Hi there!
In the last days I had my first recording session with Logic 8.
string recording with 6 tracks (1 Stereo, 4 Mono)
What a nightmare. At least combined with digidesign hardware (wich is still the most professional for recording) the program is so buggy!
Here my list.
Maybe somebody knows a way how to handle one of this bugs.
• Ghost files; Logic plays files where they never were placed..............like in Logic 7
• Sometimes Sync offset between Midi and Audio
• Error message: error while trying to syncronice Audio and Midi........... like in Logic 7
• Audio Instr. quits playing when changing volume level while recording on other audio tracks
• Audio on Direct TDM track does not always play from the begining.
• Solo in the Enviroment only works when an output objekt is created for the output the track is
routed to. On direct TDM tracks solo works fine.
• Graphikbugs: Metering looks funny, some solo buttons are checked with a red line
• comp tracks do not work on stereo split tracks
What needs to be changed:
• Please create the possibility to enable comp tracks and bring back the orange "X" on the transport
• Changing the selections of a comp track is not affected by groupsettings. Please change this.
Imagine recording an orchester with lets say 20 tracks and you want to change takes of an comp
track. Now you have to change the selection on every single track.
Thats it for the first time. Maybe somebody can give me a tip to solve one of these problems.
A few of them are simply bugs I guess.

    BUG: No picture thumbnails currently displayed for "Top albums" section in Appworld.
    To reproduce:
    1. With your browser (I used Firefox 18.0.1 on Windows XP) go to http://appworld.blackberry.com/webstore/?
    Observe: "Top albums" section does not have thumbnails shown, neither on mouseOver or mouseOut
    Bug is reproducible, too obvious and stays the whole morning already. Please fix asap - not good for the BlackBerry brand.
    Just re-tested on IE7 - picture are just not loaded.
    I just clicked one album - after opening the page for the album there is no picture too. There is a place on the left just below the title where picture should be loaded, so either the path is wrong or the picture file is not there.

    PS: I am frustrated: So I am a regular customer, software developer by profession. Tried to submit this to the official website bug email ([email protected]) with a screenshot and got my mail rejected. Why do you publish support emails when you reject the messages? Complete non-sense. Didn't expected it. If the attachment was the problem - just setup a simple page on the website for submiting website feedback with a text field for subject, text area for the actual text and a field for picture upload for screenshot. Simple - would take about 10-20 minutes to be created. Or in the automated response at least write "we don't accept email attachments". Anyway. Then called the corporate phone in Waterloo and spoke to some lady who had no idea what I am talking about and asked me some non-sense things about numbers I don't have. Guess she thought I am a corporate customer. When I laid it out clear saying "I am submiting you a website error report" she gave me some other email ([email protected]) to re-send my email, instead of contacting your support herself. I sent them the same email. Just in case decided to submit it here too. Guys why don't you have a website dedicated subforum for such things? The last thing I want to do is to send bugreports where I am not supposed to. Not mentioning that website users are not supposed to see such obvious things. Your QA guys should pay a bit more attention before something is released in a production environment.
    Anyway. Hope you fix it soon.

  • Bugreport: LR 2.5 fails to burn files to DVD

    Affects: LR 2.5 on Win XP SP3
    Steps to reproduce:
    1. Select a set of shots that would require 3 DVDs
    2. Export to CD/DVD as original files
    3. Insert blank DVDs when prompted
    Expected result: 3 disks with the selected files on them
    Actual result: Disk 1 and 3 contain the right files. Disk 2 is blank (nothing written, disk still untouched).
    Other observations:
    - When starting to write disk 2, LR "finish" in a couple of seconds and asks for disk 3 just like disk 2 had been written successfully.
    - This is not caused by faulty blank disks. LR accept the same blank disk as #1 or #3 after "writing" to it as disk #2.
    - CD/DVD recording work fine from other applications
    - The behaviour described above is reproducable with 100% reliability

    If you're dealing with things with the same granularity as an existing catalog, like your moving the entire catalog and photos to a new place, then just use file COPY operations, at least if you're aware of what and where a catalog database file exists and where the set of photo folders are.
    I use Export to make a catalog that is a PORTION of an existing catalog not a copy of an entire catalog.
    I use Import to ADD photo-settings, en-masse, to an existing catalog, not to view an existing catalog in its entirety.
    I use a combination of both operations to make backups of my current work to a couple external HDs on a periodic basis.  I Export things by month to an external HD, and then import that month's catalog to the external HD's catalog so I have all the photos on that particular backup drive in a single catalog to facilitate searches.
    This lets me have my most recent photos in a single catalog on my fast internal HD.  And I have all the photos on my external backup drive in a single catalog.  And if I really wanted to, I could have all my external HD catalogs (I have several TBs of photos) imported into a monster catalog that is not connected to any photos, to do keyword searches across the entire set, and then go to the individual 1TB drive the photos exists on, based on the date.

  • Bugreport: Apex 4.2.1 Button 'Return to application' doesn't return to app

    I think there is a bug, when searching for a page number that doesn't exist in the application (e.g. typing error).
    When you edit a page and enter a page number where the page doesn't exist (that means in Field "go_to_page"), the error "Error processing condition. ORA-01403: no data found" appears correctly, but with button 'Return to application' you don't come back to the application.
    The same behavior is when you enter a non-existing page number in "Search Application" (P0_SEARCH) on the overview page of an application

    Hi all
    I am using apex 4.2 linux oc4j 11gr2
    I've given end user instruction how to reset their passwords.But for some reason they get this error
    APEX_040200.ORACLE_APEX_MAIL_QUEUE
    When I go into instance setting to see the error ,there is no error, when i press force send all , it sends all the mail stuck in queue.
    Has anyone encounter this issue.
    Is this a bug in 4.2.1???

    Unfortunately we are not using Apache server.
    you said " we are using oc4j ! its coming in application server(AS) commonly called apache.  you are using may be Weblogic server?
    I'd like to know how these images have anything to do with email?
    yes we can send the image over the email body/content anything.
    where these images in apex?

    I think I've discovered a bug in JDeveloper:
    I realized that a ViewObject is loosing its current row under the following circumstances:
    - a user parameter is passivated in method "prepareForPassivation" AND
    - the ViewObject is passivated, removed, recreated and reactivated (pooling)
    See the following example:

    If anyone from oracle can have a look at this I'd be happy. Unfortunately I do not know how to workaround this problem, so any hints are appreciated.

    And here comes a workaround:
    First: All user data will be passivated below a common node ("SamUserData") in "prepareForActivation". See code sample above.
    Second: "prepareForActivation" will be overridden to look like this:  protected void prepareForActivation(Element parent)

      }I'm quite sure that this is a serious bug in the BC4J passivation and activation logic!

  • Bugreport: intelligent playlists don't work, if mediatype is used

    I found the following bug with intelligent playlists and ipod classic:
    If I use "Medienart" (i guess media type in English) as a criteria for an intelligent playlist, it is no longer intelligent on my ipod classics (80GB and 160GB).

    If you have a playlist with Wiedergaben(=play count ?)=3 and you play one song from that playlist, this song will disapear from that playlist after you play it. (This also works with pretty complex criteria.)
    But once you add media type<>audiobook to that playlist, the list becomes static. (i.e. the song will not disapear from the playlist after you played that song.)

  • Bugreport: Translate in multibyte Language doesn't check max length

    Hi,
    I'm on APEX 3.1. and have a problem with translating an application from german to russian. Seeding the application, downloading the XLIFF File and importing the translated File work all right, but when i try to publish the russian application i get an error regarding the length of a region name (for example).
    ORA-20001: Sync error: WWV_FLOW_PAGE_PLUGS.PLUG_NAME ORA-12899: value too large for column "FLOWS_030100"."WWV_FLOW_PAGE_PLUGS"."PLUG_NAME" (actual: 275, maximum: 255)This happens because the apex tables use BYTE length semantics for VARCHAR2 fields.
    Is there any recommended way to handle this?
    How do i know which text is too long?

  • Bugreport: creating a mobile Listview region results in error

    Hi,
    i'm on apex.oracle.com creating a mobile application. When creating a new region of type report -> Listview it results in an error if the query is too big (or returns too many columns).
    The error is: Error during rendering of region "Add Javascript code for Plugins". ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small
    The query i used: SELECT * FROM APEX_APPLICATION_PAGE_ITEMS

  • Bugreport: Seed updates all languages, not only the selected one

    I just encountered a "Bug" when seeding a multilingual translation.
    It looks as if SEED would insert only values for the chosen language mapping (good!), but in case of an update overwrite the values in all languages, not only the chosen one.
    I know it is not that bad, but causes some irregular statistics after seeding.
    e.g. my applications main language is "eo", language mappings for "en", "de", "es".
    When i change a single text (e.g. button label) in the main app and do a seed for "en" i get "3 existing attributes updated and may require translation" (because there are 3 languages...). when i do a seed for "de" right afterwards i get "0 existing attributes updated and may require translation".

    Apparently you have more choice than you are aware of. Thunderbird has three ways to sear messages.
    I am guessing from what you say that you want to '''find''' (Ctrl + Shift + F) instead of '''global search''' (Ctrl+K) or '''quick filter''' (Ctrl + Shift + K)
    Note that global search offers options

  • Bugreport: Colunm Heading Alignment in Reports (Center)

    Hi,
    The colunm heading template is defined as:
    <th #ALIGNMENT# id="#COLUMN_HEADER_NAME#" #COLUMN_WIDTH#>#COLUMN_HEADER#</th>
    But, when the alignment of any colunm is setted with Center value in the report definitions, it's displays like this in the browser:
    <th align="left" id="COL08">...</th>
    The others options of alignment provided are working just fine.

    it appears we have a bug in the way use those column heading alignment attributes. thanks for pointing it out - i'll log it shortly. i haven't tested this work around, but i'd imagine you could get around the issue quite easily for now using a report template in which you define your own column heading alignments.

    When using Berkeley DB 6.1.19. with Java API (JNI) there is a bug that prevents users from calling "Environment.lockVector()":
    Setting a lock timeout for the LockRequest and defining "LockRequestMode.GET_TIMEOUT" is not correctly mapped in the JNI implementation. Instead of setting "timeout", "op" is getting set. I found the error and fixed it for my local Installation:
    source file: lang/java/libdb_java/db_java_wrap.c line 1868 (Java_com_sleepycat_db_internal_db_1javaJNI_DbEnv_1lock_1vec):
    wrong:
    case DB_LOCK_GET_TIMEOUT:

    I think I've found a bug in JDeveloper 9.0.5.2:
    Please assume the following situation:
    Devices              - an Entity (Master)
    Components           - another Entity (Detail), one of the Attributes is "isActual"
    CompDevFkAssoc       - an Association between them
    DevicesView          - Master View
    ComponentsView       - Details View
    DevicesVL_actualOnly - a ViewLink based on "CompDevFkAssoc"Now perform the following steps:
    - open "DevicesVL_actualOnly" in the ViewLink wizard
    - select "View Link SQL"
    - modify the Query to look like this: ":1 = Components.DEV_ID AND Components.IS_ACTUAL = '1'"
    - close Wizard by pressing "OK"
    - open "DevicesVL_actualOnly" in the ViewLink wizard again
    - select "View Link SQL"
    => you see the modified query
    - select "View Objects"
    - select "View Link SQL"
    => the Query has been changed, the custom modification has been removed!
    This is a very dangerous bug, since the Query has been modified without any warning! This bug does not appear if you do not use association based ViewLinks. But note, that many-to-many ViewLinks cannot be generated without associations, so you cannot workaround this bug for many-to-many ViewsLinks!
    Can anyone from oracle have a look at this?

  • Bugreport: Long Plugin-Name raises exception when used in item

    Hi,
    i created an item-type plugin with a rather long name which saves and "compiles" successfully.
    Name: Resizeable Textarea (remember Size)
    Internal Name: PLUGIN_INFO.ORACLEAPEX.RESIZABLETEXTAREAREMEMBERSIZE
    But when i try to use this plugin for an item, following exception is raised:
    ORA-20505: Error in DML: p_rowid=6139204663671389, p_alt_rowid=ID, p_rowid2=, p_alt_rowid2=. ORA-12899: value too large for column "APEX_040000"."WWV_FLOW_STEP_ITEMS"."DISPLAY_AS" (actual: 52, maximum: 50)The Problem is caused by the internal name. This should be checked when creating/saving the plugin, or the restriction on DISPLAY_AS needs to be adapted.
