Bug on iphone contact
When I am saving a new contact and I try put the name or other item it goes to next item without I tap it or tap enter, sometimes I tap name and goes to last name at same time, some times I press space and goes to next item (last name if I am in name), sometimes that happens in the middle of a word!!!
It hapens in every local, even in the address or something else....
It is VERY annoying if you have to ad contacts constantly!!!
quit the Contacts app like I describe. Then Reset your iPhone. Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. To reset the iPhone press and hold both the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button continuously until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the device restart. You will not lose data doing this. It's like a computer reboot.

How to Fix
1- Dail *228 on your iPhone 4S which is basically recognized as Verizon programmingnumber.
2- Press “1” to “Program or Activate” your iPhone 4S.
3- After some time your call will be disconnected and a message will appear saying “Settings updated”.
4- Open task manager by double clicking on your iPhone 4S Home Button.
5- Close your Phone, Message and Contacts Apps.
6- Wait 4-5 minutes and then open your iPhone 4S Message App to verify fix -
iPhone contacts, Country field, keeps Syncmyride Navigation from giving directions. Is there a way to leave Country field blank? Thanks for any help. Jww
Syncmyride. That's what's having the problem. If it were handing the data properly, it wouldn't be a problem. You should not have to remove data from your contacts in order for an app that is accessing the contact data to work correctly. This is a bug in syncmyride. It has nothing to do with iCloud or anything else that Apple controls.

Of course if you are both connected to the same iCloud account you have the same contacts - what did you expect?. The contacts live on the server and are read from there by the devices; so as you've both managed to sync your contacts up to iCloud they are now inextricably mixed. You can only delete your contacts by deleting individual ones, and doing that will delete them from your phone as well.
You can only unravel this by
1. In the iCloud contacts page at http://icloud.com, select all the contacts, click on the cogwheel icon at bottom left and choose 'Export vCard'.
2. Sign out of System Preferences>iCloud
3. Create a new Apple ID and open a new iCloud account with it for your own use.
4. Import the vCard back into the iCloud contacts page.
5. Go to http://icloud.com and sign in with the original ID. This is now his ID. Work through the contacts individually deleting the ones you don't want him to have. When done sign out and advise him to change his password.
6. Go to the new iCloud account and delete his contacts individually.
Of course if you have also been syncing calendars and using the same email address there are problems with doing this. -
I can send and receive to any non iPhone user. I can send a message as a text to an iPhone user but if I'm not connected to cellular data or wifi I do not receive messages from iPhone contacts. From what I understand these message should automatically send to me as texts instead of iMessages but since the update it's not functioning properly. Please help. I've tried turning iMessage off and I still don't receive the messages until after I reconnect to wifi.
I have the same problem! Before the upgrade, if I wasn't connected to the internet, any messages sent to me from an iphone would convert automatically to a text message. I have payg tarriff, so I turn cell data off, as it costs too much to use it. I have wifi at home and work, but if I'm out and about, I don't receive texts from iphone users until I'm on wifi. I get them ok from non iphone users. There was never any problem until ios7

I just traded in my iPhone 4S for Samsung Galaxy 4S, still have iPad. Some of my iPhone contacts are unable to send me a txt that I can receive. But NOT all of my iPhone contacts. I have had them change their settings for my ph number to NOT say iPhone. Txt msg is disabled on iPad. I have no idea what to do. I called the support line that I Pay $9.99 a month for. They told me to delete my iTunes account. Will I lose all my pics on my ipad? I have no music download. I'm getting ****** at this whole thing. And it allllllll started with apples update to the ios7.... I HATED IT. Help.
What your iPhone using friends label your phone number in their contacts is irrelevant. I don't know who you pay $9.99 a month to but it's not Apple. You can't disable text messaging on your iPad as it is not capable of SMS.
Do you still have the iPhone? If so, log out of iMessage on the iPhone.
Try this:
Go to: https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do
Log in if not already logged in.
Click on "Edit Products"
Click on the "X" to the right of the product.
Click "Unregister"
Also, try changing the password on your iTunes account. -

Make groups of contacts in your Address Book and select the option to sync only selected groups to each phone.

I've been using my iPad and iPhone to record contact information, and they sync with each other via iCloud. I realize now I should have recording this on the iMac and then syncing with the other devices.
But at this point, I'd like to replace all address book information on my iMac with the iPad/iPhone contact information. What's the best way to do this? I'm assuming at this point that you are NOT syncing contacts on your Mac with iCloud. If you are, do not perform the steps in this paragraph. Assuming you are not syncing your Mac contacts with iCloud, open Address Book (Contacts), go to View>Groups, then click on All Contacts. Click on a single contact, then go to Edit>Select All (Command-A) to select all contacts. Now press your delete key to delete them. Your Mac Address Book (Contacts) should now be empty. Now open the My Contacts Backup email on your Mac and double-click the attachment to import the contacts from your iPhone to your Mac Address Book (Contacts). -

When you say a new user ID, are you referring to your Apple ID that you use to make purchases in the iTunes Store, etc? Or are you talking about a new user account on the same Mac?

Your contacts are helpd on the server, so if you sign out from your iCloud account and sign into another one they will disappear. If you sign back into the original account they will reappear.

Other than there are also a tool called Contacts Tool search iphone applications,and it will help u a lot if u want to transfer the contacts to computer.Like Out2003 or Outlook2007...
