Help me please, strange problem, after I download a torrent program, or Steam, and others (except browsers) after using the computer for a long time off, the screen turns off, and the fans, lights are working, and just clicking on feeding it possible to cut . Without the benefit of such programs does not. How to fix it?

First thing I want you to try is to run a hardware test just to make sure you’re not having any physical problems with any of your equipment
Steps:
1.       Turn off your laptop
2.       About a second or two before turning it on press and hold the escape key.
3.       It should boot you up to the startup menu
4.       Once there release the key, and then press the F2 key.
5.       That should put you on the diagnostic screen,.
6.       This page has recently changed, so if you see startup test go ahead and run that, if you see component test go there. (if you end up in this section run a test on the hard drive, memory, cpu, system board, video, again this section has been recently changed so some of these options might not be there.)

App Store bug downloading Yosemite needs fix

I have the same problem as elsewhere reported on this forum - downloading Yosemite repeatedly stops at 870 MB, and it is not due to a limit from my ISP. I have since downloaded multiple files >1.5GB in size via my browser, without the slightest problem. 1.5GB>870MB. QED.
I have deleted the partial copy, restarted the Mac, restarted the App Store, restarted my router. Nothing works. It sticks at 870MB. But it continues to generate network traffic that consumes data (>10GB overnight until I stopped it!). This has cost me at lleast $20 extra on this month's bill.
There is plenty of free space (>75GB). There is plenty of RAM (16GB). Yes, my computer is plugged in.
Elsewhere it is suggested to simply switch to another ISP. I live in a rural area and can't do this. It is also suggested to go to a wifi hotspot somewhere. I have a Mac Pro and can't do this. I have high-capacity iPads and an iPhone, but these are no help because Yosemite is available only through the MAC App Store.
This problem is a bug in the App Store, and Apple needs to fix it. It is not an ISP problem.

I have the same problem on my iMac. I was able to download and install OS X 10.10 Yosemite on my macbook pro retina. i went to my iMac and when I enter my Apple ID and Password (which is correct), it says "Your device or computer could not be verified. Contact support for assistance". It won't let me download Yosemite. FWIW, I can start up iTunes and log in with my Apple ID and Password without any problem.
Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

Serious BUG - Downloaded Movie Disappeared

I just purchased a movie, started watching it immediately, and a half hour into the movie I paused the movie. I returned to watch the move 30 minutes later, and it had completely disappeared And it was purchased less than two hours ago.
To continue watching it I have to rent it again. This is a serious bug. Has anyone experienced this before? Any fixes? I tried "Check Downloads" but it says there is nothing to download. How does one get a movie rental refund?

You should contact iTunes store support and explain what happened. They will probably either authorize you to download it again or give you a credit to use to rent it again.

ITunes 7.0.1 bug downloading podcasts

There seems to be a bug in iTunes 7.0.1 when downloading podcasts. I download about five or six podcasts and it seems to always mark one of the podcast episodes as downloaded, but the podcast is grey'ed out and will not play.
There is a work around, but it's a pain in the butt. If I unsubscribe, delete the greyed podcast and then resubscribe and re-download I can usually get it back. It doesn't appear to matter if you unsubscribe first and then delete or if you delete and then unsubscribe.
Uggg! That's my bug report for the day.

every now and then itunes downloads a podcast but it will not play it-
it is greyed out and not ticked...

Bug:Downloading pdf file from the web,file name in dialog box populates with incorrect file name

Hi Gurus
When downloading any pdf file from the web using adobe Reader X the file name dialog box populates with incorrect file name
compared to the saved file name of the document downloaded.
Clarity
1. Download any pdf file from the web
2. Click File, Save as note the populated File Name
3. Compare the populated file name with the saved file name of the documant yuo are downloading.
4. The file Name is incorrect...
Is there any work around on this issue?Can someone please help?..

I've tried a couple of other versions and still get the same results...

Are you downloading the file (right-click, save link as), or just opening it by clicking it?
If the latter, then what happens is the file is loaded to the temporary internet files folder by IE and assigned a temporary name, which is then used when you're trying to save it.
You can test this out by going to File - Document Properties before trying to save and looking at the file's location.

Email Bug Downloading 1 of 1

With a iPhone4 and iOS4 software my email shows constantly "Downloading 1 of 1 " under the ALL INBOXES screen. It does not show when I check each email account.

I don't know if this is the same problem I was having but I did have the "Downloading 1 of 1" for about 3 days with no email coming in. I also notices that my mail was stuck and no new emails were coming in.
I tried all the solutions noted above and they did not work.
I think I've fixed it and here's how:
I went to my email via the web brower and found a little 1kb email from no one and to no one from about 3 days ago. (right when the problem started) This email wasn't downloaded and for some reason could not be downloaded by Mail on my computer or Mail on my phone. (Mail on my computer was fine)
I deleted the email from my email server and emptied out of my trash and volia.... the emails started flowing in on my Iphone.

Catalog path is your server path where you find the catalog folder.
What you mean client version?. Admin tool version?..Also I dont suggest to use 11.1.1.5 version which has got many number of bugs.Download the latest version i.e 11.1.1.7.

When i install Arch, i was want that all aplications in my system will be lightweight... then for the musica i use mpd and ncmpc, but mpd or ncmpc doesn't have a method to notify when something change for example the new change on play.

Very nice work! I would LOVE to see this with a plugin-based system. Here's a pseudocode example:
when song_changes
for executable_file in plugin_directory; do
run executable_file with_parameters song_name song_artist (etc)
Just check if a file in plugin_directory has +x permission, and if so, run it. You could make the "default" plugin use your libnotify action, and anyone who wanted to extend it with their own could do so.

When I try to use Diagnostics, I get the message:
"You do not have SBLi've! installed on your computer.
Read the FAQs and the numerous strings on Diagnostics, etc. Checked on known bugs, downloads, etc. But nothing there has shown me any way to fix this one. Happened after full system restore to XP-HE, then SP2, but before Windows Updates.
Card installed - Device Manager = fine.(All old/onboard audio/spkrs off)
Programs installed from CD fine. At least no "failure or error" messages.
And I have sound-out to amplified system. No problem, right?
I can open any program in the package (EAX, Mixer, HQ, MIDI, etc.) but...
Here's the rub: No Help (or ?Mark) will open, and...
When I try to use Diagnostics, I get the message:
"You do not have SBLi've! installed on your computer.
I can change presets, go back to original(for the board)and the sound is fine. Dlls are there, drivers are there, program is in Program Files, but can't use diagnostics or any help/? items. I've uninstalled/re-installed, checked bios, explored program CD, searched dri've(s), removed remaining "pieces" left by add/remove pgms, correct drivers in right folder, etc.
Anybody got an idea on this one?

FEATURE REQUEST: Email options for fighting SPAM and reading...

OKAY: Yahoo has it, Gmail has it, Hotmail has it.... why not the iPhone? I don't want it downloading images in my emails unless I say so.... often, I accidently open a spam message on this thing, and now the image bug download has told them it's a working address! Can we please get the protective feature of disabling external image downloading?
Ah, and how about a way to filter out unread emails? And search? And mark as unread? And...
And just ONE MORE icon to put on the toolbar at the bottom of the Springboard? I know there's room..... it's a good spot to put a new "customizable button" that, say, turns on/off Airplane mode? Or opens Settings? Or opens a web link? Or starts a blank email? Hint hint......

Your ideas are good but this is not how to suggest them to Apple. You need to go to the feedback link and send them to Apple. It would be best if you submitted each one seperately with an explaination.

Drag File From Safari Download Window to Other Volume - Moves not Copies File - Bug or Feature ?

Appreciate comment on what I thought was unusual Mac OS behavior. Running Safari 5.1.5, OS 10.6.8.
Mac OSs in my experience copy a file when it is dragged and dropped to another volume/drive. (Let's leave classic desktop out of this.)
It may be the first time I've ever done it in any version of Safari, but just dragged a file directly from the Safari Downloads panel onto another drive's icon - and it appeared to "move" the file from its original download destination to the other drive and not simply copy it onto the other drive.
Didn't look like a copy and standard Finder delete since I didn't see file in the trash, although it was gone from the finder window for the download folder (Desktop in my prefs), and afterwards Safari Download Window magnifying glass icon "can’t show the file “filename” in the Finder because “filename” has moved since you downloaded it." It's reproducible.
Assuming it's not unique to my configuration, is this a bug or "feature" ?

From the Safari Menu Bar click Safari/Preferences then select the General tab.
You can deselect: Open "safe" files after downloading.

BUG: iTunes Reporting Section Doubling Download Metrics

I've found what seems to be a bug on the reporting section of the iTunes U metrics and am wondering if anyone else is experiencing this.
I have attached a video to demonstrate what is happening, but essentially if I start counting metrics from Jan 2012, which is when Apple switched over to their new reporting system, the system doubles our number of downloads (among other things). If we start counting from Feb 2012 through the present, the metrics seem to be consistent with what Apple shows me on the front summary page.

Sorry that I couldn't be of more help. Just for grins I tried the sequence again on a different Mac (MacBook Air, 10.8.2) with the same results...no change in the numbers.
Just as an experiment, have you tried resetting Safari? It might be worth a try. All the best...
