Adjustment Brush Doesn't Show It's "Button" Anymore:
I installed the update for 3.4.1 and warm re-booted my computer.
The button that you saw after painting (releasing the mouse button), is no longer there.
There is nothing to hover over to see what area you painted and if you Close the brush, and reopen it, the button does not appear.
HALP!

I thought I had to hit "H" to see a link -on the email- to confirm my registration.
I didn't realize it was your answer.
Since I had just installed my 3.4.1 update and the default on my installed version of LR, and since my 'pins' have never been hidden, the 3.4.1 default of hiding the pins was a problem and is likely to fool a lot of users that hadn't read about hiding those pins yet. Shouldn't the installation of -any- new version, pick up the defaults currently in LR? That is an issue.

What operating system are you using?
Which version of camera raw do you have in photoshop cs6?
After you select the Adjustment Brush, the New button should already be enabled.
Then after you draw on an area of the image, the Add button should be enabled, with the option to choose either of the other two buttons; New or Erase
Could you post a screenshot?
Maybe all the adjustment values are set to zero?
(at least one needs to have a value other than zero)

LR5 's Adjustment Brush doesn't seem to work-does the New Radial Filter have priority?

So why in the world would I update Lightroom in the middle of a job.?
Before I was able to do in and touch up shadowy areas using (K) adjustment brush, but now it doesn;t seem to work. The radial brush does a good job for a defined area but for SPOT touching I have always used the the adjustment brush?
Is there a setting or am I missing something or is this a bug?

The presence of the Radial Filter in the tool set should have no effect on the Brush. It continues to work just as it always has. In fact, even if the RF is open (I sometimes hit it by mistake when I really want the Brush) and you click on the Brush icon, the RF closes and the Brush opens. If your Brush is not functioning properly, it is very unlikely that the RF is the reason. The usual first aid for any LR misbehavior is to close LR, remove the Preferences file from its folder and relaunch LR, allowing it to make a new preferences file. Not guaranteed to solve the problem, but worth trying.

HELP! Lightroom Crashes Only with Adjustment Brush and only when using HDMI output!

This is very frustrating. I use my Acer N56V laptop to teach Lightroom workshops. I use a 32 inch television as a display. When I have my laptop attached with an HDMI cable and try to use Lightroom's adjustment brush, it crashes. Either the screen and computer just shuts down or I get the Blue Screen of Death. I can do anything else! I can edit in Photoshop, do anything else in Lightroom or even Silver EFX Pro. I can even click on the adjustment brush. But the minute the brush hits the photo (and not before), the computer crashes. If I don't have it attached to the HDMI or if I use a Serial cable, no issues. It's only the adjustment brush and only the HDMI output.
I called Adobe and they said it was because my onboard video card was primary and not the Nvidia. I called Acer and they said it's auto detect. I also tried making the Nvidia card primary and it still happened. Any ideas???

You have switched the overlay mask to always show. Fortunately, it's easy fixed i.e. tap the O key. Shift+O will cycle the overlay through various colours

Brush doesn't show right when resized

why is my brush only half visible when i enlarge it, it's like 40 pxls = O
80~100 pxls = i only get 1/4 of the circle like this (
100~and more = i don't see the brush anymore
this also happened when i use vector brush

It is likely an issue with the GPU driver software. The recommendation is to install the latest GPU driver.
I also experience the partial brush in CS5 but I am reluctant to change the driver since all is good in CS4. At the moment I am trialing CS5 and do not want to break CS4 by monkeying with the driver. (Installing the latest driver on my GPU breaks Bridge CS4.)

That would be because the PXI 5124 is a digitizer not a analog input device. You need to use the NI SCOPE driver not NI DAQmx

How do i get the songs i bought from iTunes back on my iPod? When i go into downloads it doesn't show what i bought anymore.

iTunes said i needed to update my iPod then when it was done it deleted all of my content. All of my pictures, music, apps, and downloads are completely gone. I tried to go back to where i bought the songs but they have a price next to them, like i never bought them. But my balence obviously shows i bought them. What do i do? I bought an ablum and two songs, and don't want to have to pay for them again.

How can I remove a malicious browser extention that doesn't show a "remove" button?

I'm using Firefox 31.0 on Mac OSX and recently noticed a "JolleyWallet" popup and some suspect "Photo-Zoom V10 0.95.14" browser extension that I did not install myself.
I would very much like to permanently be rid of the extension however there is no option to "Remove" it as there usually is for other extensions. Is there a way to manually delete a malicious extension like this?

Hi,
I first downloaded Illustrator cc on my laptop, and i went to the manager to change the language for the app from Chinese to English.
It didn't work, so I deleted my illustrator and intall it again.
It didn't work either, this time I tried unstalled it.
Now I want to install it again, but the manager keeps showing that I have the latest version of it even though I DO NOT have it on my computer.
What can I do now?

The iPhone Search feature doesn't show Contacts/Top hits anymore?

All of a sudden... when I use the general Search Feature on the iPhone4, the Top Hits do not show up anymore. This was the main way I found the contacts that I wanted to call. Any ideas on how to turn that back on?

You could try going to Settings > General > Spotlight Search and make sure all options there are checked.

My iphoto doesn't show on my screen anymore

i don't know what happened but my iphoto doesnt show on my scrren anymore even though it's open, except i put it to 'fullscreen'....I can see the iphoto icon open up and can see it on the exposé but it doesnt stay on the screen,it barely pops on the screen, i can only recognise it's presence in the exposé and the iphoto name and quick options on top of the screen.

Try trash the com.apple.iPhoto.plist file from the HD/Users/ Your Name / library / preferences folder.
(On 10.7: Hold the option (or alt) key while clicking on the Go menu in Finder to access the User Library)
(Remember you'll need to reset your User options afterwards. These include minor settings like the window colour and so on. Note: If you've moved your library you'll need to point iPhoto at it again.)
What's the plist file?
For new users: Every application on your Mac has an accompanying plist file. It records certain User choices. For instance, in your favourite Word Processor it remembers your choice of Default Font, on your Web Browser is remembers things like your choice of Home Page. It even recalls what windows you had open last if your app allows you to pick up from where you left off last. The iPhoto plist file remembers things like the location of the Library, your choice of background colour, whether you are running a Referenced or Managed Library, what preferences you have for autosplitting events and so on. Trashing the plist file forces the app to generate a new one on the next launch, and this restores things to the Factory Defaults. Hence, if you've changed any of these things you'll need to reset them. If you haven't, then no bother. Trashing the plist file is Mac troubleshooting 101.

Lightroom 4 Adjustment Brush Presets

In Jeff Schewe's book "The Digital Negative," I read that Lightroom 4 comes with Adjustment Brush and Graduated Filter presets. I use Camera Raw (CS6), which doesn't come with presets. Would someone be willing to list the settings for each Lightroom 4 preset so I can create the same presets in Camera Raw? Thanks.
