Bugs in HFM 11.1.2.2.300 ?

Dear experts,
I want to know if my issue below is caused by bug in HFM v11.1.2.2.300:
FYI, I'm using EPMA and my HFM is shared with Dimension Library
1. After running a consolidation, my elimination journal is created as I wanted. Clicking on Manage Journal brings me to the list of journal (above) and below is journal detail. But when i want to move to one journal and another, i got warning on the screen "The journal you are trying to load has been deleted and cannot be processed. Please refresh the journal list". I didn't intend to delete or do anything to the journal, only wants to view it. So, when I lower down the viewing screen, i'm able to select the journal list without any prompt message and i pull up again the journal view and voila!! the screen displaying my other journal. This is not happening when i'm viewing a normal journal (as in <entity cur adjs> level)
2. In my server, I have STAT application restored, also have my own application. STAT app, has many aliases: English, French, German, etc, while my apps has alias English, AliasTemp1, AliasTemp2. When I go to workspace, trying to change alias from preferences menu, I notice that STAT app is on the first list. So I click on dropdown and change the app, i select my own app. But the language dropdown doesn't change, means, it still point to STAT app.
3. I want to change my consolidation method's name from dimension library. I changed it from CostConsol to CostMethod. Since my apps is a shared one, i check that in my app, the name has been changed (from view application). After validating and deploy, I open Ownership Management to check the name. The name hasn't change yet, still using the old one. How to change the consol method name ?
4. In consolidation rules file, you always has syntax call MyDataUnit.GetItem(i, strAccount, strICP, strCustom1, strCustom2, strCustom3, strCustom4, dData). I have more than 4 custom dimension (i have 6). I want to include all 6 into this syntax, but my consolidation is aborted. Does this syntax only limit to custom4 dimension ?
5. I want to retrieve POWN and Parent value by using HS.Parent.Member and HS.Node.POWN(""). According to admin guide, both syntax can be run in Calculation Subroutine(). But i tried, it doesn't work.
6. In Sub Equity Pick up, I can't execute HS.EXP command. It always generates an error.
Please help if anyone knows/aware that this is happening in HFM v11.1.2.2.300 or maybe i did something wrong with the code.

Memberlist for generic dimension in HFM 11.1.2.2.300

What is the syntax for making a memberlist for a generic dimension in HFM. Trying to write it the "old" way which works for all the none generic dimensions does not work.
The dimension is called C3Network, Dimension Alias:AllNetworks, Short Name: NTW
This is what I tried:

You'll want to use the Alias for this.

BUG: Adding guide randomly changes resolution to 4,000+ dpi and width to 1.111"(CS4)

Bizarre bug, wondering if anyone has encountered this and if anyone please has any insight.
Upgraded to CS4 about a month ago, and in the last few weeks have discovered a major bug. I'm working in some 300 dpi files, and was confounded when I realized several of them were suddenly over 4,000 dpi and had all been rescaled to 1.111" wide.
Just now, I discovered when: I was dragging in a guide, when all of a sudden I noticed the ruler on the side jumped in, and the file was now 1.111". I was unable to undo it, as previous steps stayed at the same scale. Also, it doesn't happen every time I drag in a guide, just randomly. And it doesn't seem to happen in every file either.
I've found that if I divide the resolution by 300 and then multiply the width by the result, the file returns to its proper dimensions. Still, this is totally bizarre behavior.
Please help me!

Flash player 11.3.300.257 plays video too fast

Hi
I have just updated to the lastest version of flashplayer 11.3.300.257. Now, all vidoes in youtube and bbc iplayer etc that use flashplayer run very fast and without sound (just like fast forwarding x4).
I am on Windows Vista Business Edition (all updates included)
Browser is IE9.
I have tried a clean reinstall of flash player a number of times but same issue.
I have cleared caches and deleted all history etc via the advanced section of the software.
I have also removed the hardware acceleration. Nothing has helped.
However, if i run in "safe mode" it seems to run at the correct speed. I have uninstalled all recent software updates (such as skype) but still the issue remains. Is it likely to be a conflict issue?
I have tried to install a previous version of flashplayer from the archives page but get an error message 1722.
Can anyone help?

In order to get traction on this, they're going to need to be able to reproduce it.
It would be great if you could do two things:
- Provide direct links to a couple videos that reproduce this problem.
If they're on different sites, and based in the US, even better. (Geographic restrictions make it hard to troubleshoot. We can VPN, but that can mask/introduce network and timing problems.)
- Provide the output of dxdiag.exe
Go to Start > Run > and type "debugdiag" no qoutes, then hit [Enter]
Save the output and attach it to the bug above.

FDM & ERPI to FDMEE - Upgrade approach/challenges ?

We are in FDM/ERPI 11.1.2.2.300 (used for loading data from EBS and file systems into HFM 11.1.2.2.300) and planning to upgrade (within the existing environment [in-place upgrade]) to 11.1.2.3. As we see that FDM/ERPI are integrated together as FDMEE in 11.1.2.3, we had big grey area on how FDMEE would function in contrast to disparate FDM/ERPI.
We needed inputs from veterans or anyone who had experienced the upgrade to answer the follwing queries.
Queries:
[1] We have come to know that FDM and ERPI are integrated together as FDMEE in 11.1.2.3.
     [a] Since we have FDM and ERPI as separate components in 11.1.2.2.300, how should FDM and ERPI components be upgraded to FDMEE ? Any specific steps / approach that need to be followed ?
     [b] Are there any known issues / challenges involved in upgrading from disparate FDM & ERPI to FDMEE ?
     [c] How would ERPI artifacts (of 11.1.2.2.300) function in FDMEE - Are there any specific migration or any manual set-up required post-upgrade (to 11.1.2.3) to have ERPI artifacts (like source system, period mapping, location, import formats, data load mapping etc)      functioning in FDMEE ?
     [d] Similarly how would FDM artifacts (from 11.1.2.2.300) function in FDMEE ? Are there any specific migration or manual set-up required post-upgrade (to 11.1.2.3) to have FDM artifacts (like mapping, validation rules etc) functioning in FDMEE ?
[2] Since only ODI 11.1.1.7 is compatible with 11.1.2.3 (from Compatability matrix), how do we upgrade ODI from 11.1.1.6 to 11.1.1.7 ? Are there any patch available to upgrade or should we uninstall ODI 11.1.1.6 and install ODI 11.1.1.7 ?
Any insightful response will be helpful for us as it would help us to gain clarity/confidence and comfort in upgrading to 11.1.2.3.

As you are upgrading from 11.1.2.2.300 to EPM 11.1.2.3 (within the existing environment [in-place upgrade]) , it's called Applying maintenance release EPM 11.1.2.3 on EPM 11.1.2.2
[a] when you apply maintenance release , FDM 11.1.2.2 gets upgraded to FDM 11.1.2.3 ,
     and ERPi gets upgraded to FDMEE 11.1.2.3
[b] i have not faced any issue while upgrading FDM
[c] please check epm_install.pdf for EPM 11.1.2.3 for upgradation task for FDM and FDMEE (see page 257 / 258)

Photoshop CS4 auto flattening my files. Anyone else experienced this?

Photoshop has started flattening my files, seemingly at random. Obviously I don't need to explain that this is killing my workflow and is an unacceptable bug! I am currently reconstructing a 300 + layer brochure file from scratch, which is a real blast.
I have spent a while searching for other people who have experienced this / possible solutions, but have come up with nothing. So, has anyone else experienced this, and does anyone have any potential solutions?
If it makes any difference, I have been running GridIron Flow. I didn't have these issues before installing the app. I have since uninstalled it.

Reporting Studio - Cell reference from saved grid object

Hi!
Is it possible to use cell references in one grid ("GridA") that reference data in another grid ("GridB") on the same report, where the second grid is a linked grid object? I have inserted a formula row in GridA and am using the equation GridB.[1,A] and the report is returning #ERROR.
I have tested the following cases:
- Creating a new grid ("GridC") that is not a linked grid, and referencing a cell from there with the GridC.[1,A] formula - Returned value successfully
- Creating a text row on GridA and using GetCell to pull the data - Returned value successfully
- Deleting and re-inserting the GridB linked grid object - Did not return value
I am using HFR Studio version 11.1.2.362 reporting off of HFM 11.1.2.2.300. I believe that it was possible to do this this type of cell referencing in past versions of HFR/HFM.

Please note that the deletion needs to be done bottom-up because of a refresh of the
indexing after deleting of objects in the collection.
The refresh of the grid is done automatically because of the data binding.

Starting EXS crashes logic

Hi there,
I have a strange problem with the EXS in logic 7.
Logic is shut down with a complete crash, when I try to open some of my EXS-instruments. I scanned the library with Redmatica EXS-Manager, everything seems to be fine, all samples are there. The same library with the same samples work fine on my old logic 5.5 pc ... but not on the mac

yes, it´s great, the support for PRO (!?) Software is amazing...
After 3 Months I now found out, that it is a general Problem in Logic 7.x. Some samples are loaded, some not. Redmatica says, they couldn´t help with their own software. So half of my library works, the other half not. Nobody knows, why.
I startet to rebuild the exs-programs for some of the samples that crashed before and it works fine. So the problem is not a sample-problem. It´s something between Redmatica and Logic...so I wouldn´t buy redmatica EXS-Manager again, although they have an excellent support (thanks Andrea!), but what should I do, if it doesn´t work anyway.
Redmatica says, the problem is fixed in Logic 8. Great, let´s see what bugs will wait for us for another 300 Euro/Dollar, that maybe will be fixed in Logic 9...or 10...who knows

Process Management with Taskflow: variable result Failure

Hi guys,
I've created taskflows to automate Process Management. They work fine, but there's something unusual: even though each phase runs properly, I get as a variable result "Failure". And I do not have a variable result "failure" (just "success").
Have you ever experienced this issue? Is this a bug?
HFM version is 11.1.1.3.

Bugs & Improvements - Music Player - Shuffle won't shuffle past 300

I have encountered a bug and experiences of major lag functionality while using the Music player.
1. Shuffle appears to not want to shuffle past the #300. It continually bounces around in numbers under that mark no matter what category I'm in and I have over 1000 songs on my Touchpad. So maybe, 124,28,287,145...etc
2. The volume slider lags fairly heavily at times. Especially when you have more than one app open and you are multi-tasking. Also, it is redundent to also display the volume popup in the middle of the screen. I think just messing with the slider in the music app is sufficient.
3. Scubbing through a song is sometimes laggy as well.
4. Why is the fullscreen button there? why doesn't it show a picture of the Album Art or a CD front or something, and when in 'cover flow' why doesn't it then swap that button out for an icon that looks like lines with numbers or something...which is what its going back to. The full screen button seems a bit off to me. Also the snap transition from List View -> Cover Flow is a bit abrupt (it just pops), with all the other fades and nice ease in eaes out in other parts of the interface you'd think that all things would be that same way for the sake of consistency.
5. Flick Kinetic scrolling through the song list is also laggy especially with multiple apps open or multi tasking. i.e. Browser & Mail, when I am experiencing lag.
6. Cover Flow - Kinetic Scrolling/Flicking, I would like to be able to flick and have kinetic scrolling in the Cover Flow Album Art View. It would be to flick through multiple songs instead of just ONE at a time, which can be a tad slow when you sometimes have upwards of 5000+ songs in a library. Would also be nice to see the song number in the Cover Flow as well.
On the plus side the Music player in the Notification Bar is fantastic and works well from the lock screen as well. Love it when songs change and you are notified when in other apps. That is very well implemented. The beats audio is also great, argueably the best sound out of a tablet.

SF-300 'interface range' command BUG

When I reconfigure interfaces previously configured with "interface range" to different VLAN interface change VLAN, but after reboot it move back to vlan configured with "interface range".

Thank you for the explanation, but to fix software, someone has to open a Service Request . It may have been noticed and scheduled for fix.
I would you ask you to please be kind enough to goto www.cisco.com/go/sbsc and call by phone or click to chat with the folks at the small business support center (SBSC) and open a case. They will give in response a service request (SR) number.
It doesn't take long to open a SR, and someone at SBSC is then responsible for feedback to you to let you know what's happening.
The SR will ensure that;
our technicians verify your findings and
escalate the case up into development.
if this problem has been observed previously and there is a resolution, you may be asked to even try, if you wish a pre-release version of firmware.
Since you have a CCNP, I am guessing that this process is not foreign to you.
It can be annoying opening a case, especially when you have documented the issue in the post,   but at least you can point the technician to this posting, where you have almost explained everything needed to get development to look at the problem.
Sergry, it's a interest observation, I just use the 300 series GUI to add Gig2 as a access port to vlan 2, the following script was created;

switchport general pvid 2   - this is a error I guess as the switch port is in access mode.

Did you use the GUI to generate the CLI. or just use the CLI without reference to the CLI manual?.

I will be tomorrow, on a issue I highlighted in red. It is a minor issue for me, as the switch still leaves GiG2, in access mode,   as a untagged interface in VLAN2.

Planning Adhoc works differently than HFM Adhoc ?

We have Hyperion Planning v11.1.2.2.300 and HFM v11.1.2.2.x installed.
Smartview version is v11.1.2.5.200 (Build 174).
It looks like Adhoc behaves differently depending on whether we are using HFM or Planning but we are unsure if this is intentional or a bug (I think its a bug or, God forbid, we do something wrong!).
Example for HFM:
Row: Entity
Column B1 - Version (Working)
Column B2 - Scenario (Budget)
Column B3 - Year (FY13)
Column B4 - Period (Jan)
In Column C3 we insert Year = FY14
Press refresh and column C1, C2, and C4 is filled with the contents of the equivelant B cell,
If we do the same for planning then we get an error "Member FY14 is out of place" !!???
This applies to anything we insert in cell C1 to C3.
If we insert a value in C4, ie Period = Feb, and press refresh then it works and C1 to C3 is filled with the equivalent values from B !?
Why oh why ?!

It is not a bug. The different providers work differently. In Planning it get rid of the repeated members, you would select on the options->data tab suppress repeated members.

ODI : extract datas from HFM filtering on base members of certain accounts

Does anyone know how to filter only Basemembers for certain accounts for extracting data ?
I need to extract data for level0 members of certain accounts which is about 300. If I don't put the filter its more than 2000 records.

Hi - unfortunately you cannot do that in the current KM. We faced the same issue and logged the issue with Oracle. Its being considered as an enhancement not as a bug. So we have to wait for future releases. As a solution for this we created TaskLists in HFM and extracted data.
