BUG: Content moving between Muse and Preview/Browser

Content on the sites I design move from where its placed in the muse application and where it is in preview mode on a browser (or actually uploaded) before the update where it was on Muse was where it was when it was uploaded, what was on preview was just incorecct. However now what gets uploaded is what is shown in preview mode now Muse, which is incorccectly placed.
It's done it in some kind of form on every project I've completed.
Hopefully the pictures below will explain this better.
The items below aren't in the "footer" and this is on a page, not a master.
Any help would be appricated.
The only "cure" I've found for it is to copy the parts which are incorrect, and paste them in place. Usually this makes something else move (in this case the white bar went to where it is in muse and the black sides went back to where they should be in preview so I had to then copy the white bar and paste it in place)

I also find sometimes I have to toggle Scrubbing on/off (s key) once or twice to break out of playhead issues on rare occation.
That's a bug, too, then.
I can get out of it (by clicking with the mouse) and trashing the prefs seems to help - but it looks like a bug to me.
Surely trashing the prefs should not be required - I rearely need to trash the prefs of any other application - and if it is (and it has been since I started using FCP 4) then why the h*ck doesn't FCP X trash its own wretched prefs?

Is it a Bug? Integration between Dreamweaver and Fireworks is broken in somewhere?

I use CS3 Suite. It is a big trouble for me in working on
real pages. Integration is broken in somewhere else and after that
point it becomes impossible to work on Fireworks through
Dreamweaver.
I've made test to show this trouble and I narrowed the
problem to the pictures as shown in the figures below,
1) In figure one I am creating a completely new Fireworks
file as arrow.png with two frames and one slice in it. After I am
saving it as .png I am exporting it as .html with images in /images
subfolder.
2) After saving and closing the file in Fireworks, in figure
two, I am opening the html in Dreamweaver and changing the page
properties by writing zeros to page margins and by changing the
default font.
-----I guess in this point something happens which breaks the
integration between FW and DW--------because;
3) In figure three I am opening the .png through Dreamweaver
(by "Edit") and changes the place and size of the slice a little
bit
4) When I press Done in Fireworks I see this picture in
figure four in Dreamweaver which shows integration between FW and
DW about table structure is broken. (In this point if I add any
behaviur to the slice DW doesn't recognize it, or any other change
in FW can not be recognized by DW)
5) In order to show this broken integration in table
sturucture, I am putting a new slice to png when Editing from DW in
FW.
6) When I click on Done in DW I see this picture on the
figure six. Beacuse FW doesn't have any effect on html's table
structure code.

You can't add or change slices without re-exporting the html
from
Fireworks. Roundtrip is for image editing, not for altering
the table
structure. If I edit, and re-export, my table remains intact.
If you want to edit the slices and resulting html, open the
PNG file
independently of Dreamweaver, change your slices and images
and then
choose File > Update HTML (this option is not available
when in
Roundtrip mode). FW will ask you to locate the html file.
When located,
you will have the options of
Replace Images and Their HTML - replaces the previous
Fireworks HTML.
Update Images Only - overwrites only the images.
As an aside, the rigid table created by FW is rarely
desirable for a
production web site.

Functional difference between Blackberry and Internet Browser on the device

Hello:
Based on the following link, I understand the difference between the Blackberry and Internet browser (http://www.blackberryforums.com.au/forums/blackberry-general-discussion/2815-difference-between-brow...
I was wondering if there are any functional difference between the two, i.e. HTML rendering, images being broken, etc. Under Browser -> Options -> Browser Configuration, If I configure both the Blackberry and Internet browser the same way, will a particular URL behave the same?
I'm in the process of testing our mobile applications on different devices and would appreciate if you could provide the difference, if any between the 2 browsers.

What is the difference between Muse and Edge

I have used, and still do, use Adobe products ranging from Premiere, Photoshop, ColdFusion, Dream Weaver, Encore, Acrobat Pro. I use WordPress mainly because its more SEO ready. How does Muse and Edge handle on-page SEO ?

Muse is a WYSIWYG application, where you can design and publish websites without writing code and it generates the code for you. Edge is for creating animated and interactive HTML5 content using JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS.

I am in the process of writing my PhD thesis and I hate lugging my macbook pro home every night. What would you recommend as the optimal setup so that I can transfer data between work and home with minimal things to take back and forth? Thanks!

If that question gets solved and is a route you might consider, then it would be good to be aware of "How to do a full system restore from encrypted Time Machine volume" (http://forum.pgp.com/t5/PGP-Whole-Disk-Encryption-for/How-to-do-a-full-system-re store-from-encrypted-Time-Machine/m-p/26837). This is not an immediately intuitive process, but the folks here seem to have it worked out.
Optionally, if you did not want to bother with MobileMe, I think you can just use Time Capsule through a rather speedy Ethernet connection to your Mac at work. Addtionally, you can add additional drives to TM, if you require more data redundancy.
I am guessing that it might be worthwhile to have multiple backups of a PhD thesis, with backups in more than one physical location. So, if this looks appealing and it actually works for your requirements, then you could likely have choice to:
1) Just access work from other Mac via MobileMe
2) Take TM home every night
3) Take attached drive to TM home every night

Dreamweaver Momentarily Freezing When Moving Between Code and Design View

I have Dreamweaver CS4 and have had a problem that just started yesterday. I have rebooted my machine to no avail. The local copy and the live copy of the site are on two different servers that we access through a local network.
Dreamweaver slows to a standstill if I click to another program and then attempt to go back into Dreamweaver or if I switch between design and code view.
I haven't made any changes to Dreamweaver in the way of added extensions or updates. Is it possible that the cause of this could be either a server problem or a connectivity to the server problem?

You can use CTRL+# to switch between Code and Design View.
By the way, this is the Dreamweaver Application Development forum which deals with questions about using server-side scripting languages like PHP or ColdFusion. General Dreamweaver questions should be posted in the regular Dreamweaver General Discussions forum.
And while I´m at it: please use descriptive headlines such as "how to switch between Code and Design View" for your posts -- mentioning your screen name "Goula129" is not helpful to other users.

Why are my pages different in browser from within muse and preview

Does this happens with any browser you check ? without site url it would be difficult to check , but can you try to copy the text and in a new page with a larger text frame try the same text with browser preview, this would isolate if you have used spacing in between lines or if the text frame is stretched.

Masters not applying to pages, discrepancy between design and preview mode

Hi there,
I am having a crazy time with Muse, please please help me... I see some of you have looked at the post, but no help yet. Please don't let me down. SOOO confused!
1) Master pages are not fully applying to the pages I assign, only parts of them.
Above you can see that the sub-pages and the "WORK" page all have the C-Master applied to them, but then you look at one of those pages and not all of the features are there.

Above is one of those sub-pages (coffee tables) with the C-master applied, yet the navigation menu is missing!?!?
2) Also the formatting is completely on the third image is completely wrong. There is extra space at the bottom of the page and yet I cannot move the page toggles to be the same as it is on the master. These formatting/margin/page size issues run throughout my pages and I cannot get them to all be the same! HELP!
3) The page looks different in the design mode than it does in the preview mode.
I am so confused and have gone through this from scratch once before thinking I did something wrong but I have had the same result.
Please help me!!!

Hi Parikshit,
The sticky footer sounded promising, but it didn't change anything. I still can't move those bottom toggles to be at the desired ruler mark.
As for the margins... Its my understanding that whatever you have in a master page will be applied to the pages you assign, but the content and spacing is different. There is no content that would push the page to extend further down, which I have seen done before. And because I cannot individually move the toggles I have no way of adjusting the spacing. I am going for a seamless look between pages, where the size and content of the page remains the same while the images in my portfolio change.
Even if I go to Page > Page Properies and try to enter the correct numbers, it still doesn't affect the page.
Does that clarify?
Also, I am running 7.1 on a Mac OS 10.9...does that have something to do with it?

ICal bug subscribing/publishing between Leopard and Tiger?

It seems there is a strange incompatibility between iCal 2.0.5 (Tiger) and iCal 3.0 (Leopard).
I work for a company where 10 employees share their calendars through a private server.
Everyone publishes his/her calendar and is subscribed to all the other calendars within the company. So effectively, everyone sees his own calendar in iCal as read/write and all the other calendars as read- only.
Last week 3 machines were upgraded to Leopard and since then trouble started.
Now, when someone on a Leopard machine creates an event and invites someone who is on a Tiger machine, the Tiger machine can accept the invitation but as soon as it is accepted the event disappears from the Tiger calendar.
As soon as the subscription to the Leopard calendar is removed, the event reappears on the Tiger calendar.
The results are the same when a Tiger user invites a Leopard user on the Tiger machine.
I tried this both with a private server and dotMac.
Does anyone have the same experience and perhaps a solution to it?
Right now the only solution I see is to upgrade all the machines to Leopard.

Although I don't have a solution, I share your pain. I had less problems with iCal even before upgrading to Leopard.
What I can find across forums discussing bugs in iCal for Leopard is that, for the moment, there are a lot of small annoyances regarding alarms, compatibilities and inability to edit items without causing it to crash, amongst other topics.
The frustration level is growing as no sign of help seems to be come from Cupertino until now, the best help is on the forums, by power users themselves.

Content Transfer between WSUS and SCCM client on port 8530

Dear All
In my environment from last few days we are facing an strange situtaion where huge contents is getting transferred between WSUS server and SCCM client on port 8530.
I check logs on client and found that client are getting contents from their associated DP's but still weekly network utlisation report showing that data in GB's was transferred between SCCM primary server and clients on port 8530.
Kindly suggest what else need to check in this scenario

The only other possible traffic from WSUS is actual updates if and only if you have been approving updates directly in WSUS which you should not be doing.
Thus, assuming you are not doing what you should not be doing, the only possibility is the update catalog. 150-200MB sounds excessive but that will be based upon what you all have selected for your catalog. There are also a handful of reasons why a full
catalog resync would be initiated instead of just a delta.

Outside container in place, yet contents moving when zooming and in IE.

Been working on a new page for about a week and have hit a brick wall.
Placed a div container around my entire contents in hopes to keep them locked at all times, however, this is not the case.
In Chrome and Firefox, when zooming in and out, you can see the right side shifting. (And is it me, or does the right column look longer than the left by just a hair???
And in IE, it doesn't even look like my page. WHY?

I trust your opinion and have always learned something from your advice.
I've started with what you have given me, however, I'm almost afraid to touch anything as I'm prone to overthinking or complicating the code.
For example, my current worries are:
1. Do I have to create div's in order to add spacing between the thumb images and text since it falls under one big <p>?
2. The design that you provided is clean and sharp and I love it. But, will I still be able to ultimately have the thumbs populate the larger image in the middle area which will play the Vimeo files?
I guess that's where things spun out of control with my first go at it. I just don't want to move forward without checking with you first.

Difference between thumbnails and previews?

Even before I start Skin Smoothing, AP3 starts and bogs down in 'Generating Thumbnails'. The whole Skin Smoothing adjustment is bogged down with even the smallest application and continues for some time - presumably AP3 has a constant stream of this same process.
But ... what is a thumbnail? Is it the same as a Preview? How are both used by AP3? I fail to see why the 'Generating Thumbnails' needs to done until the adjustment is finished since it degrades the visual of the adjustment being done of the displayed photo.

In Aperture:
Help > Aperture Help (look up thumbnail or preview)
Thumbnails are the small images in the browser. If you just imported an old library or a new set of photos, you should give AP time to generate the thumbnails.

Why does my iPad keep moving between screens and shaking?

No idea why it is doing that, but try rebooting the iPad.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

Can a button be easily moved between Items and Region Position?

When a button is originally defined, we have to choose whether it is to be placed amongst the items in the regions, or placed in a pre-established region position. Once the button is defined in to one of those places or the other, is there any way to "reassign" it into the other location, i.e. move it between "in the items" and "in a region position"?
