Buggy Lumia 930

Since a few weeks I am using a Lumia 930 it's a nice piece of equipment but I am facing some difficulties.
Every now and then the phone reboots. This happened a few times in a week. In the the screen in the lower left corner I can see the message "Not for resale" in red. When this has happened I also have to set the date and time again. It always goes back to May 22nd of this year. Also the device got very hot a few times which caused the backside of the phone to pop out at one spot and I can not push it back.
What can be done by Nokia about this? In my opinion this phone has te be swapped.

If so, we'd appreciate you sharing how you fixed it for the benefit of other users. If no, can we isolate your concerns first?
1, 2, & 4. Did you install any app that possibly caused the 'resuming mode'? How about changing your phone's settings?
3. Does it also happen whenever you receive an incoming call, email, or MMS?
5. Are you getting the same result when using a compatible wired headset? Can you try recording a voice note by going to Messaging> New (+)> Attach? If you can hear the recording, your microphone is working.
6. When do you usually hear the rattling sound? Is it affecting the performance of the phone?
7. Does it only happen when doing a specific task on the phone? If so, what task is it?
8. To verify, the issue only happens when you play music after disabling Bluetooth, is that correct?

Lumia 930 location links can not be open by Here M...

Most of Lumia models sending and receiving location or favorite location from Here maps by SMS or email opens links by Here Maps app. Lumia 930 open those links on internet explorer and it is impossible to manage from there. Is there setting telling Here Maps App to open them link as most of other models of Lumia?

I've searched the web and there realy seams to be an issue with Lumia camera 5 and Denim, as it is mentioned also on other sites. I think we need to be patient and wait until problem is fixed.
Maybe any moderator is reading this and could contact developer to clearify...

Can't connect to Eduroam on my WP 8 Nokia Lumia 930

So, I just got the new Lumia 930, which I am very happy with, however I can not seem to get it to connect to Eduroam at the university I work at. When I go to the page where I am suppose to 'join' or 'download' whatever I need, 'securew2', (using the phone)
it detects that I am using a Windown Phone, but it only just gives me settings to 'configure my device'. Such as:
SecurityType:WPA2-Enterprise
Encryption: AES
EAP Type: TTLS
Inner EAP Type: PAP
CA Certificate: UTN-USERFirst-Hardware, AddTrust etc..
When I then go into WiFi and click on Eduroam, I try to log in with my user-credentials. I can also look through a list of certificates but none of them seem to be the right one. The only choice I really get is the EAP-method, where I change it from PEAP
MA-CHAP v2 (which did not work) to TTLS. Then I am asked to verify that it is the right network, which it is - with the name of the university and everything - I click OK....and then there is a full stop. I only get a 'can't connect' message. Very frustrating.
I talked to the IT people at here, and they verified my user credentials, and told me that people with Windows Phones had trouble connecting to Eduroam.
As should be abundantly clear by now I am technologically challenged, so please help help help me fix this. If for no other reason then to silence my snickering, iPhone-loving colleagues.

I just bought a Nokia Lumia 735 and I have the same problem. Unable to connect the Eduroam network in my laboratory. It seem that I have to put an other certificate which is not on my device (from TERENA), and I did not find how to do it.
It is a bit disappointing to be blocked on such a new device. My previous phone, an old Iphone 3gs, was able to connect very easily...
Please help, or I will regret my choice to switch on Windows Phone (if I add the poor choice regarding the apps on the Store...).

Phone Controls Not Working Properly In my Lumia 930

I'm Using a Nokia Lumia 930 phone, just purchased a month ago. for the first time i on my phone, there were few o/s updates appeared and i made a update. when I plug my headphone to the phone, controls are not functioning properly. the button in the headphone
not working and sometimes it works but i tried with other Lumia device with my headphone, it's working perfectly. Please give me a solution.

Strange clicking sound on my Lumia 930 arround the...

When my camera is not activated, if I mildly shake my Lumia 930 I can hear a strange clicking sound on the upper part of the device, just arround the camera lense. Can it be the lenses just shaking, because when the camera is activated that sound disappears.

Hi, Tomislav5. Welcome to Microsoft Mobile Community. How long have you been noticing this issue? Did you change any settings on the device that may cause this to happen? Make sure that the system apps on the device are all updated. You may check it by going to Store > ... > settings > check for updates. You may also try rebooting your phone by pressing and holding the volume down and the power keys at the same for 10-15 seconds and see if it makes any difference. you may need to set the date and the time after this operation. We'll wait for your response.

Denim update lumia 930

I have a lumia 930 ( mobile operator 000-ZA, RM-1045_1065 ) and its not even on the list on th official update availability page. will i get the denim update & if so, when?

Just found this in Microsoft Knowledge Base as a common error for Microsoft Store on phone:
"Problem
This error occurs when there is a temporary service disruption.
Solution
Wait a little while and then try Again"
I've been waiting and retrying for two weeks. At least now I know it is a problem in Store and not my phone.

Lumia 930 won't detect LTE

Hello
I'm on Rogers network in Canada. It says they use the 2600 mhz range or band 7. Do all Lumia 930 support this range. Currently my phone only shows the 4g symbol, not LTE.
Any suggestions?

Hello,
I checked - it is 4g/LTE enabled. Called the carrier to make sure the SIM is correctly enabled - and it is.
Tried flipping between automatic and specifying a network - no difference.
I am getting speeds of about highs about about 18 Mbps Up and Down, when I see the 4G signal.
On wifi - lower (which makes sense as it is lower).
I am not sure if it ever should say LTE on the screen.

1. Does someone know what is different on Lumia 930 between Hardware Revision 2.0.0.1 and 2.0.0.2 ?
2. I had a 2.0.0.2 and had a very bad screen, the gray background was displayed with green shades or somehow also having right on the middle of the screen a 1px horizontal lighter line. I switched this for a 2.0.0.1 which is much better, the only thing is that when I have a gray background and going from a light room to a dark room, the background is somhow flashing for a second from a light gray to a light green tint then going to a darker gray. I also changed this with another 2.0.0.2 and I can say that the difference is pretty major.
First of all the screen has more brigthness when both set on high or auto. The red color for example is more lifelike and punchier than on the screen from 2.0.0.1
Regarding the gray, it's more uniform and more gray as it should be. The 2.0.0.1 had a red tint.
So, is there a display change or something ? As far as I know this displays are made by Samsung and as I know Samsung with their monitors to improve the display but without to say anything like Dell, is pretty much possible.
Is anyone who can share same experience with differences between different phones and/or revisions ? To find out which is the difference between different hardware revisions and also if there are more display versions or revisions.

Rotated photos problem on Lumia 930, 1520 with Denim update

There is an issue with photos taken on Lumia 930, 1520 with Denim update: camera uses EXIF rotation property instead of properly rotating the picture. As a result, apps which don't properly support EXIF.Rotation show photos rotated.
To reproduce, take the photo in vertical orientation on Lumia 930 with Denim update. Open Instagram official app (as an example), try adding new photo ->> you'll see that the photo is 90 degrees rotated.
Now question: is it a feature or is it a bug?
And if it is a feature, where is it documented?

Well, I am a developer writing my own app. And what I see is a sudden change in phone camera behavior, which affects and annoys lots and lots of users of my app (VK for WP), Telegram messenger app, and Instagram app, which I used as an example, because
it is well known.
It does seem like a feature to me now, so would't it make sense to have some native support for it? For example, make BitmapImage pay attention to EXIF and correctly rotate?
And again: is this change documented anywhere?
And please, bring my question where it was originally posted.

Lumia 930 app like glance screen

I need some app which will work something like glance screen - peak option. I have Nokia cp-637 case, and wish some applications which will turn on screen when I open cp-637 case.
Something like on Samsung.

Black rectangles in Gallery on Lumia 930

Can't see some pictures on Lumia 930, but the files appear to be there. Also they upload to a MacBook Pro, but appear as black rectangles. What is going on?

I've only ever seen this happen due to corrupted or removed memory cards, which obviously isn't the case with a Lumia 930. I believe it happens where a picture has been removed but the phone's gallery database still thinks it is there, so it displays a "blank" image.
There is no photo there any more, perhaps you deleted it, but for some odd reason the phone still thinks that a file is there. What you are seeing is a ghost of a picture that is no longer there, so all you an do is delete these "blank" images.

Wireless charging issues Lumia 930 and DT-601

Hi all,
So got my Lumia 930 just over a week a go and everything is pretty much fine (other than the differences that need getting used to after two years of using a Iphone), however the one issue i'm having is with the wireless charging plate that comes with the phone.
It seems to be very tempermental with regards actually charging my phone, sometimes I can get it to charge and it is fine and then other times (like today) it will not charge no matter what I do, plug into wall, plug into laptop...no LED light on and no indication on the phone that it is charging.
At first I thought it was a hardware issue with the charger so went back to my phone suplier and they sent me the money for a new one. Initially this worked fine and I managed to get the original working (after a bit of patience as I didn't realise there was a slight delay between placing and charging). However as previously mentioned the last couple of days it's not charging at all (though did manage to get it to work last night but when woke up this morning it was sat there not charging.
Anyone else had these problems and is it more likely to be a phone hardware issue rather than the charger?

sounding to me like it could be the phone itself unfortunately. have u checked you are up to date with the latest firmware for your device along with the latest Nokia system app updates from the Store? also try performing a soft reset.

Lumia 930 - is this normal?

Hello. Is this normal for the Lumia 930? Every time the light is coming sideways I get these pink/purple flares. That is my third Lumia flagship after the 920 and the 925, and I have never seen these on my previous phones.

I went back to the store for a replacement a couple of days after I purchased it, but they sent it for repair, instead of replacing it. I got the phone back yesterday. All they did was a hard reset, which is frustrating. I could have done it in 10 minutes...not 2 weeks.
I'll give it another try for a replacement, but i really doubt they'll give me another phone or a refund. They will send it for "repair" again, I'm afraid.
