Bug in Nokia 3110c firmware

Theses a bug in the Nokia 3110c version 7.21, related to log. My phone's log showed 'Data recieved in last session' is 114256785kb, and 'All recieved data' is just 5865427kb, how can that be possible? All recieved data is always greater or equal to data recieved in last session.

Dude! all recieved is always higher as u said.. But after when it reached its limit. It agains switch to zero. And starts again. Like in ma 3110c ive noticed the same...

Bugs in Nokia ME firmware v3.0705.1.0.31

I've found some bugs on firmware v3.0705.1.0.31 RM-133 for the N73 Music Edition, thought they are worth mentioning for possible resolution in the next revision for the ME:
If you have auto-redial turned on which doesn't actually work, instead when dialling a number if the network gives a recorded message or the number is busy (network busy tone), the phone doesn't allow you to hang up by pressing the end key. In the UK, my operator's announcements and busy/error tones time out but whilst over on holiday in Norway and roaming on NetCom, I had to reboot the phone to end the recorded message!
Another issue is with the Bluetooth, when using the phone in Bluetooth mode through the CK-7W car kit. The phone doesn't drop the car radio mute when ending the call, resulting in your car radio remaining silent or in 'call' mode.
I've also found is that when the phone is in the car connected to the CK-7W via the pop-port and the screen is lit, if someone calls and they end the call, then the lights go out! Pressing any button on the phone will re-activate the backlight and it will then stay on continously again. If you end the call by pressing 'end' before they hang up, then this is not a problem and the backlight stays on.
Something else I've noticed on the N73 versus the 6680 I used to have is that the sound quality of calls through the pop-port on the car kit does not sound anywhere near as good as you'd expect from other Nokia's like the N70 or N80 etc. Music from the player sounds fine, it's just the call quality that sounds very shrill and tinny.

New bugs in Nokia 6680 Firmware version 5.04.07 (1...

I've recently upgraded the firmware in my 6680 via my PC to the latest Nokia firmware (was originally running 4.04.07) and since doing this I've spotted two possible bugs.
The first is in the call log whereby the phone stops adding called numbers to the dialled, missed and received logs. Closing and re-opening the call log application on the phone doesn't clear this problem. When the phone is power-cycled (i.e. rebooted) the previous dialled calls re appear in the log. So far I've only spotted this problem once on Saturday, since I upgraded the software the previous Friday morning.
The second bug is a bit more frustrating whereby the phone appears to stop responding to voice commands. I use my phone a lot when driving with the CK-7W car kit, both in Bluetooth and wired mode depending how far I'm going. Twice now when I've pressed the remote button to activate voice dialling I've instantly got an error tone despite all the voice tags present on numbers stored in the phone. Again, power-cycling the phone seems to clear the problem.

Further to my previous post on this, it appears that with the new firmware v5.04.07 my voice activated dialling stops working completely after a period of time when the phone has been turned on. If I reboot the phone the voice dialling and commands will work initially (using the Nokia remote button on the CK-7W), however after 3 or 4 hours of the phone being on it stops responding.
The problem manifests itself when I've been at work all day and the phone has been out of my car and left turned on. Later in the day when I travel back in my car and try to use voice activated dialling, I find it stops working and just gives me an error tone. I never had this problem with v4.04.07 installed on my phone and I find it quite frustrating as I can't even answer the phone remotely when it rings in the car!
I presume people from Nokia read these forums, please could you get your software engineers to look in to this for us as otherwise I'll have to take the phone back under warranty to an NSC and see if there's anyway the firmware can be rolled back to v4.04.07.

PS: Apart from this problem, v5.04.07 is a much better software release and my phone and it's features in general work much better. I also like the way when pressing 'send' on the phone, it now doesn't mute my car radio until the call has successfully established on the network and starts ringing etc.

you can updaye your mobile firmware with the help of nokia software updater. download the nokia software updater from the web,its free so no probs, then connect your nokia mobile to your pc with USB cable and run the software updater it will scan and check your phone model and will show the firmware which will be avalable then press update buton and it will start updating your phones firmware. NOTE:- dont deattach your phone from your PC or dont stop the update or your phone will go dead. remove mem. card before update and move all your contacts to the sim memory. all the data stored in your phone memory will be erased.

i've firmware 5.50 and have trouble with my memory (restart etc). i've read all topic to fix it , but doesn t work.
i saw on internet that the firmware 6.60 was out since few weeks in east asia.
when will it be released on NSU? it seems to fix the memory bug "Support for new memory component"

If you got your phone from an operator then the chances are that it's a branded phone.

Nokia 3110C Firmware upgrade

Hi, I'm using a Nokia3110c model. This device is continuosly giving some problem. When i'm switching off and on the message will be deleted, setting will be chnaged automatically. Already the calculater facility gone I did reinstall the firmware. But still i'm seeing the same problem. Calculater not there. The default ringtones, themes, images... nothing there. .. and after successfully reinstalled the firmware, i'm able to see my Contacts and calender entries...
Please help me.. how to get this device formatted.... I need the software fresh like new phone.. Please help me....

Nokia 3110c firmware v. 07.01

Anyone who has gotten version 07.01 and installed it pls give me the details of the firmware, its features and such. I got the firmware in pending at the updater site, i just want to be sure.

Nokia released firmware 51.018 for E52 6 months ago.This broke N-Gage and games which were paid for can not be activted.The problem is not corrected in later updates.
Firmware v52,v53,v54.Nokia Care centers tell me its Network problem.I have tested 5 E52s and it is a firmware problem.Mailing to ASK nokia does not reult in bug getting known to programmers either.They lecture me about correct settings.

The bugs of N95-1 firmware v.20.0.015:
(Software bugs)
1. After many times connect and disconnect jack 3.5 stereo cable or media cable a phone hangs or restart.
2. If run music player and call update library & switch to main menu, the music player hangs & close it's self after few seconds. After this hangs & self close no one music track can't be play. ( It's fixed after restart phone ).
3. Put to SD card to Music folder few files. Run the music player & update library - we have add new tracks to library. Exit from music player, remove music files that has been add to SD and run the music player again. Update library again - result 0 files add (it's right), but files that has been removed still in media library and do ways for clear library!
4. Turn the camera ring for run camera applicatio. The Camera application has runed. Make one foto using button on phone body. After shot we see the foto preview. Don't close application and turn back the camera ring - must be close camera application and preview - but preview has closed but camera application still runing and we see black screen ( because camera lense has closed).
( may be present any other bugs - i think bugs on N95-1 more that i print...)

I state in Russia in Saint-Petersburg - it's big sity ( second after Moscow), but i run the GPS maps application or GPS-data, or Google Maps, & GPS receiver very poor take the satelites signals! I try run it's in difference locations & on open landscape & in vilage & on hi levels houses - but GPS try connection and get satelites information more that 30minutes and one or two times applications will taked information about one or two satelites no more ( on test positions has been connection to EDGE with 3G support and turn on A-GPS ) !!!
THAT's THIS??? NOKIA YOU MUST RESPONCE FOR YOU PRODUCTS AND THEN YOU APPROVE ABOUT THAT N95 CAN USING GPS NAVIGATION!!!
Also too very slow N95-1 work with SD card and other memory stores!!! It's very poor for Smartphone!!! No one devices not have so very poor transfer with memory store!!!

ive installed v 6.60 on my phone (don't ask me how)
the fullscreen mode in video works really now
for the bluetooth i've not tested yet.
btw it seems to be little more quick to read the memory card

Nokia 6303c Firmware and Prblms!!1

I have some prblms with Nokia 6303c , currently installed firmware 9.10, ometimes browsing theme folder or senting messages the phone automatically restarts , another prblm Camera has some lines when in low light is it a 3.2MP, image taken in good lihjting conditions seems Blured loss of detail, and internel memory is very low 17mb , plz it should be fixed and The ringtone volume and sms alert volume is low, when compared to even Nokia 2700c, i know there is later firmware update is available which is 10.12 , but i saw a comment tat it will reduce camera quality, so i did not update it, and plz give a better firmware updates...

Nokia 3110c does not save contacts on SIM card

Hello,
I just bought a nokia 3110c. It apparently have the most recent uptodate software (05.50) and the update check says it is up-to-date.
I found this strange bug:
I create a new contact in the address book and save it into my SIM card (a 128KB sim card by Italian provider TIM).
The contact is there.
Now when I turn off the phone, and then I turn it on again, the last contact I inserted is gone, disappeared.
It happens only with the LAST contact I saved, that is if I create -lets say- 3 new contacts, the first 2 will be maintained while the last one will be lost after I turn off and then on again the phone.
It behaves the same also if I first save the contact into the phone memory and the MOVE it into the SIM card memory.
Have you verified this same bug?

I am in india with BSNL East as my operator.I also have an active GPRS connection.

The only ones I know of and have used are iFiles, Dropbox, and Aji Reader. My Yahoo Calendar also syncs with the native iphone calender app over the air.
Pardon my ignorance, but the iFile and Aji Reader apps require a wi-fi connection. I'm not sure that constitutes an OTA app or not.

3110c Firmware updated, lost chinese display

Dear all, recently I had update my 3110c firmware to ver V07.21 which is the latest firmware, but sad to say my phone now cant display chinese word can don't have chinese input.
Can I know how to install back the chinese display and input format?

Sadly the shop you bought it from has sold you a modified import. They import them from elsewhere then modify the firmware to include the regional languages. This process also voids the warranty.
When the phone is updated it rightly defaults back to the set of languages that it should have originally been installed on it.
To get Chinese back on the phone you will either have to contact the retailer that sold it to you or a nokia care point. You can find details of your nearest care point via the "contact us" link near the top of the page.
Any other unofficial ways of adding languages that you may read about on other forums cannot be discussed here.

Nokia 5800 firmware update! cannot update to ver.2...

I tried to update my Nuked!5800(sorry bout tht catchname,but looks like its going to be nuked anyway after I update, coz of some serious bugs in the newest firmware!) by FOTA, but after searching for update it said no current updates available,I got ver.11 which I sucessfully updated last time from the first version. I want to update to ver.20, but cant.
as I'm located in the middle east, can tht be the reason tht its still not available here? but tht cant b coz its already released here. then how come I still cannot update over the Air??
Any suggestions???

Nokia doesnt provide update by FOTA for v.20 in middle east at the moment. But you can update it via Nokia Software Updater by logging on to www.nokia.com/softwareupdate
