Buggy AutoFilter plug-in?

Hey guys- I'm trying to apply an AutoFilter plug-in to one of my software instruments in Logic (Filter -->AutoFilter) -- I'm using the "Constant Rise Four Bars" preset option, which I really love.
So here's where my issue is: I'm trying to have the rate at which the Auto-Filter renews itself at every 8 bars...but when I play it through it consistently renews at the 5th bar! Which is totally messing up the climax of my song.
I've even tried adjusting the rate to every 4 bars, but when I play it through it renews right away at the 2nd bar, THEN renews every 4 bars thereafter.
This is incredibly frustrating because the rate at which I need the AutoFilter to renew really makes a difference on how my song builds -- I can't have the filtered sound peak too early nor too late. I need it to peak right when I need it to!
Is anybody else having problems with this AutoFilter plug-in or other similar plug-ins within Logic? Is there a setting I need to adjust within Logic that might make the Filter perform more accurately? Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks!

To me, what you are describing sounds like an issue with the phase of the LFO.  The LFO is running 8 bars, but if your audio sits on bars 5-12 the LFO will start over when the project reaches bar 9 (ran for 8 bars).  In the context of the audio that's bar 5.  Make sense?  In the above scenario, adjusting the phase to 0 makes it match the audio. If I were to move everything earlier 1 bar (audio starts on 4) the phase would be 45.
Here's the catch (& possible bug?):  If you are starting the playhead anywhere within the cycle (as if you hadn't adjusted the phase), the LFO value is what it would be if phase was set to 180 until it 'catches' a reset - I think the reset can be either of the potential LFO phases (phase @ 180 or phase @ 45 in this case).  The upshot of this is if you are testing with a cycle, you don't know until the second pass where the phase of the LFO actually is, or you need to start playback a few (trial & error to see) bars back.
The retrigger & threshold might help dial things out, but I don't know about that.
worst case you can turn off the LFO cutoff mod and just automate the cutoff by hand.

  • Gyroscope games and touch screen get really buggy when plugged in

    So I play a lot of Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus online. Since this is a detailed 3D game, it uses loads of power. Like I can play for a good 45 minutes or so until my battery dies. Because of this, I need to keep my touch plugged in when I'm playing. The only problem is that when I plug it in and start playing the game, the gyroscope/touch controls go CRAZY. Like the whole screen shakes, it will randomly throw grenades, shoot, or just randomly have me spin in circles. Because of this, playing the game while plugged in is impossible. Does anyone know whats wrong? Is is a defective gyroscope or a bug or something? Also, I'm using a wall charger (non-apple brand) if that makes a difference. It wasn't doing this about a week ago and now its driving me crazy
    Any tips?
    Thanks!

    Sounds like something may not be grounded right using that charger. I would try an Apple-brand charger.

  • I downloaded iOS 8 and noticed it was a bit buggy. Earlier today, my phone completely shut down and wont do anything. At first it made charging noises and responded to plugging into my Mac, but now it wont animate at all. Any advice?

    Unresponsive/dead iPhone 5 after iOS 8 update.

    Plug your phone into the wall charger for at least 30 minutes...make sure you have a sim card in the phone...then:
    Leave the USB cable connected to your computer, but NOT your phone, iTunes running, press & hold the home button while connecting the USB cable to your dock connector, continue holding the home button until you see “Connect to iTunes” on the screen. You may now release the home button. iTunes should now display that it has detected your phone in recovery mode, if not quit and reopen iTunes. If you still don’t see the recovery message repeat these steps again. iTunes will give you the option to restore from a backup or set up as new.
    Make sure you have no anti-virus software running or any firewalls...turn all of that stuff off.

  • Plug-in Failure (Flash not working in Safari but working in Chrome)

    Hi There,
    I realise there have been threads on this subject but I seem to have tried everything besides re-installing ML at this stage.
    When loading any flash content on any website within Safari - I receive a 'Plug-in Failure' message where the content should appear.
    I feel the problem has been occurring since downloading the newest update
    I was hoping someone could point out if I had missed out on something
    Here are the steps I have taken to attempt to resolve this...
    1. Uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version of Flash. (This actually did work once for about a half an hour, i've tried it about half a dozen times)
    1a. Turning my computer off and on again
    1b. Attempted downgrading my Flash version but the flash installer kept failing.
    2. Logged into a guest account (Flash didn't work in safari)
    3. Booted up in Safe Mode (Flash worked but very slowly)
    4. Reset Safari (Flash didn't work)
    5. Disabled Extensions (Flash didn't work)
    6. Enabled Plug-ins & Java within Safari (Flash didn't work)
    7. Removed plug ins that I believed may be effecting it (Flip4Mac) (Flash didn't work)
    8. Deleted all data in the pref pane for Flash (Flash didn't work)
    9. Removed all website data within Safari (Flash didn't work)
    10. Tested Firefox and flash is also not working in firefox.
    The console is showing the following Pluginprocess crash:

    This procedure is a diagnostic test. It won’t solve your problem. Don’t be disappointed when you find that nothing has changed after you complete it.
    Third-party system modifications are a common cause of usability problems. By a “system modification,” I mean software that affects the operation of other software — potentially for the worse. The following procedure will help identify which such modifications you've installed. Don’t be alarmed by the complexity of these instructions — they’re easy to carry out and won’t change anything on your Mac.
    These steps are to be taken while booted in “normal” mode, not in safe mode. If you’re now running in safe mode, reboot as usual before continuing.
    Below are instructions to enter some UNIX shell commands. The commands are harmless, but they must be entered exactly as given in order to work. If you have doubts about the safety of the procedure suggested here, search this site for other discussions in which it’s been followed without any report of ill effects.
    Some of the commands will line-wrap or scroll in your browser, but each one is really just a single line, all of which must be selected. You can accomplish this easily by triple-clicking anywhere in the line. The whole line will highlight, and you can then copy it. The headings “Step 1” and so on are not part of the commands.
    Note: If you have more than one user account, Step 2 must be taken as an administrator. Ordinarily that would be the user created automatically when you booted the system for the first time. The other steps should be taken as the user who has the problem, if different. Most personal Macs have only one user, and in that case this paragraph doesn’t apply.
    Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
    ☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
    ☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
    ☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
    When you launch Terminal, a text window will open with a line already in it, ending either in a dollar sign (“$”) or a percent sign (“%”). If you get the percent sign, enter “sh” and press return. You should then get a new line ending in a dollar sign.
    Step 1
    Triple-click the line of text below on this page to select it:
    kextstat -kl | awk '!/com\.apple/{printf "%s %s\n", $6, $7}' | open -ef
    Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Then click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste (command-V). A TextEdit window will open with the output of the command. If the command produced no output, the window will be empty. Post the contents of the TextEdit window (not the Terminal window), if any — the text, please, not a screenshot. You can then close the TextEdit window. The title of the window doesn't matter, and you don't need to post that. No typing is involved in this step.
    Step 2
    Repeat with this line:
    { sudo launchctl list | sed 1d | awk '!/0x|com\.(apple|openssh|vix\.cron)|org\.(amav|apac|cups|isc|ntp|postf|x)/{print $3}'; echo; sudo defaults read com.apple.loginwindow LoginHook; echo; sudo crontab -l; } 2> /dev/null | open -ef
    This time you'll be prompted for your login password, which you do have to type. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. Type it carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. Heed that warning, but don't post it. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
    Note: If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before taking this step. If that’s not possible, skip to the next step.
    Step 3
    { launchctl list | sed 1d | awk '!/0x|com\.apple|org\.(x|openbsd)/{print $3}'; echo; crontab -l 2> /dev/null; } | open -ef
    Step 4
    ls -A /e*/{cr,la,mach}* {,/}Lib*/{Ad,Compon,Ex,Fram,In,Keyb,La,Mail/Bu,P*P,Priv,Qu,Scripti,Servi,Spo,Sta}* L*/Fonts .la* 2> /dev/null | open -ef
    Important: If you formerly synchronized with a MobileMe account, your me.com email address may appear in the output of the above command. If so, anonymize it before posting.
    Step 5
    osascript -e 'tell application "System Events" to get name of login items' | open -ef
    Remember, steps 1-5 are all copy-and-paste — no typing, except your password. Also remember to post the output.
    You can then quit Terminal.

  • How can I show album art in the mini player when playing songs from a plugged in iPhone?

    How can I show album art in the mini player when playing songs from a plugged in iPhone?
    When I play from my phone and switch to the mini player it's always showing the music notes in the thumbnaill. It'd be nice if it could get album art off of the phone.
    I'm on iTunes version 11.0.4.4

    He @mracole,
    it is very nice that you post a solution to complete the library with artwork for album's that do not have an artwork. Your solution perfectly addresses the problem for assigning artwork, BUT this thread is about CHANGING artwork for albums already uploaded into iTunes Match. Just try to replace for example a blue artwork cover for an album with a red one. If you made it in a simple way (without deleting the album from iTunes Match and local changes on the files with an external ID3-Application or 2 or more iTunes libraries on different Mac's) this is the right place to give a solution. I really tried for hours to change the artwork to make them visible in landscape cover flow mode on my iPhone5. In rare cases I made it, but then the covers sometimes where restored to the old onces - exacly how it is mentioned by Starhawk
    As long as there is no simple way to change the cover of an iTunes Match stored album (you can change title, artist and so on without hitting "update iTunes Match" over all distributed Library on different devices - this date will be synchronized almost instantly) I considered the behaviour from iTunes as BUGGY! For me the local artwork cache (and if there is any iCloud artwork cache - I don't know) do not interfere with iCloud. Even when I delete the whole local cache (album artwork music - everything) I do not manage to change the artwork.

  • Windows Explorer crashes when plugging or unplugging ipod touch

    Seems something is buggy with Itunes 7 or the Ipod Touch itself. This happens to me on 2 different computers, one Dell and one HP so I doubt seriously if it is the computers themselves. All of my drivers on both systems are up to date.
    When I plug in the IPOD it will work and sync, however when I unplug it I get a windows explorer crash each time. Needless to say this is irritating as heck.
    Anyone else having this problem?
    thanks
    Redy4it

    I have the same problem, even when i use the eject button. I hate vista but on my pc i have no choice but to run it. Never had any problems on my Macs. i also get a strange error on work pc running XP. It says at first that it doesn't recognize the device running in compatibility mode but then it switches over and works fine. I tend to blame it on Microsoft crap, maybe they are updating their OSes to mess with Apple products.

  • Bug in htmlConverter plug-in url produced for 1.4.0+

    Hi all,
    Could you please let me know if you get this url
    codebase="http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/autodl/jinstall-1_4-win.cab#Version=1,4,0,0"
    in
    java version "1.4.0"
    Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition (build 1.4.0-b92)
    Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 1.4.0-b92, mixed mode)
    Microsoft Windows 2000 [Version 5.00.2195]
    A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
    If you choose "Use any Java 1.4, or higher" at the bottom of
    htmlConverter GUI (after running htmlConverter), the codebase for IE autoinstall is produced
    as:
    codebase="http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/autodl/jinstall-1_4-win.cab#Version=1,4,0,0"
    This url is invalid.
    P.S.
    STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
    run htmlConverter on this file and check object tag's
    codebase:
    <html>
    <head>
    <title>
    Character Coder
    </title>
    </head>
    <body>
    Character Coder will appear below in a Java-1.4.0-enabled
    browser.<br>
    <applet
    codebase = "/GUI/some_folder"
    code = "some_class.class"
    archive = "Jar_v1.0.0.jar"
    name = "Some jar"
    width = "256"
    height = "55"
    hspace = "0"
    vspace = "0"
    align = "middle"
    >
    </applet>
    </body>
    </html>
    EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
    Actual:
    http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/autodl/jinstall-1_4-win.cab#Version=1,4,0,0
    Should be:
    http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/autodl/jinstall-1_4_0-win.cab#Version=1,4,0,0
    P.P.S. I filed a bug report, but the guy at bug "customer service" told me that he can't reproduce the bug. Well, i've repeated it under different options, and whenever i choose "Use any Java 1.4, or higher", i get the bogus url.
    I just don't wanna others lose 2 hours of their time to figure out what the problem is. Is this is a bug, lets help the bug control people fix it.
    Regards,

    Hi,
    I've read what you all have said about the buggy code that HTMLConverter creates. I used HTMLConverter to make my HTML code, and it looks just like what you've quoted, including the missing _0 in the codebase for downloading the Java Plug-In. But when I fix that manually in my HTML, it still doesn't prompt the user to download the new Plug-in! I know that my applet runs on a computer that has Java Plug-In 1.4.0 or higher installed, but if I uninstall the plug-in and then go to the link in IE again, all I get is the message "Done, but with errors." at the bottom of the IE window. If I move the mouse over the blank applet window, it says "load: class BathMine not found." But of course I know that it's there, since the applet runs fine if I then install the Plug-In and go to the same HTML page.
    I've had this happen on computers running Win2000, IE 6, Win2000, IE5.5, and WinXP, IE 6.
    Does anyone have any other ideas about what I might do to fix this other than just having a note on the page to people to download the proper plug-in?

  • QuickTime plug-in for Window Media Files?

    Microsoft recently announced that they will stop developing any update or improvement for Window Media Player for the Mac: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060113/apon_hi_te/microsoftapple
    It is a little disappointing aspect because sometimes I keep running into cool websites that have many WMFs but few or no QT support. Right now I'm unable to play any WMF because Window Media Player is very buggy.
    Is Apple going to push for some kind of WMF plug-in support for future QuickTime app since Microsoft is going to kill off development for WMP for the Mac?
    Please advice.

    Windows Media Player 9 for the Mac has not been updated since 2003 so Microsoft's announcement is disingenuous to say the least. They haven't supported or developed the thing in, literally, years.
    I cannot say enough good things about the Flip4Mac WMV player that allows you to view WMV files in Quicktime. There is also a browser plugin that lets WMV files play in Safari just like WMP9, only BETTER! And the player is now FREE. Strangely, Microsoft is even recommending it as a replacement for WMP9. It works perfectly on sites like CNN that use Windows Media Player for their video content and is compatible with more codecs than WMP9. Check out Microsoft's website for information and download.
    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/flip4mac.mspx
    I highly recommend you download and install the Flip4Mac WMV Player. You can say goodbye and good riddance to WMP9.

  • Flash remains completely buggy, despite trying all advice

    Hi everyone,
    So I've had problems with Flash on my MBP for some time now and I've been unable to resolve them.
    I've searched this forum, read the available info at Adobe, and have tried a number of things suggested in other posts and on the Adobe site, but no luck.
    Firstly, the problem:
    Certain flash content I access with my system seems to work OK. Except for the usual CPU-hogging and fans going to high speed, some Flash content works as expected.
    But more often than not, Flash content just doesn't work properly. For example, several youtube videos (not all, but most) don't work properly - the transport controls often don't display properly and just don't work. Trying to hit pause doesn't pause - it just starts the video from the beginning again right away, it's impossible to actually stop playback without just closing the window entirely. Not all youtube videos have this problem but most do. TED talks are an example of a youtube site where it always does this.
    Other flash-based players like in MySpace also don't work properly. Pretty much 100% of the time I don't see any text in the music players (so no track names, no visual information), and the transport controls either work just for basic play and stop, or not at all. Yet some flash-based players do seem to work fine, such as the BBC radio 4 player.
    Also, I have had flash completely crash my browser several times a day recently, when clicking on a related video in youtube. This flakey behaviour happens in Safari (latest version), Firefox (also latest) and Chrome (yes, latest version too).
    My system is completely up to date with the most recent OSX version, and all of the security updates, Pro Kit and Pro App Support. I regularly repair permissions, and I regularly run system maintenance routines and cron scripts via a 3rd party support app.
    My latest attempt to fix the problem:
    I downloaded the flash player uninstaller from Adobe, made sure that all apps were closed and ran the uninstaller. I then repaired permissions and restarted. After restarting, I installed the latest Flash for OSX, then repaired permissions straight after. When I did this, I saw that disk utility made a list as long as my arm of permissions that it repaired, almost all of them related to Flash.. so I figured this might be a good sign. I ran repair permissions a 2nd time just to see if it had missed anything, but on the 2nd time round, there was nothing more to be repaired. Still, as an extra precaution, I restarted again before attempting to launch a browser. Upon restart, I opened Safari and went straight to youtube. Sure enough, no change whatsoever. The very same problem still exists in exactly the same way as before.
    I've had this trouble for a long time now, and I'm getting tired of trying to fix it. I like watching youtube content but I hardly do so anymore, because being unable to pause and resume viewing makes it a more annoying experience than its worth most of the time, not to mention the browser crashes. My Snow Leopard install was painstakingly undertaken from scratch - I used to have Tiger on this machine, but installed a brand new 500GB internal drive to do a completely fresh install of OSX when I made the move to Snow Leopard late last year.
    I'm no novice to managing Macs - as I said before, I do all of the maintenance routines regularly.. but this problem just won't go away. I'm starting to suspect that there's so much bad blood on the whole Flash issue with Apple and Adobe that it wouldn't surprise me if they're intentionally making the whole thing flakey just to make users like me hate Flash more and more.. so that we'll be happy to see it condemned to history and won't miss it on things like the iPad.
    I've never been a fan of Flash, and like everyone I think it's ridiculous how much it winds up the fans and hogs the CPU on my MBP just to play a silly little video. So sure, I'll be happy when no one uses it anymore. But for now, I actually would like to have it working because like it or not, it's the reality for youtube and a number of other sites.. I don't see why it should be so consistently buggy on my system when I have the very latest updates of everything and I religiously manage my computer to keep it in great shape. I work professionally using Logic Pro on this very same computer, and in every way apart from Flash, the machine is in tip-top condition.
    If anyone can tell me what the h*ll I can do to fix this, I'm all ears. In the meantime, I'll probably reserve a genius bar appointment to look into this.. but I've been to the genius bar before only to find that the 'genius' was less skilled at Mac maintenance than I am. So I won't be surprised if I'm sent home with the usual knee-jerk reaction advice - 'zap your P-RAM and reinstall OSX'. If that's the best they can do, then I'm just going to live with the problem because as I said earlier, my system is performing brilliantly in every other way. There is no way I'm going to put myself through all the reinstall process for all of my professional apps, reauthorizing dozens of plug ins etc etc, just to fix this problem. For the professional work I do, this computer is finely-tuned and running like a dream. In fact, I find it hard to believe that there might be something fundamentally wrong with my system that a reinstall would fix - purely because if there was something wrong deep down in the system, then the suite of professional apps that I use for work would surely be showing problems much more than a meagre little application/plug in like Flash.
    Anyway, if anyone can think of anything that I may have missed, I'd love to hear about it.
    Cheers.

    Hi, thanks for the input everyone.
    Rather than trying to take quotations from multiple posts, I'll attempt to answer all of the pertinent questions you all brought up without going from quote to quote.
    In terms of which browser - as I said in my original post, I have 3 - Safari, Firefox and Chrome. Same problem is experienced in each. I just tested them again (literally right now) after having done the very thorough uninstall/reinstall of Flash, and it's still as dodgy as ever. I have to admit I've only ever seen a browser crash (caused by Flash) in Safari, but that's probably only because Safari is the browser I use most and am never in the other browsers long enough to let Flash decide to explode.
    As for launching Safari in 32 bit mode.. you got me excited there for a moment cos I thought that indeed maybe I was in 64 bit mode and my problem could be over.. but alas, I checked and there it was, that 32 bit box was already ticked. Sigh.
    I've tried to backtrack this problem to see if I can rule out whether it was a new thing since Snow Leopard or not. Then I decided to actually test this, because I still have a bootable clone of my Tiger system exactly as it was the day I moved to Snow Leopard. Booting from that system, I was reminded that yes.. I had problems with Flash under Tiger as well. Similarly, it was somewhat arbitrary with some sites working fine, others not so fine. Some youtube videos would have strange transport control issues, others none at all. But upon checking, the problem was not exactly the same.. In my current system, it seems like a great deal more youtube videos don't work properly, and the way in which it plays up is worse now than it was before. Example: in Tiger, I would regularly have youtube videos where I could never click somewhere in the timeline and have the video play from that point. If I tried to do that, it would just jump back to the beginning and start playing all over. In Snow Leopard (notably with TED Talks videos, but with many others too), not only is this also the case, but I never can use the play/pause button because it just jumps back to the beginning every time. Also, mousing over the transport area, I get a weird white/grey box in the space where those transparent ads should be. And then, in both Tiger and Snow Leopard, I occasionally get a situation where the transport bar will just go crazy, moving really fast as if the video is like 3 seconds long and then jumping back to the start and jumping all over the place. But the video itself plays normally, except of course that you can't pause it, jump to a different place in time or whatever. And to top it off, it's usually a sign that Flash is going to do its best to bring down my whole browser some time soon.
    Anyway thanks again for the pointers. I've also emptied the cache a few times in my browsers, no luck either. Frankly I'm pretty much over wasting time getting this to work - given that my system is in pristine condition, regularly maintained and totally up-to-date, I'd find it very strange if no one else was experiencing some youtube videos behaving in this way too. It seems like there must be a fundamental bug or series of bugs in there somewhere that no matter what I do, I'm not going to be able to get around until the people responsible actually fix them.
    Thanks for the heads up on the HTML 5 youtube site! I've just signed up for that and checked some of my regular youtube content that I watch.. It WORKS PERFECTLY! Brilliant. I think I'm going to consider this problem solved now, because I'm so turned off by Flash that I'm now quite happy to see it die a well-deserved death, the faster the better. Like I hinted at earlier, I wouldn't be at all surprised if this was all some top-secret machiavellian plan from Apple HQ.. I doubt they'd go as far as to intentionally kneecap Flash so that it doesn't work and drives users to hate it so much that they start pushing everyone to move to alternatives. But I bet it's just as easy to not bother putting in the effort to bug-fix, because in the end you get the same result. In my profession, Digidesign do exactly the same thing with their hardware - it works flawlessly like golden molten butter when you use it with their own software. But the minute you use it with something else, it's so dicey that end users could easily be convinced that it's the other software that's badly written... It seems to be a valid (if sneaky) strategy used by the technology industry these days to nudge users in the direction they want them to go...
    Anyway thanks a lot for that advice. It was mainly only youtube that was driving me nuts, so now that I can use it without Flash, I might even totally remove it from my system. Too bad for MySpace, but whatever..
    Cheers!

  • Apple TV Latest upgrade is buggy help!

    I have the latest Apple TV (the little black box) and it has been working so well that I forget that it is there and just rent movies and watch them and never have any problems, well that was until the latest upgrade! Now it is so buggy! Most of the time I have to restart it before I watch anything or it just stalls. Even then a movie or TV show never plays without it stopping for sometime before it can play. Most of the time I just get an error and have to restart my modem, and wireless network. Something I never had t do before. I have no unplugged the box and put it away it is just way to annoying and time consuming. I watch Netfix now on my PS3 on the same network without any problems.
    Here is my setup.
    Apple’s Wireless network
    Very fast Cable internet connection. 100 mips
    LG Flatscreen 42 inch TV

    Same thing happend to me. I finally went to Best Buy and purchased another $20 cable (I have a box full of apple cables because they like to change them often). It's a USB to micro. I unpluged the apple tv and pluged in the cable. Then I plugged the power back in. I opened iTunes and ran the update. After 15 minutes, it gave an error. Then I unpluged the power from the Apple TV and ran the update again. Now it's ready for the login. But Wait. Now it's not accepting my password for the wireless network. I've wasted hours and still no success.

  • Removing plug-ins?

    I recently purchased a new plug-in for Motion (Conduit 2 from dvgarage) and found it to be pretty buggy right now. I'd like to remove it and re-install the original Conduit version 1. I still have the installer for version 1.
    Is it simply a matter of removing Conduit from the plug-ins folder then running the installer for version 1 and checking for updates?

    That is certainly the case for the FxPlug interface. It is conceivable, however, that Conduit has other files about that could affect you, but I don't know if they do.
    So - don't like Conduit 2, eh? I bought Conduit 1 and found it to be useful and intriguing, but stopped using it because I wanted my projects to be playable in basic Motion. I was considering purchasing the new 2.0, but sounds like you don't recommend it...

  • Computer freezes whenever I plug ipod in...

    Evrytime I plug in my ipod nano to sync it my computer compleatly stops and has to be restarted in order to do anything. I cannot even hit the sync button because it freezes before I can do anything. Please help, i am very frustrated and have a brand new ipod i cannot use! Thanks.

    I would see to reasons:
    - either a firewall on your computer freezes it for protection purposes every time a device is connected to it. Normally it should unfreeze after that, but it might be buggy in your case.
    - or your iPod is corrupt in a way that causes your computer to freeze. There are some "corrupted iPod repair tools", for example CopyTrans Doctor http://www.copytrans.net/doctor.php

  • Download FB plug-in for Lightroom 5

    My plug-in for FB was buggy and never worked. Deleted it and emptied the trash. Where can I download a fresh copy of the plug-in? Can't find it on the Adobe plug-in site.

    Dunno where to download Adobe's, you may need to re-install the Lr app to get it (dunno).
    That said, perhaps now would be a good time to consider upgrading your facebook interface:

  • How do I install a plug-in that came on a .jar file?

    Hi,
    I got this plug-in for Azureus (torrent program) and when I downloaded it, it came as a .jar file and there were no accompanying instructions (nor on the webpage). I don't know what to do with it. I tried clicking on it, but that just brigns up a notice that it "can't be launched, check for possible errors.
    Please advise me on what to do.
    Thanx a lot!

    I went over to Azureus website & found this:
    Installation Guide - Mac OSX Users
    1) Download the latest OSX package
    2) Follow the instructions when opening the .dmg file.
    Are you sure you downloaded the correct file for your OS system? I also noted this software is a "beta" product. So it may be a little buggy.

  • 2.0 v buggy

    so i downloaded 2.0 during the fiasco yesterday and i too had the nightmare of a unuseable iphone for a few hrs while itunes was down, but since it started working again and downloaded a few apps the iphone has turned off and restarted twice, and not only that i notice it takes much longer to turn on, texting seems to be abit off... what is ironic is in the 2.0 it said it had bug fixes well we now need a new update to fix the bugs in this update only 1.1.4 gave me no trouble...why is this happening AGAIN yet more bugs on an update

    I think 2.0 is fairly buggy too, my friend. I've had the same problem with the phone doing a random hard reset right when you open an application. It's happened to me twice so far, and both times I was opening the Remote application. Not only is the hard reset annoying, but it takes FOREVER for iPhone to boot up now. As far as taking forever in iTunes, the only thing I've noticed is that every time I plug in to sync, it takes a monumental amount of time to "back up iPhone." I don't ever remember my iPhone backing up every time I plugged it in on 1.1.4--maybe it did and just didn't take as long, but this is also quite annoying.
    I found an article on engadget that talked about some of these things happening on the phones that were upgraded with the firmware pulled from Apple's servers, when it hadn't been officially released yet (http://www.engadget.com/2008/07/10/are-you-having-problems-with-iphone-2-0/). My only problem is that I waited till yesterday to update. I was one of the ones who bricked their iPhone for most of the day when the activation servers went down. *edit: I did update through iTunes.
    Anyway, I hope some of these things get fixed soon because, so far, I'm not loving this update.
    Cheers Gabe, you're not alone man,
    Alex
