but it still asks.
     I have look and applied these settings from these articles but I'm still having the issue.  All of the internal and external names match my GoDaddy SSL certificate (mail.domain.com). Get-OutlookAnywhere shows:
    ExternalHostname                   : mail.domain.com
    InternalHostname                   : mail.domain.com

  • How to remove / uninstall Exchange 2013 Microsoft Document.

    Dear Support,
    We have just finished a complete migration from Exchange 2013 to Office 365 Exchange Plan.
    Our on-premise Exchange 2013 has been powered off for the last three weeks and we are now ready to proceed and remove and delete Exchange 2013 from our Windows 2012r2 domain.
    Our domain is as follows :
    Windows 2012r2 ( 2 x Domain Controllers)
    Exchange 2013 ( 1 Server with around 80 mailboxes and some PF)
    I cant seem to find an official Microsoft guide on "How to remove Exchange 2013 completely"
    Once again my exchange server still has all of its database etc, we have simply power it off and are ready to uninstall it, I just a MS Guide to follow, I've seen loads of various posts but no official instructions.
    Cheers
    Roger

    Hi Roger,
    Thank you for your question.
    By you state, Exchange 2013 has been powered off for the last three weeks, so we think message flow and PF have no problem on office 365. We could refer to the following link to remove Exchange 2013:
    https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee332361(v=exchg.141).aspx
    Notice: This is a link which is about Exchange 2010, but it also apply to Exchange 2013.
    If there are any questions regarding this issue, please be free to let me know.
    Best Regard,
    Jim
