Bug? MS/UB 12.0.1: Highlight Selection in Multisim doesn't seem to work

Transfered from MS to UB. The Highlight seection in Multisim button in UB remains stippled out for some reason. Would be a nice feature if I could get it to work. Any suggestions? Thanks!

This should work just fine, as long as the design still matches that of Multisim (and the Multisim design is open). Maybe you are working with different designs. What i mean is, this might be due to a synchronization error, where if you made changes in either or and the changes weren't reflected back to the file (through forward/backward annotation). I'm trying very hard right now to reproduce this, I find it really difficult, even on complex designs with HBs and SCs completely changed in Ultiboard.
I should mention just as a sanity check that the component should be selected Component Selector active. The only time that the option is greyed out is when Ultiboard is open and no file loaded. Maybe provide us with your files again (by email if you prefer)?

You may have something disturbing Illy so she gets confused, see Item 7 in 5) below for usual suspects, or you may have what appears to be a preference corruption, see 1) - 4) and 6) below.
The following is a general list of things you may try when the issue is not in a specific file (you may have tried/done some of them already); 1) and 2) are the easy ones for temporary strangenesses, and 3) and 4) are specifically aimed at possibly corrupt preferences); 5) is a list in itself, and 6) is the last resort.
1) Close down Illy and open again;
2) Restart the computer (you may do that up to 3 times);
3) Close down Illy and press Ctrl+Alt+Shift/Cmd+Option+Shift during startup (easy but irreversible);
4) Move the folder (follow the link with that name) with Illy closed (more tedious but also more thorough and reversible);
5) Look through and try out the relevant among the Other options (follow the link with that name, Item 7) is a list of usual suspects among other applications that may disturb and confuse Illy, Item 15) applies to CC, CS6, and maybe CS5);
Even more seriously, you may:
6) Uninstall, run the Cleaner Tool (if you have CS3/CS4/CS5/CS6/CC), and reinstall.

Select which users doesn't logged their work yesterday on MS Project 2013

We use MS Project 2013 to control people work report.
I wanna make a SQL query that will catch all users that doesn't set their work yesterday on WebProject App.
My intention on that is to alert them by e-mail about this.
If the user doesn't logged his work for three or more days consecutive, his coordinator must be alerted too.
Is there any configuration property on MS Project to do this ?

Changing the material options for multiple selections doesn't seem to work

Hi!
Is it just me or is it not possible to select multiple layers and change their material options like specularity and shininess all at once? Selecting the layers and clicking on cast shadows certainly does work like this, but for some reason when I do the same and change the specularity, it changes only for that layer, regardless of the selection for the other layers.
Are you able to change material options for multiple layers in one click?

Works for me... Not sure what else to say. The only thing to consider would be that you need to expose the same properties on all layers or else AE can't match the property streams, so it may be advisable to hit AA to expose all material options instead of just U or UU to reveal changed/ animated properties.

Select All doesn't seem to work?

I'm trying to select all photo's from last download to move to a new folder, but it doesn't work. It used too!
Also when sharing for email I can't select all as a usual click on one and drag to others i wish to select. Always used to be able to do this.
Any thoughts?

There are many, many ways to access your files in iPhoto:
*For Users of 10.5 and later*
You can use any Open / Attach / Browse dialogue. On the left there's a Media heading, your pics can be accessed there. Command-Click for selecting multiple pics.

Many internet sites such as Flickr and SmugMug have plug-ins for accessing the iPhoto Library. If the site you want to use doesn’t then some, one or any of these will also work:
To upload to a site that does not have an iPhoto Export Plug-in the recommended way is to Select the Pic in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export and export the pic to the desktop, then upload from there. After the upload you can trash the pic on the desktop. It's only a copy and your original is safe in iPhoto.
This is also true for emailing with Web-based services. However, if you're using Gmail you can use iPhoto2GMail
If you use Apple's Mail, Entourage, AOL or Eudora you can email from within iPhoto.
If you use a Cocoa-based Browser such as Safari, you can drag the pics from the iPhoto Window to the Attach window in the browser.

Other options include:
1. *Drag and Drop*: Drag a photo from the iPhoto Window to the desktop, there iPhoto will make a full-sized copy of the pic.
2. *File -> Export*: Select the files in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export. The dialogue will give you various options, including altering the format, naming the files and changing the size. Again, producing a copy.
3. *Show File*: Right- (or Control-) Click on a pic and in the resulting dialogue choose 'Show File'. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.

When run, the example below shows a Select Many Shuttle with four choices in the leading list. When items are shuttled to the training list and the page is submitted the trailing list is rendered with no items selected. Is this a bug?
Configuration
This example was constructed using jDeveloper 10.1.3.5.0.
A new application was created using the Web Application [JSF, ADF BC] template although no business components are used.
Steps to Reproduce

I'm holding my Nano in my hot little hands with ALL of the things you listed, but here's the sad, simple truth: you CAN'T use iTunes to sync everything. It works well for:
1) Music
2) Videos (except sometimes in Vista)
3) Photos (as long as they're not too large)
but is terrible for:
1) calendar
2) contacts
3) To-Do lists
For the latter use something like "iGadget" (www.ipodsoft.com). I also edit/store notes w/iGadget plus it allows you to export files, etc.
I gave up on syncing iTunes w/Outlook long ago. Good luck.

A problem highlighting/selecting text in Illustrator CS3

In several instances I can't highlight text to copy or to edit, other times it works fine. If I click the radio button for the text in layers (other layers may be locked to prevent accidental selection), the baselines appears and I should be able to highlight the text, but I can't. If I highlight some other unaffected area of text successfully (unlocked layers), sometimes it will allow me to select the problem text directly after. Then it will go back to being a problem, why?

I'm using the general text tool, I've locked the other sublayers to avoid accidentally selecting those items. Then I click the radio button on the sublayer I wish to edit or copy, which reveals the baselines. Then if I click within that object to highlight text with the cursor, the text tool creates a new textbox/sublayer and does not highlight the text I intended.

Highlighting Selected Segments of Video

How can I mark a segment of video in the timeline that I want to go back to later
to show someone or to determine if I want to delete it? Is there some way to highlight selected portions of the timeline?

you can use markers. if you select a clip just hit M to make a marker, hit M on the frame again then you'll have a prompt where yyou can change the duration of your marker and add notes and stuff. if you hit M without a clip selected in the time line and your timeline is active then you'll create a marker on the timline itself.

The new iTunes has a somewhat different look from the previous version. You can get the old look back if you prefer it by doing View > Show Sidebar in iTunes. Or you can adapt to the new look.

hello, i use illustrator cs2, and since a few days - without having changed any options - the program doesn't highlight selected items any more. neither does it highlight selected text... so editing items becomes a guessing game which is extremeley annoying... i can't find anything on this in the help file... i hope anybody here can help me!

Change Highlight Selection Color

The default color when a cell or item is selected is a light cyan. On my computer it is very hard to discern text because the light cyan highlight color and the white text run together. How can I adjust the highlight/selection color so that text is legible?

The selected item color is actually determined by your OS. To change it in Windows XP:
Right click on your desktop
Properties
Appearance Tab
Advanced
Item Drop down: Chose "Selected Items"
Change the color to whatever you like

Printing a Highlighted/Selected part of an internet page

New to the Mac world.
I am use to Click and highlighting/Selecting part of a web page, then when printing just pick selected from the print menu.
I do not see this on the iMac, is there a way for it to be done??

To answer your question foor your iOS Device using Pages or Keynote for iOS: You can't highlight as you might in many note taking apps for iPad, etc.
The best you can do at this point is to change the selected text's color by selecting the text > Style Menu (wrench) > Tap on the Font > Tap on the Color Box to reveal choices.
