[BUG] Pixel Bender(CPU mode) don't working without desktop composition(W7 x64)

I am using CPU rendering mode.
Everything is working, except "result" window, which is just copy of background(without Desktop composition).
Everyone can reproduce the error with turn on / turn off desktop composition:
Control Panel > System and Security > System > Advanced system settings > Perfomance > Settings...
"Adjust for best performance" - rendering don't working
"Adjust for best appearance" - everything just fine.

You can double click on the selected object to get into the multilevel isolation mode.

Why this program don't work without the "stop"?

can you tell me why this program don't work without "stop"?and why the "stop" of my program can not work？

The stop button is checked once in every iteration of the while loop, which includes waiting for the for loop to complete its 9 iteration.
The for loop takes 9 seconds to complete because of the time delay, therefore clicking the stop button can take upto 18 seconds, depending on whether the button has been read yet.

E51 Bug [low] - *#0000# and *#06# don't work

Severity: low
Software: 200.34.36 / 24-04-2008 / RM-244
After I noticed that the vibra didn't go on incoming SMS and emails, I power cycled my E51. After that I wanted to write a bug report and noticed that neither *#0000# nor *#06# worked. Both just created a beep but nothing was displayed.
Switching the phone off, taking the battery out for 30secs. and switching it on again, solved the problem.

Migrated from Lightroom to Aperture: TIFF's in LAB mode don't work

I migrated from Lightroom to Aperture and I noticed many TIFF's were black, or strangely colored (reddish, greenish). I couldn't figure it out, but I think I know what is the problem. I used to work in LAB-mode in Photoshop for quite some time, and I see that those files cause the problems.
Not only can't I see the previews correctly, Ican't do anything with these files (not even open them in Photoshop). What can I do? Because these files are my portfolio (the material I sell, exhibit, etc.). They're extremely important for me. What can I do? I'm willing to convert them to RGB if necessary.

There have been some issues with greenish previews lately. Browse this forum for threads with the tags "green" and "Previews". If that is the problem, then only your previews look strange and your original images might still be o.k.
So I recommend to check if the images or only the previews are faulty.
If you have a referenced Library reveal the masters in the Finder and look at the master with Preview or another Photo Browser.
If your library is managed, you can reveal the masters inside your Aperture Library by opening the package (in Aperture 3.2.1), select the Library in the Finder and click "Show package contents". You will see folders "Masters" and "Previews". Compare the Masters and the Previews.
If only the Previews are faulty, then select the the images in question in the Aperture Browser, ctrl-click them and select "Update Preview". If that does not help ...

I assume you have a backup or can access the originals you imported into Aperture.
Convert a copy of one of pictures to TIFF in RGB mode and see if Aperture can handle that properly.
If you are satisfied with the quality do that with all your important pictures.

Sleeping and hibernating mod don't work (Windows 8.1)

I just bought a Thinkpad S440 and upgraded to Windows 8.1.
My problem is that when I select sleep or hibernating mod the screen turns off but everything else like the hard drive and the fan is still running.
I have no idea how to solve this issue.

My system at the moment seems stable with sleep, catalyst, and switchable graphics - although I'm not really sure why.
The sequence of events was as follows:
-upgraded to 8.1, installed all drivers in lenovo System Update and Windows Update
-Sleep didn't work, tried installing the Intel HD 10.18.10.3345 drivers from http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/detect , plus whatever the site said I should update and was able to
-Didn't solve it, tried latest AMD drivers from AMD site
-Didn't solve it, tried beta AMD drivers from AMD site
-Didn't solve it, re-ran lenovo System Update and Windows Update
-Sleep worked
I'm not sure why it worked, but it seemed to work for me. I'm not even sure this can be replicated.

Website buttons don't work (Firefox Desktop)

Buttons work in Chrome but not in Firefox. I'm hoping its a simple problem to fix but I'm no expert. Could you guys please help me?

Is it only one site that is affected? I'd try starting Firefox in [[Safe Mode]]. If you don't have the issue while all of your add-ons, extensions, and themes are disabled, you can try adding them back in one by one until you find the culprit. I know that certain toolbars have been known to cause similar issues. You should look at the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting-extensions-themes Extensions and Themes troubleshooting guide ] and the [[Troubleshooting plugins]] article as well.

Authorization schemes don't work without logging into workspace first

Hi,
I've got an application which uses APEX Authentication, but my Authorization Schemes only work if a user logs into the APEX workspace before logging into the application. For example if I've got a tab with its authorization scheme set to Must be Admin user, the tab won't appear unless you log into the workspace first (which end users aren't going to do) and then log into the application. I've pasted an example of one of my authorization schemes below, is it using the wrong function to check the group or something?

The results of the PL/SQL region, which uses the same code to detect group membership as the authorization scheme. As you can see this correctly identifies that the current user is a member of the "SAV - Super Admins" group, but the Super Admin tab isn't visible at the top of the page.

Obviously the group detection is working fine, but the tab still isn't visible :/ I've got a feeling that I'm being a complete idiot and missing something obvious..

Direct Selection Tool don't works cause points dissapear in shapes

Good evening,
I'm using Photoshop CC under a Macbook Pro Retina Display (15 inches), I've noticed that since lasts updates, when I use the direct selection tool for chaning a shape trace the points that should appear for selecting each anchor dissapears, and there's no way to get them back (sometimes by closing the program and restarting fixes this issue).
The tool is working because when I clic somewhere over a shape it gets highlighted on layers panel, but I can't see the points and so, can't modify the shape.
Does this belongs to any option? (I know in Illustrator there's an option to see or hide the points, but don't know if in Photoshop goes the same way or not) or it's a bug from the last updates? (I would say that it didn't happen at the beggining). But as I use a lot shorcuts, sometimes I can make a misstake and press cmd + wrong key, so I think it could be the reason for this... but I'm not quite sure.

I've seen that if I hide the "extras" (cmd + H) it hides the guides but also the points from shapes (that shouldn't be this way, right?) and even I can see them when I turn them on, I can't pick just one as I did in CS6 by using direct selection tool and pressing on just one point (at the beggining all of them are highlighted cause you've got selected the whole shape layer, but when you press one, it should get this highlighted and turn off the rest of them), and the only way to get just one point is to pan with the cursor and make a selection, passing over the points you want to highlight, but this is annoying cause if you've got any other shape below, it will select it as well.

1000x this. My designs are 100% vector shapes, so if Adobe have changed this core behavior intentionally, they’ve just made my life a lot more difficult.
We should be able to use the Direct Selection Tool to select a shape layer (similar to how the Move Tool has done) by clicking on any visible pixel. But then we should be able to freely drag-select points on that shape (starting from any neutral area) without selecting other shape layers. This is how it’s worked since before I can remember.
Here’s why the two new selection modes don’t work:
Active Layers - I can no longer freely select any visible shape. Instead I’m forced to make a time-consuming roundabout to the layer palette, where I have to squint to find my shape layer, and activate it manually before continuing. (Hitting “V” to select a layer, then “A” to get back to the D.S. Tool is nearly as cumbersome. Plus, I leave off the Move Tool's auto-select mode.)
All Layers - Treats all my shapes as if they’re on one layer. Overlapping shapes are therefore impossible to work with -- mainly drag-selecting and deselecting points -- in situ.
We either need a “legacy” setting, or some way to constrain selection on drag, via a key modifier or something. This “all or nothing" thing doesn’t work for me... and apparently for others. Why would they change such a thing?
Or maybe there’s something I’m missing. Please let that be the case!

After Effects CS5 Checkerboard Error (pixel bender)

I was just playing around with the pixel bender plugins inside CS5 and the pixel bender plugin checkerboard does not work. I receive an error message. Has anyone else been able to get it to work in AE? Just wondering if there is something wrong with my machine. Thanks.

Pixel Bender is NOT installing Please help!

I have The Creative Suite Version 5.5, which includes Photoshop CS 5.1. I'm trying to install the Pixel Bender Plugin for Photoshop CS5.1. I run at x64 bit and I'm attempting to install the correct plugin version. However, when I double click on the MXP file it opens up Adobe Extensions Manager 5.5 and goes through the process to install the plugin, when finished, the plugin isn't listed on the Extensions Manager. I don't get a error or any kind. The plugin simply doesn't show up. I have restarted my computer, downloaded the latest version of Adobe Air and Flash Player. I have repaired permissions on my computer. I'm really at a loss here. Can anyone help? Oh and I'm Running a Mac with Lion. Thank you in advance.

I spent all day yesterday trying to install PB into my PS5, and it will not work. Then I got smart and started to search the forums, and it has been DISCONTINUED! This means that you cannot get it to work.
Though I did see someone say that you can get PB into PS3. Which I still have, so we are awaiting to see if anyone on those forums has any info on that.
Oil Paint, which is the one filter in PB that we all want, has been put into PS6 as an included filter. But we are awaiting some of our classmates who have already updated to PS6, to tell us if they like it. I wont upgrade to the new version yet.
I realize that this forum has not been added to for a year, but hope my answer helps those of us who are really interested in Oil Paint.

Pixel Bender - Oil Paint Module Crashes Photoshop?? Any ideas?

I have downloaded and intstalled pixel bender for PSCS5. It works well except for the oil paint module.
Can't move sliders. Every time I use it, Photoshop crashes!!! Any ideas???

The problem occurred several times, but recently I have not been able to
recreate it - in other words,
it now seems to be working. I'll let you know if anything changes.
For your information I am using 32 bit Photoshop CS5 on a Windows XP

CS5.5 Blending Modes Won't Work?

Being an avid user of AfterEffects CS4, the transition to CS5.5 was painless.. Except for the fact that the blending modes don't work. This has halted all my projects.
What happens is that when I select a blending mode, nothing happens. It shows that I set the layer to 'add', but absolutely nothing happens. I just got CS5.5 yesterday, so I haven't changed any settings that could mess it up (That I know of).
Any help would be appreciated!!!

I'm confused. Blending modes require two or more layers. They work to blend one layer with the layer beneath it. But you only have one layer. How are you determining that blending modes aren't working?
