Build a pop out window

Hello All:
I would like to build a pop out window that can allow users to select a value. After the user selects a value, the value will be displayed on the previous page. My main question is that how we build a pop out window? Can someone give me a simple example?

using Javascript:

How to create an Interactive pop out window in inDesign CS 5?

Happy New Year everyone.
How do I create an interactive pop-out window in inDesign CS5? I want to have a filled content frame which has image, text and a border. when the user clicks on that frame, a pop-out window frame appears slightly over the previous frame in with a drop shadow fx. Then when the user clicks the pop-out window, it closes and the original content frame appears. Attached is a screenshot for reference.

For what end product? HTML? SWF? PDF? Offset print? (I don't think so, but I might as well ask.)

But is the function "popitup()" actually defined somewhere? if there is no complementary script code in the head or an external JS file, naturally it won't work. And by all means, one can find a million alternate pop-up code generating tools...

Pop-out window does not show the video

I am having a video chat, but the pop-out window does not show the video when the main window is minimized. I have the latest version installed. The same problem happened once a few months ago (with the latest version installed).I searched online for quite a few days, but none of the solutions worked. Then one day the problem went away (mysteriously).

Do you have this issue with all your contacts or only contacts using Skype on a Mac computer?

Pop Out Window has vanished ?

Hi can anyone help, when on a video call my pop out window has stopped appearing when I open another IE page in front of Skype. Up until today I could have Skype in the background and be able to carry on doing what I was on with and still see and speak to the person calling via the pop out window, now its just not coming on ???

Try to reset all Skype settings. Quit Skype or use Windows Task Manager to kill any Skype.exe process. Go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %appdata% and then press Enter or click the OK button. The Windows File Explorer will pop up. There locate a folder named “Skype”. Rename this folder to something different, e.g. Skype_old. Next go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %temp%\skype and then press Enter or click the OK button. Delete the DbTemp folder. Restart Skype. N.B. If needed, you will still be able to re-establish your call and chat history. All data is still saved in the Skype_old folder.

As far as the prices, the difference is likely the laptop version is the SD version and the iPad one is available in HD. That's the only reason you'll see a price difference. It has nothing to do with the device with movies/movie rentals. Apps yes, these no.

Problem with pop out window in my smarter mail

For work I have to use SmarterMail. When I go to create a new email or reply to someone, a new smaller window pops out for me to create my message. The problem is.... well the text is not right. Kind of hard to describe so I have cut and paste an example below. Sometimes it can be very difficult to decipher a message. Please help me fix this. It has not been a problem until the most recent firefox update. Also it has been affected on all my PC's and laptop.
The example below is what I see when I hit reply to a message. The information I need is there but there is a bunch of other stuff there too. I think its HTML code or something... PLEASE HELP ME FIX IT

Resizing the webcam pop out window

Hi,
I am using Skype for desktop version 6.21.0.104. Is there a way to resize the always-on-top pop-out camera window?
That window is pretty small and I'd like to be able to increase its size. Is it possible?

Maddening pop-out New Event window

I searched for this topic, but couldn't seem to find it.
Maybe I'm the only one who finds the pop-out window that emerges whenever you create a new event very annoying...
Is there a way to turn this function off? It pops out from the right side, or--if you move the calendar to the right side of the screen to hide this pop-out--to the left.
It drives me nuts, because it hides the window of another program that I refer to while in iCal.
Anyone have a solution for this? Many thanks!

Thanks for the tips; I didn't know you could detach the little bugger.
However, clicking the i-button doesn't seem to be a semi-permanent solution; when I create a new event, the same window pops back up. At least now I can close it, though, instead of shoving it aside.
I wish there were simply a way to turn off the info window...

Pop-up windows are blocked even though I uncheck "Block pop-up windows" in the options.

In Facebook, when I try to launch the player to play all the songs Songs iLike, it does not work. Instead, an empty window opens up. Also in Windows Live, when I try to pop out my conversations, it just says "If your pop out window is blocked, check your browser settings." and the same empty window appears.

You may have another pop-up blocker on that PC, maybe as part of a security program.

Persistent Subpanel - Video Pop out problem.

I want to have it a video display on my main vi that can be "popped out" when a button is clicked. To do this I thought to run the pop out window as a subvi and embed it in a subpanel on the main vi until the user presses the pop out button. However, I can't figure out how to make it so that when the vi isn't running for the subpanel to show the front panel of the subvi. Is this persistent subvi subpanel behaviour possible?

Hi There!
It's not possible to do this, however I've written you a possible work around to explain how you can immatate this. Basically, you overlay a picture ring on top of your SubPanel - you can then hide it's label and index. Take a print screen of the subpanel when it's running and input that into the ring. when you start the program have the visability set to true (so it can be seen) untill you change the picture, then set it to false. Finally, at the end of the program make it visable again.
This seems to me the only way we can replicate what you're after, please find it attached.

A pop up window comes up when I click on safari but I can't close out of it nor can I continue access to safari...how can I fix this?

A pop up window opens when I try to open safari, however, I can't exit out of it, nor can I continue using safari. How can I fix this? (the iMac was purchased summer 2011 and all updates done). Thanks.

I had the same issue and I found turning off safai extensions fixed the issue. Must be an extension that's causing this problem.

The best way to do what you're asking is with the Composition widget. Start with the Tooltip preset, which, by default shows the info on rollover. You can change the option to show on click, which is what you're after. You can also add the close button or have the info disappear on rollout.

Closing Out of Pop Up Windows without Pressing the Red X button

Hey, this is my first Mac ever. I am not much of a computer carer. However, I don't want to wreck this computer. I understand with PC's you can get viruses or malware "whatever it is" from closing out of the pop up windows by just pressing the close "X" button in the upper right hand corner similar to the red "x" button on the macs. Now I know there was a way to close out of the window by just pressing Alt+ F4 and it would safely close the window. Is there any way to safely do that with pop up windows for macs?

yesssssss , EXACTLY !!!! before the update ,whenever I open an external link, Tweetdeck used to stay in front, and now Firefox moves in front of Tweetdeck<<<< EXACTLY !!!
