Bug Report Tool Bar Icon Missing

I'm using the latest version of Safari on 10.7.3. I always kept the bug report icon on the tool bar to have a quick way to send a report when necessary. Today when I had an issue I noticed the icon was gone and when I went to the View menu to customize the tool bar I saw that the icon was missing from there as well. I know that Report Bugs To Apple is under the Sfari menu and I used that but I'm wondering why the icon was removed from this version.

Yes, it seems to be gone.
As for why ...
I don't see how anybody here could know what the developers were thinking.

  • Tool Bar icons missing, cannot add more tools

Using Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 with Windows 7. I have a very limited tool bar on the left side of the screen. It has three tools, a zoom icon, a hand tool, and a color picker icon. They reside in a gray bar that spans the left side of my screen. There is a small white triangle above them that resets tools but doesn't seem to do anything. Above that is the file menu. I wish to add more tools to this bar but cannot find a way to do it. I especially want the burn and dodge tool. Presently I have to go to the guided menu, click on perfect portrait, and scroll down to the tool each and every time that I use it. Very tedious. Hope someone can help.

    Hi,
It sounds as though you are in Guided edit mode - have you tried switching to full edit?
    Hope that helps

  • Partial Missing main Tool Bar icons or headers OSX 10.8.5

OS X Version 10.8.5, MacBook Air 13 inch Mid Oct 2013. Processor  1.3 GHz Intel Core i5, Memory  4 GB 1600 MHz DDR3, Graphics  Intel HD Graphics 5000 1024 MB
My main tool bar shows menu items on the left side OK. i.e. the Apple icon, Safari, File, Edit, View etc or Finder, Edit, View, Go.
But on the right side of the main menu bar, the following icons are missing "Time Machine, BlueTooth, Wifi, Volume" i.e they show as a blank space on the menu bar.
The following are visible "% Battery, Day and Time", but then again "Spot light" icon or shortcut is missing. I must mouse over the grey blank space in order for the drop down menu to appear.
Also in Finder most of the menu headers are grey and blank with no icons or instructions, I again have to mouse over them to find out what they control.
I'm not sure what caused this or how I can "reset" so that the menu headers appear again? I've tried software updates, this doesn't work. It's been like this for several months.

"The most basic information that SMART provides is the SMART status. It provides only two values: "threshold not exceeded" and "threshold exceeded". Often these are represented as "drive OK" or "drive fail" respectively. A "threshold exceeded" value is intended to indicate that there is a relatively high probability that the drive will not be able to honor its specification in the future: that is, the drive is "about to fail". The predicted failure may be catastrophic or may be something as subtle as the inability to write to certain sectors, or perhaps slower performance than the manufacturer's declared minimum."

  • The tool bar is missing for font, size and color for lettering in elements 9

Iam missing tool bar for font, style and size and color. where is it?

Are you sure you have the regular horizontal or vertical type tool and not one of the type masks selected? If you choose the type mask tools you see a dotted outline around the T icon instead of a solid T.

  • Changing size of tool bars & icons in Photoshop Elements 10

Was using Photoshop Elements 10 on my windows vista with no problems. Just got a new computer with Windows 7 and moved Elements 10 with no installation error messages.
Just tried to edit some pictures and all the tool bars and icons are so tiny - extremely hard to read. Tried adjusting the text size to 150% in control panel but it did not change anything in Elements.
Is there a setting that can be readjusted - do I need to uninstall and reinstall with some setting tweaks??
    Please help!!!!

You need to use the default, 100% screen font size in Windows to prevent problems like tool cursors and menu bars not displaying correctly.
There's no way to adjust PSE's font size or icon size.

  • Bug Report: Page # and Icon Lost After Rename

I love the new file management features in version 10.3 but I noticed some problems right away.
After renaming a document, the current page position is lost and the document opens at page 1.  This first one I renamed was a 400-page book and this was a bit annoying.  I realize this is consistent with the desktop version which does not save the page position, but it is inconsistent with the iPad behavior for opening and closing documents.  A fix or a warning should be implemented.
Also lost is the document icon, which reverts to a generic Reader logo.  This is more of a cosmetic thing.  I noticed the icon does not get restored after opening the document.  It seems necessary to scroll down to page 2 for the icon to refresh.

  • XL Reporter Tool Bar

When I generate a report in XL Reporter my tool bar in XL is not active, it's greyed out.  What do I need to do to be able to use it?

Thanks for the suggestions.  I have restarted the applications and I'm logged on as a superuser.  Full disclosure, I'm running SBO 2007 and Office 2007.  The tool bar is showing up in Excel still "greyed" out.  Do I need to be a specific cell or column?  I been through the security settings and they are correct.  Could my report be flawed.

  • How do I make a brush signature when the tool bar is missing the magic wand tool?

I am missing the magic wand tool from the tool bar on the left of cc.  How do I retrieve it or is it completely missing from the photoshop cc download?  I need it to make a brush signature for signing photos.

    Hi,
Most likely the magic wand tool is not missing.
The Magic Wand Tool is grouped with the Quick Selection Tool in the tool box

  • Tool bar icon

When viewing mail in my inbox I have the archive icon in the toolbar instead of the trash icon. The trash icon is in the tool bar in sent , draft view. How do I get the trash icon back on the tool bar in the inbox.
    Many thanks

In that case you should be able to disable archiving via Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Gmail Account > Archive Messages (from http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4207)

  • ITunes desperately needs bug reporting tools

Since this is the closest I'm going to get, I'd like to say that for some reason, if iTunes is minimized, whenever I use my media keys for volume (V up/down or mute), it gets counted twice. Works fine if iTunes is closed or focused, but otherwise, it doesn't. I also only noticed this behavior in iTunes 7.1.1. Why do all of their .1 releases break the control interface? 7.0.1 didn't let external programs control iTunes. Stupid people.

    hi Lance!
actually we've also got (at long last) a dedicated itunes application feedback form now. it has a "bug report" feedback category. here's a link through to that:
    iTunes application feedback
the following page is also helpful ... it contains all the Apple product feedback forms (including the QuickTime one, and all the different iPod ones):

  • Acrotray tool bar is missing in Office

I just re installed Acrobat Pro 8.0 and it did not install the acrotray option in the toolbar in office.
How do I get it on the tool bar, it is very useful to me. I can only create .pdf documents via the print menu.
    Thanks,
    JWB

I assume you are talking about the PDF Maker menu and toolbar items. AcroTray is the package that monitors the output of the Adobe PDF printer to activate Distiller. If you did the standard install, it should be there, but may have to be activated. As mentioned by Robert, if you have newer OS or OFFICE, you will have to update to AA8.1.2, at least to get things to work correctly, and that may be the issue. The activation issue has been discussed on this forum many times and you should be able to find it with a forum search.

  • My tool bar is missing. All I have are "Most visited, getting started and latest headlines on my tool bar. There is no "tool" option, history or anything. How do i go about getting it back?

I can't find anything to let me get my toolbar back! I don't know how it was removed either so I can't undo what was done. All of the "Help" comments on Firefox.com pertain to adding stuff to your tool bar but I don't have one!

  • Menu Bar Icons Missing

Pre-Yosemite I was running Obsidian Bar and Bartender but since I've update my menu is missing several icons including the time, batter image/percentage, and user. When I go to System Preferences and select Date & Time and go to clock, whenever I check the box that says "Show date and time in menu bar" but every time i check the box it will instantly uncheck itself.  I don't use time machine so thats not an option.  Looking for a way to reset my menu bar to factory settings without changing my entire laptop

Please read this whole message before doing anything.
This procedure is a test, not a solution. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    Step 1
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is localized to your user account.
Enable guest logins* and log in as Guest. Don't use the Safari-only “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac.”
While logged in as Guest, you won’t have access to any of your documents or settings. Applications will behave as if you were running them for the first time. Don’t be alarmed by this behavior; it’s normal. If you need any passwords or other personal data in order to complete the test, memorize, print, or write them down before you begin.
Test while logged in as Guest. Same problem?
After testing, log out of the guest account and, in your own account, disable it if you wish. Any files you created in the guest account will be deleted automatically when you log out of it.
*Note: If you’ve activated “Find My Mac” or FileVault, then you can’t enable the Guest account. The “Guest User” login created by “Find My Mac” is not the same. Create a new account in which to test, and delete it, including its home folder, after testing.
    Step 2
The purpose of this step is to determine whether the problem is caused by third-party system modifications that load automatically at startup or login, by a peripheral device, by a font conflict, or by corruption of the file system or of certain system caches.
Please take this step regardless of the results of Step 1.
Disconnect all wired peripherals except those needed for the test, and remove all aftermarket expansion cards, if applicable. Start up in safe mode and log in to the account with the problem. You must hold down the shift key twice: once when you turn on the computer, and again when you log in.
Note: If FileVault is enabled in OS X 10.9 or earlier, or if a firmware password is set, or if the startup volume is a software RAID, you can’t do this. Ask for further instructions.
Safe mode is much slower to start up and run than normal, with limited graphics performance, and some things won’t work at all, including sound output and Wi-Fi on certain models. The next normal startup may also be somewhat slow.
The login screen appears even if you usually log in automatically. You must know your login password in order to log in. If you’ve forgotten the password, you will need to reset it before you begin.
Test while in safe mode. Same problem?
After testing, restart as usual (not in safe mode) and verify that you still have the problem. Post the results of Steps 1 and 2.

  • Menu bar icons missing and unable to switch from cm-based rulers

I am running Pages '09 4.0.4. I'm having issues with the program in that the icons above the top bar items (View, Full Screen, Outline, etc.) are missing. Also, the rulers are stuck in centimeter mode, regardless of what I change it to within the preferences.
I figure this is due to the program being damaged (missing certain parts), however, after feverish Google searches, I have yet to find a method of repair installation. I tried reinstalling from the iWork DVD, but that did not work. I do not want to lose the templates I've made if I have to uninstall/reinstall.
Suggestions on how to fix this? If you suggest reinstallation, can you please provide steps?
    Thank you!

Have you moved Pages from the iWork folder where it was installed?
