Bug:File Browser Doesn't refresh

One a directory is opened in the file browser, it can't be refreshed without restarting sqldeveloper.
1 Open a directory in the file browser.
2 Create an additional file in the directory outside of sqldeveloper
3 Try to make the new file appear.
Closing and opening the directory doesn't work
Clicking on what looks like a refresh button (two arrows ina circle) doesn't work.

I cannot confirm this, everything works fine for me...
What JDK are you using?
I am runnin 1.5.1.5440 with JDK 6 Update 6...
Although now that I look at the file browser it has incredibly limited functionality (context menu). A READ-Only File Browser? Come on...

  • File Browser doesn't display when Flex page is opened via showModalDialog IE9 on 64-bit system

From a html page, we open a flex page using showModalDialog.
Once flex page is launched, we have a button to open windows file browser.
When you click on the button, windows file browser opens as expected.
However, if you use IE 9 on 64-bit machines, windows file browser does not open and IE crashes.
If you use other versions and even IE9 on 32-bit system, file browser dialog shows up correctly.
When examining in flex code, the call to FileReference object's browse() returns true so I'm assuming Flex code is thinking browse window is opened.
We do not want to use showModalessDialog, is there any other soltuions to this issue?

  • File Browser doesn't show files

I am trying to pull some of my pictures from my Media Hub but can't seem to do it.
All of the pictures show in the Home view but when I go the the File Browser...no files show up in the folders. The folders are on the left but when I click to open any of them there is nothing in them.
I have checked my settings but can't figure out what I am doing wrong....

Check under the "import" folder in the file browser, your pictures might be stored there if you used the import tool.
    Cheers.

  • JApplet in browser doesn't refresh

    Hi -
I'm putting together an applet which currently contains only a few JButtons in a container. When the browser is minumized and then maximized, the buttons do not redisplay. Functionally, they're still there (they respond if I click in the right place), but they don't show up.
What technique to I need to use to refresh the browser window? Is there a FAQ?
    Thanks!

    got it.

  • Media Browser doesn't refresh Aperture images

This just started happening recently. The old behaviour was -- iWeb is already open, I open Aperture, add images, and the media browser in iWeb would pick up the new images within a few seconds.
Now the only way I can get the media browser to show the new images is to exit and restart iWeb.
Any way to get the automatic media browser refresh working again?

Have you tried reapplying the following:

  • File Browser - Grrrrrr!

One of the most annoying things about Photoshop and my machine is that is resets stuff without my knowledge. Today when I opened Photoshop (v 7.0) none of my typical windows (toold, layers, history, etc) were open, so I reset everything, but now the File Browser won't show up as a tap (next to brushes) at the top menu. It will only open as a separate window. There are no help topics on this and nothing I could find in the forums. Grrrrrrr. I feel like I'm resetting this ever six months, but it usually lets me put it in the tab. It's never done this before.
I'm running on a OS X v 10.4.11 is that matters. Any help would save my hair from getting pulled out. I mean, this is such a simple thing and it's driving me nuts.

Have you tried Window --> Workspace --> Save Workspace after setting your palettes in the positions you desire? Once you do so, a dialog box will prompt you to name the Workspace and then it will show up as a choice in your Workspace menu.
The File Browser doesn't close to the well automatically. If you want it to stay there, click on the little arrow in its upper right corner and choose Dock to Palette Well.

  • Open Cursor Issue because of file browse Item - Is this a Bug in APEX 3.2

    Hi All,
I am using file browse Item to upload file into the database at two places in my application, but it seems whenever I am submitting those two pages, with file path or without file path, its opening an cursor which remains open after that, because of this open cursor count in the application is getting exceeding every time.
For testing this I have made an dummy page containing just file browse item and submit button, and still it is increasing the open cursor count.
Is this a bug in Apex file browse item or there is some other way to handle this.
Please kindly help me in the above issue as this is affecting the production application.
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi,
One observation, Apex is switching the Session ID after one got killed ? I was working on Apex page with browse Item to test open cursor count,
after killing the SID (227) on which the open cursor count was getting increase, it APEX automatically switches to new SID(149) for that session.
Now the problem is even if I have two SID's and one hits the maximum open cursor count, It is not switching to other SID instead the whole application becomes unavailable.

  • Bug: The message list doesn't refresh SOLVED caused by HWA (hardware assist)

I am using the latest Thunderbird from the beta channel, v38. I was seeing this in the stable release channel as well, so I thought I'd try the beta channel to see if it was fixed there, but it was not.
The issue is that the message list doesn't refresh all the time when switching folders. If I an in my Inbox folder, for example, and then select my Junk folder, the message list will not update/refresh, until I drag my mouse over the message list. Then, it will refresh line-by-line as the mouse enters each line.
I am on Windows 7 64-bit, with an i5 processor and 8 GB RAM. Nothing else on my system is running slow. This will happen when Thunderbird is the only app running. I also have a skin applied to my UI. I've tried a few different skins, and this behavior happens with all of them.
A second issue I noticed this morning was that when I received a new email, the entire app seemed to freeze momentarily while the notification for this new email was spawned. As soon as the notification became visible, the app because responsive again. Perhaps a threading issue here.

    Hi Matt,
    Thanks for the quick reply.
"The last issue is probably your anti virus diving in an scanning the new mail as it is added to a very large mail file. Right click the folder and select properties. What is the size on disk?"
Folder properties on my Inbox folder says:
    Number of messages: 1038
    Size on disk: 90.9 MB
"With regard to your first problem, I am seeing that on the daily built as well, on an intermitent basis, but not on change of folder, only on dragging the mouse over the existing list."
Yes, it is intermittent for me as well. I just recalled that the last time I saw it was when I changed folders. It may not be limited to that situation.

  • File browsing bug?

    Hi
Today a bunch of nice Chinese hackers were trying to get remote access to my tomcat server (6.0.24).
I booted them out after a few minute they were in trying to load their root kit package. The interesting part is, after I cleaned everything, I took a quick look at their software (their rootkit webapp) and it's pretty interesting.
The root kit gives the user total access to the system and allowing the user to traverse outside of the tomcat container. What is bothering me, even though Tomcat is running on top of JVM, why didn't Tomcat developers protect against access outside of its own container?? From that webapp i could access the drive root like it's just a regular file browser, and execute commands as SYSTEM (equivalent to root user in linux based systems), doesn't make any sense in my mind.
is this an expected behavior or did I miss something in the security configurations?
The root kit is a modified JFilder class. I cannot attach a file here but I can send it by email if anybody wants to install it on their system to play around with it offline.
    best!

Tomcat runs on a JVM and the JVM generally has full system access, except the parts you protect on the OS level of course.
However, it is possible to install security policies in the JVM itself - a good example of that is the sandbox in which Java Applets run which is severely limited. So with some work you can protect your system in any way you want.

  • File browser bug?

Ok, so here i got a problem with photoshop elements organizer 10 on Win 7 x64 pro
I press Crtl-alt-3 to open the file browser but when i click on the small arrow to open a sub-folder it bring me back to top of the file browser... since i got a lot of files... it's quite annoying to scroll back down each times to get a picture
I also looked on many forum but i didnt find anything about that... so whats wrong, is it a config in the option or a corrupted file and need a re-install or it is really a bug in the code...   I also have done every up-to-date about the software
Thank you for considering my post

Try Ctrl+Alt+2 and see if it’s any easier to work with import batches, otherwise you need to simplify your folder structure. Better still use Ctrl+Alt+1 and work with keywords and albums, then it’s possible to use the full power of the Organizer by searching the entire catalog in thumbnail view.
In PSE 11 it’s possible to switch between the full folder tree and just the folders managed by Elements.

  • Upload file in web - data doesn't refresh

Hi, we have implemented the how-to doc for uploading a file via the web.  The upload works great, but it doesn't refresh properly.  On the layout, we have a button to upload the file.  Once the upload has taken place and we save it, the layout doesn't show the data even if we refresh.  I have to leave the WIB and get back into it to see the data.  Has anyone experienced this and is there a solution to this?
    Thanks
    Kory

    Hello,
I used this code to resolve the same problem
                 if ( l_subrc = 0 ).
                   call function 'API_SEMBPS_POST'
                     importing e_subrc = l_subrc
                               es_return = ls_msg.
                   if ( l_subrc = 0 ).
                     call function 'API_SEMBPS_REFRESH'
                     importing e_subrc = l_subrc
                               es_return = ls_msg.
                     if ( l_subrc = 0 ).
                        cl_upwb=>set_parameter( param = 'buffer_changed'
    value = 'X' ).
                     else.
                       append ls_msg to lt_msg.
                     endif.
                   else.
                     append ls_msg to lt_msg.
                   endif.
                 endif.

  • Why doesn't apple offer a viewer/file browser for iCloud Drive?

Why doesn't apple offer a viewer/file browser for iCloud Drive?
Dropbox, Microsoft’s OneDrive, and Google Drive all have viewer apps that let you see and manage what’s in the drive.  The only way you can do that with iCloud Drive is through a web browser.  Very frustrating and backward.

I found a possible band-aid for our problem:
    1) On iOS 8 Device, go to Safari / iCloud.com
    2) Once you get to iCloud.com, you'll notice it won't give you the option to log in.
    3) Tap on the URL bar (this should bring up your bookmarks bar and Frequently Visited Sites)
    4) Tap, Hold, and Slide your finger down on that section (this will reveal two options: (1) Add to Favorites, and (2) Request Desktop Site
    5) Tap Request Desktop Site
Log in as usual, and you can now access iCloud Drive with your PDFs and other documents like any other computer.
I too am disappointed as I was looking forward to view PDF's shared between my Macbook and my iPad, but I think this should work until Apple comes out with a solution.

  • File Browse encoding bug

Hi! Searched through Known Issues but haven't found anything like this:
Apex Listener 1.10.179.10.43. Tested on both Tomcat and Glassfish.
My Apex 3.2 application works with russian-language DB, so all pages are with cyrillic chars.
Initially all pages display fine in utf-8.
But when I try to submit page with File Browse Item in it, the encoding of all subsequent data posted or fetched from DB is in wrong character set (cp1251 instead of utf-8).
If I submit normal page with text items and cyrillic data all workes fine, but not when there's File Browse(
I've tried to fix it with filter (described in Re: Accentuated characters problem but no success(((
    Any suggestions??

solved with setting Server java parameter
    -Dfile.encoding=UTF-8

  • 3.1EA1 File browser bug?

When I load the Files browser/viewer, it seems to hang when expanding various folder that previously were handled without a problem. I just get the loading... text but nothing ever happens. At this point, the only way for me to load files is via just using File/Open... Is anyone else experiencing this?

Thanks for the info on running it from the command line - I hadn't done that before. Here is the dump:

  • Excel Services 2013 Bug - Automatic or Periodic Data Refreshes Doesnt Update

    All,
I have heard from other colleagues that there is a problem with SP2013 Excel Services Automatic Refresh.  Specifically, when you set the data connection properties to
Refresh data when opening a file, no error is generated upon open, but it DOES NOT refresh the spreadsheet with new data.
Manual Refresh First.  What I did to test this was configure an AS tabular model with AdventureWorksDW as the data source.  Loaded the AdventureWorks Tabular project.  Created an ODC pointing to the resulting cube instance.
(Made all of the required Excel Services configurations.) Then pointed a workbook to this data source to populate a Pivot Table.  Saved it to SharePoint in a trusted location.  ODC saved to SharePoint in a trusted data connection library.  Finally,
I configured the connection properties to NOT Refresh data when opening the file.  Saved it.  Go to my in browser Excel Services file, and click
Data | Refresh All Connections.  WORKS!  Great.
Next up: Automatic Data Refresh.  I made a copy of the same workbook.  Connected to the same data connection file.  Went into the properties of the connection on the copied workbook and checked
Refresh data when opening the file.  Saved.  Updated relational data in database.  Reprocessed the tabular model.  Re-opened the Automatic refresh workbook.  Numbers stay the same.
I've tried also setting Refresh every setting on
Usage tab of Connection Properties dialog to low number.  No change.  Tried reducing the Excel Services External Data Cache Lifetime auto refresh setting to 10 seconds.  Nothing, no change.  Nothing seems to work to get Auto refresh
working.  Manual refresh works great.  Has anyone else seen this bug?  Is there a hot fix?  Anyone know if there is something else to try?
UPDATE: In the ULS log, what we see if the following line:
BaseWorkbook.PrepareConnectionsAsync: Refresh skipped. Could not find the data connection name - defaulting to previous state. sessionId=..., dataconnection=
Note: the dataconnection value at the end is empty.

    Hi,
Thank you for your question. I am trying to involve someone familiar with this topic to further look at this issue. There might be some time delay. Appreciate your patience. Thank you for your understanding and support.
    Thanks,
