BUG?: Poster images don't have folder permission by default?

I love what you guys are doing with this, and obviously, the bugginess of the program is because it's an early, rapidly-developed product. Keep up the good work, and I'm sure future releases will be more improved. - Ian
BUG:
Out of the box, when publishing using Adobe Deployment Package and using Poster.png for the poster image with these settings:
I get the this error:
I tried creating the required Temp folders and setting permissions (which I shouldn't have to, of course ) but continued to get errors for the generated files, to wit:
And of course, the Adobe Deployment package was not created, just the empty containing folder in the publish folder.

Okay, I was able to reproduce the issue and will file the bug.  The way I was able to get it was I made an initial poster image, deleted it by hand, and then tried to republish.  Workaround: refresh your poster image and then publish.

  • Cannot move the items. You don't have appropriate permission to perform this operation.

Recently, I upgraded outlook from 2007 to 2010, but I got a problem that I cannot move any mails to personal folder and the error msg is "Cannot move the items. You don't have appropriate permission to perform this operation.".Even I create a new personal
folder in 2010 and try to move mails to it, I still get that error message.
Can anyone help me out please?
    Thanks so much in advance.

I've experienced the same thing and was unable to find this key that Tony mentioned.  After searching numerous sites, i found this instruction set below and tried it and it worked.  Per my case, the key PstDisableGrow was set to 1 under ...\Software\Polices\...
instead.  I disabled it and bam, it worked.  Give this a try...
Your System Administrator has either enforced a group policy to prevent pst files growing in size or a registry key is present preventing the growth of pst files. One of the following
registry keys will be present based on your version of office (11.0 for Office 2003, 12.0 for Office 2007 and 14.0 for Office 2010). The example below is for Office 2010 (14.0):
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\PST  - DWord Value: 'PstDisableGrow', Value: 1
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\PST  - DWord Value: 'PstDisableGrow', Value: 1
    Best of luck!

  • Don't have the permission to delete ringtones

    Hi all,
I discovered yesterday that I couldn't delete the ringtones on my iphone. As you see in the screencaption of my itunes (Dutch version), I don't have the permission to delete my synced ringtones on my iphone. a while ago I could manually add ringtones to my iphone without the ringtone sync function on the itunes, but right now I can only add a ringtone and not delete it. i already tried a clean restored iphone, it's not a problem everything works fine, I mean the manually add and remove ringtones.
    can someone help please?

    Hi Linc,
    Thanks for replying so quickly.
I actually figured out what was wrong and I feel so foolish not for looking here first. But the folders themselves were not locked, it was each individual song that was. So all I did was open up the folder and the following sub-folders to reveal the songs. I then would right click on each song > get info > and then the locked button at the top would be highlighted in blue. All I had to do was click the button, and poof the song was unlocked and subsequently the entire folder was unlocked, then I could delete the whole thing. I had to do this about 150 times for each song hahaha but it all worked out.
    Thanks again for your time

  • Can not save the attachment you don't have appropriate permission to perform this operation

i opened outlook.exe file then i have an error like cannot save the attachments you don't have appropriate permission to perform this operation so please solve my error

    Hi,
Before this issue occurred, what did you perform in Outlook?
Based on the error message, it seems like a permission issue. Try to run Outlook as administrator, check if the issue persists.
Please also try to start Outlook in Safe Mode. Sometimes the 3rd-party add-ins will cause the Outlook startup issue, run Outlook in Safe Mode will disable these add-ins:
Press Win + R, type "outlook.exe /safe" in the blank box, press Enter.
If there is no issue starting Outlook in Safe Mode, consider to disable the suspicious add-ins from FILE -> Options -> Add-Ins.
If the issue still exists, please send me the image of the error message and let me know in detail the steps you performed before this issue occurred. To protect your private information, please send the image to our email address:

  • Outlook 2010 you don't have appropriate permission to perform this operation.

I have a user who when they go to File > Open > Open Outlook data file they get an error "you don’t have appropriate permission to perform this operation. " I've completed the following troubleshooting steps: 1) Repaired Office, 2) Created
a new Windows Profile, 3) Created a new Outlook Profile, 4) Elevated user rights to an admin, 4) Re-installed Office 2010 5) Confirmed there is no GPO or registry setting preventing me from selecting this option. This is on a Windows XP SP3
    machine with Office 2010.

I have the same problem as CTDHelpdesk and have been unable to find an answer anywhere.  Immediately after choosing "Open Outlook Data File" Outlook 2013 (Win7) moves to the Outlook Today view and issues the popup "You don't have appropriate permission
to perform this operation".  NB this is before any file selection dialog appears, so it could not relate to any particular data file or location, as none has been selected.
I have previously opened these data files in this version of Outlook 2013, and I can't think of anything that might have changed.  In fact, inconveniently, while trying to fix this problem I closed two open PST files that I use frequently and now can't
reopen them because of this error.
I've tried step (c) above.  (a) and (b) don't apply because I can't even select a PST file. I've also tried "Run as Administrator".

  • How to unlock itunes files or you don't have write permission for windows 7

I'm using windows 7 and I can't get into itunes. This is what pops up, unlock itunes files or you do not have write permission. Can someone help please?

You need give the exact error message.
If you get a locked disk message when you try to open iTunes, there are a number of possible causes.
Here are some things to try:
Check the permissions on you iTunes folder in music, your account and SYSTEM should have full control.
    Permissions help:
    http://windowshelp.microsoft.com/Windows/en-US/Help/2464a180-e5dc-45d1-a2b8-3c8a 2b571e9d1033.mspx
    http://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/05/25/how-to-take-ownership-and-grant-permiss ions-in-windows-vista/
    If permissions are OK:
Hold down the shift key and start iTunes, keep holding the shift key until you are prompted to choose a library. Navigate to your iTunes folder and choose iTunes Library.itl.
If this doesn't work, try recreating your library:

If I guessed wrong and you were asking something esle, explain your problem more fully.

    Hi,
When did you get this error? When you tried to save an attachment to your local drive? Please provide more information on this issue so that we can resolve it more efficiently.
Meanwhile, please first check if you have enough permission over the Outlook data file (PST or OST) by locating the data file, right clicking on it and selecting Properties/Security tab.
In addition, we also need to make sure Read-Only attribute is not applied on the data file. To check this, right click on the data file and select Properties. Under General tab, ensure Read-Only check box is not ticked.
Please let me know the result.

  • 3.1 Bug? - Images don't display properly after upgrade to 3.1 from 3.0

When pages are displayed after the upgrade, the image appears the first time the page is opened. Once a user goes to another page, then come back to the page with the image, the image is no longer displayed.
This happens when the browser is set to "Check for newer versions of stored pages". When it checks for the new version, the image is not displayed.
This looks like a Bug? Is someone working on a fix for this?
    Thanks.

    Scott,
Thanks for this information. It is very helpful. May I put you through one last contortion, please?
I would like to see what information is being passed in the HTTP header in the request for one of these broken images. If you have Live HTTP Headers or Firebug for Firefox, or Fiddler for IE, this should hopefully be easy. You don't seem technically challenged in the least, but just for the record, here's what I did using Firefox:
    1) Ran the Timesheets application
    2) For the very first icon on the left "My Timesheets", I right-clicked my mouse and chose "Copy Image Location"
    3) I opened up a new tab in Firefox and pasted the URL and then hit enter to retrieve the image
    4) I turned on Live HTTP headers and then clicked Refresh in my browser.
I am most interested in the If-Modified-Since HTTP header. The full request on my system was:
    GET /pls/apx11c/wwv_flow_file_mgr.get_file?p_security_group_id=191046216955701077&p_fname=eba_timesheets.png HTTP/1.1

  • ITunes is locked, says I don't have write permission

    Hello all,
I'm getting the following error now when I plug in my iPhone 4 or try to open iTunes:
"The folder 'iTunes' is on a locked disk or you do not have write permissions for this folder". I checked the permissions and they appear to be right, so I'm not sure what to do.
I did not change anything, and all I've done is set up Windows Media Center today. Once I was done trying it out, I started getting these messages from iTunes. I tried uninstalling, reinstalling and making sure I was the folder owner via the other help topics, but I'm still getting this error.
I also can't uncheck the "Read Only" option. I uncheck it, the security applies but its right back on the iTunes folder.
Can you uninstall Windows Media Center? Or make sure it hasn't made itself the default media player? That's all I've done differently with my computer and I can't get this stupid error to stop, open my iTunes or synch my phone.
    Help!

+all I've done is set up Windows Media Center today+
Well, that's good to know. Sounds like WMC takes control of the music folder in a rather nasty way!
Give your Windows UserID full control and ownership of the top-level Music folder, and make sure to check the box to apply the changes to all subfolders. The symptom of not being able to uncheck Read-Only and make it stick tells me your windows userID doesn't have control.
    Here's what I'm talking about:
    http://helpdeskgeek.com/windows-7/windows-7-how-to-delete-files-protected-by-tru stedinstaller/
The article's title is how to delete files, but it has the screenshots you need to fix permissions so you can edit files.
P.S. Forgot to mention, you need to restart itunes so it will read the new permissions settings.

  • I can't update, error message says I don't have system permission. There is no admin account on this computer. It only has one user.

This is a one-user Mac running snow leopard. I don't think I ever set up an admin account since I am the only user. Why can't I update Firefox?

    * Download a new copy of the Firefox program: http://www.mozilla.com/firefox/all.html
    * Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re)install.
    * Install the new version that you have downloaded.
