Bug. Cropped fullscreen mode in Mac OS X

I have saved my login and password for connection.
Started app, connected to remote desktop, than I put it in native Mac OS X fullscreen mode.
Quitted from app.
After restarting it saved fullscreen mode when I double click on item.

Bottom you can see 10px black line, and top 10px are cropped.

BugReport : System Dead when change display rotation with fullscreen mode app

There is a big bug in fullscreen mode with display rotation.
I find that if you try dispaly rotation after make some app(safari) fullscreen mode then the system crash.
1. I have mac book pro 13Inch Mid 2010,
2. Add one more display (display2)
3. open safari, make fullscreemode at display 2
4. open system preferences > displays > change display 2 rotations setting.
then CRASH and System Dead.

I just have a little question if I choosed compiz it s for there plugin they have, called "scale" that whenever yout put your mouse on a corner its shows all the windows that you have on the current screen. A bit like Mac OS X. I am not a fanatic of Alt TAB to switch windows, and I really find convenient this plugin.
Do you know if it would be possibile such a thing on LXDE openbox with compton ?

Bug's found in fullscreen mode.

Hello i have discovered a bug in flash or in iexplorer the
fullscreen mode.
Problem 1: onMouseUp event fails in fullscreen mode (when
published in html mode).
First of all, when i placed a button on the stage to go
fullscreen the onMouseUp event will not be triggered.
I only listens to the onMouseDown event. Fortuneately the
event of the button (onRelease) will be triggered so i have found a
work around for this. This effect happens when published to an html
only. In firfox and IExplorer.
Problem 2: When using a custom mouse in fullscreen mode, the
mouse will go very slow or shocking..
The second bug has to do with some rendering i think. The
strange thing is when you run the swf localy and you are in
fullscreen mode the mouse will move smooth. But when i publisch it
to html mode and upload this html and look it online, the custom
mouse will move very slow and not smooth. In firefox it moves a lot
better..
Has anyone experienced this problem too and find a work
around?

I can see the menu if I select the screen mode "Full Screen with Menu Bar"
Additionally, why don't you just hit Cmd + Tab (mac) or Alt + Tab (Win) to switch between applications quickly?

Adobe Reader XI fullscreen mode now leaves title bar on Mac

Has anyone run into this problem? I just upgraded Adobe Reader X (for the Mac) to Reader XI. When I go into fullscreen mode or open a fullscreen document, a title bar is left at the top with the document title and the upper left buttons. This did not happen in versions IX or X; kinda defeats the purpose of the fullscreen mode for presentations. Is this a bug? Or a new "feature"? I'm still running Snow Leopard and haven't tried in 10.7 or 10.8.

I am having the very same problem!
Snow Leopard and the annoying title bar when in fullscreen.
Notice that it also shows the resize "handle" in the bottom right corner, which you can click and drag to resize the window.
So it actually is NOT a fullscreen view anymore.
I guess this has to do with Lion's OS fullscreen mode, but Adobe please correct this!!!

My own built fullscreen mode flv player is not working in Mac OS

I built a flv player, it is just a normal video player with a
fullscreen mode.
The video player is work fine in Window IE, FF, and Safari.
But not not working in Mac OS X, leopard & tiger &
May I know what might cause this problem?
I m usng action script 3, flash cs3 & all my browsers
already upgrade to latest version of Flash Player.

I am running Mac OS X 10.10.1 Yosemite and iPhoto Version 9.6 (910.29). Automatic updates in the Mac App Store is turned on for my iMac and it shows no updates available. I was told directly by Apple Support on the date that I wrote this article (Nov 8, 2014) that there were no Canon drivers and photo transfer software that worked with Yosemite. I was told by Canon that the workaround was to change the communication method from Normal to PTP on the camera, which did provide a solution. At that time I was running Mac OS X 10.10 (because the 10.10.1 update was not yet available) and the most up-to-date version of iPhoto for Mac OS X 10.10 that was available at that time, at least per the Mac App Store. With the Mac OS X 10.10.1 update if the camera is in PTP communications mode the thumbnails now appear in the Import screen in iPhoto almost immediately. If the camera is returned to Normal communications mode; however, it takes forever for the thumbnails to appear. I have been waiting 10 minutes and iPhoto has generated only 14 thumbnails. So it appears that there is still something not working properly between the original Canon EOS Digital Rebel and Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.1 when the communications mode on the camera is set to Normal.

Runnning MAC OS X (Lion 10.7.5). I bookmarked sites I frequent to display beneath address bar. Problem: When I go to fullscreen mode, they disappear.

When I go to fullscreen mode, all my bookmarks disappear. When I minimize the window, they reappear.
My question is: How do I keep my bookmarks ontop/displayed so that when I'm in fullscreen mode, I don't have to minimize the window to click on a bookmark then go back to fullscreen mode.
The autohide mode during fullscreen I do not mind just the issue with my bookmarks disappearing during fullscreen mode

Please update to Firefox 17.0.1 then try again. The version you are running is known to be buggy. [[Update Firefox to the latest version]]

App switching in fullscreen mode: Losing Focus

I have my mac running Mountain Lion (Ver 10.8.2) and have noticed that when switching between applications when fullscreen mode is involved that the application I am switching to loses focus.
Scenarios:
Switching from fullscreen app -> fullscreen app
Switching from fullscreen app -> not fullscreen app
Switching from not fullscreen app -> fullscreen app
For all of the above scenarios when the switch is completed, the app I am switching to loses focus, but the application bar still shows the correct application name (so it doesn't just switch to Finder). This happens regardless of if I use a multitouch gesture or CMD+TAB to do the switch. Also, when this happens "CMD + ~" doesn't switch between windows of the application switched to.
I would expect these scenarios to work the same as switching between regular applications where the one you switch to is in focus after the switch. Is this a bug with the fullscreen mode? or is there a setting I missed that can fix it? or is it a "feature"?
I thank you for any help you can provide - this irritating bug makes it impossible for me to use fullscreen mode for my purposes.

That was the problem! I had Live Wallpaper installed and running, so I guess I won't use that until there is an update to fix te problem.

Flash SA Projector crashes when in fullscreen mode

I've created a Flash SA Projector, it's a slideshow of sorts. It is on a timer and changes "slides" every 12 secs. It runs great inf Fullscreen Mode and normal mode. It is self running and I've let it run by itself for several hours. However, it crashes a few different cases and I'd like to know if any one can tell me why. This is happening on a new Mac Mini (Mac OS 10.7.2) - using Flash Player 10.3.183.11
Case 1: It's running in fullscreen mode and the computer goes to sleep. I wake up the computer and see the error message: "Flash Player quit unexpectedly".
Case 2: It's running in fullscreen mode and I switch applications (using Alt-Tab) - Crash! Does it when I switch to Finder or Safari. However, if I pause my application (it's a self running "slideshow"), so the timer is not running and no animations are happening, when I switch to a different application, it simple pops out of fullscreen mode and doesn't crash.
Is this a problem/bug with Flash Player? Anyone know a solution to this issue?

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

Photoshop CS4 Menu toolbar display bug and fullscreen slowness...

I'm having a display bug with the menu toolbar in Photoshop CS4 Extended. Notice the area of tools is gone and replaced by random pixels? This happens whenever I enter the fullscreen mode that hides the interface. And when I exit that fullscreen mode, that bug appears and doesn't fix itself until I restart Photoshop. Can this be fixed?
Image view rotation also happens much slower than normal in that fullscreen mode when interface is hidden. But performs normally after I bring back the interface.
I'm on WinXP, Athlon 64 4000+, 3GB ram, GeForce 6800 GT video card [driver 169.21]. I'm not sure if this is a video driver bug or CS4 bug.

Yeah, Dave, I can understand how that can happen. I've seen that sort of weirdness when I've seriously overtaxed my hardware.
 
 Had way too much running all at once yesterday, switched over to Firefox, and clicking on folders in the Bookmarks bar, I had 4 bookmark/folder menus dropped simultaneously.
 
 I managed to grab a screenshot with 2 of them showing, but man! You shoulda seen it with 4!
 
 I ESC'ed out, quit GarageBand (had a song project of several hundred MB going) and all was fixed.

Buttons not working in fullscreen mode

Hi everyone,
I have a site where our Flash content can be sent to fullscreen by the user. When in fullscreen mode, in some computers the buttons within the content and the mouse stop working completely. It still exits from fullscreen by clicking the escape buttons.
I have a Win XP computer where it works in Firefox and IE but won't work within Chrome. They both have the latest player installed.
I have a Windows Vista where it does not work in any browser.
On a Linux box (version 10,1,53,64) it works on any browser.
On another Win XP computer with version 10.0.45.2 it works with any browsers.
On some Macs it works, on some it doesn't.
The swf file was produced with Flash CS3.
Any ideas?

For that matter, the "return to menu" which is set to a Main button type, isn't working either. that is one of the three. After i had removed the damaged button and copied it from another it worked. Then i simply edited the text of a different button (mind you one that still works) and the "return to menu" quit along with the bottom 2 buttons. I just can't figure it out. I have shut the app down and restarted and nothing seems to be working

Graphics and Fullscreen Mode

Has anyone had problems with graphics and Fullscreen mode? I have a .png to show what im talking about if that helps. and also if it helps i had just gotten out of full screen mode.

Need a liitle more clarrification on what the problem is.
Most graphics would open in Preview by default.
Is that a Desktop background?

Problem with Fullscreen mode

Hello. I have problem with Fullscreen mode in Pages 09. Let me explain it. I launch Pages 09 on space nr 4, than i activate fullscreen mode and now when fullscreen is active i switch for example to space nr 2. And what happens? Pages also moves to space nr 2, but i don't want to move my pages to space nr 2. I guess it is a bug in Pages 09. Thank you for your advice.

By the sounds of this behaviour you haven't set any space options for Pages within System Preferences (Expose and Spaces Pane). After experimenting with different options this is what I experience:
1. Pages not listed in application assignment in spaces Preferences - Enter full screen in pages, switch from one space to another pages window will follow and exit fullscreen (this sounds like what you are experiencing).
2. Pages set to every space in app assignment - Enter full screen in pages, switch from one space to another and pages will follow but wont exit full screen.
3. Pages set to a single space in app assignment - Enter full screen in pages, switch from one space to another using control and arrow keys pages will pull me back into the space it is set to and will exit fullscreen. Using the control and number keys pages will stay in its set space but upon returning to that space pages had exited fullscreen.
I suggest you add pages to the the spaces application assignment in System Preferences by clicking the plus arrow under the list of apps and select a specific space for pages to open in, once open Pages will only move from this space if you move it manually.

I often can't open the fullscreen mode in YouTube (OS X Lion) What can I do ?

Since the last 2 weeks I have some problems with YouTube in Safari. I use the newest version of it and OS X Lion.
The problem is ,like mentioned it in the overhead, that I often can't open the fullscreen mode. This also happens with
videos that have 1080p resolution. Where is the problem ? Does others have this problem too ?

YouTube requires the Flash plugin. Try uninstalling the current copy of the plugin then reinstall new. Instructions here > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
If that doesn't help, delete Flash cookies > Flush.app – Flash Cookie Removal Tool For OS X | MacHacks.TV
And go to your Safari menu bar click Safari > Empty Cache
And from the menu bar again, click Safari > Reset Safari
Select the top 5 boxes then click Reset.

X11 fullscreen mode broken in Leopard - fix available / planned?

Is there already a fix available?
if not is a fix of this problem planned?
As we can see here: http://aaroniba.net/articles/x11-leopard.html it is possible to install Tigers X11, but I´d prefer a fix of the version, which comes with Leopard.

There is a fake way.
To fake fullscreen support with Xephyr:
$ Xephyr -ac -fullscreen :9 &
$ DISPLAY=:9 twm&
$ DISPLAY=:9 xterm &
It works ok on mine.

How to stop exiting fullscreen mode

I am having a problem with a projector I just published for
Windows.
I am using AS2 Flash Player 8 because of all the bugs with
AS3.
My projector opens fine in fullscreen mode using
fscommand("fullscreen", "true");
On one frame I have a button that has fscommand("exec",
"myApp.exe"); This works fine as well.
The problem is that while launching the application my
projector leaves fullscreen mode and becomes a smaller window.
Is there any way to stop this from happening? I have
projectors that were created in Flash Player 6 where this problem
doesn't occur. I can't publish this in FP6 because it has FLVs.
