N95 photo shooting problem with new firmware V11

I have got a problem with photo shooting after upgrading my N95 (Product Code: 0534832) to the new firmware (v11.0.026) via Nokia Software Updater.
Before upgrading the firmware, I can turn off the loud and ugly snapping sound when shooting a photo; all I need to do is to change to Silent Profile (that has Warning tones OFF). But it seems that I can no longer turn that ugly sound off with the new firmware!
Is that a bug? Is there another way I can turn the sound off?

Actually I have 2 N95 phones, one is my GFs, both of them are bought and used in Hong Kong.
The way I test the differences between versions is directly comparing each feature with the two phones, where the one with new firmware has product code #0534832, and the one with old firmware has product code #0548445. Both of them has www.nokia.com.hk printed on the box and manuals, so I assume local law is not an issue.
By the way, I have just discovered that the one with product code #0548445 cannot update via Nokia Software Updater.

The most important problem in new firmware is in gallery part.After installing new firmware I copy my images in image folder in 8gb hdd.after that every time I go to gallery after 2 or 3 seconds it automatically comes out and I cannot use gallery to view my images .Accroding to some reports I reinstall firmware again but problem still exist.What can I do.

(Software bugs)
1. After many times connect and disconnect jack 3.5 stereo cable or media cable a phone hangs or restart.
2. If run music player and call update library & switch to main menu, the music player hangs & close it's self after few seconds. After this hangs & self close no one music track can't be play. ( It's fixed after restart phone ).
3. Put to SD card to Music folder few files. Run the music player & update library - we have add new tracks to library. Exit from music player, remove music files that has been add to SD and run the music player again. Update library again - result 0 files add (it's right), but files that has been removed still in media library and do ways for clear library!
4. Turn the camera ring for run camera applicatio. The Camera application has runed. Make one foto using button on phone body. After shot we see the foto preview. Don't close application and turn back the camera ring - must be close camera application and preview - but preview has closed but camera application still runing and we see black screen ( because camera lense has closed).
( may be present any other bugs - i think bugs on N95-1 more that i print...)
IT's EXPECT NEW FIRMARE VERSION FOR N95-1 THEN WILL BE FIXED ALL!!!
And again about Hardware!
I state in Russia in Saint-Petersburg - it's big sity ( second after Moscow), but i run the GPS maps application or GPS-data, or Google Maps, & GPS receiver very poor take the satelites signals! I try run it's in difference locations & on open landscape & in vilage & on hi levels houses - but GPS try connection and get satelites information more that 30minutes and one or two times applications will taked information about one or two satelites no more ( on test positions has been connection to EDGE with 3G support and turn on A-GPS ) !!!
THAT's THIS??? NOKIA YOU MUST RESPONCE FOR YOU PRODUCTS AND THEN YOU APPROVE ABOUT THAT N95 CAN USING GPS NAVIGATION!!!
Also too very slow N95-1 work with SD card and other memory stores!!! It's very poor for Smartphone!!! No one devices not have so very poor transfer with memory store!!!

like me ( I have a Nokia N95-1 firmware v20.0.015 at 13-11-07 RM-159 Nokia N95(05.01) ).

Manual firmware download and installing

I have Nokia 5800XM, and want to update it to the latest firmware version. But there is a problem. My internet connection is very poor and Software Updater can't download firmware fully, before my internet crashes(it happens once per hour) Also this stupid program has no resume download function. So is there a way to download firmware manually via normal ftp or http link? and then start over Software updater, so it can start updating, not downloading?

N85 Latest Firmware v30???

I have checked via NSU.. no availabilty
checked via FOTA... available v30
I am from India, i wanna Flash up my phone using NSU once. it's a **bleep** phone with heck of problems and i wanna clear out everything once. can anyone tell me how do i get v30 over NSU?? Nokia bangs the users while offering the price and no responsibilty at all on Nokia Care Centers. Darn, they don't even know what i know about s60 phones. Nokia offer me a job n Nokia Care Center. instead of 50 fools, one intelligent is much better....

You have to wait till Nokia upload latest firmware for your mobile in their NSU program. Once they upload, you can easily upgrade your N85's firmware using NSU. Remember that, after upgrading firmware, format your memory card and hard format your mobile to get best performance without any error. Good luck...

Installing Certificates on N95 after firmware V11

Hi
trying to install a self certified certificate for our work email server on an N95 as well as for our Wireless access at work. I was able to do this when I first had my N95 with firmware version 10, the certificate appeared in Tools / Settings / General / Security / Certificate Management. WLAN and secure connection via Road Sync worked fine.
However after upgrading top V11 and now V12 this functionallity seems to have changed. I have copied the .cer file on and clicked the file in File Manager but get an error message "Unable to open. File type not supported" so cannot install the certificate this way.
Internet suggests browsing to the web site that the certificate is used on and the certificate should then appear in Certificate Management, this no longer works.
Has anyone got their own certificate on to an N95 after firmware v10?

I have wasted a lot of time trying to get my E51 to load a self-signed certificate. I have the latest E51 firmware. I have tried every trick I have found on the web and in this thread to no avail. My other phone is a HTC 8525 and it works fine with the same certificate. I also followed the instructions in the Nokia Mail for Exchange documentation to load certificates. The certificate is already in the format described in the Nokia documentation but in frustration I have tried every other format as well as renaming the certificate.
If I load the certificate onto the phone using PC Suite and then use file Manager to open it, I get "Unable to open. File type not supported"
If I upload the certificate onto a web server and then point to it with the web browser I get a 'File Corrupted' error.
Can anyone point me to what I am doing wrong? I really don't want to give up this phone but it is useless if I cannot get my work meial to function properly. It will be back to my Windows Mobile phone....

Your problem has some similarities to this problem that I reported earlier this month that that still arises every few days. I was thinking that my problem was related to some sort of bug in Entourage, but maybe it's something else...

Firmware, warranty and Vodafone

Hi there, I apologise if I ask a question that is pushing the boundaries of what is acceptable in this forum but I need a little clarification.
I am, unfortunately the owner of a Vodafone branded N96 and as such I have firmware V11. I'm more than a little fed up with the constant restarts, poor wifi and bluetooth reliability and odd behaviour of the music player. I've tried all resets, had a replacement phone and I my current phone has been sent back to Nokia and refurbished, all to no avail.
There seems to be no getting over the obvious that I need firmware later than V11, and to put it mildly Vodafone are not playing ball, in fact on their forum they have taken to closing any thread that even mentions firmware, not really helpful.
My question is, at least one of the Vodafone mods and several of the contributors insist that whilst debranding would invalidate the Vodafone warranty it would not invalidate the Nokia warranty, could anyone confirm that this is true? I'm not convinced and it's not really something I want to do but Vodafone seem to be backing N96 users into a corner.

If you go down that road, you would indeed invalidate the Nokia warranty as it is an unauthorised procedure carried out by unauthorised personnel, and it is detectable.
For this reason, they don't allow it to be discussed on this forum, so if you go any further the moderators will remove the thread.

Bookmarks remembers only current track and position within it. Current list of tracks and position of current track within this list are ignored.
So opening of bookmark opens the list of one track (without previous and next tracks)
Pause + Shutdown doesn't remember position within the track.
So next turning on displays last track in the initial position.
(though Shutdown during playback works correctly)
My previous players was ZEN Nano Plus and ZEN Stone Plus with built-in speaker. I really enjoys them.
I have bought EZ300 thinking it will be even better.
Though impossibility of folder's navigation disappointment me deeply.
The last advantage of EZ300 was bookmarks. But they appears buggy... :-(

Latest firmware update and more problems with 30" external displays?

New macbook pro user since a few weeks, so first post here.
I'm aware of various issues with the displayport to dual-dvi adapter, especially with 30" 2560x1600 monitors. All threads I've found on are 1-3 years old though.
I got my 17" macbook pro a few weeks ago and I've had very few problems running my 30" dell 3008wfp as external screen. I had issues at times getting it to work after boot up, with blackout and various errors (problems I've read about in older threads), but once stable it would work without issues for days.
Yesterday the macbook found and installed a new firmware update, and wow, all **** broke lose. The external screen won't run at 2650x1600 for more than a minute before blacking out or suffering major graphical errors. Ironically one of the key points in the firmware update is better support for external monitors...
It will run nice and stable mirrored at 1920x1200, but not at 2650x1600.
Is anyone else in a similar situation after the latest update?

Two bug fixes in 1.03 firmware

It looks like the constant rebooting bug is fixed. I loaded something over with an equalizer set and nothing bad happened. The other more trivial bug fix is that world times now work properly if you are in a time zone where daylight savings time is set.
The bug where the date in the Date and Times settings always shows in US format is still there.

No it's not a bug, Oracle will treat "datab" as alias to "dataa" if comma left out.
Doesn't your view has two columns id and datab, but datab column showing dataa data?
