This code work fine in server 2008, but get this error in server 2012.  Do yo have any idea?

Need some more info as to where this is installed and how.
First thing to try would be to uninstall the solution and reinstall.
Check the GAC for your assembly as well as web.config.
If you don't see it in one of those places, something went wrong with the install and you'll need to start over.

    Hi,
Please check the event viewer to get more detailed error information about this issue.
You can also remotely access it from another server by adding this server in the server manager of the remote server, and try to access the roles and features from the remote server, and tackle the problem from there.
    I hope this helps.

  • File/Storage Errors in Server 2012

    Hi
We are running Server 2012 (proper, downloaded from licensing portal) and are using it as an NFS server for some of our VM Ware machines.
Yesterday the NFS storage went offline for approx. 15 minutes, and then came back online.  The following errors are found in Event Viewer, these errors appear to have been happening since 21/08 but this the first time the NFS server has gone offline.
This error is found in the Applications Log:
File Server Resource Manager finished syncing claims from Active Directory and encountered errors during the sync (0x80072030, There is no such object on the server.
).  Please check previous event logs for details.
And is accompanied by this error:
File Server Resource Manager failed to find the claim list 'Global Resource Property List' in Active Directory (ADsPath:
LDAP://mydc.mydomain.local/CN=Global Resource Property List,CN=Resource Property Lists,CN=Claims Configuration,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=mydc,DC=local). Please check that the claims list configured for
this machine in Group Policy exists in Active Directory.
Additionally the following error appears in the System log, but not at the same time as the above:
The Group Policy Client Side Extension Folder Redirection was unable to apply one or more settings because the changes must be processed before system startup or user logon. The system will wait for Group Policy processing to finish completely before
the next startup or logon for this user, and this may result in slow startup and boot performance.
Our PDC is Server 2003 R2, we have a 2008R2 DC and the 2012 server seems to be authenticating with this DC.  There are no errors on that DC.
    Any help appreciated.
    Many thanks

I thing the following site gives a solution:
    It is a schema problem...
Event ID 12339 and 12344: File Server Resource Manager failed to find claim list
Problem: You are running a Windows Server 2012 file server and you see the error messages in your logs every 15 minutes or so.
    1) Event ID: 12339
File Server Resource  Manager failed to find the claim list 'Global Resource Property List' in Active Directory (ADsPath: LDAP://dc1.domain.local/CN=Global Resource Property List,CN=Resource Property Lists,CN=Claims Configuration,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=domain,DC=local).
Please check that the claims list configured for this machine in Group Policy exists in Active Directory.
    2) Event ID: 12344
File Server Resource  Manager finished syncing claims from Active Directory and encountered errors during the sync (0x80072030, There is no such object on the server.) Please check previous event logs for details.
Solution: You can either upgrade the Active Directory schema to version 56 (Windows Server 2012) or safely ignore the error messages.
If you can update the schema of your domain. Follow these steps:
    1)
log on to Windows Server 2012 as Administrator of your domain
    2)
Copy from "support \adprep" in the media of Windows Server 2012 to "c:\"
    3)
    run this command
    c:\adprep\adprep.exe /forestprep

  • Bare metal restore of full server backup fails with RPC error 0x800706BA (server 2012)

With Windows Server 2012, after creating a successful windows server backup (full server), I am unable to do a bare metal restore of the system.
EFI System Partition, C:, D: are the volumes on a single array (Raid 5).
Loading WinRE and launching re-image, the full server restore stops after completing the C: restore just after beginning the D: drive restore (data volume) with the error with the message about RPC error 0x800706BA, unavailable.
The system will not boot as a result of the failure.
    What may be causing this?
    [edit]
I think I have two things working against me here... one, Volume Shadow Copy service wasn't running in WinPE and two.. the D: volume contains data deduplication.
I think this is causing some of my problems.
Is there an additional service that I need to start in WinPE to get a volume that was deduplicated restored perhaps using wbadmin?

    Hi,
    Thanks for the reply Shaon.
The hardware system is identical; however, I am increasing storage capacity from 12TB to 16TB.  Basically, the system is the same, just new hard drives (4x4TB versus 4x3TB).  Drives are all identical enterprise class drives and I am actually using
the same system (backup, swap drives then restore).
I tried both using the WinRE restore (re-image) with the backup set, and tried using wbadmin.  Both produce same RPC unavailable messages (although using the GUI based tool via WinRE provides the additional error code #).
I do not have any idea what to look at to try to figure this one out.
    [edit]
I was just informed of this posting:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/147efccc-e0e9-4458-852e-c3a44ae5cb64/the-system-image-restore-failed-error-details-he-rpc-server-is-unavailable-0x800706ba?forum=windowsbackup
and in my case, this lab server does in fact act also as a DC as well as a file server...  do I need to spin up a secondary controller (perhaps in a VM on another machine) to do this restore?

  • Setup closed with exit code: 0x84C40013 - Silent Install error - SQL Server 2012 express management studio SP1

I am trying to create a silent installation package for SQL Server 2012 Express Management Studio SP1. (both x86 & x64)
Prior to installation I have performed the following :
    1. Turned ON the Windows feature 'Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1' (I had read somewhere on the internet that this is required prior to installation)
    2. Installed Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0
I am using the following command line to perform an unattended install :
    <EXENAME> /Q /IACCEPTSQLSERVERLICENSETERMS /ACTION=install /FEATURES=Tools
    However, the installation fails abruptly.
The application installs successfully with the following command line :
    <EXENAME> /IACCEPTSQLSERVERLICENSETERMS /ACTION=install /FEATURES=Tools
The error occurs only while attempting to install the application with the /Q switch appended.
    Please help.

    Hello Fanny,
Thanks for providing the link to the SQL Server 2012 unattended install guide.
However, I must highlight that I was running the setup.exe with "Run As a Administrator" option and still facing the issue.
Anyways, I found out the root cause and I must say that it was a rather silly one.
As I had stated previously, the following command line was causing the issue :
    <EXENAME>
    /Q /IACCEPTSQLSERVERLICENSETERMS /ACTION=install /FEATURES=Tools
I simply changed it to the following and it worked....
    <EXENAME>
    /QUIET /IACCEPTSQLSERVERLICENSETERMS /ACTION=INSTALL /FEATURES=TOOLS
It so seems that everything must be in CAPITALS for this to work.

  • Continued DCOM Errors on Server 2012

We started noticing this error reoccurring after I set up a Powershell routine that sends daily emails to us with the errors from the systems Event Viewer log.  At first it was once or two a day and today it was 5 yesterday it was 7.  We are constantly
getting the follow error on our 2012 server:
The description for Event ID '10010' in Source 'DCOM' cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display the message, or you may not have permission to access them. The following information
    is part of the event:
    '{73E709EA-5D93-4B2E-BBB0-99B7938DA9E4}'
When I use a Powershell routine that returns information about all the DCOM's I get this:
    Application ID:  {73E709EA-5D93-4B2E-BBB0-99B7938DA9E4}
Caption:  Microsoft WMI Provider Subsystem Host
Description:  Microsoft WMI Provider Subsystem Host
    Installation Date:
Name:  Microsoft WMI Provider Subsystem Host
    Status:
So Powershell script says it says it is there.  Then how can we get the error message that the DCOM cannot be found? We have ran a malware program on the server and come up with nothing.  Checked the registry key and everything there seems to be
set correctly.  Checked for server updates and there are none.  Checked for Firmware updates (Dell PowerEdge Server) and nothing there either.
Of the 10 or so servers we have, this one with Server 2012 on it is the only one that giving us these errors, or any errors (not including Terminal Service errors), and we would like to find out what the problem is and correct it.
    Thank you for any suggestions.
    Mark

I am still getting these errors more than 10 times a day during the week but hardly any on the weekends.

  • Infamous 0x80072EE6 error WSUS (Server 2012)

    Hi Folks
In a test test lab I have setup a windows 2012 R2 server (home-dc-01.pcecorp.com) and a few domain joined windows 8 clients.  The server has WSUS installed and I have configured a group policy with WSUS settings.
However the test clients report the Infamous error: 0x80072EE6 when I try to run an update.
    client log snip:
2014-10-21    14:45:18:403     884    960    EP    FATAL: SLS: Failed to construct full endpoint URL, error = 0x80072EE6
I have tried setting WUServer and WUStatusServer in group policy to combinations of:
    home-dc-01.pcecorp.com
    http://home-dc-01.pcecorp.com
http://home-dc-01.pcecorp.com:8530      (I understand this is what I should use!)
the client is picking up the settings from group policy policy as [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate] is getting populated
I can query DNS and ping 'home-dc-01.pcecorp.com'
Date/time and zone are correctly set
I have disabled the firewall on both the server and client
Dropped a test.htm file on the server in "C:\Program Files\Update Services\WebServices\Root"and I can sucsesfully access this from a client in a browser at:  http://home-dc-01.pcecorp.com:8530/test.htm
Bindings on the 'WSUS Administraton' site are as default:
    http: 8530
    https: 8531
    Any other ideas?
    Thanks in advance

    Hi,
The error code 0x80072EE6 means that the client can't recognize the protocol.
Plese post the complete windowsupdate.log here. It may give some hints.
Besides, could you try to run the WSUS Client Diagnostic Tool on the client?

  • Windows Update error 80246003 Server 2012 / 2012 R2

    Hi All,
I'm running into a problem trying to apply an update from WSUS 3.2.7600.226. Other updates have succeeded OK but I'm left with this one failing on more than one server. All the other updates seem fine but once this update fails windows update appears broken
and will no longer update anything.
The update is KB2538243. I've attached the error to this post and also included some logs below.
So far I've removed the servers from wsus. Stopped the wuauserv service and deleted the "software distribution" folder. used gpupdate to detect them again. Nothing seems to work. The patches have been applied to wsus to allow updating of W8 and
    2012.

The patches have been applied to wsus to allow updating of W8 and 2012.
Looks to me like you've installed KB2734608 on the WSUS server and then failed to perform the required post-installation client-side procedures, resulting in the WUA being unable to validate the installation file (because it doesn't have the SHA-2 hash cached
    in the client-side datastore).

  • Wsus installation error in server 2012

    Hi
when i am choosing the content directory path in wsus i am geting this error
Log file is located at C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Temp\1\tmp9249.tmp
    Post install is starting
Fatal Error: A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections.
(provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server)
Can any one help me to fix this issue

    Hi,
could you please check if this is correct:
    - is Named pipes/TCP enabled in SQL Server Configuration manager?
    - Is Remote Connection Allowed?
    - Is Windows Firewall on or off?
    - If it is On, did you create an exception for port 1433 in Windows Firewall?
    - Could WSUS contact SQL server?

Hello, I need a bit of help.  My computer just crashed with a blue screen of death suddenly while I was doing some audio editing (I do this frequently, never had an issue before).  I have no idea what to do with this memory dump I got, so I was
    hoping someone could help me.

    SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000007e)
This is a very common bugcheck. Usually the exception address pinpoints
the driver/function that caused the problem. Always note this address
as well as the link date of the driver/image that contains this address.
Some common problems are exception code 0x80000003. This means a hard
coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but this system was booted
/NODEBUG. This is not supposed to happen as developers should never have
hardcoded breakpoints in retail code, but ...
If this happens, make sure a debugger gets connected, and the
system is booted /DEBUG. This will let us see why this breakpoint is
    happening.

  • SQL Service error on SCCM 2012 R2 Evaluation VHD

    Hi
I've downloaded the VHD SCCM 2012 R2, but, SQL Server evaluation is out of date
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40840
I've one error "SLQ Server 2012 has expired...."
    How I do now ?
    Thanks at all
    Scorpio92

Or you could fix this Microsoft?
This issue is at least 2 years old going back to the previous product (SCCM 2012 SP1):
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/151f6aa0-5391-4396-998f-d5d5782ed08f/system-center-2012-service-pack-1-configuration-manager-evaluation-vhd
How was this not fixed when you created the 2012 R2 VHD?
This is literally unfathomable how you could do this even once - you create a VHD for evaluation with a date specific eval of SQL? But then you imbeciles manage to do it at least a second time?
None of you at the team behind this deserve your jobs.

  • Server 2012 VM Guest (AppassureCore) keeps getting BugChecks...not sure whereto start?

Bear with me here as there is a lot of technical data I need to present I believe so that I can help you all help me :)
I have a Server 2012 VM Guest running on Hyper-V on a Server 2012 host.
The VM is running my main Appassure core - I have a replicated core also but am having no issues with it at all.
The Host machine has 2 XEON E5540s, for a total of 8 cores. It has 48 GB of memory.
There is also another VM guest running on this host and that is a Server 2008 R2 that is my FSMO master and has no issues whatsoever.
Both guests are running Virtual Memory with starting memory of 512 and max of 49152.
Both VMs and the host each have their own GBe dedicated NIC.
The problem 2012 VM is setup with 4 virtual processors. The Server 2008 R2 (non-problem) VM is running on 8 Virtual processors.
Since the 2012 machine is running Appassure, I have an iSCSI connection to a NAS device. This is the same setup as the replicated Appassure core in every way except that the replicated core is a physical machine.
All integration services are installed and available.
For the most part, just before each bugcheck, I get a rapid succession of around 350 errors that happen within 2 minutes, then the crash...
I won't list them all, but here are the main ones:
EVENT 12293, VSS (I get 4 of these in a row.)
Volume Shadow Copy Service error: Error calling a routine on a Shadow Copy Provider {b5946137-7b9f-4925-af80-51abd60b20d5}. Routine details IVssSnapshotProvider::QueryVolumesSupportedForSnapshots(ProviderId,8388617,...) [hr = 0x8000ffff, Catastrophic failure
    Operation:
Query volumes supported by this provider
    Context:
       Provider ID: {b5946137-7b9f-4925-af80-51abd60b20d5}
       Snapshot Context: 8388617
    Event 20, iScsiPrt
Connection to the target was lost. The initiator will attempt to retry the connection.
Event 7, iScsiPrt (2 of these)
The initiator could not send an iSCSI PDU. Error status is given in the dump data
    Then another 12293, VSS error
    EVENT 481, ESE
    AppRecovery.ExchangeCheckHost (3840) DSM_JET_INSTANCE: An attempt to read from the file "C:\ProgramData\AppRecovery\MountPoints\064ab6b0-e8e9-4862-9756-e47f19ca248f\E__\Microsoft\Exchange Server\Mailbox\First Storage Group\Mailbox Database.edb" at
offset 7934615552 (0x00000001d8f0a000) for 8192 (0x00002000) bytes failed after 30 seconds with system error 121 (0x00000079): "The semaphore timeout period has expired. ".  The read operation will fail with error -1022 (0xfffffc02).  If
this error persists then the file may be damaged and may need to be restored from a previous backup.
    Event 419, ESE
    AppRecovery.ExchangeCheckHost (3840) DSM_JET_INSTANCE: Unable to read page 968580 of database C:\ProgramData\AppRecovery\MountPoints\064ab6b0-e8e9-4862-9756-e47f19ca248f\E__\Microsoft\Exchange Server\Mailbox\First Storage Group\Mailbox Database.edb. Error -1022.
    EVENT 454, ESE
    AppRecovery.ExchangeCheckHost (3840) DSM_JET_INSTANCE: Database recovery/restore failed with unexpected error -1022.
I then get about 6 more of the VSS errors 12293
Then comes the motherload - a flood of Ntfs errors. Here are some examples:
    EVENT 55, Ntfs
A corruption was discovered in the file system structure on volume C:\ProgramData\AppRecovery\MountPoints\064ab6b0-e8e9-4862-9756-e47f19ca248f\E__.
The Master File Table (MFT) contains a corrupted file record.  The file reference number is 0x800000000050e.  The name of the file is "<unable to determine file name>".
    EVENT 131, Ntfs
The file system structure on volume C:\ProgramData\AppRecovery\MountPoints\064ab6b0-e8e9-4862-9756-e47f19ca248f\E__ cannot be corrected.
Please run the chkdsk utility on the volume C:\ProgramData\AppRecovery\MountPoints\064ab6b0-e8e9-4862-9756-e47f19ca248f\E__.
I then get about 300 more of the EVENT 55, Ntfs errors that are all exactly the same except that they reference a different 'File Reference Number'
    Then the bugcheck happens.
Now, I ran WinDBG and it pretty much gave me an answer that didn't really help all that much:
    REFERENCE_BY_POINTER (18)
    Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000000, Object type of the object whose reference count is being lowered
Arg2: fffffa8305c6e040, Object whose reference count is being lowered
    Arg3: 0000000000000010, Reserved
    Arg4: fffffa8301d642a1, Reserved
The reference count of an object is illegal for the current state of the object.
Each time a driver uses a pointer to an object the driver calls a kernel routine
to increment the reference count of the object. When the driver is done with the
pointer the driver calls another kernel routine to decrement the reference count.
Drivers must match calls to the increment and decrement routines. This bugcheck
can occur because an object's reference count goes to zero while there are still
open handles to the object, in which case the fourth parameter indicates the number
of opened handles. It may also occur when the object’s reference count drops below zero
whether or not there are open handles to the object, and in that case the fourth parameter
contains the actual value of the pointer references count.

If you have made it this far, I thank you. I really have no idea where to go with this and am worried because obviously it involves my main backup so any help would be greatly appreciated.
It should be said that I am also creating a backup of this actual machine from within the machine itself, using AppAssure. Not sure why that matters much except that I am guessing the VSS errors are referring to the actual machine itself - not a protected external
    machine.
    Thanks again!
    Mike
