Bug on Calendar when going to march 2013

When going to March 2013 on the Calendar app (view by month), it crashes...

hello there
that sounds like a software bug so what you can do is theese 2 things
the first thing u can do is:
go  to the spring board (were your apps are) and double press your home button and hold down on the calander.app and tap on the close button that appears on it. then press the hhome button again to get back to your icons and see if that works... but t=if that dident try the option below.
go to settings.app General > reset > erase all content and settings
and set your ipad back up and that will fix it
if you have any othwe questions please go ahead and ask

  • TS1702 Calendar crashes when going to March 2013! ??

Whenever I try to go to March 2013 my iCal crashes and returns to the app screen. What's up?!

Try removing any all-day events from the calendar for the 1st April 2013 e.g. if you are syncing the calendar from somewhere else (e.g. Outlook on a PC or iCal/Calendar on a Mac) then change it to a timed event instead of all-day (if you don't sync your calendar from anywhere then try going into list view, go to 1st April and change any 'all day' events to times e.g. change Easter Monday to start at something like 4am) - it seems that there is a problem with all day events on that date which is when the clocks change due to daylight saving on the day before.

  • Calendar app crashes when going to march 2013

Does anyone else experience the same problem? I can recreate it on at least two iPads (the original iPad1 [iOS 5.1.1] and the latest Retina iPad [iOS 6.0.1])
While browsing the calendar in month view and going from febraury 2013 or april 2013 to march 2013, crashes the calendar app.
I can browse march 2013 fine while in day view, week view or list view, but not in month view.
No problems on the iPhone, just on the iPad.

An obsertation:  I have what appears to be an all-day event on April 1, that is a note that it is April Fools Day.  However, this note is part of a holidays calendar that I subscribe to on my iPad.  The holiday entries are an actual subscription, not individual entries on the calendar.
I have not had any Calendar crashes with this April 1 entry at all.  As Skydiver said, it might be a DST problem, but it seemed strange that some folks are having crash problems with all day entries on 4/1 and some are not.  Maybe this subscription entry doesn't count as an all day entry??  Dunno.

  • Since 6 download on my iPad, in Calendar the month of March 2013 missing

Since the 6 download on my iPad, in Calendar the month of March 2013 will not come up.  Preceding months and following months are OK.  Can anyone throw any light upon this?

This bug seems to be fixed in iOS 6.1.

  • IPad calendar won't open march 2013 in month view; just this one specific issue, everything else works fine. I've reset to factory but it still happens.

    Hmm.....
New iPad, not been fiddled with in any way. When I use calendar, everything is fine except when I try to view march 2013 in month view, whether by switching to "month" from a march day view, or by moving from another month already in month view.
The application just closes down. No issues with data loss. No issues with same calendar data on my mac or iPhone.
I've reset to factory setting and restored but it persists.
    Any thoughts?  Thanks, Andrew.

The workaround for this is to remove any all day events from April 1 or change from all day to something other than all day event.
The update to iOS 6.1 is supposed to have fixed the bug according to some of those that have posted today.

  • ICal stops when clicking on March 2013.

When working in iCal it suddenly stops when I open the month of March 2013. All the other months are not a problem. It only happens with March 2013. Does anyone know why this is happening and what I can do about it?

  • TS1702 My iPad2 calendar app closes every time I turn the page to or select March 2013. I have followed shutdown procedures but still a problem. Can anyone help please?

The Calendar app crashes when I select March 2013. I tried hard restart but app still crashes when March is selected.

Look on april 1st. If you have any all day events, remove them. It's a glitch where all day events on APril 1 mess up March.
Remove the event or edit it to span a few hours and March will reappear

  • Calendar crashes when trying to opening in March 2013 monthly view

This only happens in monthly view as we are now into March it is stuck on monthly view so it will not open.

The problem is fixed on the latest version of iOS, so if it's not a first gen iPad updating it should fix it.

  • What does Calendar crash when I try to select March 2013 in 'month' view?

When I tried to select March 2013 in month view of Calendar, it crashes. If I select a date in March 2013 by some other means, I can add an appointment during that month, but every time I return to the Month view, the application crashes (closes).

  • The calendar app locked itself out when I tried to view March 2013 on iPad

The calendar app on my iPad 2 will not let me view march 2013 in the month view. It switches itself off whenever I attempt it.  Any idea how I can resolve this problem, please?  It is quite ok if I go for the day, list or even year viewing option.
