Bug in the "Tracks" list?

The tracks list is non-functioning on my iPod Touch. Possibly because if its length or possibly because of swedish characters in song names, but either way, the list bar on the side with the alphabet on does not work properly. It only reacts at about Q and above that I will only get thrown to A. Which is not nice when you have 2600 songs to go through... it takes a while.
Is this a known bug? Is there a fix? Don't tell me to do a search or something, that's beside the point, I want the alphabet-shortcut-bar to work!

  • Where are my sound module preset names in the track list?

    I've been using Logic since version 2.5 and, since I have several MIDI sound modules whose sounds I'm perfectly happy with, I am now using those sound modules with Logic 8.
    But having just upgraded to 8 from 7, I've discovered something I think is missing, which is a bit of an annoyance.
    In all previous versions of Logic, if you set up a instrument in the Environment for a MIDI sound module and then added all the preset names when you set up the bank/program change commands, when you select a preset from the track list in the Arrange window, the name in the track list changed from the name of the instrument to the name of the preset.
    For example, the name would change from 'Fantom XR' (the name I'd called the instrument in the Environment) to 'PNO SoTrue' (the name of the preset) in the track list when I selected that preset via Logic.
    However, in Logic 8, when I select a preset, the name on the track list now stays as 'Fantom XR' (or whatever the name of the instrument is) and doesn't change to that of the preset.
    Given that I use six MIDI modulss, keeping track of the sounds by having the trak list name change to that of the presets was really useful for keeping track of what was what.
    Have I just missed something with how to do it, or is a permanent change? I really hope not.

    No, it's still there, but the interface has changed.
    Right-click on a track and select "Configure Track Header"
    In the box that comes up, enable the checkbox under "Names" and next to it (the second flip menu), select "Software Instrument Setting Name".
    Now the program names in your multi-instruments are displayed in the manner you have been accustomed to.
    As ever, save this stuff in your autoload to always have you own configs available.
    You have some options there in that the two flip menus determine the first and second displayed track name, so you can set up how you like - it's more flexible than earlier versions of Logic.

  • I have had two instances of having a downloaded album "scrambled" while playing on appletv, I.e. the track listing remaining correct but having the wrong songs play.  Once this has occurred the album does not play correctly.  Any help with this issue?

    I am having problems with Apple TV scrambling albums while playing from iTunes.  The track listing remains correct but the songs play out of order and not all of the songs seem to in place, I.e. a song that played previously under one title will play as a different title.  Any thoughts or help?  Thanks.

    A corrupted iPod database, will report zero music used, and have your music size reported as others, so you wont see the music in the iPod screen. Sorry, I thought there was some hope for you with iPodAccess, in recovery of the corrupted iPod database with your ratings.
    You can try to borrow and  use the Mac Disk Utility ->First Aid ->Repair.
    Of course, if your iPod Hardisk is in a bad state, from the Disk Diagnostic report, then all my suggestion are futile.

  • Why are the 3 tracks I bought on iTunes a yr ago are missing from the track list just imported from a CD of the whole album ?

    1st time question on here...I bought 3 songs off iTunes from the album Feedback by Jurassic 5 last year and those songs are in my librabry. Sometime later I purchased the whole album but on CD. Tonight when I imported the CD and it asked to replace existing duplicates and I said yes. Now I have two identical albums of Feedback in my library. One album has the tracks I bought from ITunes the second has all the tracks but the ones I bought from itunes. When I select to play either albums only the tracks listed play not the whole orignal album. How do I correct this? I want one album listed with all the orignal tracks. Also i'd preffer to keep the apple lossless version i imported from the CD - not the ITunes version. Thanks folks

    I have a similar problem , where I had a cd I imported then bought a bonus track on iTunes not on the cd but belonging to the same album, but iTunes showing it to me as 2 separate albums.
    My iTunes on the computer now shows it as 1 album, but when I sync it to me device it is still 2 albums and the album with the 1 song asks me if I want to complete it.
    Sorry I have no solution yet, I just wanted to share that I too have a similar problem.

  • Is there a way in iTunes 11 to double click on an album and have the track list show up the way it used to in iTunes 10.7?

    I'm talking about Album view where album covers are shown where you used to be able to double click and have it show up in a list view, but now in iTunes 11 there's just a window that pops up with the track list in front of other albums. Any way to get it back to the way it was in iTunes 10.7 where you double clicked on an album and it went into a list view?

    Turning your Mac into a clock radio.
    1.  In iTunes create a playlist that contains just the radio station you want to wake up to.
    2.  Export the playlist (as .m3u works well).  Get Info on your playlist file and look at the Open With entry to make sure it points to iTunes, VLC or some other app that will stream your station.
    3.  In iCal create an event entry at the time you want to wake up.
    4.  Right (or Control) click on your wakeup event and select Get Info.
    5.  For "alarm" select Open File.
    6.  Now under Open File there will be a place to add the file to open.  It will probably be some default entry (like iCal).  Click on it will allow you to select "other."  Then use the file dialog to select your playlist file.
    Your Mac will wake you up at the appointed time.  You don't need to keep iCal running.  If you want to put you Mac to sleep for the night then there is one more thing you need to do.  Open System Preferences to Energy Saver and click on the Schedule button.  Check Start up or wake and set the wake up time to slightly before your iCal alarm time.

  • Can anyone tell me why the track lists overlap once you've printed on the new iTunes update?

    I've just updated to the new iTunes upddate, I found out how to print my album covers but why is the track list overlapping? This never happened in the old version, plus why have Apple taken the short cut away when you right click on your playlist. Very frustrating. Does anyone know if there is a fix to this?

    I have found a way to get around the print problem, but for anyone else's benefit here is a tip. In the top left hand corner of the screen is a dropdown menu icon, click onto this and go to 'show menu bar'. This brings up the options which appeared on the old version of iTunes. If you want to print your playlist click on 'File' and then 'Print' and this will pull up the print options in the same format as the old iTunes version. The text on the print out shouldn't overlap anymore.
    I hope this helps anyone else who has had this problem.

  • HT1849 Is there a bonus track on the 20/20 pre-order album? I hear a song but it's not listed on the track list.

    I was one of the lucky Tennessee Kids who got to listen to Part 2 of The 20/20 Experience on iTunes a week before the album was released. Of course, I listened to the album on repeat the ENTIRE week, but I noticed that there was a song at the end of the album that was not listed on the track list. Is this a bonus track that is only available when you pre-order? It's on the album as if the last song is over 11 minutes long, but it's a completely separate song, so I don't know if it's an addition to the song or if it's a hidden bonus track.
    I was going to purchase the album when it's released on Monday as a "complete my album" option since I've already purchased Part 1 of The 20/20 Experience and I want the COMPLETE Experience. But I may be rethinking my methods if that last song on Part 2 is not going to be available come Monday.....

    To be a good citizen, you may wish to contact Warner Brothers and alert them to the error.  That will allow them to verify it, and advise the iTunes Store (as well as other music download stores) of the corrections.
    You also have the option of advising the iTunes Store directly via their feedback page, but be aware that Apple is unlikely to take a fan's input to overrule info that they received from the label.  So contacting WB is probably more effective.

    There's no way to recover this list if you deleted the items, as it's not backed up.
    Why did you have the sites blocked in the first place? You can simply re-block the sites as you see the images in order to re-build your list.

    Yes, I know how to edit track information.  So far that only works to edit info, not to sort. 
    There are fields in File     >     Get Info     >     Sort     >     'Sort Name,' 'Sort Album,' 'Sort Artist,' et cetera, but who knows what data goes in those fields to manipulate what order tracks appear in this list?

    If you have music that was purchased on different iTunes accounts than the one you use, then you must provide the password, otherwise the tunes are not considered yours.  You can turn off iCloud and just use the usual USB sync method.  But I wonder whether you'll have the same problem?

    I bought a couple of songs off an album a few months ago. Last night, I decided to buy the rest of the album, but when I look at my library, the songs are out of order. I've attached a screenshot of the album below.
    The first four songs are out of order, I need to know how to put them in order.

    I've run into this in the past and the best method I've come across to fix this issue is to highlight all the songs in the album (in this case Disc 1) and press Command + I to edit the metadada. In the edit box, I make sure everything is Disc 1 of 1, and then add a space to the end of the Album title, click ok, then go back and remove the space. Doing this seems to force iTunes to refresh the info displayed, whereas not changing the album's title sometimes leaves things as is.

    Generally all you need to do is fill in an appropriate Album Artist. For a compilation use Various Artists and also set Part of a compilation to Yes on the Options tab of Get Info.

    Hello. I've never figured out why on iTunes I can manually set the track order of an album, but when I sync it to the iPod the track order never changes.
    Just wondering if there is a way to set the iPod track order manually to match the iTunes track order...

    I have manually set the track listing of each song to match the order of the ablums, and that solves the problem on iTunes, but on the iPod itself, they take on an order of their own.
    Even when I rip tracks directly from the CD, the problem (sometimes) occurs. For example, on disk 2 of 'Heaven & **** - Live', the first track, 'Computer God' is always last on the album (on iPod), but first on iTunes.
    I've already had to make several separate playlists for this problem, and it's become a little annoying... I don't know what else to do.
