Bugs between LCD and outside panel

Somehow two baby flies have become trapped between the LCD panel and the outside panel of the flat screen TV.
I know they are not just caked on the outside, as I have tried several times to clean them off with small amounts of solution.
Is there anything I can do?
I was considering the compressed air can, like for cleaning computer keyboards.  But fear condensation would make things worse.  I don't want to remove the outer case unless I have to and it is safe.
Anything else I can try besides bringing the TV in for cleaning by Geek Squad?

Well, you have a unique scenario.
You could try compressed air, but I doubt it will get anything done, but it is worth a shot. It sounds like the TV needs to be taken apart so the internal portion of the screen can be cleaned. The other option, depending on the cost of labor to take the TV apart, is look at a replacement. I know that is not an ideal solution, but cost wise it may be better. 
Or you could live with the bugs

A few minutes after starting the mac, moisture starts accumulating between the LCD panel and the front glass which covers it.     Since the iMac goes Glass > Space > LCD it wouldn't be totally surprising that condensation would show up there if there is a lot of humidity and the temp variations between the outside of the glass and the inside of the glass.
    The space between the glass and lcd is not air tight. The glass is just a "cover" and not affixed to the actual LCD. It's held on by some magnets but there's still air going to and from between the lcd and the section that connects to the glass. It's like when you get condensation/ie., fogged windows in a car. The temp difference the air outside the glass and the air inside the glass as well as both surface sides it's a matter of physics that a fog will appear if the conditions are optimal.
    So,only few below things can help u in this case.
     1.Keep the iMac On,as much u can.we can keep the system in sleep all the time with energy saver settings.we will help u to do the same.[Deepak J] I use PC for Max to Max 2 to 4 hours in a Week so are you suggesting that I keep the PC on for rest of 160 Hours
    2.use of de-humidifier will might help.[Deepak J] Can you please tell me what is de-humidifier ?

    Its pretty obvious from this email that they have no clue on how to solve this problem. Combined with the fact that Lion has a lot of bugs, my impression is "Apple is the new Microsoft".

    Its not the lack of testing. I am sure moisture is a problem in many other parts of the world. More irritating are the 'suggestions' by so called apple experts.
    One solution could be to seal it from all sides. Should be a pretty standard job.

  • Problem of routing between inside and outside on ASA5505

    I have a ASA5505 with mostly factory default configuration. Its license allows only two vlan interfaces (vlan 1 and vlan 2). The default config has interface vlan 1 as inside (security level 100), and interface vlan 2 as outside (security level 0 and using DHCP).
    I only changed interface vlan 1 to IP 10.10.10.1/24. After I plugged in a few hosts to vlan 1 ports and connect port Ethernet0/0 (default in vlan 2) to a live network, here are a couple of issues I found:
    a) One host I plugged in is a PC, and another host is a WAAS WAE device. Both are in vlan 1 ports. I hard coded their IP to 10.10.10.250 and 10.10.10.101, /24 subnet mask, and gateway of 10.10.10.1. I can ping from the PC to WAE but not from WAE to the PC, although the WAE has 10.10.10.250 in its ARP table. They are in the same vlan and same subnet, how could it be? Here are the ping and WAE ARP table.

    I should have made the config easier to read. So here is what's on the ASA and the problems I have. The ASA only allows two VLAN interfaces configured (default to Int VLAN 1 - nameif inside, and Int VLAN 2 - nameif outside)
    port 0: in VLAN 2 (outside). DHCP configured. VLAN 2 pulled IP in 172.26.18.0/24, default gateway 172.26.18.1
    port 1-7: in VLAN 1 (inside). VLAN 1 IP is 10.10.10.1. I set all devices IP in VLAN 1 to 10.10.10.0/24, default gateway 10.10.10.1
    I have one PC in port 1 and one WAE device in port 2. PC IP set to 10.10.10.250 and WAE set to 10.10.10.101. PC can ping WAE but WAE can't ping PC. Both can ping default gateway.
    If I can't ping from inside interface to outside interface on ASA, how can I verify inside hosts can get to outside addresses and vise versa? I looked at ASA docs, but didn't find out how to set the routing between inside and outside. They are both connected interfaces, should they route between each other already?

  • Gap between lcd and digitiser

    Any one find the gap between ipad air lcd and digitiser annoying? I mean it could be better if they were one. Sometimes when tapping a little hard on th screen makes sound as if ita hollow inside.

    I never noticed it before, but yeah it has a larger gap on the right side than on the left...
    But hey, I look at the screen not at the gap. I'm happy to have an anti-glare IPS screen.

  • Bug between bootcamp and recent W7 update ?

    Hello,
    I have a Mac Pro with several hard drives, one being partionned:
    - Snow Leopard 10.6.8 kernel 64 bits
    - Window 7 64 bits, bootcamp 3.3
    This configuration has been running perfectly since more than 24 monthes, even with all the W7 updates.
    Today I installed some recent W7 updates, several dealing with .NET or IE, and two with so-called 'driver architecture V1.1'.
    After this update, being loggeg on W7 partition, when I try to copy a file from the OS X partition to some folder on the W7 partition, I have regurlarly a crash of W7 with a blue screen. I never had that before.
    I tried to uninstall the two W7 updates dealing with this pilot architecture V1.1, one is named 'kernel-driven ....', and one is named 'user-driven ...'. After removing these txo updates, everything is OK again. I was able to copy many files from OS X to W7 without crash or blue screen.
    Hence I suppose there is some bug between the Apple bootcamp drivers, especially the one which allows to mount and read HFS+ partitions, and this W7 update.

    I have investigated this bug furthermore, and read many forums. At the end, I am suspecting some bad interaction between these two W7 updates, and Kaspersky Internet Security 2013.
    I have :
    - set my network connexion to "automatic", in order it could be active duiring the "reboot / finishing installation" phase after W7 update
    - disactivated KIS 2013, and set the preferences in order it does not launch automatically during W7 boot.
    Then I installed the first suspected KB "infrastructure user-driven ...". After W7 reboot, no bug (bleu screen) during copying a file from the OS X partition towards the W7 partition. Then I reactived KIS, and reboot, some tests, no bug either.
    I did then the same procedure with the other suspected KB "insfrastructure kernel-driven ...". Same thing. No bug after reboot. Then I reactived KIS and reboot, no bug either.
    Hence it seems that Bootcamp in not the culprit, at least not by itself alone. Maybe only in combination with these two W7 updates, and with KIS 2013.
    Nevertheless, it's much more probable that there is some bad interaction between KIS 2013 and these two W7 updates. Performing these updates with both KIS 2013 disactivated (and not launched at boot), and the internet connexion set on "automatic", seems to prevent the problem.
    I need to perform some more intensive tests, but the bug seems to have disappeared, or at less is became fal less frequent.

  • Stuff between lcd and plastic screen

    So I have remnants of ....dust, pocket lint...whatever, but it is in between the pastic screen and the lcd screen. aparently there's some space for dirt to gather there. Is there any way to clean that area out? Does Apple cover this? Big bummer if dust can get in the viewing area.

    you may want to alert apple about this, seeing that this really shouldn't happen. try talking to the Apple Support by phone, they should help you from there.

  • Resolving differences/bugs between Z10 and Q10

    A BB10 version of Magmic's New York Times Crossword was finally released last week.  The app was awesome and worked flawlessly on the 9930.  I downloaded it on Thursday and immediately encountered several bugs that make me think this is a Z10-only app.  (Total lack of support for the physical keyboard, inability to scroll down/resolve screen elements and commands on lower half of screen, etc.).  I have contacted Magmic support directly regarding a fix or update, but I have some general questions for the community at large.
    Have many apps developed for the Z been subsequently optimized for the Q?  Is there any reason to believe that a developer would not work out the kinks between the platforms?  Or are developers simply adopting a one-size-fits-all philosophy for BB10 that ignores crtitical differences between the Z and Q?
    While I am by no means a hardcore gamer, I do hope that gaming on the Q is not destined for failure.

    I like Q10, it has been a long time since I used a mobile phone with physical keyboard. That is a special feeling to use a smartphone with a keyboard again.
    Z10 looks great but not that special or unique.

    I have encountered what appears to be a bug in the interaction of JRockit with X11 ssh forwarding.
    When running any Java GUI application on a remote machine using X11 forwarding via ssh, a variety of problems occur. For example:

    it would be nice to know if this problem is specific to the JRockit JDK or
    if you also can reproduce it using the corresponding Sun JDK 1.4.2. Please
    do also try with a later version such as latest JRockit JDK 5.0.

  • Slight gap at corners between LCD and base when closed

    Hello,
    I just got a brand new MBP 15" the other day and I noticed that when it is closed, the screen is not perfectly flush against the base of the computer. Rather, it is flush where it is latched in the center, and a slightly widening gap expands to the corners, where it is at its widest (about 2mm).
    Is this normal, or is the lcd on my laptop slightly warped?
    Any input would be appreciated, thanks.

  • How to remove the dust between Lcd and Front glass (Early2009)

    I just bought the new Imac less than 1 month
    then I found the dust over there

    You can quite easily remove the glass front, it's only held on with magnets.
    Use either a sucker, like that of a car sat nav or mobile phone holder, or if you dont have that, just get a bit of parcel tape and stick it firmly in the bottom lower corner and gently pull and the glass comes straight out no problems, peel the tape off, doesnt leave a residue then when you've done cleaning offer the glass back upto the frame and the magnets will grab it back into place.

  • Dust between LCD and glass

    Well, my 3rd ipod touch was a week 38. It was great until I noticed there were a few specks of dust underneath the glass, one of which seemed to create a bubble at certain angles. I went back to the 5th ave nyc store today and they were very cool about taking it back. The genius actually said "Yeah, there's no way you could've gotten dust in there".
    I've been finding that the 5th Ave store is so much better in terms of customer service than the SoHo store, so I will be doing business with them from now on.
    So just in case anyone has wondered about this, the Apple store should give your an easy exchange for dust lodged underneath the glass.
    And for the record, the dust-lodged ipod was a week 38 with corinne bailey rae on the cover. My replacement is also a week 38 but with Macy Grey on the cover. I'll see how it works out when I get home. I hope the 4th time is a charm!

    It's usually only visible from up close, or under very bright lighting conditions. My replacement had just one speck of dust under the glass, and I figure I'm done with constantly exchanging my ipods.
    If you really want to ruin things for yourself, take a flashlight up to the screen and look for any dust specks that you can't wipe away. You'll notice that they might be lodged underneath the glass. I discovered the dust when I was trying to clear all of the dust off before applying an invisible shield and discovered that a few specks couldn't be wiped away.
    But I really would say, if you don't notice it now, don't look for it. You'll just make yourself evermore pickier. I wish I'd never done so myself.

    Details: When a logout was followed by an immediate login, sometimes the server would throw duplicate session detected errors. This was because when logout happened, a fire-and-forget disconnect message was sent to the server that established a new session, and if the subsequent login happened before disconnect ACK returned from the server, that would establish another session and hence the error. The fix is to insert a slight delay between disconnect and ResultEvent dispatching. This way, disconnect has a chance to return before a login is performed.

    You've got an  incompatible Logitech driver and java was incompletely uninstalled.
    You may have a problem with the Wacom driver.
    I don't know if fixing those things will help.
    There also a few window server errors, but I don't know if they are causal.
    If you can note the time of the hangs, that might help narrow it down in the logs.

  • Is it a Bug? Integration between Dreamweaver and Fireworks is broken in somewhere?

    I use CS3 Suite. It is a big trouble for me in working on
    real pages. Integration is broken in somewhere else and after that
    point it becomes impossible to work on Fireworks through
    Dreamweaver.
    I've made test to show this trouble and I narrowed the
    problem to the pictures as shown in the figures below,
    1) In figure one I am creating a completely new Fireworks
    file as arrow.png with two frames and one slice in it. After I am
    saving it as .png I am exporting it as .html with images in /images
    subfolder.
    2) After saving and closing the file in Fireworks, in figure
    two, I am opening the html in Dreamweaver and changing the page
    properties by writing zeros to page margins and by changing the
    default font.
    -----I guess in this point something happens which breaks the
    integration between FW and DW--------because;
    3) In figure three I am opening the .png through Dreamweaver
    (by "Edit") and changes the place and size of the slice a little
    bit
    4) When I press Done in Fireworks I see this picture in
    figure four in Dreamweaver which shows integration between FW and
    DW about table structure is broken. (In this point if I add any
    behaviur to the slice DW doesn't recognize it, or any other change
    in FW can not be recognized by DW)
    5) In order to show this broken integration in table
    sturucture, I am putting a new slice to png when Editing from DW in
    FW.
    6) When I click on Done in DW I see this picture on the
    figure six. Beacuse FW doesn't have any effect on html's table
    structure code.

    I can reproduce your results, but I don't consider this a
    bug; just a
    limitation of Roundtrip editing.
    You can't add or change slices without re-exporting the html
    from
    Fireworks. Roundtrip is for image editing, not for altering
    the table
    structure. If I edit, and re-export, my table remains intact.
    If you want to edit the slices and resulting html, open the
    PNG file
    independently of Dreamweaver, change your slices and images
    and then
    choose File > Update HTML (this option is not available
    when in
    Roundtrip mode). FW will ask you to locate the html file.
    When located,
    you will have the options of
    Replace Images and Their HTML - replaces the previous
    Fireworks HTML.
    Update Images Only - overwrites only the images.
    As an aside, the rigid table created by FW is rarely
    desirable for a
    production web site.
