[BUG] Removed source photos: cannot "Cancel all"
It's more a missing feature than a bug, however I just reopened iPhoto after months, just to try out the new version (I'm a Lightroom user).
Long time ago I exported an album to take a look of the software and explore its features. After months those copies have been deleted: they were just a test.
I opened the event and clicked on slideshow. I didn't remember the source photos were missing.
The alert dialog show two buttons: 1) find folder... and 2) cancel.
However, it's missing a "Cancel all", or "skip/ignore/whatever" button to come back to iPhoto. I had to press the Cancel button more than 200 times! It's just plain silly, isn't it?
Is it possible to fix that in a future upgrade?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Your posts tells me that you're running a "referenced" library. That's one of the problems with that. If you don't carefully manage the source files iPhoto just won't work.
You can send a feature request to Apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html.
A force quit probably would have saved you 200 cancels I think.

I believe you will find you can again sync Photos if you delete the "iPod Photo Cache", but predict that any subsequent attempt will fail. In my case, the enxt sync removes all the photos again - I've seen other reports of error messages upon sync. Mine just fails silently. :-) -
IOS5 with iTunes 10.5 Cannot sync all photos to iPhone3GS.
Running iTunes 10.5 on Lion with latest iPhoto update. However, it seems that after this series of upgrades, I cannot sync the whole iPhoto library to my 3GS(around 7xxx photos).
After I choose "All photos, albums, Events, and Faces" under iTunes, it shows my phone still has free space, so I believe this should not be space issue.
I tried to removed iPod photo cache folder and rebuild iPhoto Library. No luck.
Is there anything I miss to solve it?

If you have a Windows computer open a Command window and type:
netsh winsock reset
If this doesn't fix it, or if you have a Mac, your current backup may be corrupted. Delete it by going to iTunes Preferences, Devices tab, highlight the backup and delete it.
And if this still doesn't fix it, you may have a badly corrupted backup. Delete it manually by going the the Backup folder and deleting everything in it. You can find it as follows:
Mac OS: ~Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup
Windows XP %AppData%\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup
Windows Vista and Windows 7: %AppData%\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup -
Anyone know how to remove your own picture that is now attached to all text messages? Since the software update (assume KitKat) my LinkedIn photo is now attached to all my text messages and I never set that up, nor can I figure out how to remove it!

First it was outdated (2012 and the software is 2013/2104) in the Settings/Apps/All section there was no "Text Messaging" icon. Under "Phone/Messaging" the clear cache was not possible, it was not available, an active option.

I have lightroom 5.7. Now I have apple TV to connect my Mac to the TV scree. I wish to do a slide show on the TV. However, on the Mac, using ITunes to share photos with the TV, I cannot locate all photo files. What is the best way to save the slide show and put it where the Mac sharing can find it? So far, I made on one folder in Lightroom, put some photos there and I found them easily. Can this be done with a slide show? Please help quickly! Also worried that the photos I put on the new folder are hard to find afterwards, when the show is done. Where do they go when I delete from from the new folder?I am not alone
Not that I'm aware of. You just export JPEG copies to a folder that you can point iTunes to. For instance, I have created a folder in my Pictures folder called Apple TV. And within that folder I have other folders of pictures that I can choose from in iTunes to share with Apple TV. But there doesn't seem to be any way to share a Lightroom slideshow. If you have laid to create a video file that would probably work. Apple TV is a little clunky in my opinion. Some things are a little more difficult to do now than they were a while back. I probably haven't provided you with much help, but just keep experimenting and I think you will figure it out.

I downloaded the Mac Guard malware this am. Then downloaded Apple update to remove it this afternoon. But it was compromised for like 3 hours. Do I need to cancel all my credit cards now? I'm so freaked out! Please help.
If you supplied name, card number, expiry etc. then your details are already available for sale/abuse and you should cancel at once.

I am guessing that you are referring to the image that Mail puts next to the headers - this is what is in your Address Book, and is just there for convenience. Your photo is not sent with any message unless you attach it via a file or otherwise include it in the message contents.

The only photos you can delete on the iPhone are in the Camera Roll. If the photos you want to delete are in albums you've synced, you need to unsync them through iTunes.

IOS 8 problems. cannot access all photos under ALBUMS and...
Cannot get IPAD2 to sync just keeps going and going... also cannot access all my photos under albums... only videos and "recent photos". I don't like to use the photos that divides the photos up and I could at least see all photo under ALBUMS, now there are only the last 10 or so. Cannot sync ALL my photos from mackbook air to iPhone 4
I cannot sync all of my Photos from iPhoto to my new iPhone 4. It says I have free space though. I have tried: updating itunes, deleting the ipod photo cache and unsyncning then resyncing my photos. Any suggestions?
You can only sync with one computer. You need to backup the contents from the old computer to a hard drive and transfer.
Otherwise, you can use 3rd party software, but the photos are optimizd for the device and will be lower resolution than the originals. -
I cannot sync all my photos from mac to iPhone. The sync finishes before all photos are copied to The iPhone so in my iPhone I have albums with less photos than Mac! I select The album that I want to sync on The iPhone on iTunes but the syncronization finishes before all the photos of the selected albums are copied on The phone.
You should erase all contents and setting before giving your iphone away.

Had you never backed up the phone before? When you saw the iTunes logo and cable, the device was in recovery mode. The data was already lost. The only way to recover from that is to restore the device, which will delete all of your data. You will only be able to restore to your last backup, whenever that was. Sorry this happened, but this highlights the importance of doing regular backups. The backup is the only protection you have against a problem like this.

Cannot upload all photos from ipad to mac ( iphoto )
hi all. im in need of some help. i have just over 4,000 photos ( in the all photos album ) but just 1,335 in the all imported folder.
when i connect my pad to my mac it will only seem to upload the 1,335 pics and the rest in all photos will just not import.

All photos do NOT autmatically go to PS - only the ones you take on the IOS device - any other syou have to add to the PS -
enable PS and on the Mac set to automatically import photos and on the iPad put the photos into it - it has a limit of 1000 so do it in batches and let them migrate and get imported before doing the next batch

It use to be as simple as find, drag and drop into a folder on my old pc. This should be much simpler, any advice or direction extremely welcome……?

There is an alternative to using iPhoto for transferring photos from an iOS device. You can use Image Capture, which will allow you to transfer photos easily. Image Capture is a tool already on your Mac. The following article may help:
Image Capture: Transfer images and other items from your device
Transfer images, video clips, and MP3 sounds to your computer from many cameras and devices that contain a camera, such as your iPhone. Once you transfer the items, you can delete them from the device.
Connect your device to your computer, then turn the device on.If the device is locked with a passcode, enter it.
In Image Capture, select the device in the Devices list.
Use the buttons at the bottom of the Image Capture window to view the thumbnails as a list or as icons to change the size of the thumbnails, or to rotate or delete images.
From the Import To pop-up menu, choose where to save the images or which app to use to open the image.
To import only some of the photos, select those photos, then click Import. To import all the photos, click Import All.Choose AutoImporter from the “Connecting this [device] opens” pop-up menu to transfer images from a device to your computer whenever you connect it to your computer.
Select “Delete after Import” to remove the items from the device after transferring them to your computer. You can also select individual items on your device, then press the Delete key on your keyboard.
