Bug - VPN Connection Status Doesn't Show

I added my corporate VPN connection and connected just fine. However, the charms bar nor the Network Connections window reflects the status of the connection. I can view the ip address from a command prompt, but the charms bar only shows "Connect"
when it should show "Disconnect". If you go to Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections and click "View status of this connection" it displays properly. but the icon in that location neither shows connected or disconnected.

And now it's working... Hmmmm...

WRT54GC - VPN connects but doesn't connect

I have a WRT54GC. When I use the Netgear ProSafe VP Client in order to connect to my clients network through his Netgear router. The Security Policy appears to be correctly set up because when I try to connect the Netgear client software indicates that I have successfully connected. Also.... on the other side of the connection, behind his Netgear router, the system administrator sees my local, non-routable IP as having connected.
Unfortunately that's as far as it goes because I can't connect with Remote Desktop and can't ping any of the computers on his network. It connects but doesn't allow me to do anything or see any of the computers on his network.
If I by-pass my router and connect directly to the Internet through my cable modem using the Netgear VPN client...everything works fine, evidently there is a problem which resides within the confines of my WRT54GC router.
Anyone have a clue as to what I should do?

I already had those ports open Carrot but today I discovered another clue to my problem. I have two computers here, one with Windows 2003 and the other with XP. For somereason I was able to get it to work witht he XP machine whereas the Windows 2003 machine won't work. As I said a connection IS being made, proof that the ports are opened, I just can't do anything even though both sides of the connection seem to indicate that a connection has been made. I can't ping any computers on the other side of the connection or use Remote Desktop.
My quess is that there is something in the configuration of my Windows 2003 Server machine that is causing the problem. What that might be I don't know.

Office365 - PasswordNeverExpires status doesn't show any status

I have a question about office365 passwordneverexpire setting.
Normally, when I execute the command "get-msoluser -userprincipalname "UserID" |select PasswordNeverExpires ", I can see the status "True/False". But, in my case, it doesn't show any status.

Looks like the "Administrative queues" implementation could have been planned around design time. Then the requests could be assigned and managed by different roles(groups) member with different access levels in OIM.
However, in my current setup - all workflows follows this rule 1) Route the request for manager approval 2) After successful manager approval, route it for application group approval (2nd step of approval). Implementation of "Administrative queues" in this setup looks difficult to me.
Any comment?

IPod Appears As Connected But Doesn't Show Up On iTunes

I synced my ipod (an 80GB Classic) the night before and when I turned it on later it was like a clean slate; no music, no videos, just some pictures. Well I tried to sync it today but itunes prompted me to restore it to its factory settings because there had been an error. Now when I try to connect it, it doesn't show up on my itunes even though my ipod itself shows connection has been made. I have tried "the 5 R's", have the latest version of itunes and still all I have to show are the same few pictures... I've only had it for a little over two months and have had no problems prior to this, can someone please help?

Also you might try forcing the iPod into disk mode first, then connecting it to your computer and see if that makes it show up in iTunes...

iPod says it's "connected" but it doesn't show up on iTunes. I've tried to reset it but can't figure out how to restore it. Everything on the ipod has been erased and it keeps freezing...

ok, ive been having the dame problem as the guy/girl who posted it i went to the site and i restarted the iPod service, that didn't work, then i uninstalled itunes and it showed up in itunes the first time i pluged my it in but a message, i thnk it was "-48" something about not being able to sync but it synced all the songs but the next time i plugged it didn't show up in itunes and a message in the bottom syaing "Windows - Delayed Write Failed, Windows was unable to save all the data for the file I:\ipod.control

Microsoft's connect website doesn't show content properly in firefox

I have contacted Microsoft directly regarding this matter but did not receive a reply. Also their connect website no longer allows filing bugs on the website itself so I don't know where else to report this. Please forward this to whomever oversees the site.
If you view a bug report submitted on connect in Firefox the description will be cut off if goes past the width of its container. It has been like this for many months. The text should wrap as it does in Chrome and IE. For example this bug:

For the connect site issue, sorry for that we also didn't support it, you know that actually this forum is to discuss the VS IDE. I think that you'd better discuss this issue with the connect members.
This issue the result in IE after I visit it in my side.
In addition, since the Firefox is the third party browser, it is hard for me to help you repro this issue in my side. But if possible, you could test it in different machine with the same browser, I'm not very sure that whether it is the Firefox browser
issue or the connect web site issue. But you could discuss this issue with connect site members, please also post this issue to the Firefox forum, so they could help you repro this issue better if it is hard for you to really repro this issue in different
machines.

New PHP/MySQL Connection extension doesn't show tables. What's the next step?

I'm creating Dreamweaver extensions to work with my CMS.
Since it is already connecting to the MySQL database I'd like
Dreamweaver to access the same connection without asking the
developer for the MySQL credentials again. I have created the HTML
form, the EDML for the connection script, and the JavaScript to
stitch it together, and I can successfully create connections. The
connection script looks good but when I try to expand the tables in
the database window it doesn't post a request to the server and it
just shows "None". I have a regular PHP MySQL connection on the
same site which works fine.
I feel like I'm missing a required next step which would tell
it how to enumerate tables. It would be ideal if I could plug into
the existing PHP MySQL code for this.
I would really appreciate any help and/or pointers!

9300i connects but doesn't show up in PC Sync

Hi,
My 9300i connects via Bluetooth and the Nokia PC Suite. I can transfer files no problem, so it is definitely connected.
However, the PC Sync window shows no phone connected, and clicking on the "Select Phone" does nothing at all. It all used to work fine, then suddenly stopped - I've upgrade PC Suite twice, to no avail.
Any clues?

Does this happen with other applications?
Try opening a Terminal window and typing:
killall Dock
Which will restart the Dock. I bet it shows up. Other folks have had issues with this and it's usually the Dock has crashed.

Server Admin connected but doesn't show anything

Server Admin can't seem to show anything from the local server. Overview is empty and the services overview says Not available, Yet I know the services are available. I rebooted the server, but nothing.
Any hints as to what is happening. I look at system.log but nothing jumps at a me for a problem. And the servermgrd only shows:

How do I get back control?

I believe the GUI communicates via servermgrd. You could try "sudo launchctl load /System/Library/LaunchDaemons/ com.apple.servermgrd.plist" and replace "load" with "unload" as required.
Verify that servermgrd is running to begin with.
Also, you could remove the server from the list, reboot, and add it back via IP or loopback address and "server_name.local" to see if it responds.
You might also see if it will respond to the Admin Tools installed on an appropriate workstation.

If you have not already, I would shut down (power off) your computer. Do this to Reset your shuffle

Start up computer. Run iTunes. Connect shuffle.
If you have added a new USB device recently (since the last time it worked properly), you may want to try disconnecting it to see if that makes any difference.

VPN connection doesn't show up on PC settings list after upgraded to Windows 8.1

I can create VPN connection and I can see it in "Change Adaptor Settings". But it is not list on the right-side PC setting menu. When I click on the VPN I created, it turns to the right-side PC setting menu. Usually the VPN was listed there
and click it to connect. But since upgrading to 8.1, the VPN connection is not list on PC settings anymore. Therefore I have no way to connect to VPN.
Can anyone help?????

Regarding current information, I suggest you run following commands to scan and repair system:
System file checker:
SFC /SCANNOW
Repair system components:
dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
If these don't work, please help to test this issue under new user account since this issue can be caused by corrupted user profile.

The dialogs doesn't show up over HTTPS connection.

JWS usually shows Version check and Launching dialog when it start up.
But when it started over HTTPS connection, those dialogs doesn't show up.
When we use HTTP connection, the application launch by following step.
1. Java loading dialog shows
2. Version check dialog shows
3. Launching application dialog shows
4. Application launched
However, in the case of HTTPS connection, step2, 3's dialog doesn't show up.
(It might be skipped? What's going on?)
I think that the step1,2,3 are processed by JavaWebStart.
Is there any way to show these dialogs when we use HTTPS connection?
Client: Windows XP(SP2), JDK: 1.4.2_06
Web Server: WebLogic(ver.8.1)

When running over http or file protocol, these dialogs are shown if the update check takes more than 1500 ms, when application must be updated before launching (due in 1.5.0 to offline-allowed not being specified, or setting <update check="always" /> in 6.0) (assuming target isn't using basic authentication). If the update check can complete in less time than that, then the dialogs will not be shown.
For https, there is a probability that the attempted https connection will cause https security dialogs, which would then always cause the check to take more than 1500 seconds (or whatever timeout is configured) so webstart won't show the download progress dialog untill it knows there is an update.
This should be a bug, since it is handled beter in BasicAuthentication case.
If you are using Authentication, the download dialog will show up only after 1500 ms if the JAuthenticator chalange dialog is not being shown.
Similarilly, using https, he dialog should show after 1500 ms (or whatever timeout) if the https security dialog, or host mismatch dialog is not showmin.

RV320 problem with VPN connect (BUG)

Today I bought and I adjusted RV320, at once I saw some problems.
Firmware last
1. I adjusted two VPN tunnels between RV320 and two RV-082
also I saw what not one tunnel in Web panel not connect.
I many times pressed, the condition didn't change!
Having made Ping on 192.168.1.1 computers in a network 192.168.1.0 I saw answers:
it is simple a miracle or huge BUG.
2 The second BUG, VPN tunel No. 2 doesn't work in general as don't kick. And before there was RV-042G and RV-82 and everything was OK
