Bug? scroll bar hides behind filmstrip in Grid view

In Library Grid view, when scrolling to the bottom of the grid, the scroll bar slider gets hidden behind the film strip at the bottom of the window.
OS: WinXP SP2, 4GB RAM

Okay, I will answer my own question in case anyone else sees the problem.
When I am viewing my large catalog with only three thumbnails across in LR, I lose the little button to slide up and down. When I change Grid View to show four or more thumbnails, the button reappears. I'd suggest this is a bug needing fixing.

  • Scroll bar hides bottom of JTree

I have a dialog with a JTree in a JScrollPane and it's possible to have the dialog at just the right size that the scroll pane becomes confused. Both scroll bars are displayed and when I try to scroll down to the bottom of the tree, the scroll pane keeps resetting itself so that the horizontal scroll bar covers the bottom of the tree. If I want to see the bottom of the trr, I must resize the dialog. I looked in the bug database but didn't find anything similar to this problem.

It's not that the vertical scrollbar is the wrong size. It's that the VSB's thumb won't stay all the way at the bottom. Instead, it springs back to a position approx. halfway. The problem occurs when there's enough text in a tree entry to force the display of the HSB and the VSB's thumb is all the way at the bottom. I can't include a screen shot here as the boss doesn't want to have to mess with proprietary info and non-disclosure agreements, so I hope the description I gave is sufficient.

  • Scroll bar trouble in filmstrip mode

In horizontal filmstrip mode (Bridge 2.1.0.100), the right end of the horizontal scroll bar is not visible. If I make the Bridge window smaller than full screen, I can drag the slider out of sight beyond the right side of the Bridge window, but not far enough to see all the files. The right side of the Bridge window appears to be otherwise normal.
    What's happening?

    Thanks again Curt,
I seem to have fixed it. I opened the pop-out menu associated with the filmstrip button(#1)in the lower-right-hand corner of the window and re-selected Horizontal Filmstrip. That fixed the scroll bar (displayed the right edge of it). I couldn't increase the screen resolution because I was already at the native resolution for the (flat-panel) monitor. When I had the Bridge window open to less than screen size, it was very strange to drag the scroll bar outside the Bridge window where it disappeared. I could move it even though I couldn't see it.

  • How to hide albums names in Grid View

Some albums names are too long, like "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb". In small screens, like MacBook, is a mess to use Grid View because all long names comes with a cut and "…".
Can I just hide the albums names and artists names? Would be great if I could have just the covers without the characters soap.

    Woohoo!
I'm a little drunk right now, it being saturday night, but giving this a cursory and immediate look-over,
it appears to me that this is exactly what I wanted!
And also, it seems kind of basic and stupid of me that I have missed it. It seems kind of foolish of me, not fully exploring the "view" menu.
Of course I explored it a bit, but I did not think that the column browser would contain what I needed / wanted.
I kind of wrongly assumed that all views were on the GUI, but now that I think about it, that makes no sense. The GUI never shows everything in any app.....
    Thanks a million!
Until further notice, I think that's just what I was after, as well as the other answers contained in your previous posts.
    Thanks again Steve!
I appreciate your answers. Really accurate.

  • Set the horizontal scroll bar for the OOTb document library view

    hi all,
Am facing an issue in my sp portal. We have designed and developed the portal with OOTB document library views for site columns also. Going to enable the doc lib view. but  we have some  35 columns in eeacha nd every document
library within our sub site. But if an end user wants to see the last column then he needs to scroll. but, since  then my master page has fixed width, the top corner will be seen as blank. would like to know how can we set horizontal scrolling
in this doc lib view .
    Das

    Hi,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to set the horizontal scroll bar for the document library when the last column postion exceed the fixed width.
I suggest you can try to use Jquery to set the width attribute of the menu bar dynamically if the document library width exceeded. You can add the Jquery or CSS style using SharePoint Designer under the PlaceHolderMain tag of document
library page. Also, you need to find the div id in your environment using Internet Explorer.

  • How to view scroll bar in filmstrip view in aperture 3.2.2?

I have aperture 3.2.2 and normally work in filmstrip mode.  In the documentation I notice a scroll bar underneath the filmstrip, allowing you to scroll quickly through the images.  When I open aperture I see no such scroll bar.  Underneath the filmstrip I have keyword controls, but no scroll bar.  I have a couple of arrows that allow me to move one image to left or right, but no scroll bar.  Is there a simple way to be able to have the scroll bar be visible?  Thanks, Ric

Ok, It now has suddenly appeared.  I switched between the viewing modes several times, and now the scroll bar is appearing.  It took a long time (and many switches) for this to work, but now it works fine.

  • The menu navigation on top hides behind embedded video object, when the embedded object is .wmv file

When you mouseover on the Top Navigation menu. The menu bar hides behind the embedded wmv video object. This issue doesnt happen if the video object embedded is a you tube video and also this page works correctly in IE7

Lightbox with any other content should work as expected where slideshow will bring the fade effect for all other contents on page.
Please provide the page link where you see this behavior.

  • Smooth scrolling in Library (grid view)

The scrolling has been greatly improved in grid view. It feels not slugginsh anymore (I do have one of the latest iMac + SSD) at rendering the thumbnails.
However, the view is still not using the smooth scrolling hability in Mac OS: it scolls by steps which is very annoying because it is perfectly smooth when grabing the view between thumbnails.

  • CS 6 UI Bugs, can't resize pallets, hide scroll bars.

I'm using a trial of CS6, however the UI is incredibly frustrating.
The biggest problem is resizing pallets to create a useful workspace, when they are floating I can resize them to an acceptable size, but when they are docked they cannot be resized by themselves. Such as in this example Frustratingly, attempting to resize panels while docked will have no effect on the selected panel, but will shrink or hide other panels in the dock.
I'ts also perplexing that I can't turn of the scroll bars, any  barely intermediate user knows they can pan the artboard by holding down space - I don't need this feature or any of the frankly useless information also contained on that bar. It is quite literally a waste of space.
Has anyone found a solution for either of these two problems?
    Thanks

    No solution?
Ok then, I have no desire to upgrade to something which makes my job more difficult.

  • Please provide option to display/hide SCROLL BARS

    Hello.
My colleagues and I are not happy with Acrobat and Acrobat Read for the reason that, regardless of computer and operating system, these products refuse to show the scroll bars when one opens a PDF in full scrreen mode. There's simply no option anywhere under Preferences or elsewhere in the application to force Acrobat or Acrobat Reader to display the scroll bars. Needless to say, this is exceptionally annoying. We've got hundreds of PDF's saved in full screen mode, and we must be able to use the scroll bars.
Please provide a check box option to display/hide scroll bars under Page Display (or some other preference category) to overide any wonky display behaviour in Acrobat/Reader.
    Rupertsland.

Or as I usually describe it, we've changed from "starts with" to "contains". There are not too many regex aficionados in here. ;-)
This bug is annoying many users. I'm not so sure it's a backward step; it seems it's easier for someone such as myself with increasingly vague and inexact recollection to find an Address Book entry without needing an accurate starting point for the search. The ability to search by ''any'' part of the address, such as the domain, or the nickname, seems useful to me too.
If you typed "Ken " or "ngs" then you'd likely get the entry you want, wouldn't you?
A more significant bug, IMHO, is that when you have selected Ken's entry, it isn't necessarily the one that gets inserted into the address field.
There is a bug for this and it's being worked on, but I'm not sure you'll get your /^name/ option. You could go back to, say, TBv24.6.

  • Hide TextArea scroll bar

Has anyone found a way to hide, edit, alpha the scroll bar
with the TextArea component (flash CS3 - AS2)?
I can hide the border, alpha the background, but no way to
    hide the scrollbar... arggg.
my example... when you click one of the buttons (bottom) you
will notice the scroll bar (right) flickers then disappears and the
text also shifts. I hid the border and alpha the background but
need to get rid of the scrollbar.

"If you can tell me what you are trying to accomplish..."
    - Folks want flash on their home page but don't know Flash or
    have the app.
    - I provide this "system" to them.
    - They upload the files to their server
    - They include the satay method of embedding the flash into
their markup (existing web page based off of official templates
    provided by my office)
    - All they need to maintain are the text files, images, and
    css (for styling text).
    - No need to open/use the Flash application to maintain this
    system.
It works perfectly other then the scroll bar flickering and
text shifting bug(s) that occurs within the TextArea Component.
That's the only issue that is causing this project to be held up.
    "They are always overly coded..."
Myself and two other Flashers have developed this system
(timeline) as slim and as simple as we possibly could. I'm sure
there's a better way to produce this system by using timeline
actionscripting... but our skills are limited.
    "hard to trace their logic."
Logic is... not to have to open/use the Flash app to maintain
this system. Only maintain external files.

  • Remove/Hide scroll bars in scroll panes.

    Hi all,
I am pretty new to action script. I am building a photo gallery and I am loading the thumbnails from an XML file into a scroll pane dynamically. As the scroll pane fills up, it gets wider to accomodate the thumbnails. There is one row, and eventually, I want to have the user be able to mouse left or right and have the scroll pane scroll, versus clicking on the bar or the left/right arrows. However, in order to accomplish this, I need the scroll bars to disappear!
Is there anyway to either remove or hide both the x and y scroll bars on a scroll pane? My scroll pane is called: thumbPane.
    Thanks in advance!
